Is this a tacit admission of the failings of your puppet master you helplessly gyrate to every morning? undecided
Yes, i believe its the next logical step, bringing all those tablets and mobile games to the tv,
i tried to join the band wagon too at $99, but all the slots had been taken, apart from the $1000+
Anyways, waiting to buy when it hits the market!
OUYA! love the name sha! very catchy!
It'll be interesting to see what happens afterwards. Would be cool to run emulators on this. NDS would be cool cheesy
Bit surprised by the response though 2 days and almost $3.5million with 28 days to go...

notababa: Google's very poor attempt at an Apple TV killer. Big fan of the big G but Nexus Q is just too limited. Can't stream Hulu/Netflix. Only YouTube/Google Play videos
Don't even call it an Apple killer. Least ATV has hdmi, optical and other ports. Flash xbmc on that and you got one heck of a HTPC. At twice the price of Apple TV, it is such a fail(?)
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron:
You guys seen the latest android project called 'Ouya' ?

Meant to be an ambitious new game console for the TV, powered by Android. Currently on Kickstarter.com, its raking in an astonishing $3000 a minute!
Is tis the next Big Thing ?

Jonathan should stop making promises he can never deliver.

Everyday, he strikes new lows yet his army of supporters would still throng here trying to justify the situation

Just one question...What exactly is the use of Nexus Q?
Foreign AffairsRe: The Incredible Shrinking Of Lake Chad by BlackBaron: 10:01pm On Jul 09, 2012
Never knew it was this bad shocked ...I'd seen few documentaries of the man made 'Aral 'disaster but never knew we had similar closer to home!

Seems 95% in volume has been lost. Pity the sub region is still too drunk with her problems to bother about desert encroachment, shrinking lakes and whatnot.

Least maybe some Nigerians would now understand having a President or political appointee hail from your geographical zone or tribe would not necessarily translate to elevated economic or social status.

BusinessRe: Ghanaian Government Closes Nigerian Businesses In Accra. by BlackBaron: 11:58pm On Jul 06, 2012
Nigerians have got to be the most arrogant and biggest prized hypocrites on the planet.

It's a shame our country is looking like Somalia-in-disguise else why would Zambia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and other 'minor states' take turns in deporting Nigerians.

It's high time we get our houses in order rather than having a go at our smaller West African neighbour for trying to protect her citizens. At the rate every Tom, Di.ck and Harry of petty trading is setting up shops in Ghana, their businesses would easily be over run and overtaken if not nipped early. Tis may lead to disconcerting voices later from Ghanaians who would feel threatened and may lead to a repeat of the 2011 xenophobic episode by poor South Africans.

All this 'battle of the cheap tablets' is always good for the consumers but I'll like to see what Cupertino Apple's definition of "cheap" is.

Car TalkRe: Nigerian Army To Unveil 1st Locally Made Armoured Cars by BlackBaron: 2:30pm On Jul 03, 2012
The APC shown yesterday was entirely different from this. Though it was assumed elsewhere this was the one to be displayed.

The one on show was built entirely by the NA corps engineer?

Least Proforce got free publicity anyway.

I may not be a fan of Jonathan, but a bit surprised how the discussion has gone on a different tangent to the topic.

Here goes the first pics taken as far back as January or earlier. Possibly, they might have had more different configurations produced as at now but not sure.

manny4life: There's no job security even if you worked in the Oil, Manufacturing, Retail, Entertainment or Hospitality industry. The ONLY security you can have is "ENTREPRENEURSHIP".
Not everyone can be an entrepreneur. Nor does entrepreneurship guarantee absolute job security.

I'm only focusing on the trend of obligatory mass monthly retrenchment in the banking sector compared to say oil or telecoms.

They are 2 entirely different companies, not related in any way. Don't mix them up...
Car TalkRe: Nigerian Army To Unveil 1st Locally Made Armoured Cars by BlackBaron: 4:47pm On Jun 29, 2012
shymmex: The APC wasn't built by the Nigerian Army - two Ekiti brothers built it, but the Army modernized it..

This is the prototype APC here:
Wrong! The Obasa brothers' apc is not the one being commissioned.

Their prototype apc is STILL not ready yet.

Here she is. Known as the Proforce pf1 APC. Manufactured in Ogun state.

TravelRe: Why Are Nigerians Tagged "Bad" In Most Foreign Countries. by BlackBaron: 6:51pm On Jun 28, 2012
Quite unfortunate really.

However I disagree with 'only a few bad eggs' line. I'd wager a significant percentage of Nigerians are bad. The sooner we realise that the better. Most of the behaviour of Nigerians abroad is only an extension of the lawless society they originated from. Our society is sadly based on a wobbly foundation, where there is an innate desire to succeed in whatever way possible cue the fake drug manufacturers, to the all singing yahoo-yahozee boys dancing to their victims downfall without a smirk of remorse. Money reigns supreme here whether gotten by hook or crook. Most will still dance to the music of a billionaire armed robber if they had to in order to curry favour from them.

It is so bad even religion could not bring succor, its well known most only attend places of worship only because of the prosperity preaching rather than to derive a moral mantra.

At the end of it, there are still good NIGERIANS from the stories of the cab driver and airplane cabin cleaner returning suitcases of cash and wallets stuffed with huge amount of hard currency respectively to the stories of engineers working for NASA and others performing many medical feats. All this good achievements would still pale in significance to our peculiar over representation in crime statistics hence the issue of generalising and stereotyping of 'Everything Nigerian is bad' by some.

PoliticsRe: When Will Tinubu Declare His Assets? by BlackBaron: 9:21am On Jun 27, 2012
In a sane society, the likes of a questionable Tininbu and an incompetent law breaking President would never be fit to hold office.

Especially the latter on a televised tv broadcast saw fit to display a level of brazen arrogance disregarding the tenets of the constitution he is meant to uphold.

Well this is Nigeria where few are sane...
