. Are you operating in the same level of wisdom, love, power, faith (fearlessness) of the Holyspirit as the Peter or Paul? As Stephen or Philiip? As Apollo or Barnabas? Even as the ordinary brother Ananias through who God healed Paul's blindness?

The Bible speaks of spiritual gifts which was manifest and all could distinguish the Christians because of the Grace of God working in them and through them.

You've been "ministering" on NL for some time now , what testimony can you share concerning the lives you have touched either through spirit-led generosity or healed someone's infirmity?

Have you left your family behind to take up missionary work in another state or even country?

I double as a Sunday School Teacher/Instructor and House Fellowship leader.

Can you share any of your practical experiences that confirm your Christianity is in the likeness of that which was written and documented in the Bible? That was my question of this thread.

People come here with plans for scrutiny, boq and estimates for advice, etc. Maybe people have successfully built their house on this thread without paying a dime to any site manager, purely supervising their project from start to finish.

something is happening on this thread that if care is not taken, will lead to something nasty later in future. This same thing happened on the agric thread sometime ago, the guys name was emmachile. Emmachile was like the most resourceful person on the whole agric section, he mentored and helped a whole lots of agric enthusiasts on that section, one day someone came up with a fraud claim, and emmachile was tagged to be a scammer. His named was soiled and man deleted his username and left nairaland. Thousands of pages of information on poultry farming was immediately deleted. After everything, emmachile was vindicated,he was not a scammer and it was just a stupid mistake from the accuser. But all those pages were gone. I have searched and search on his organic poultry with no success.
Same thing is happening to nxt and some other guys here. If someone scammed you, bring proofs and and give detailed explanation on how it happened here for everybody to see and judge, don't just be behind your phone and be labeling people both directly and indirectly as scammers. These might just be minor misunderstanding that can be corrected. no one on here will deny the fact that next had hhelped answered loads of questions on this thread. If you are cheated bring proofs. Spoiling peoples business is not it.

Its not how many times one reads the Scripture that matters but what the individual gains from reading it. How is your understanding after each reading? The Scripture is not necessarily for cramming and quoting.


You will only see the inconsistencies in the Bible if you ever study it from a non-religious perspective
Those who find inconsistencies in the Scripture are seeing it because they made their minds to see it. The Scripture is not a literature book and everything written is not exactly for literal purposes.

As in response to your last paragraph, I believe the challenge lies in some portions of the gospel through Paul. Some believe once confession is made and they're converted, God doesn't necessary require any acts of righteousness. In fact any attempt at righteousness by works is subject to returning to the curses of the law.

Yet like I always say, if Christians will only live and act like Christians just for 4 years, the world would definitely be a better place.

The missionaries took their Christianity seriously and even Nigeria benefitted from it.

There are several conspiracy theories that have shared better predictions on Covid -19. Even some pastors like Oyakhilome are teaching such conspiracies.

I asked if God revealed it to you. I asked because it is a major phenomenon that shook the whole world. Yet it wasn't revealed to God's special children? Some of whom have now met their untimely death in the hands of Covid?

The bible tells us in so many instances whenever such plagues would happen, God reveals it to his prophets/friends and even gives them the chance to plead on behalf of the people in order to avert it.

I'm just wondering why this isn't the case in a generation that boasts of walking in the prophetic, dining with Jesus, etc.

So I was in a tete a tete with this Jehovah witness guy.

Let me state that , JWs teach that Our Lord Jesus Christ is an angel. They claim Jesus is angel Michael. To them, Jesus is not God as the Bible teaches (John 1:1) but rather a god.

So in the course of our interactions, he stated:

Jesus Christ is Now a High Priest in Heaven, just like in the past, Humans (Priests) mediated between man and God so is Jesus doing now in heaven. I loved his explanation because what he stated was very much correct.

Then I asked him: " You say Jesus is a high priest, just like the priests of old, but I know that , the priests of old offered animal sacrifices to God; so in Jesus' case, which animal is He offering to God in Heaven?"

According to him, that would not make sense. So I asked him if a high priest doubling as the sacrifice made sense to him

I have been a Christian but this was not my reality. Which made me question the bible.

Revelations 12:17

So the child born to the woman is God's earthly part of his Organization known today as JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES Organization!

What someone should avoid is just believing something because people are believing it or because we interpret it from the bible.

Such interpretation could be wrong.

A lot of pastors had analysed the bible and came to the conclusion on when Christ would come,but the time passed and Christ did not come.

Someone can see a thing or word from the bible and use it to generalize everything.

But it does not work like that.

You need God to interprete every thing or every word of the bible to show where it applies and where history would repeat itself.

If your desire is that at death,people cease to exist,you will like that solomon statement about the dead not knowing anything.

It is because you are so desparate to have it your own way,that is why you would clinge unto that solomon statement.

There is another one about lazarus in Abraham's bosom and the rich man in hell.

How do we now reconcile the 2 positions.

Since you have accepted solomon statement about death,you will do everything to deny the reality of the rich man being in hell.

But like i said earlier,God created the world in such a way that 2 opposing realities coexist since He is the God of diversity.

That is why Solomon view of death and the story of lazarus and the rich man exist side by side.

It was just an assumption without any proof.

The point is how true was that assumption?

As far as we are human beings,we cannot just know everything and conclude everything even if you are the pope or bishop of the world.

So the assumption now becomes the belief that we have today that if you see someone who died, you have seen a demon.

If you read something about prophesies in all religions of the world, you would discover that human beings made a lot of false assumption and have unfulfilled expectations as far as all religions are concerned.

If there is so much unfulfilled expectations and false assumptions, what makes you think that the belief in ghosts being demons is not false?

The point is that the belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God who died for us is the truth that must be accepted.



But so many assumptions and twisting of the Bible to justify our assumptions may not be true.

If Solomon wrote in the Bible that the dead does not know anything,it was his personal understanding which may not be necessarily true in our own time.

What if the dead people are still alive somewhere thanks to the coming of Jesus Christ who abolished death.

We cannot use one instance in the Bible to conclude everything.

God is a God of diversity

He didn't permit the dead rich man to send Lazarus back to his people to warn them of hell.

There could be another instance which He can permit such to happen because He is a God of diversity.

There is nothing you think of that is not happening in this world because God is a God of diversity and makes sure everything you can think of is already happening.

MORNING ALL - I'm reading a few post from n3xt/brabus and few others - and I feel (without disrespect) a lot of CONTRACTORS don't have adequate knowledge about how contracts are run - IF you've worked with the biggest consultants in the industry you would understand what I'm about to type.

AGAIN WITHOUT DISRESPECT....

1. Even if the client allows you to buy and install whatever (door, showers, even BULB as simple as that is) - An experienced contractor/builder/consultant should know that there is something called CLIENT'S APPROVAL. This means, before I pay for THAT N500 bulb, I need a written approval within 7 days (or official email) confirming that the product is OK. This MUST be gotten before payment - and once delivered IF client's wife (or whoever) don't like it - you just bring out the approval and all related cost (return, re-purchasing, logistic etc) is 100% on them. NOTE, A VERBAL APPROVAL IS NO APPROVAL IF NOT PUT IN WRITING WITHIN 7 DAYS; so Oga was at the store with me and he said BUY IT is not an approval...... that's what a lot of you hold on to.

2. IF Mr A contracts me to build his DOG'S HOUSE and along the line, I'm unable to complete the work - BECAUSE OF UNFORSEEN events, as a contractor - you do NOT assume, since its not your fault that his work was abandoned you do not owe him... SIR, YOU OWE HIM - The deal was to build a dog house, not an in-complete dog house (even if it was client's wife that stopped the work because she suddenly hates dog and want's a cat). WHAT A SINCERE CONTRACTOR should do is.... PRESENT A FINAL ACCOUNT. Stating clearly HOW MUCH WAS GOTTEN, HOW MUCH WAS SPENT AND HOW MUCH WAS LOST AS A RESULT OF DE-MOBILIZING FROM SITE - then agree with the client on who owes who.... NOTE: Even if the client was owing you at the time the decision was made; you DON'T assume because I lost, no need - YOU DO WHAT PROFESSIONALS DO - A final account, it is then you can hold you heads high and say - I DO NOT OWE YOU.

I'LL STOP HERE FOR NOW - MAYBE I'LL WRITE A FEW ARTICLES ON (real life) CASE STUDIES FROM VARIOUS SITE....

In 2013, a client raised an allegation against Brabus that he defrauded him and went ahead to report the case in Special Fraud Unit, Panti, Lagos.

I was invited and like I always do, I went there confidently.

To the rudest shock of the complainant, he thought they would have killed me before he got there but lo I was found waiting for him to arrive and state exactly what happened.

Not all officers are useless. There are very intelligent people in the force and I give it to them.

They asked me “You we’re given money to do some job and you didn’t do it. You just ate the money.”

I smiled and replied “Sir, houses do not start with windows and neither do houses get built in 5 days. I was given money (in tranches) to build a house and I built it over 5 months. We only had issues with delivery of some items which were supplied by subcontractors. If he had brought in those things himself and there was an issue, will he have called it fraud?”

The officer turned to my client and asked “Sir, where’s the fraud part?”

He said “I gave him money for windows and it wasn’t complete. It remain 2.”

The officer replied “That wasn’t fraud na. If you have him money to build a house for you in Port Harcourt and you found the house in Abeokuta, we will quickly get into action because that’s fraud. But here’s a man who stayed in your family house in your hometown for 5 months to build you a house and you’re talking about 2 windows.”
The officer turned to me and asked “When can you bring the remaining windows?”

I told him “They were large windows that has to be fabricated on site. But the issue is, the client is in a rush.”

My client left in annoyance. I stood up and wanted to leave in annoyance too.

Police said “Oga you can’t go o. Is this how rich people behave? .” That was how I and Inspector Alex became friends and Oga refused to come back.

Case closed. No charge. Nothing.

But on nairaland brabus don kill his client o - bla, blah.
