The thing is some people will fake the change so as so to satisfy the other person.

There was a story I heard about a lady and a guy, the lady is a good Christian and the guy started going to church because of her, he told her that we are serving the same God that he converted to Christian and they dated for 3 years before they got married. In fact, the guy became dipper even more than the lady.

But unfortunately, the second day of the marriage, the guy brought out his praying kettle and told the lady that, for good 3 years I have served your God, now it is time for you to serve my own God too. He said that he must not see her in church never again.

He deceived her that he's changed but after he got what he wanted, he showed his through colour.

This world is full of deceit, if you know someone deeply just hold on to the person, don't go and be looking for trouble.

Recently, the increase in armed robberies and banditry has become a disturbing trend in Nigeria. It is even more horrendous when the men of the underworld not only steal when they attack but will also rape any unfortunate female caught in the invasion.

My wife and I were watching a real life crime documentary one evening and in the documentary, a lady was shot and killed after resisting rape advances from 6 men who invaded her residence.

Fortunately, the criminals were later caught using forensic evidence and paraded by law enforcement. These men were tough looking strongly built men who no doubts would have torn the lady apart if they had succeeded in raping her.

However, the shocker was when my wife of 4 years said, and I quote “she just died for nothing and has caused her family a lot of grief...if it were me, I would just let them have their way and live to see another day”.

Although this sounded very right, it also sounded very wrong at the same time and has since been messing with my head as I cannot get the picture out of my mind. We could both see that they were 6 hefty men and yet she felt she should have................

Ladies, am I over reacting and men, what do you think? How can something feel so right and so wrong simultaneously?

You see where you got it wrong. I said christians missed the link by exchanging the glory of the immortal for created stories. And what's wrong or strange about believing in an immortal invisible God. It is even more realistic than a part of God(immortal) becoming dead(mortal)

Many cultures believed in the almighty invisible(more realistic) even before religion was brought to them.

In Nigeria, once you take up a supervisory role on any construction project (even if it’s a septic tank) and you’re the making all the decisions and payments and all sorts - you’ve automatically become an engineer.

If you now manage to put one construction hardhat at the back of your car, you’re a big engineer.

If you manage to drive any truck you’re ALL in all.

The question to ask is “What do Engineers really do?

Setting the stage, picking the best players and watching out for things that can undermine result is not an Engineers job. I think a PM perfectly fit that description but a lot of things no longer surprise me in Nigeria.
Fortunately we have a course in that field - Construction Project Management.

Anybody can also answer a PM just same way they answer Engineer.

As regards CPM.....what do they teach them in the Nigerian institutions especially those who take it as first degree course?


Out of boredom I went back to school to do PM(MBA). I wanted to see how different it is to the short duration program of P2/PMP.

I saw people who had done PM as first degree coming back to do same as B.Sc. I asked them apart from getting the certificate what is the difference in the course outline between both degrees?



Buying granite and cement is not what engineers do Any Baba Lati with many years of experience in construction can do that.

How can you send him on an errand when you can make him a foreman in the site.

I did a project sometimes ago, we engaged Certified Professionals as Consultant Engineers and they only show up at every critical stage of work to cross the t’s and dot the i’s.

But this is a logical standard;

Jesus response here teaches us that in whatever we do we should give complete reverance to His Father. None other takes the Fathers' glory.
The Father only gives His glory to those He chooses fit.


In day to day activities. Those commandments.. shape the society well. So you can actually view an eternal life(if there is anything like that) by test running the commandments here on Earth.~ "near logical"

That Bible passage wasn't talking about the resurrection. Immediately Jesus let up his breath and expired, an earthquake occurred to prove that the man whom they had just murdered had divine backing. Matthew 27:54
The earthquake was so powerful that it tore through the crags of the burial sites/tombs and so passers-by saw that the earthquake revealed the newly buried corpses and when they entered into Jerusalem, they reported what they saw to others.
If it was really resurrection that occurred, then the other Gospels should have also noted it but no, resurrection was something to occur in the future. 1Thessalonians 4:16, Revelation 20:12





The Jewish criminal by the side of Jesus must have heard upbuilding reports about the man(Jesus) who was impaled next to him so since he observed the Jews clamouring for the death of such a righteous man, he knew that genuine prophets of God had faced a similar fate. Matthew 23:35, Mark 6:4

That spurred him to put faith in Jesus and he made a request to Jesus to remember him in his Kingdom but Jesus corrected the notion he had and promised that he would be favourably remembered and resurrected on Paradise earth.
So Jesus didn't hold out the same promise to this man that he had made to his disciples earlier about being kings and judges in God's Kingdom. Matthew 19:28, Luke 12:32, John 14:1-3

Why do we say so?

About 3years earlier, when Jesus met with Nicodemus, he explained that one must first be born-again i.e. baptized in water and[b] chosen by holy spirit as an adopted son of God[/b] before such a person can rule in God's Kingdom. John 3:3-6

I guess you are referring to the existing convenant He promised man that He will bring to fulfillment in his life as long as he remains faithful.

The man at his side hadn't gone through any of these processes so he's not qualified for heavenly life, rather he'll be resurrected in the future as an unrighteous person alongside billions of other humans. Acts 24:15, Revelation 20:12

@John chapter 8, Jesus Christ and the Pharisees were having a little feud over who really was doing the will of God(John 8:41)
Now why would they be having this discussion if Jesus was already God?
Jesus said those words to prove that he had existed before Abraham, not that he was God. John 8:58, Revelation 3:14
After all, angel Gabriel and the rest of the angels in heaven will also say the same thing that they existed before Abraham and they would be correct because they were present when the earth was being created. Job 38:7



The Scriptures give quite a number of definitions to the meaning of “heavens”. Genesis 1:8, Deuteronomy 26:15, Ephesians 6:12

Eccl.3.21 - Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?


None of them are qualified for heavenly life so they will remain in the dust until the day of resurrection. Acts 24:15


Matt.27.52 - and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
Matt.27.53 - and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

In the above where did the raised bodies of the saints go?

After all, Isaiah 26:19 said that those who will be resurrected in the future in earth are “residents in the dust” or those who “dwell in the dust” would be resurrected. Compare John 5:28,29
