Foundation footing casting ongoing. The depth of the foundation excavation is 18" deep and the land slopes slightly in two directions so the foundation will be stepped accordingly. The thickness of the foundation footing is 4inches but to ensure a leveled and plumb surface for the foundation blockwork, it varies a bit but just slightly.

|
Internal and external plastering of one wing of the terrace concluded. We will be starting with the plastering of the other wing. The roofing has also been concluded and we used long span aluminium roof sheet. The other wing roof cladding will be done also.

danowena:Yes its preferably better to install the casement window after plastering for a neater job but you will need to install subframes which is an additional cost and not for cost watching clients. Moreover, if there is a minute margin of error between the subframe and the casement window, it creates more work. In the long run, the method you choose is based on several factors like neatness, skillfulness of the window fabricator, cost and the mason skills. |
slimtik:Thank you sir for the kind words and taking your time to go through our post from start to finish. We didn't really face much constraints in terms of finances as the building carcass was delivered in 6 months but the finishing took time as we and the client delibrated a lot on the finishing materials and decision making took more time. We constructed within the projected cost and one of the unit is sold already, we just have 2 units left. Yes we can handle your projects anywhere in Nigeria (apart from Boko boys place) and we will look forward to working with you on your project in PH. Check your mail sir, Thanks. |
smiley001:@Tunji, you owe me a truck of 20tons granite...lols. Thanks for your nice word always. |
brag3:@brag3, I live with this always at the back of my mind, its more like my work mantra "Owo ma tan, Ola ma tan...Eyan lo maku" meaning the money will come and go, the wealth will come and go, what we are left with is our INTEGRITY! |
twinskenny:@twinskenny, thank you sir for the words of encouragement. One LOVE! |
mufutau55:Hajj M, the ball is in your court oh. Am ever ready to do your bidding and work with you. Thank you sir for the whole nine yard. |
brag3:Project is located on Anjorin street off Cole street off Ogunlana drive Surulere, will look forward to meeting you. |
sgtkole:Thank you for the compliments and good words, we strive to excel at what we know how to do best. You can reach me on seyisodiya@gmail.com and whatsapp - 08188569130, I look to working with you on your project. |

Plastering is also ongoing and the kitchen building is done for now.
|
Windows have been fixed and correction is ongoing for the ones that are not aligned properly. Even with the claims of using plumb, most artisan are not as detailed as I will like hence I have to make some alterations.
|
Mayor78:Like u said, project is just too big for the kind of method we employed. I actually spoke with Lafarge for their *Readymix* product but they don't deliver to Ogbomosho for now as they do not have any Readymix depot that is within the 2 hours road trip distance specified for their product. Thanks for the input. |
We were able to achieve 500 sq.m on DAY1, we started with 3 mixing machines but one broke down and we finished the casting with 2 mixers. From the experience of day1, we were able to restrategized and mapped out new procedures on DAY2 and we were able to achieve 700 sq.m meaning we are halfway there.
|
Casting of the german floor of the marquee started on Tuesday 23rd January and it will probably span over 4 days or less. We have a total area of 2400 sq.m to cast excluding the entrance terrace and stairs. We are goin to be using 3nos mixing machines and a team of 45 people.
|
Hardcore filling of the marquee floor in readiness for the german floor casting.
