The job in question, I haven't submitted a quotation before I asked for the phone number of the alumaco guy. I told your friend the exact reason I wanted to speak with him. If I had sinister motives, I wouldn't have done that before getting the money. My experience has thought me better.

Seriously I don't know what you have heard and how the person that told you interpreted it for you but I just wish you will respond to me privately and I will show you everything including the VN of my discussion with your friend and the alumaco guy and you can judge me.

I did a job for a Nairalander Ty01 which I supplied last week. It's window burglaries. The measurements I was given was 4ft by 4ft and I went ahead to deduct 1" from it yet when he received it,it didn't fit at all. The engineer said "I should have known better". At the end of the day, the welder gets blamed because we're the least educated. From the pictures he sent me, I was supposed to deduct at least 4" from the windows but just imagine if I did that and the burglaries were too small. I will still be blamed for cheating the client. Now they will need to amend the burglaries to fit. However, there's no room for amendment in the job I was discussing with your friend.

In my line of work, there's no established rules to follow. Everyone works "as the spirit leads". So it's important that everyone works in unison to avoid errors.

Your questions are funny but honestly speaking, I've been expecting these questions from the house cos the foundation is not too deep no columns and pillars to hold the long walls.So here's the answers
✓The first step after pegging and digging of the foundation is blinding.
✓Secondly,the inches of the blinding depends on the levels of the land.(I can't say more than that).
✓The top land is loamy soil while beneath it is Clay soil.more important, I never see a crack house ever since I've been working here so I conclude the land is good.

It's not a funny question because it looks like there's no blinding and that's why I asked.
Moreso some people will do screeding and still call it blinding.
Be it you use columns or not the house will not fall as long as your block wall locks are in order.


Inches of blinding don't depend on land level because it's expecting you have a single profile and run it. If a proper excavation is done then it will be in order. In instances where there are uneven excavation level there are other ways to go about achieving the work.

The total size of the land is approx. 970.43sqmts ( Based on your Engr measurements)

Since the advent of these integrated burglaries, aluminum guys do make more monies and they do all they can to oust a welder from site.

Michlins was right to say it's an error in communication.

I guess the word "modification" is misinterpreted.

All he needed was the measurement of the window fabricator and he will align his own welded burglary to conform to the size making it more precise. I guess this was done based on the type of burglary to be welded and fixed.


Professionally not looking at design plans this is way better. Otherwise every artisan works his measurements and come and fix and tell the client na the measurement of the window I use as agreed. Then when the time for dressing window come the maosn man finds who to blame when the client complains of improper size not aligned.

This had nothing to do with the foregoing though but it's possible to reduce window sizes while construction is still ongoing.

I once did a project and myself and the client couldnt reach conclusion on some changes made along the line in the project. For example, a room was converted into a kitchen. My windows were 1.6m high, so I told him we have to reduce some windows to reflect the new modifications. You cant use 1.6m window in the kitchen. We couldnt agree on toilet window height and sizes so I left the whole space wide.

Unfortunately, the project went on a very long break. The client went ahead to commission one of old paddy to do the window burglary and he did exactly the measurements he got on the project without contacting me. When I supplied the aluminum windows which were made on site, they were done to engineers specification.
This caused a big rift between the aluminum window guy and the welder who claimed the aluminum guy wanted to defraud the client and I asked him "Can a toilet window be this big?"

In like manner, I once did a project for a client here who wanted 'large windows.' When we got the bill for the windows, N11,000,000:00 for windows alone as at 2015, he requested that we reduce and even block off some of the windows.

I can only imagine the biggyness of the window.

Can the plot space (42X100 ft) accommodate two units of 2 bedroom flats on the ground floor and 2 units of 3 bedroom flats on the top floor?
Though I'm not sure if there will be enough space left for 4 cars
I'm thinking the slab can be made wider than the ground floor space, so it can contain two units of 3 bedroom flats

DPA is at the point of handling a case for some persons who were wrongly accused and imprisoned for about 15 years now because the accuser is a big boy. Men who are currently in their mid 40's are now looking like men who have neared 70 years.

So tell us your exact gross with the man you are accusing and stop beating around the bush.

I am in this dilemma presently.
Had a plot 50ft X 100ft. Was contemplating a block of flats on it. Then a boundary issue developed around where the land is, and adjustments had to be made to satisfy all plot owners and resolve an issue that warranted some breaking of heads and arms

Finally, my plot got reduced to 42ft X 100ft.
Now I'm not sure what to do with it anymore.

You're certainly not in a dilemma.
Just say what you wanted to build on the plot and you'll be advised appropriately.

I don't think we should embark on a naming and shaming ping pong. Two wrongs don't make a right. It is now very clear what happened. There is enough information about the incident online from start to finish. So any prospective client researching both parties for patronage or otherwise would have all the information to make a constructive decision. I don't think the contractor's reputation will be tarnished in any meaningful way by this singular incident. The incident was well trashed with depth by so well-meaning forum members and a manifest judgement has been reached - No fraud was evidenced, so let's move on.

Not everyone reads an article from top to bottom. Once someone reads to the point of fraud and fraudulent...............he stops reading. He may try to find out more and if he sees another fraud statement about the person, then the prospective client finds an alternative.

When asked if he has confirmed the job has been completed, the client (Cribking1) said and I quote “I'm yet to confirm it.”
In his own word, he also said that @mountmoriah said “He was telling me the installers needed to stay for 2 additional nights that I should send 8K for hotel lodge.”

I tried to confirm this from mountmoriah and he told me that was a message sent before they started the installation. I guess the client must have read it at a later time.

I sent the pictures of the building and showing the job done to the client and he said “He never sent me all these.”
I replied The building is yours. You could have just check in to see the job since you’re there in Ibadan.

He promised to visit the site today and we patiently await his feedback.

This is one the reasons I said some clients like to play god. It's quite easy to shout someone is fraudulent but now that it's all sorted out he is telling the one assisting in sorting out the issue that he never sent you......



So why in the first instance did you come here to cry fraud.....

I would have loved to answer this and share my experience and journey into and out of the Christian faith. In fact I was going to share my former acct/moniker with you from when I was a completely devout Christian. When I was preaching and evangelising even here on NL.
Until I couldn't help but find the contradictions in the Bible which could not be explained away except if I wanted to blindly defend the Bible. How can God's word contradict itself? Then I met various factions of Christian doctrines with each one truly laying claim on God's word even when they were directly opposing each other.
There are the Hyper Grace Christians, there are the SU Christians and there are those in the neutral grounds. I started to question my theology.lol

But I had a rethink about sharing it cos it could affect the faith of some others. That a devout Christian can actually still fall away.

My intention has never been to jeopardise people's faith. I respect Faith. Be it religious faith, motivational speeches faith, self belief faith, etc.
I think faith is truly the most important thing. Which ithe Bible also confirms that it is our Faith that conquers the world.

I've met non-reloigous and religious people who excel in their fields by sheer faith either in themselves or their God respectively.

It would be good if you share your experience of how you got out of faith or being a devout christian.....it may help alot of people.

Alot of people came to acknowledge and accept Christ through certain occurrences and for various reasons best known to them.

Many a times most believers do not go through an appropriate discipleship process because it's somewhat absent in our local churches and also many do not take time to read,study and meditate on the WORD in the Holy Bible.

The best discipleship process is by continuous studying and meditating on the Scriptures.

We need to encourage ourselves by ourselves many a times.
There are certain challenges as believers we go through, it's just moments of tests and trials. Temptation will also come too. Our ability to overcome is what makes us overcomers.

Because this is an online forum I'll not write out certain things.

But I'll never doubt the Scripture or say it contradicts itself. I do not need to have a full knowlegde or understanding of the Scripture to be assured and reassured that Jesus Christ is my saviour and deliverer and that the Most High is our Heavenly Father who aids us in all things.


There was a period I studied the Holy Bible and my understanding grew easily and I could call to remembrance many things. There was another period I studied and I felt completely empty for months and it got me confusing. During this period I could not even pray. The best I could do was to sing praise and worship songs to God and try to meditate on the Word as best as I could do. It was a confused and frustrating period and I couldn't get my thoughts in check. I thought I had blasphemed and I was asking God for forgiveness. But the emptiness persisted and there was something I wanted to do the next day and by night while I slept in a somewhat trance like, I heard a voice saying "there's only one God and Jesus is the Light.

After I heard that word the emptiness was gone.


There are many other challengees and experience that I can't say online as I said previously. But God through His Son Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit have always made Himself known to me from the most simple things around me to the complex things that keeps me in awe.

I want to thank everyone who has helped in solving this issue. Special thanks to Kobocity for his swift response and professionalism . Mountmoriah has delivered the roofing materials and installers are currently installing them. I was very nervous because of my previous Fraud experience on this platform. Also, the gap of communication he created exacerbated the whole situation. Sure, there was sinister motive behind his silence but thank God I acted fast. My advice to anyone dealing with contractors on this platform or anywhere else is to be on your toes....

So sorry to hear your unfortunate situation. This is the same guy that used to go by hsl-broker here. He stole from me and thought he could hide from me. I made him vomit my money with interest and got him kicked off nairaland. He never learned from the past. I told him that i would make sure that he won't find another victim here again. Update: We just spoke again. He’s on Iwo road and ive asked him to share his location with me on Whatsapp to monitor/track their movement.
He said your goods will be delivered tonight and installation will commence early in the morning.

He told me he has issues with the truck that convey the roofing sheets and had to recover some funds back from them.

Is there some form of penalty if this case is not one of fraud as been claimed by the client?
