Deputy Governor in Yobe

Barely one month after the Shehu of
Borno and the Deputy Governor of
the state narrowly escaped death by
a suicide bomber at the Maiduguri
central Mosque, the Emir of Fika and
Chairman, Yobe state Council of
Chiefs, Dr. Muhammadu Abali Ibn
Muhammadu Idrissa narrowly
escaped death yesterday when a
suicide bomber detonated an
explosive material while the Royal
Father was coming out from Mosque
after Friday prayers.
An eye witness who gave his name
as Salisu Musa said “during our
Friday prayer at the Central Mosque
located in front of the Emir’s Palace
here in Potiskum town, an unknown
person was initially sighted sitting
among the Emir’s entourage and he
was asked to leave the place. So,
immediately after the prayer, the
same person was sighted rushing
towards the Emir but the Emir’s
Police orderly quickly pushed the
man and the Bomb exploded pulling
the Police’s arm and injuring dozens
of people’.

A visit to the scene of the incidence
shows the corpse of the suicide
bomber torn into two; his waist and
chest were divided. He was wearing
a yellow gown with a cap and a pair
of sandals

Sympathizers and worshipers at the
scene were asked to leave the place
to allow security operatives made up
of Police and Army to do their work
but the mob refused to leave which
led to a peaceful protest against a
military personnel who shot his gun
into the air to scare the angry mob.
Some elders of the Emirate Council
had to intervene to calm the
situation. The victims were all
rushed to the emergency unit of
General Hospital, Potiskum for
treatment. About 15 people were
seen being dressed while others
went home with minor injuries to
treat themselves.

Tension has risen in Potiskum town
over the incidence. Adamu Abdullahi
a Muslim Cleric condemned the
attack saying “it is very unfortunate
for a suicide bomber to attack
Muslims on a worship ground in the
month of Ramadan, this is a devilish
act and God will punish the
perpetrators of this evil act”.

Security has been intensified in the
town with thorough checking at
military road blocks and one of the
major roads passing in front of the
Divisional Police Office was blocked
to avoid further attack on the Police,
a Police source revealed.

By the time of filing this report,
when contacted on phone to speak
on the incidence, Police Public
Relations Officer, ASP Toyin
Gbagadesin said “the Police
Commissioner will soon brief the
press on the matter.”

@Op: unless u're using d same system for music production, u don't need a high end sound card. Except if u're encodin for 5.1 surround mix. Nevertheless, u can make do with emu 0404 or sometin better.
As per d graphics card, get nvidia quadro fx 4000 (1.5gb ddr3 memory, abt 800mhz speed processor, open gl 3.0, etc). That's wђat give u more bang for d box. But be warned its around 50k in ikeja (computer village). But u'll be shocked @ wat that dude does, especially, if u use after effect heavily. Or better still to save money, get nvidia gt8800. That's about 20k or less. But don't be fooled by d price, dat lil dude rocks.

@Op: there are several plugins to do that clean up for u na. Even on d export page for premiere, u can activate a smoothin filter to do that.
Google Neat Video plugin. It works with after effect though. Besides, ur camera footage must be well shot for dis tins to work properly

@maxisioro: there's nothin u can compare with a mac. Cuts thru ur jobs and seldom hangs or slow down like windows unless there's a big problem with d os but that's rare. I'm gettin one dis month end. Get a macbook pro core i7, 4gb (u'll buy more ram like 8gb or 16gb for video), 500gb hdd (u'll need like 1tb or more cos dis space gets filled up easily), etc. Make sure its nothin less than 15inches. If u can get 17 inches, that's better cos u'll need all d space.

1. Cos they are used to eating variety of potatoes. They enjoy havin variety of women

2. Cultural/religious reasons: d culture or religion permits them and they believe they should

3. Wen d 1st wife is fond of naggin/pissin them off constantly. They get another woman and use her to spite d 1st. If d 2nd turns out same tin like d 1st, he goes ahead and marries more and more

4. Some men have it in their genes and wld marry another for reasons they themselves can't say.

5. If d 1st wife can give birth at all or she can't give birth to a particular sex the man wants.
