Politics › Re: Why Should Nigeria President Refer As Nigeria Presidency?? by bigtt76(f): 7:44am On Jun 07, 2020 |
Presidency refers to the office of the president especially the numerous governmental agencies under the office. The term has been in use right from time and not just from 2015. The use goes on to show a collective agreement to a decision by all the 'officers' under the president's office especially in cases where such a decision requires the president to consult with the agencies to arrive at one. Other countries may not have similar system hence not using the term. We use the term because of the need to ensure some agencies are well catered for and put on their toes hence being located under the president's office instead of a ministerial department. Chimaraymond455: please can somebody enlighten me on this we have Ghana President, American President, cameroun President, South African President, Togo President, i.t.c,,.. why Nigeria presidency does it mean that Nigeria have more than one Presiden?? why Nigeria President refer as Nigeria presidency ? specially from 2015 till today ? |

Break-up is totally fine it's the after effect that is the issue. Within the Igbos, you have minorities and that is why it's always difficult getting a consensus among them compared to the yorubas and Hausas. proeast: Afonja unity begger, how market?
Since you don't want to accept the reality that Nigeria is living its last days, others know that already.

Hear these fool, instead of trying to enlighten his colleagues on how to sing songs of value he's here talking in the rubbish. For instance, Olamide's use of Baddo brought to life the Baddo gang killing people in Ikorodu... That area has not been the same again. David's 30 billion gang inspired the One million boys cult Naira Marley's song Ji Jo soapy caused many drug ladden youths into wanking in public won't be surprised if that's what is encouraging rape now. We got many others singing in the rubbish and nonsense. Imagine if they start singing against rape what change that would bring. Tiwa Savage be dancing half nak3d on stage and you think boys won't be getting the urge to go fok? kohded: Nigerian recording and performing artiste, Korede Bello has prompt that rapists be castrated as a means of curbing rape in Nigeria and past. His suggestion is coming days after a Nigerian woman, Uwaila Omozuwa received raped and murdered whereas learning in her native RCCG church. The unhappy incident which occurred final week in Benin Metropolis, Edo State has attracted nationwide criticisms.Whereas Uwaila‘s homicide had many questioning what degree of heartlessness would make some individuals rape a younger woman to dying proper contained in the Church, others have questioned the efficiency of God’s energy and existence after some indignant Nigerians took to twitter to development the hash tag “#DraggingGod“.It's sequel to this unhappy occasion that singer, Korede Bello has prompt that rapists be castrated to assist curb rape within the nation and past.

Heavens will not fall but think about the real cost of breakups - internal agitations by minorities of minorities. Nigeria will end up in smithereens of countries and more violence. People don't think shaa.
They think if for example Biafra were actualized, there would not be minorities within it that feels marginalized to want out? Even in the North there are minorities not considered worthy. |

Good so how long would it take him to save that N800 to buy the dollar equivalent? If he saves N40 per month, it will take him 20 months to save up N800 barring any emergency spending. Compare that to present day... We still have people who would need to save for same period just to afford the equivalent of the same amount today. So where does turning back the hand of time do for us? bandOFhorses: Wrong. History is needed to carve the future. Our forefathers screwed us bad. No plan. No vision. Nada. I remember my dad telling his salary was 75 naira. How he just spends less than 30 naira for feeding for the month! Where compare that to now. You will see how screwed up we are |

We are saying the same thing naa. Your parents earned cumulatively N4000 in a year and bought their beetle for N1600 cash. The passport pix posted showed someone purchasing dollar equivalent of N800... which means the person must have saved for a long time to get that N800. At N2100 a year means your dad was earning N175 per month (definitely not on minimum wage) how many people earned that back then? It would take that person close to 7-8 months to save up N800 except s/he earned more than N175 a month. I don't doubt things were cheaper then but for how many people? A beetle may have cost N1600 then how many people could afford it? That's my point SIRTee15: My parents bought their brand new beetle for 1600 naira in 1979.... He was earning roughly 2100 per year, while my mum earned roughly the same as a nurse.... Household income was over 4000 naira and they paid cash for the car.... Cost of living must have been cheap for them to save enough conveniently.... How many middle class family can pull such stunt now....
Your moniker suggest u grew up in the 80s.... Pls just ask the grown ups in the 70s and 80s.... Life was much better and convenient.... No comparison at all.... |

I'm not saying the past leaders did not fail us, they did woefully. Starting with Gowon. He could've done much more but was confused what to do with the money By the time they realized, it was all too late. Sweeetheart: nonsense theory. this doesn't mean the past leaders and citizens then did not failed us
Nigeria discovered oil in 1956, Dubai discovered theirs in 1966 but look at Dubai today and look at Nigeria. I'm not even talking about human development here, I'm talking about physical development

Very few people could afford to buy a brand new Peugeot car then, if your dad bought his after a few months of working, it must have been through a car loan workers were availed to then. Things were not all that cheap because many people struggled but I agree with you the coins were in use then. Newspapers were 15kobo, a bottle of coke was less than 30kobo I could go on and on but it wasn't easy for people then. SIRTee15: It's not about salary or minimum wage.... Its the purchasing power that matters.... In tho 70s, things were cheap and the little salary can actually go a long way.... U could buy basic food stuffs with coins and few naira....
My Dad bought his first car in 1979, just few months after he started working as a teacher...... And he paid cash for it..... I doubt a new oil and gas worker can pull such stunt now....
Inflation and naira depreciation over the years, has led to constant rise in cost of living without a commensurate rise in wages.... That's what our parents complained about....
The truth is working n middle class had it better then than now.... |

I agree with you but in recalling the past, know also that it wasn't easy then. How much was the minimum wage back then? A brand new Peugeot 504 salon was like N7500. 505 Peugeot when it was first released to the market was N21000 but it could only be afforded by companies and millionaires then. So don't think if the hands of time were to go back, we will find it easy.... Naaaah ajl: I don't agree with your comment that the past should be ignored. No successful nation ignored its past. Without appreciation of the events of the past, people are bound to make the same mistakes as before. It's this way of reasoning that make Nigeria govt removed history from school curriculum. These days we have people who do not know their left from their right. Please implants stories of the past in the hearts of your children but let them know that they are not to dwell in the past but to use knowledge of the past to shape their future.

Vex go buy your own cow or goat, slaughter and cook your own soup with it so you can serve your usual 3 pieces per meal Akinsoladwayne: Hi everyone! So I was at my brother's house yesterday and could you believe his wife cooked rice for me and served me with a meat I mean just a meat.
This is the person that knows how choosy I could be when it comes to eating.
I'd recall vividly before my brother married her, then when I visit my brother at his place I do the cooking and the least meat/fish I'd always dish my food with could be two or three. But I have been wondering how on earth would she serve me her in-law with just a meat. This is an insult of the highest order, like I'm gonna need to call my brother's attention to it.
Well at the end of the day I had no choice than to eat the food like that with the one meat she served me. The food self no sweet.
If you like bant me, it's none of my fuvking business. |
