They inject over 1-2 million fake notes for the day for a large branch that handles over 50 million in daily withdrawal. calculate 1 - 2 million fake notes for a day, x 27 days and x 12 months, = 325,000,000 - 650,000, 000 for yr. They share it among all staff. That's why you see so-called hungry bankers on under 300k salary building a 30 million house, finished in one yr. Criminals in suit I tell you!

This fake notes syndrome done by bankers goes back to when most of us were in nursery school. So anyone still doing is taking the light train.

There are more ways bankers make money and they do that with your money without your knowledge.

It's all about being smart, sharp and calculative. It's a network of things.

There was a bank cashier I experienced who overpaid a customer.The customer prompted noticed and returned the extra cash of 9000 naira with the cashier being quite apologetic. It wasn't suspicious to me until he overpaid me too.I started imagining him overpaying every customer on that queue and what will happen to the bank.Was it sabotage or part of a plan to test the bank's system to steal its money?I still see the cashier in that bank though and I'm very wary of him.

I'll give an explanation of both. But use google/dictionary and read the scriptures to get its meaning as used in each verse.

Grace can be likened to one being rest assured of getting a favourable outcome no matter the odds .

Mercy can be likened to someone being at the beck and call of another.

Faith and hope. Though both compliment each other but you have to read the verses from the scriptures to get its individual meaning.

Faith is having a strong/firm belief/conviction about the positive occurrence/outcome of something present or future .
Hope is a wish about anything to occur. Hope is not based on one's belief. It's completely probability based.

There's actually nothing one can do about differential settlement other than building your structure the right way.
Yes, there are short cuts but know where to apply them, where not to and when you have to if it's necessary.

As a general rule for me irrespective of soil type if any site i'm handling is along a road that may get heavy traffic, I use the standard 6" blinding and my own mix ratio.

I do a 4" if it's off entirely.

Cracks on walls are generally caused by lateral displacement/differential settlement .
It's also caused by the nature of your blocks as against mortar type used.
Always make sure you do a proper blinding with the right concrete mix and thickness and ensure its firm before setting blocks on it.
Cracks can appear on any section of a wall.

Lintel chaining or linking has nothing to do with mitigating walls from cracking.

I have seen a chained lintel cracked from top to bottom completely.
I have seen a wall with ground/grade beam /raft with crack as well.
I have seen a fence wall built on raft with cracks too.

All cracks appearing on both sides of wall from top to bottom , just crack it open enough to introduce columns/pillars on those positions.

Any crack appearing on any single side, just crack that particular side open get Y12 do a criss cross of it and get a rich mix of mortar and throw on it as if you're plastering the wall. Only a good mason understands this.

Where your cracks appear at the edge of 2 walls (90°), you either introduce a column/ pillar or you do a proper bond. Ensure the blocks at the edges are interlocked on each course.

It's actually my personal house and I'm living there with a tenant. I was advised when the cracks were noticed to allow the building to settle down hence the delay. But now the cracks are getting wider.

Only one of the cracks is from bottom others are not. Yes they appear on both side of the wall.

You'll just need a good mason to do it.

Dear all, I'm a silent reader here. Please I have a little challenge with my building and need some expert advice.

The challenge is that my residential building has serious cracks on the wall due to poor job execution from the builder. The cracks even affected the POP. Pictures are attached.
 The walls may fall down very soon if repairs are not carried out

I need advice on how to fixed this. Expert that can undertake to fix this should indicate. The property is in Benin City.

Not all the pix are entirely clear from my end but just a few questions for you;
-Are the cracks running from top to bottom of the walls?
-Do they all appear on both sides of the walls(internal/external of each wall)?

Before you listen to an elder who implores you not to vote in someone or vote out someone, you should in turn ask him what is his contribution in the place he occupies?

We should instead use this 2019 to vote out irresponsible politicians especially from the senate house and national assembly.

1. If the design of the house specifies the use of it then you probably can and as long as its approved by the relevant
authorities.

2. You can do a combination of 9"/5" blocks or 6"/5" blocks.

3. If your intention is an all inclusive use of 5" blocks, note that it can't be done applying the same principles as for
6"/9". And the blocks to use can't be likened to those medications easily gotten from over the counter.

Kwara State does not receive allocation like Niger-Delta States so don't expect much projects. Personally, I spent quite some time in both areas so I know what I'm talking about.

It appears you are privileged on info about the peculiarities on the site.
The original op is yet to tell about it.

I guess there are probably 8 trees to cut down and15 stumps to remove which will appear on the excavation line or on the land and you'll have to remove them to a safe place.

We also need to know the nature of the site. There are certain stump filled sites that do require considerable sperate amount for removing it. Some people do factor this cost in excavation, while some quote it differently depending on d client.

Yea that may be true but I do not think the land/site per se is an entirely virgin land and the area of the structure does not give rise to that amount..

On a general note as guide......
For the first milestone which has to do with all foundation works you could be charged #150,000-#200,000.
Another could charge you #100,000.

nope its not sandfilled. attached is the layout with dimensions in mm. the perimeter is 22,220mm x 11,610mm, while the land is 30,300mm x 15,100mm. total nos of pillars is 36

One should not exceed #150,000 for excavating foundation trench and column base which is still fairly high.

President Muhammadu Buhari has instructed Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State to bring 83-year-old Imam of Nghar village, Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Abdullahi Abubakar, for “a hand shake and national honour.”

The President reportedly took the decision following reports that the imam saved about 300 persons on June 24 when suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded about 15 communities in Barkin Ladi LGA, killing scores.

“I hid the women in my personal house and after that, I took the men into the mosque and hid them there,” Imam Abubakar had stated.

But the cleric reportedly refused, and the attackers left without further ado.

Governor Lalong revealed the President’s plan for Imam Abubakar in Jos on Monday during the opening ceremony of a three-day peace and security conference with the theme, “The resurgence of violence in Plateau State: Towards a multi-stakeholder partnership for peace and security.”

It was organised by the Plateau State Peace Building Agency.

Lalong said, “The President has told me to bring to him Imam Abdullahi Abubakar for a handshake, which will be followed by a national honour.

“I was also preparing what to do for this man. Although he is already in his old age, God knows why he did it at that age — for us to study and also know how to maintain peace, not only in Plateau State but also in Nigeria in general.

“He did not only save the people of Barkin Ladi LGA, not only Plateau State, but I think the whole of this country because 300 lives is not a small number.

“So, Alhaji Abdullahi Abubakar, only God will reward you for what you have done.

“We are waiting for that process of meeting the President for a handshake and national honour.

Lalong also expressed happiness that the gesture by Imam Abubakar happened during his tenure as governor of Plateau state.

There are specifications, design guides & building codes to guide every architect designing a building. Flow, ventilation, space, lighting, emergency exit are things that shouldn't be left to the discretion of the client alone. Just like a doctor, an architect should be able to disagree to certain things suggested by a client regardless of the client brief.

Everything is not entirely true or false.

All designs and buildings done by both the architect and engineer are only but perfect as at the time it was done.
You can't compare designs done by anyone at his first 5years of pp to that done at 10 yrs and above in the same industry.

Why was nobody shocked when the speaker who directed the house to be on recess be impeached?

The question Nigerians have failed to ask is how and why is/was the Benue State speaker impeached?
If the house members were already on recess as directed by the speaker, on whose orders were the speaker impeached?
Why is the so called impeached speaker and a few others serving an impeachment order to the governor?
