Reading most replies here I would say Nigerians are used to seeing men behave in a certain fixed pattern and are reluctant to embrace diversity in character and way of life. Charley boy has defined himself and how he wants his life to be. For heavens sake it is not a must that every man should behave like the usual man. Live your life how you want it as long as you dont disturb other people's peace. I fully support charly boy choosing his lifestyle and not necessarily being like every other 62 years old. Even if he is weird, he hasnt crossed the boundaries to sink below human standards, so no cause for alarm. |
onitshaigbo: Doesn't matter. I still won't buy chinko phones, Huawei or Tecno.Do you realize that iphones and samsungs are all made in china but under foreign names? Besides, chinko phones are only intentionaly targeting the poor folks who cant afford the luxury of samsung and apple. Pray that you aint hit with poverty. Thats when you will appreciate chinko phones giving you more for little price. They keep rising and improving day by day. |
On your canoes... get set... |
All of una wey dey yab chinko products, you guys should keep yabbing as chinko dey advance with full speed. |
Every six months, the Top500 organization reveals its list of the world’s fastest supercomputers. And for the past few lists, there’s been a lot of movement. In June 2011, it was Japan’s “K” supercomputer. In June 2012, it was IBM‘s Sequoia. In November 2012, Cray took the lead with its Titan supercomputer. And now there’s a new fastest supercomputer – the Chinese Tianhe-2. The Tianhe-2 was built by the National University of Defense Technology in China. It is the successor to the Tianhe-1A supercomputer, which topped the list of world’s fastest supercomputers in November of 2010. It will be deployed at the National Supercomputer Center in Guangzho – two years ahead of schedule. Tianhe-2 is built entirely with Intel processors. It contains 16,000 nodes, which each contain two Xeon IvyBridge processors and three Xeon Phi processors, for a total of 3,120,000 total processor cores. And those cores are doing the job. According to the benchmarks used by Top500, it performs a staggering 33.86 petaflop/s. That’s nearly twice as fast as Titan, which has a performance benchmark of 17.59 petaflop/s. And just to show you how far things have come in just two and a half years, the Tianhe-1A performs at 2.56 petaflop/s. Don’t feel too bad for the old winner, thought – it’s still the 10th fastest supercomputer in the world. Another aspect of the Tianhe-2 is that it shows how rapidly China is advancing in the world of IT. Although the processors may have come from Intel, everything else – from the design to the operating system – was developed in China. Of course, that’s an exception as far as the list goes. As far as computer manufacturers go, IBM dominates the Top 500 list. Five of the top ten fastest supercomputers were built by IBM, as were 34 of the top 100. Cray and Fujitsu also have quite a few on the list as well. So while China may have the world’s fastest supercomputer, they still have plenty of competition. You can check out the full list of the world’s 500 fastest supercomputers here. http://www.forbes.com/sites/alexknapp/2013/06/17/chinese-supercomputer-is-now-the-worlds-fastest-by-a-lot/ |
pc guru: ehmmmm ladies don't want gender equality they just claim to do that, the same lady that wants gender equality also wants the "ladies first" and handling certain responsibilities to be handled by men, now that's highly hypocritical if you ask me. then again women are complex to begin with. They want it only when it would favor them. But when it comes to the toughest shiit they reject it. ![]() |
Yield: You're saying that: because the guys with money are very short in supply, girls will end up settling with broke-bottom dudes, so these men have nothing to worry about.Do you think it is possible to encourage a poor man to remain poor and he listens to you? And why MUST a girl settle with a rich dude? Ladies earn money like men. Why cant she settle with a broke dude like men settle with broke ladies? This is gender equality you have been yearning for. |
Honestly I dont remember any period I discussed or mentioned "girls are materialistic" with anybody. The reason is that I feel the issue is not worth stressing over cos its a problem that would solve itself. If girls really love money, how many guys out there possess all that money? In every society we have the rich and the poor. In a society like ours, the rich are very few. So it would be interesting to see how every girl will get a guy with a fat wallet. Few girls would be lucky to dig and find gold. So what would happen to the surplus who didnt find any gold? Guys, why bother? Just relax and go about your daily business. No need wasting hard earned money on champange bottles to impress anyone. A coke bottle will still be fine later on. |
Valto: i also need opinions of those that subcribed to airtel 2800 plan in the last one week... cos it seems airtel av changed their bb connection protocol for new subcriptions! @ OP wait for opinions from recent subscribers..Am already using it ![]() |
World population: 7 Billion plus. This is good news!! |
Women want to be empowered, but they dont want to take the responsibilites that comes with the power. As long as women want to rub shoulders with men, the above responsibilites should apply to women too. Anyway, there is nothing new in all that was stated. Anyone with common sense should know it. |
Seriously Nigerians need to breakout from their usual tradition and re-adapt. Its not working well anymore cos things are changing. The big problem here is that women are not sticking to tradition anymore, while men are still sticking to the tradition. Its either women go back to tradition or men breakaway from the tradition and redefine things for themselves and women too. |
jackbauersballs: Ask Agberos wetin dem dey chop...Good observation. But not a choice for an ajibutter like the OP. |
This exactly what I expect all the "good muslims" to do. If every good muslism does this in Northern Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc, I bet Islamic extremism will find it hard to thrive and Islam will regain its lost glory. |
If a truth o meter is installed on Nairaland to check every post for lies, you will be amazed to see the quantity of lies on this site. |
I suspect Tonto's fall was intentional to make us keep talking about her. |
coogar: that's because android is cheaper and several phone manufacturers use it. iOS runs only on apple devices.Of course thats why I said Apple wouldnt last far into the future. |
Please this is not about being lazy to read. The time I would spend to read this is what I can use to read 5 different educative things on Nairaland. Besides, it is not too important to sacrifice that much time. |
I dont think ios Will last far into the future. Apple phones are only popular and strong in the U.S with only 41% share of subscribers. Android is going worldwide, and it would one day suppress ios like what windows PC did to macintosh. |
kobenol: It does work...matter of fact I'm using it on my Galaxy Ace, to expire in 29th Jul.Ok. Thanks bro. |
Am thinking of activating that 3 months N2800 airtel internet blackberry plan on my android. I want to be sure about it before I go ahead to avoid wasting my money. My questions are: 1. Does it work on android phones like the N1,200 plan? 2. Is there any hidden disadvantage about it? |
Sometimes I watch documentaries mentioning that Jesus got married to Mary Magdalene. What evidence is there that suggests that it's true or false and what is the big deal about it if it is true? |
Chanchit: Oya...! Seun go and get that girl for me...!You think say seun no like better thing? |
yuzedo: u want to gimme yo mushin macket opc viggilanti numba abi? longggggggg hissssssss!!!Is Seun's rule 21 still there at all? |
I wonder if the pro-biafrans are asking themselves this question: What makes them fully confident that they would fair better and become prosperous if they leave Nigeria? The reasons they usually give for wanting out is because Igbos are killed and marginalized. Now I have to ask this: If biafra becomes actualized today does it mean that no Igbos will remain in the north and other danger zones where they are targeted? The answer is NO of course. Definitely Igbos will still be left in every corner you can think of and would still be killed by their so-called enemies. Igbos appear to be united when the issue of biafra comes up, therefore I can safely say that Nigeria is what is keeping Igbos united for now. Let Biafra become reality and I bet it would be time for igbos to face each other and settle scores among themselves dating back 200 years. Concerning the issue of maginalization or whatever, the simple truth is that: 1. Igbos do not need to produce a president for the south-east to develop and advance. 2. Being part of Nigeria is not an excuse why the south-east is underdeveloped. The south-east can still be developed even without necessarily breaking away. All it would take is strong teamwork and coordination. So what is all this noise and stress about biafra? Is there another reason they haven't mentioned yet? ![]() |
What will this "sit at home" thing achieve? |
yuzedo: . Whats his offence na!!! |
Micheal Jackson also did plastic surgery and bleaching on his genes eh. No wonder his produced a 100% white daughter. |
I checked my phone network and saw EDGE. I didnt bother watching the video. |
These days every Nigerian artiste sounds alike. In those days each artiste gave you a different flavour and feeling. Chai. I miss majek fashek, Alex O, Alex Zitto, The mandators, Mike Okri, Sunny Okosuns etc. |
naanxie: Horrible i must say!! Her poker face expression is out of this world! The first and d 3rd pix is sooo bad! I can mange d 2nd where she's sitting! Lovely pumps btw mama-gee:Men see what women cannot see. |
DailyNews: you made vital points in your previous posts, but if we look at the case this guy (BlackTeeth) raised here, he has good and solid points, even though they can never be implemented cos the world has already go wild, and women won't ever wanna hear this, but still, if you study his proposition very well, he is indirectly fighting for women, for their respect and happiness. The only understanding person so far. Thank you for helping out with the explanation. You understood the details thoroughly. slymm: @OP, I think I get what you are saying or maybe not. Are you saying that because nigerian women will not marry unemployed men, that they should leave the vacancies for the men and return to the Kitchen? If that is what you are saying, it is as the second poster said....Crap!! Get with the programme, this is 20w2. Only a foolish woman will sit back at home, spread like butter all over thhe house and wait for a husband to meet her every financial need just so she cooks, cleans and make sure the kids are wwell brought up. Sexism is a bad trait to have. Reject it.I wouldnt bother myself with any female poster here cos I know I would be wasting my time. Besides, I dont mean to use that "kitchen" word in the thread title cos I know its harsh. I only used it to draw attention to the thread. Am not saying you should stay in the kitchen entirely. My opinion is as long as our ladies who occupy top positions discriminate against unemployed guys, our society will be better off if ladies leave the top positions and go for minor occupations or develop skills and businesses of their own enough to support themselves and have time for their families too. The reason for this has been repeated severaly. Read the post made by the poster Dailynews quoted above. I dont hate women or whatever you think. Just that some problems needs drastic measures at times. |
