TV/MoviesRe: Designing A Home Theater Cinema On A Budget by BlackBaron: 2:44pm On Nov 17, 2013
Nice. Bowers and Wilkins are certainly top range. Quite common to mix up varities.

Other good cheap mid range home cinema systems includes Tannoy 5.1, Yamaha and Onyko.

You can check out with mood control lightings, ambient backlights, projectors and soundproofing walls if they are your taste.
PoliticsRe: LASTMA Official Caught On Tape Collecting Bribe by BlackBaron: 2:31pm On Nov 15, 2013
The problem here is that the ogas that would sack them are even greater thieves.

Farouk with his cap-full of Dollar$ still walks free. Oduah's BMW-gate is slowly being pushed under the carpet.

Many more cases abound.
A rigid anti corruption stance against any ant or every elephant bar none would do more good, than this new trend of 'eye service' dismissals of only erring low tier officials.
PoliticsRe: Petition: Make Senator Cruz Apologize For His Offensive Remarks by BlackBaron: 10:05am On Oct 24, 2013
'Nigerian email scammers' he said. Which we are very aware of and applies to only a minority of Nigerians.

Its like the Italians getting pissed when 'Italian Mafiosos' are referenced.

Surely there are better causes out there ... undecided

mechanicaldummie: use guerrillamail
I wouldnt advise 'guerrillamail' for that. Its useful as only a disposable email and then they only last an hour.
Certainly not for long term use...
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron: 12:18pm On Oct 19, 2013
A bit unrelated,
But how many times do you get asked for your email when you try to sign up for a freebie or download stuff.

Simply use one of the many disposable emails out there like 'Guerrillamail'. Retrieve your stuff from the inbox and never worry about your email passed on to spammers mailing list.
Can reset username to your own taste or whatnot.
Sorry but I am not talking about playing the video, I'm referring to a sort of preview play right within the gallery app itself.
He is correct in a way.

Previews would not show for videos that are not supported by your device straight out of the box. RE MKV for example shows no preview on mine. I also use third party video players to watch as it stutters on my phone.

FamilyRe: Bullying Make African Kids Stronger But Kills The American Kids: Why by BlackBaron: 8:40pm On Oct 17, 2013
Bullying simply put, makes no 'African' child stronger. Kids would react differently to it. In Western countries however suicide is kind of a social construct and seen as a way out which extends to kids too unfortunately.

Infact if you think it'll make kids stronger ill be apt to presume some in our society, believe bullying is an accepted norm which it isn't!

Sunymoore: Ad block does not consume any data. Connection are passed through it that's why some data monitoring software mistake it
Reasonable explanation. I am just miffed on how 600mb was used up. Prolly had some data heavy background app running and had to pass through ad block.
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron: 2:01pm On Oct 17, 2013
Can someone explain why 'ad block plus' app consumes data like a starving lion?

In a single day, say bout a 4hr time frame, I had 600MB + used by the ad block app. Swiftly deleted it.
PoliticsRe: The Minister Of Aviation Messed Up But... by BlackBaron:
Eh ya...Stockholm syndrome right?

In our part of the world, it is deemed acceptable by the citizens (?) for political office holders to rob the treasury as long as they 'performing'.

Noted. grin

I am now thinking the joke is on me that Nigeria would ever get better with all these type of 'genetically morally bankrupt' humans around.

What is going on here?

I see one of our Ogas at the top is 'under the influence' of one 'T' brand that shouldn't be named.

grin I smell sarcasm.
Car TalkRe: Tariff On Imported Tokunbo Cars Raised by BlackBaron: 12:05pm On Oct 04, 2013
It's all good to encourage local industries but then I'll likely never buy a car whose safety rating or crash test record is not known.

Until then...foreign cars would still likely top the bill.

Has anyone on root tried this 2 apps, I read great things about them. My mobile is on a sabbatical...

One is a mesh network call software, whilst the other is an off the chain sound mod.

Can you ask others that know already by PM.
I can't access my PMs as I, cant login to the email used for NL anymore.

Atm it seems comics and scientific research papers have been axed. Why I'm reluctant to the info becomes mainstream and get shot down.

Leopantro: @ BlackBaron, thanks for the link. let me give you something. check for general downloader on the app store, go to filecrop. finally, sign up to 4shared and use the desktop mode. you are given more search results than when you don't sign up.
Thanks. Never knew that. Another cool new stuff added to my collection.

And for those still asking, I now see why peeps like 4ller get angry...

4llerbuntu: strange. the ..42 beta leak I was using is still d same one circulating. they haven't released the official apk yet as far as I know.

does anyone use a cracked playstore? pls check if the official app has been released for any market.
The .42 came out yesterday according to a post on CrackBerry. I installed it straight this morning and it worked without no extra mods. The other .33 version had been blacklisted from connecting I think.

veektorh: Show box is cool.. I'll still go for tvportal for series and dmovies app for the latest movies
I use XBMC with the navi x and Mash up plugins for my movies and documentaries. Especially easier to download if hosted on putlocker.

Docs like Jungle Gold et al gets shown months before being released outside the US.

Another Q2 loss for BlackBerry - ~$1 billion.
I'm waiting to see what sort of monetisation RIM would apply to BBM.

Also check out 'Show Box' app. You can watch or download the latest episodes of your favourite series.
PoliticsRe: James Ibori Stole Half Of Delta State Allocation In 8 Years – Ribadu by BlackBaron: 9:44am On Sep 20, 2013
Half a billion $$$. lipsrsealed

Was he hoping to get buried with his people's wealth?
Meanwhile his Contemporary -in- fraud was given immunity by Jonathan.

Since our rulers are bigger than the judiciary, maybe we should just sign an agreement with the British to persecute our corrupt officials for us?
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Shamelessly Admits He's Afraid Of Corrupt Nigerians! by BlackBaron: 10:28pm On Sep 18, 2013
Change starts from the top. We have an unending assembly line of leaders who talk the talk without actions.

First of all, let us know

- What is his current net worth as President and why the reluctance to publically declare?

- Why the silence of the EFCC on the Farouk - Otedola saga extending to the supposed oil subsidy cabals, and 'major oil bunkerers'?

- Why the Presidential hand shake pardon of a major money launderer ala Alams?

Those are just some out in the open...

BBM is the IM King. Thinking outside the box, it is also probably the most secure messenger especially in the wake of the NSA spy saga ( not that I got something to hide)

PoliticsRe: Ibori Hid Assets In Oando - British Prosecutor by BlackBaron: 7:58am On Sep 17, 2013
Looting in Nigeria's is akin to a synchronised network of pen robbers extending beyond tribes, party lines et al. (Meanwhile the stupidos eke out their futile tribalism here on NL day and night fighting for masters feeding them worse than crumbs from the table)

Jonathan's suspicious $8 million dollars asset declaration as Vice President (...even had the impunity to shun public declaration of his wealth as President)Tinunbu's meteorically found wealth to Ibori's largese.

Yet, some would come Nairaland and defend these bunch of charlatans and cradle robbers. On evaluation, it is quite clear most of y'all suffer from 'Stockholm Syndrome'

Sway is Ghanaian mate.

Top 4 in no order would be

Shirley Bassey
Sade Adu
Fela
Seal

These names would certainly ring a bell with most
