All my three brand new phones - Nokia N70, Sony Ericsson K750 were all bought from Ikeda Computer Village albeit renown stores like i-Cell and Sims back then no dulling.

Read through the various posts on this dear for in depth reviews. Above all however, if your friend is not a techy, please avoid the Hot 2 cos he or she must be ready to tweak and install apps on it to suit their needs.

Most Nigerians (tech savvy ones o!) are all now tending more towards mobile data than more voice for all their communication needs including voice calls itself through the various VOIP apps available.

4G LTE which supposedly is the fastest in the broadband spectrum, has both Swift, Smile and Spectranet Networks as their pioneers in Nigeria. With the 4G LTE Sim card adapted on the 4G mobile phones, it solves if not all, the mobile broadband needs for the tech savvy guy or babe out there.

Lets not even start here! This phone was the reason of my first experience with being scammed online Finally got it ...loved it because of the clicking screen which ended going bad and needing a replacement. The replacement screen itself went bad and I just retired the phone. It however gave me a break in customizing ROMs though I've not tried same with Android but geeeeeeee! It tot me never to embrace technology with too much gusto

The issue is not with the phone's hardware or spec issue but rather the failure on the part of Infinix and Jumia in educating would-be users on what Android One OS on the phone is all about.

I had the same issue until I got enlightened. The Android One OS concept was Google's own way of saying 'why root a phone to remove the bloat wares when you can have one free of bloat wares and also apps that users have alternatives for'.

This many people did not understand and when they can't find apps as comon as the File Manager, they start seeing the phone as inferior.

I now have another phone running Android 5.1 but it's not in any way different from the Android One but it comes with a file manager though.

Another issue identified is with the users craving for a Ferrari in a Kia Rio agreed they all have 4 tires and injector engines BUT one is more fine tuned using premium quality raw materials to arrive at a finished product. Liken same to the mobile phones, Samsung uses processor chips etc such as Qualcomm and Snapdragon but still run on 1GB RAM while Hot2 runs on MTK but 2GB RAM.

In the case of Samsung, the processor compensates for the low RAM while on the Hot2, the RAM tries to complement the processor. I've seen this happen on laptops. Windows XP will not install on a Pentium One desktop with 1GB RAM but will install on a Pentium Two with 1GB RAM.

Nice one but hope say the people faking it nor go upgrade to copper plating their fake products to make it look real?

Screen is HD and very clear not blurry as someone said of Infinix Hot2. It's also not of gorilla glass lineage hence the need for the tempered glass protector.

I'm not a good gamer but I've tried playing 3D tennis on this phone without issues as well as watched live TV streams (CNN, ESPN etc) without issues.

Sim 1 and 2 are na no type with both running 3G. Not been able to test the 4G yet.

The phone also supports Micro SD card up to 32gb. The only snag here like most new phones, you have to sacrifice the second Sim slot to accommodate the SD Card.

Yes an update was released by manufacturer which allowed users to revert back to capacitance navigation buttons (activates buttons on the phone's chassis) instead of the on screen display thereby increasing the available display area.

This act in itself was as a result from requests from several users which goes on to display the manufacturer's responsiveness to feedback.

The updates were downloaded and installed via the accompanying proprietary management software RootJoy made specially for phone's use. It runs on Windows platform. You also use other tools available to manage MTK devices.

You are presented with available and compatible stock and custom Roms by the tool.

Last but not the least, phone comes rooted using Super so no need to bother but flashing root roms.

Yes the phone was delivered in good condition except that I never knew there was a tempered glass inserted NOT in the phone pack itself but outside it and in the protective carton it was much later that I saw it and it was cracked across the bottom part . I'll get in touch through Whatsapp as requested.

Go to their website and download a new ROM which fixed most of the issues you outlined.

True! I got about 33020 AnTuTu rating for my UMI Iron device way below Xiaomi devices but still love its responsiveness and sleeky look

I use original Galaxy Note 3 which I rooted with kingoroot and it's working perfectly.
I agree that Samsung doesn't use MTK but beg to disagree that you can't root Samsung phones with kingoroot.
