For goodness sake, can't we put aside trivial differences and focus on facts? Where in the world do you see a president go abroad, and only want to meet with foreign business men? Is the message from Buhari now one of 'I will only deal with foreign business men because Nigerians are corrupt'? I know Buhari most likely is not a fan of many of the big Nigerian business men due to their support for PDP in the past, but he really needs to let that go and focus on the now and the future. Any attempt to give preference to foreign business over Nigerian business, will simply create yet more headache and problems for his govt. |
May her a soul rest in perfect peace. I pray that one day we will have leadership in this country that has the brains to recognize TRUE heroes and accord them as such. |
By all means probe, but why start with GEJ. What of OBJ. Did the house of reps not expose massive fraud in OBJ's power sector contracts. What of Haliburton, have the US not provided a file with all the evidence? Is Buhari saying there was no corruption in the ANPP, and AC states? Lets investigate and punish ALL corruption, not just that of GEJ |
I think people need to read between the lines very carefully. Sambo Dasuki the sacked NSA was IBB's boy. Gussau the former defense minister is a long time IBB man. IBB seems to be saying to Buhari 'You have removed my boys, but it seems like you don't know how to handle this situation, here is some advice, you would do well to listen to it' Officers serving at the frontline will read this and take note. IBB NEVER does anything without a reason....... |
haba, I thught he said there is no such thing as subsidy and its one big fraud. ![]() |
He will be found not guilty........In the fullness of time ![]() |
Nonsense!! When will Nigerians start to use that big organ between their ears called THE BRAIN. Please THINK about issues before jumping to conclusions. Look at the sum being branded about $50 billion dollars! From where? Let me tell you if that amount of money went missing from the US economy they would feel it big time,. talk less of Nigeria. What has been our average GDP over the last 5 years that 2 or 3 people can just divert $50 billion. Please this is a beer story which nobody with an ounce of intelligence should take seriously |
WOCKHARDI:In The fullness of time, there will be a FEC. Right now we need to allow The Grand Caliph Alhaji Buhari focus on more important matters, like the spread of Sharia to all corners of the land. |
yongnoble:O boy easy now, Buhari na person papa O!! ![]() |
A very well written article. I hope soon people will realize that in Nigeria it does not matter if its PDP or ACP, North or South in charge. The system is SIMPLY NOT WORKING. Until the country is re-structured and true federalism is practiced, the problems will continue for everybody, both Northerners and Southerners. |
doctokwus:I've got to agree with you. We need to think hard here and ask why the sudden upsurge in all these bombs? I think it's a message from 'The owners of Nigeria' I am not referring to any particular tribal group here, rather the collection of parasites that have been sucking this country dry. They hail from both North and South, they the oil barons, the smugglers, the bunkers.....etc. I think they are saw how successfully BH was used to discredit and distract GEJ's govt, so now they are applying the same playbook against Buhari. They know that as long as he is distracted by the 'war against terror' he will not be able to focus on the war on corruption so they will be safe. That's my theory for all that's happening now |
zubby29:NEVER. The SW are on their own. The Fulani played them totally. How can the SW now come and want to from an alliance wit the SS/SE after votting out a SS President. Let me tell you all some secrets of POWER in Nigeria. You protect YOUR OWN. No matter how bad, they are , no matter how clueless, you NEVER go against them. That is the reality. Have we not had bad Northern govts in the past? Did you ever see the Northerners attack one of their leaders the way southerners were attacking GEJ? During the June 12th election, Abiola got most of the votes in the North, yet when IBB annulled the election it was only in the South that people took to the streets(and died) the North was quiet. In 1989 when students took to the streets to protest the harsh economic policies of IBB, again, it was only the southern university students that rioted(and those universities got shut down by IBB) again the North was quiet. Young people in the south are SO ignorant and childish. They really think Nigeria works like America were you vote in the best candidate for the Job. RUBBISH. Nigeria is a game of tribe and ethnicity, always has been always will be. GROW UP and understand this. We warned you when you were all jumping on the Buhari bandwagon, that you would regret it, but you did not listen. The SW have next 4 years to come to terms with their mistake, and ALL young southerners of the Twitter,Facebook generation, I hope you can now see how Nigeria REALLY works and will be wiser with your votes come 2019. |
They should all line up and take a big jump into the Lagoon!!! |
The APC fanatics will soon be out in force to insult you. They will tell you we don't need ministers, GEJ took 7 weeks blah blah. For those of us who predicted how the Buhari administration would pan out there is no surprise that at all. I am sorry but things will get a lot worse as the divided APC is simply not capable of giving the leadership required for the nation. |
Did you ask the same question of Leadership, The Nation and Daily Trust when they were attacking GEJ |
He's reflecting on how's he ended up like every other used and dumped Yoruba leader who aligned with the north. The roll call of shame Awolowo Abiola Diya Tinubu |
With the Niara in free fall and BH rampant, I think Buhari has some more important things to focus on. |
Emekamex:And Tinubu is Stanis. A king only in his own head |
Firefire:Cursed are the children who do not listen to their elders |
And some APC goons will be telling the world there is no need to get a minister of finance |
But I thought he was going to wipe them out in 2 months. Another hot air promise from Buhari |
Starting to sound a lot like GEJ. ![]() |
After this meeting NOTHING is going to change. Saraki and Drogba have the backing of many bigwigs in the country who want to see the Buhari govt kept on a tight leash. These are the people Akande was referring to. The BIGGEST mistake ACP ever made was allowing the nPDP members into their mist. They must now reap what they sowed with that mistake. |
Well fans of GOT all know how the 'King of the North' ended up |
Can we get this on Pay Per view? It's likely to be more exciting than the recent Mayweather fight! |
10000% agree with the man. You can't have one without the other. The law of Bigamy became redundant the moment the Supreme court ruled Gay marriage legal. The logical extension of the supreme court judgement is that ALL marriage is legal, weather its polygamous or even incestuous, it's protected by the constitution. |
Can civilians study at NDA ![]() |
softwareman:That would be a very unwise move. Those expelled would simply move to PDP, potentially giving them a majority in both houses, certainly in the Senate. Do you have any idea how disruptive that would be to Buhari's agenda? The adage keep your friends close and your enemies closer is quite apt in this situation. |
Why are you all surprised? Did anything happen to the judge who granted perpetual injunction preventing Odili from being arrested? Did anything happen to the judge who cleared Ibori of all charges? Any war on corruption must cut across all levels of society, political, business, Judicial...ETC. Nigeria is rotten to the core. |
Buhari, I hope your 'War on corruption' will see all these ones as well, and not just focus on 'feedeefee' ![]() |
