If its an existing structure, you'll need to look at the structural plan to figure out the best place to put such facility and see if there can be any modification(s) to be made.

Just load the structural plans here assuming its was followed to the latter.

House any suggestions of water supply for high rise building of about 6 floors. Since constructing water tank stand of such height is odd.
The Architect/Civil Engineer designing the high rise structure should have made that as part of the design plans.

Except you're trying to say it was/is not considered in the design.

Fast track as the name implies is a group of people coming together with huge amount of money getting registrations done and sharing the earned benefits equally amongst themselves. These set of persons do not necessarily need to know one another but there needs to be some form of trust for such to be effective. Fast track is the best pattern to use especially for those who find it hard to refer people or get referrals. A good networkpreneur should be able to make best if in a fast track team/group and also understanding the MLM platform to invest in. Most MLM platforms are flexible but a few are not and if you find yourself in these few without proper understanding you might get your accounts blocked. There are lots of paying MLM platforms and anyone who is yet to spot a good paying one is probably not interested in benefiting or still riding in skepticism.
If there's anyone here going through this thread and would love to join a fast track team and earn good benefits, you can check my signature for my contact details via whatsapp and I'll fill you in.
Every fast track team/group is a community and every community grows and we're looking forward to our collective growth both in numbers and in earnings.

huh huh

So many times I see people jumping into marriage without knowing what they are jumping into.
Marriage is an everlasting institution and those that study the institution well shall find joy in it.

Marriage unites two sinners into one. Without looking at the gospel you will not understand biblical marriage. The main purpose of marriage is to glorify God and to be a representation of how Christ loves the church.

In marriage you are not only committing to each other in companionship, you are committing to each other in everything. Nothing comes before your spouse.

Proverbs 18:22 “He who finds a wife finds what is goodand receives favor from the LORD.”

But this day you hardly see people asking God
Is she made for me? Lord show me my wife?

What do you expect when you don't build the foundation of your marriage with God.
Divorce, heartbreak, unfruitful marriage and so on possibly it could lead to death
ASK GOD FIRST BEFORE CONSIDERING MARRIAGE

GOOD MORNING
Nothing pains me more than to see a scripture from the Holy Bible misinterpreted.

Please kindly do yourself a favour and read from beginning of that chapter till the end.
Thanks.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Sister Might Have Been Brainwashed By GNLD by bixton(m): 11:14am On May 27, 2018
mannatech:
I have always been able to guide my sister when it comes to issues that needs external input or advice.

My sister was able to retain her job after her nysc but had to resign last year. Since then, she has not been lucky in the labour market.
The reason why I opened this thread is because of recent events that have finally provided her with another job .
Am not satisfied with the kind of job because of numerous red flags that kept popping before this supposedly job.

Let me start from the beginning to explain how I came to the conclusion that the company might be a gnld company.
Last month, My mom's former customer came visiting and on trying to catch up on old times asked about my sister and mom told her how she was working but had to resign and now she's job hunting.
So the customer now promised mom she might be able to help my sister get employed in the company she works in and asked for my sister's phone number.
She called my sister and directed to a man in Abuja where my sister is based.
Few days later, I had to call my sister With instructions to travel down to our village for a distant relative's burial as our representative but she didn't pick up until hours later with the excuse that she was in a seminar.
That should have the first red flag but I didn't read much into it under when few days later, my mom told me a very ridiculous statement about my sister demanding for N40,000 as a requirement before she will be given the job.
That ridiculous demand was what set my alarm bells on and I kept trying to convince my mom that this kind of job is not right but my mom never being able to read or write and with no knowledge about issues like this, disregarded everything I raised.
I kept pestering my sister to at least show me her proof that it's not an gnld company but she's insisting she's a staff and not a distributor.
That its an NGO that's into networking.

She on a visit for the weekend and she brought my mom some of their "made in Philippines" products ( tea, supplements)
Op, nobody brainwashed your sister but she did that to herself.
There are so many red flags in your write ups. It's best you take out time to talk to your sister much more than you're writing here.

I do not see any right thinking being especially a graduate attending a seminar, being made to pay that amount if money to get employed and ends up selling those products!!!
So is she selling and paying them to pay her or what?

When people don't understand something rather than blame themselves they blame others.

Network marketing or MLM is not for the unemployed. So if someone is telling you to leave a paid job and go hustle in any of these as full time then you must be a joker

I am into MLM network based platforms and I do them at my discretion.
I would rather build my persobal business giving it full time than rather another's.
InvestmentRe: UNDERSTANDING MLM, INVESTING IN IT AND GETTING APPRECIABLE EARNINGS. by bixton(op): 6:23pm On May 26, 2018
Most of these newly found MLM platforms are purely indigenous while a few are foreign linked though there's always an attached clause as it relates to business transactions.
The names of MLM platforms are endless and new ones are springing up by the second.
Usually the financial benefits to be earned in belonging to any of these platforms is so so true that it will make anyone to join though a couple of persons are still sceptical about it all.
There are two types of bonuses. The referral bonus and stage bonus. Most persons earn more from referrals and less from stage bonuses. Those who earn more from referrals create spills. By stage bonus I mean balancing your left and right legs at every point in time to be able to earn as well.
A lot of Nigerians have embraced one or two of such MLM platforms be you employed, self employed, student, trader, etc, etc and earning in them.
Given the task behind getting referrals, earning from the platform and great team work, a new found word was given birth to just to ease the pressure on any individual.
That word is called " Fast Track ".
InvestmentRe: UNDERSTANDING MLM, INVESTING IN IT AND GETTING APPRECIABLE EARNINGS. by bixton(op): 4:31am On May 23, 2018
MLM network platforms started in Nigeria with the influx of companies like Forever Living Products (FLP), GNLD, EDMARK,Tianshi, Trevo, Tiens, Kedi, Longrich, etc, etc, etc. All these networking companies were all strictly on products based referral marketing. And those who joined these products based referral networking companies benefited a lot especially those who understood the system and the respective health benefits of their products.

The economic recession (artificial) gave rise to a different type of MLM platforms. But it all started with the introduction of a scheme referred to as MMM otherwise called ponzi schemes. The birth of MMM (PH-GH) gave rise to a new brand of millionaires in the country within a short period and its abrupt end brought psychological trauma and death to others.
Least we forget that the oldest form of MMM in Nigeria used to be called Umana Umana.

The abrupt end of MMM gave rise to a new brand and wave of MLM platforms which are solely based on recruiting referrals (down lines) before registered participants will earn. These recent wave of platforms are not (entirely) products based.

WHAT IS MULTI LEVEL MARKETING (MLM) AND UNDERSTANDING THEM

Multi Level Marketing also known as MLM or pyramid platform is a type of networking business where a particular company indirectly requires the services of an independent marketer to procure their goods, make use of such goods, sell those goods to other end users thereby generating earnings on sales of those products on one aspect and also making earnings through way of referrals.
MLMs are in different forms having different binary matrix patterns. There are 2x2, 2x5, 2x6, 3x3, 4x7, etc, etc, etc. Each matrix pattern is based on the number of referrals gotton into the network platform by the respective individuals and earnings are generated accordingly and paid to each qualified participant according to the various level/stages achieved.
While some of these binary matrix patterns are true in the sense that one's earnings corresponds to the number of referrals gotten, others are plain false and your earnings are not commensurate with the number of referrals. Referrals are also called downlines. In order for one to earn with less effort one has to understand the matrix pattern being used or be faced with challenges.

MLM is one sure way of becoming a millionaire given the right frame of mind and community. Community here is referred to as the number of referrals one could get in the process which is also associated with crowd funding.
MLM is an ancient form of empowerment scheme but only just modernized. There is very little difference between MLM platforms and what we called Osusu/Contributions.

Hmmm.. this probelm can be very frustrating, my friend went through hell, before he sorted his own.
I was with him all the way because 'l told him what does not have mouth, cannot be wiser than two intelligent adults'. grin

I want to see if l can request him to post me his pictures, so l can share it here.

- Since the leak is from the side edges, it is due to hydrostatic pressure from underground water.
- The more you seal it, the more the pressure increase, as water must find its way.
- Nothing can stop that pressure, except the type of 'instant dry cement mix' used in consturcting bridges but you are not Julius Berger so you wont have that.

Here are what you need to do:

Requirement: Concrete mix sealant like HydroSeal. (Contact this guy, Peter Olabode 07060415187. A 5Litre keg was 16K)
One length of 3" pipe. A few Bags of Cement. Enough PVC Construction Nylon to cover the base of the tank. Sand, some Granite and Iron Rods.

1. You are buying Concrete Sealant which you will mix with the Cement mixture, used in flooring the base.

2. You are going to lose some depth since the problem is already there. Leave the side leakage alone, let it leak.
You will be creating a completely NEW BASE. (But you can save cost by reducing the amount of iron since the first/current base is strong enough to prevent collapse but not enough to prevent water ingress.)

3. Get a good, working Water pumping machine on ground. You will need this to pump water continiously for at least the first 12hrs and intermittently afterwards, depending on how quickly the water returned.

Important: The 'sucking' rigid hose of the pump (the hose part that sucks the water from ground into the pump machine) should be less than 3". You will need to remove the strainer at the end, so it can enter a 3" Pipe.
Suck all the water out first and then proceed as below.

4. Put 6" blocks, randomly on the current floor of the tank (about 12 to 18 blocks will do, depending on the size of your tank(let us call this floor, 'floor 1', for easy nomenclature). The new one will be called 'floor 2'.
The blocks will support the new wooden base of 'floor 2' while also allowing water to pass around between them.
Dont crowd the floor too much with blocks but put enough to support the weight of the new floor and the person who will be casting it!

5. Put 1x12" wooden planks on the blocks to form a platform, so the new platform has a height of one block, above the old 'floor 1'.

6. Using a plum-line, mark out a new baseline for the tank (all around the walls, just along the plank line).

7. Chisel about 2" deep (horizontally and vertically into the wall, all round the tank wall, at the edges of where the wooden platform will start from.
The idea is to create a good bond between the wall and the tank base you are about to construct so that the water does not have a 'direct route' upwards, when it tries to come up.

8. Cut a hole at the centre of the wooden platform, just let it be big enough to allow you to insert the 3" Pipe. No bigger, No smaller please.
Important: dont cut the hole at the side, water pressure is greater at the sides and more difficult to manage! Pumping machine hose will also be difficult to handle, from the sides.

9. Lay the PVC Nylon on the wooden platform. Leave enough Nylon at the sides so you can push them into the crevase you chiseled earlier. This is to increase the difficulty of the water in sneaking past the the tank wall and make it even more water-tight.

10. Cut out a 4.5ft length of the 3" pipe.
Important: dont cut longer (difficulty ot handle).
Dont cut shorter (it wont likely hold the water long enough and the water will come back to spoil the job).
4.5ft is just about the best length.

11. Insert this pipe into the hole cut into the wooden platform.
Let it tilt at an angle of about 60-degrees to the floor (or 30-degrees from the vertical).
chuck all the surrounding edges where the pipe meets the wooden platform with more PVC Nylon.
All the excess Nylon will be buried within the Cement, when you are doing the flooring.
Dont let any of them stick out otherwise, that is where the leakage will come from.

12. Put some iron rods on the wooden platform, enough to give the new tank base some/enough strength (a few rods, criss-crossed will do. nothing elaborate)

Now that you have prepared the floor,
13. Insert the pump's hose into the 3" pipe, let it touch the old floor (floor 1) and suck out ALL the water that would have accumulated between the blocks and the wooden platform.
Leave the hose inside the 3" pipe and start the pump once in while, maybe every 15-20mins, depending on how quikly the water rises.

14. Mix adequate amount of Cement with Sand, that can give you a tank base thickness of about 3" - 4".
Add a few granites to it (not too much as to make it too dry or have air pockets/holes! grin ).
Add adequate cement please so that it can pour in a manner that will fill all hole/air gaps and so it can dry quickly!
Shovel the mixture properly to give you a good mix.

15. Add the rquired amount of HydroSeal (as per instructions on the Container), to 'enough water' in a bucket.
This is the water you will use to mix the Sand-Cement-Granite mixture.
Stir properly and pour into the Cement mixture.
Mix properly and add enough of this Hydroseal/water to the Cement mixture until you have a good slurry that is wet enough to 'pour'. (Dont know how to better explain this but the mixture must not hold shape, when shoveled into a head pan, it must stretch-out like a slurry).

16. Pour this onto the wooden Platform.
Let the Bricklayer work it into the chiselled edges properly and around the 3' Pipe.
Keep pumping out the water from under the platform, through the 3' Pipe.

17. As long as you keep pumping out the water through the 3" pipe, never allowing it to get to the level of the new platform, for at least 18-24 hours, (when the misture should begin to be strong enough to withstand some pressure), you will be okay.

keep pumping for about two days. The water will start rising through the pipe and may even spillover through it, ONTO the new flooring!
You may see some of this water and other water on the new tank base but dont worry about them, that is just the Cement 'spitting out' the water you used in mixing it (my friend nearly has a heart attack when he saw this water the next day, thinking the thing has failed again! grin )

18. keep mopping and drying-off all the water on the new floor (dont crak it with your weight, if it is not yet strong enough to carry a humanbeing).
Watch it for another day but this time, pump-off the water rising through the 3" pipe and dont allow it to spill over to the floor, just to ensure there is no leak afterall.
The pressure is what is pushing the water up the pipe and if it were not long enough, it will spill onto the new floor before it is adequately dry and not being dry, it wont be strong enough to withstand the pressure (e go leak!)

19. Finally, Suck out all the water underneath the new floor (floor 2) again and immediately use a lot of PVC to block the pipe (pushed down its length till it is under the floor, upwards till it is about the height of the wooden paltform.
Then pour dry cement down the hole and end it with a mixture of Hydroseal mixed with just dry cement only (No sand, No granite). Dont make it too wet (unlike before), just enough to wet the Cement.
Fill it up all the way to the end of the hole, meaning about 2-3ft above floor level.

20. Cut off any excess pipe after this 3ft.
It should dry-up before the water rises to push it off.

Now you have conquered the water.

NB: I have tried to make this as detailed as possible (long story!), so it can benefit anyone who has the same challenge or anyone about to engage in the process, a first time.
Twice my friend has to break and remove a particular Septic tank becaus just wont stop leaking, until we did it this way.
Good one. Hope he understands this whole process.

What is coming out from 2 edges at the base where it meet the ground.
You will have to use water seal + your concrete mix or just the water seal + cement +sharp sand for that particular area. There are various types and you can find them in outlets where they sell tiles.
If you can wait till dry season to empty the soakaway and properly attend to it giving if there will be no water or not much water coming from the floor/edges so it cures well then that would be fine.

Note a soakaway is supposed to hold water and I naturally do not think that this is an issue except if it will lead to collapse. Just observe the tide of the water. Also consider increasing the height of the soakaway.

My Ogas,

This septic tank was casted on surface and suck as per the land is a water-logged area (precisely in Port Harcourt). The floor was also casted but the problem is leakage at the edges. The septic tank has been casted like twice, still no good result due to the high pressure of the underground water. The moment you pure the dry concrete mixture you will see the water coming through the cement concrete. The Septic tank was like 12 ft deep initially but now due to the casting poured is like 10 ft or less.
Anyone with a professional advice or solution.

Thank you.
When you say water coming through the edges do you mean the 4 edges at the base where it meets the ground or at where?

Make an addition of <25% of total amount of your bill of quantity.
Take that as your loan and work towards it.

2. 1st stage Elelctrical (draw conduit wirings, backpanels, DB's but no final fittings yet)

4. Plastering (to seal-in windows, plumbing pipes and wires, e.t.c)

No 3: plaster walls ( at this point make sure entry and exit doors are in place/any door at the external of the building
No:4: fix window and seal them dressing/rendering

Peace and good health to you all. I don't know whether I should cry or laugh! I engaged a stamped concrete artisan to visit my site for measurement and then quote. Below is the quote he gave! Now, bear in mind the site is just over 1 plot (about 700sqm, with a building already on it, so the total area that needs stamped concrete is probably less than half of 700sqm). I am not sure which site this guy visited or where he studied mathematics. His quote shows a total area of 2,277.4 sqm, resulting in a cost of just over N8million to floor a compound of less than a plot (and not even polished stamped concrete, but the cheaper unpolished one)! Is this guy for real!
I will just want to assume he was reading the wrong side of tape and forgot to do proper conversion.
