Thanks a lot my people. We are counting down to 1yr already by God's grace. I couldn't have asked for more. God has truely settled me.

Redeemersave, they've started scattering already. My bb was their first victim. They smashed the screen the very week I resumed work. All mattress in their room and my room is now on the floor due to constant sumersaulting. All na dividend of motherhood.

Inwangobio, u guessed right. This boys have powerful urhobo names that everyone knows them with. This R and B na middle name but most people prefer it cos its easier to pronounce and the 'Oghene' that begins with their native names dey slap Lagosians for tongue.

Iyabeji14, I think it depends on ur Dr's expertise. U can start stimmi in Kad for the first 3-4 days and be in Lag for the remaining stimmi. I also had serious PCOS and with Bridge I was hospitalized (with just 3 bottles per day) for HOSS cos I wasn't scanned till day 10 when it was already too late even with all my pleas and ovarian reserve result. The tendency for PCOS women to be hyperstimulated is there but with constant monitoring, it can be managed especially at the mid-late stages of stimming. PCOS women produce more follicles than normal women who ovulate constantly but it doesn't necessarily mean they produce low quality embies cos my last ivf got me 14 grade A's and Bridge OHSS saga also got me 9AA and AB blastocyte which I was advice to freeze but declined cos I didn't want anythg to take me back there after my experience. Start taking metformin. It helps a lot and also discuss ur fears with ur Dr.

Nene17 and all our newbies, eka bo si ile. Shey I got it? Anyways, welcome onboard. I pray ur stay will be as brief as possible except when u return to give us tips on pregnancy and nursing newborns. God who did those of us who are already celebrating will do urs too. Just be less anxious cos anxiety is the biggest enemy of ttc and try to be in a good frame of mind always. Its difficult but try. It helps.

PM, I thank God for you and ur family. Shame to the devil for rearing its ugly head. Tragedy is not ur portion IJN. Our regards to Madam and our LO.

Subsidy congrats on ur all round testimony o! We go wash am seriously in 9m when the great troup would have arrived.

InwAngobio, I can feel ur pulse from a distance. Am sure u and Madam can't wait to meet the troupe. Its normal. Allow her chop as she likes o, so far there's still enof space to contain food cos na strong generals dey main road dey come so. Congrats Bro!

All, we are fine and in celebration mood as my handsome Dudes turned 6m today. We thank God particularly for keeping them healthy all these months, no health issues, feeding issues, skin wahala etc. They are both very fast as the smaller one is crawling already on his kneels and trying to hold everythg in sight to stand while the bigger one is still crawling on his tummy but can sit very well (no time to waste undecided). They send their love to all the millenium mommies in the house and said I should tell u that more testimonies shall abound on this thread soonest, that all of u still in God's waiting will graduate soon to God's nursery rooms IJN, Amen! Plenty Love, kisses and tiny hugs from Ryan and Bryan.

Yeni, what more can I say that hasnt been said already? Congratulations my Sister. See testimony! The God who started this good work will be faithful to complete it. I wish u a stress free 9m. Congrats once more and thanks for sharing your testimony.

fruitful Ruby, the birth control pills is just to regulate your period to flow at a particular date. Its different from down reg. Its possible the Dr wants to do the ivf in batches and wants everyone to bleed at a particular time or maybe the Dr is trying to make the lady bleed at a particular date when he will be available. The whole aim is to control the onset of your flow.

Redeemersave, as you've been told, that test is essential. Its used to know what you have reserved in your ovaries. An estimate actually. That way, they will know the dosage of FSH you will need to be placed on. Though not all hospital carry out the test. They do it at pathcare and clina-lab

Wonyi, when I hear comments from stupid people, I just ignore them. You know why? If she was the one who was barren for that long, she won't see IVF as a sin. We live in a country where people who are favoured in one way or the other tend to look down on others who are less favoured. I dont know if its illiteracy or poverty that is responsible. You will see women who gave birth naturally condeming you who gave birth through CS that you're not woman enough. My Sister abeg not all graduates are literates so allow her to wallow in her illiteracy because she has a child. Let it happen to her younger sister, she will be the one doing the research on IVF. IVF in itself is not automatic. Most Drs still pray with you after transfer for success. So God who imbibed this knowledge in Drs to help childless couple will continue to see them through with better technology to reduce BFNs. Encourage your stylist to embrace ART if she can afford it cos its this same woman that will describe her as barren who the time comes.

iyabeji14:
I really want to appreciate everybdy in this forum,I have been a silent reader for a very long time and have drawn enough strenght from people experiences and how God eventually brought solutions. TTC is really a very difficult/painfull experience but I tell you once solution comes you will surely forget the past.

I have also fall victim of some insensitive Dortors that leads to waste of money/time,If each one of us shared his/her experience, it will put the Doctors on their toes and It will also make us discover the right places to go and stands to take even when we are presented with options that will not favour us.

For me the next Dr. I will try is Norbert, since you all testify that the guy is good and for economic reasons.

Blendy77 you are doing a great Job in this forum, even after you got your's solution, you did not logout, you still continue to pull others out of the pit of barrenness. God will surely bless you and your family.

For those that have pass through the IVF procedure, did you hire a nurse to inject you or you did it by yourself in the confort of your room. Because I stay in Kaduna coming to Lagos for this treatment means I will need to come back with the Injections. pls enlighten me.

Babes the injections are not difficult to take. the hospital will teach u how to go about it.

hernyhorla: @Blendy, i sent you a mail but it bounced back. How are u and the boys? Sure u are fine.

Just want to appreciate u

kpele my sister. maybe the email addy u used wasnt correct cos i've been receiving emails with it. its ruonar2000@yahoo.com. The boys are doing great. Thks!

tyin: @redeemersave, why don't you explain to us what he did to you? Is it a crime for a doctor to suggest to you all options available for your choice based on your record and financial capacity? I know Dr. Nobert very well and he would never insist nor impose a donor sperm on you or anybody. Let's be careful and sincere of what we say and write abt others so as not to sin against God (slandering) and cause others to commit sin as well. To set the record straight, Regenesis gate is ALWAYS open to all. And Dr. Ekeh performs iui, ivf and icsi based on patient's choice. The donor sperm is an alternative for couple that doesn't mind and ve had failed ivf cycles with male issues. These sperms are donated by some tested and trusted donors (ages 20-35) and not frm the Dr as you insinuated. At Regenesis, IUI is 160k, IVF is 350k (exludes drugs) while ICSI is 450k (excludes drugs).
Do not discourage others frm trying the clinic because you don't want/ like what dr suggested to you.
Pls, let pple that have tried Regenesis bear me witness!

Tyin,I brought it up because peeps need to be aware of his modus operandi so they dont fall victim. I have like 2 of my friends and a relative who had the same experience. Infact, one of them is a nairalander and I"ve asked her to share her experience here. When my Sis in law first visited him, without conducting SFA on the hubby, he already started convincing her about donor sperm and how she doesnt need to spend too much money on ivf or icsi since her tubes are good. She refused and when she eventually visited with her hubby, he still mentioned it even after the SFA result came out and it wasnt that bad. Same with the other nairalander. Infact her own case was just last week hence I decided to put it up. The guy might be good and very cheap but trying to convince women to use donor sperm without their hubby knowing is unethical. And when a patient has refused ur offer and you still bring it up in presence of their spouse is really bad. Some couples might eventually need donor egg or sperm in the cause of their treatment but its up to them to decide. Its not in the place of any Dr to try to convince any gullible woman to use donor especially when their count is not so bad and they have told u they can afford ICSI.
I had to bring it up here because I encouraged a lot of people, friends, colleagues and family to try him because of the price and success rate and if something is wrong, they need to be informed as well so they can take a firm stand when he tries talking them into using donor fluid. If u're very close to the Dr, pls advise him from doing that because he will only end up running down his business. I talk to my Doc when people complain especially about price, so pls do the same if u have his interest at heart.

[quote author=redeemersave]@Blendy, yes ooo, he did that to me ooo. I tell you I was seriously tempted to accept it, when I mean seriously I was, I meant it. I thought and thought until something told me, whatever you do in your marriage outside your hubby's knowledge is sin, I don't want useless confession and restitution later, so I had to prayerfully deliver myself from the thought and I know well hubby won't accept a donor. We are fit for ivf and worst come to worst icsi. Pls help me with how I can get south africa clinic addy, I mailed them but no reply. Have started making savings towards it and in few months I should go for it. I want triplet ooooo, do south africa do transfer of three embryo? Pls give me contact of that clinic. Am afraid to do my icsi with regenesis.

I cant find their contact again in my box. Seems I deleted all their emails after I got my bfp but Moyinoluwa should be able to help out as I was able to link her to a colleague who got her bfp through them. Moyin pls post their contact here for those who need it to get in touch with them.

VENUSS: Ha ha! This isn't good at all. This Doctor needs to repent o.
@reedemersave. Am sure its his akamu o because its so cheap. IMO I think he thinks he is trying to help couples but his doing it so so wrong.
You know, its cases like this that makes some pple scared of going for ivf and co. Cos there are many "what ifs" eg " what if my eggs or sper m is switched with another persons". God is in Control o.
@ blendy and co, pls at what stage in my procedure should I ask for a progesterone test. Though I personally did a lab test on my own and found out my progesterone is very low. So should I jjust tell my clinic about it so that they can up my dose injectable and suppositories or I should have them run another test just befor or after my transfer?

I dont think you need to request personally for a pregesterone test in ur ivf procedure. The fact that u're on busserelin means progesterone must be given to u because every natural hormone in ur body has been put on hold as a result of this drug. Just before ET, a scan will be performed to see how ur endometrium is responding to whatever progesterone u're given and if they feel you need additional supplements, they might decide to add injectables to cyclogests. Though some people respond very well to cyclogests while others dont but its believed the injectables (PIO) are better just more painful since its oil.

redeemersave: Gbam confirmed, I rushed there when I got some informations from here, seeing my hubby's count he advised nothing but a donor, how can? I couldn't tell my hubby cos he will say I wan go collect pesin kpekus. I was convinced its not of God and had to stop going there. At least he has sperm in him, why suggesting donor? He even told me if am ready and don't want to be induced he will just insert the sperm into me and would cost just 15k, that some women do it there n get get bfp in a week. I ran fatser my legs could take me.

With 12million sperm, IUI is even possible in some very good clinics, they will wash the sperm and seperate the most mobile onces from the slow once, the only thing they will collect a very good volume from the man so that the process won't reduce what they need and then insert into the woman what is needed.

He told me of one pesin who got triplet for it. If both couple don't agree I beg, fleeeeee. Better to spend 1m and be happy (when kids resemble your hubby does he need a DNA?), than 450k with kids that doesn't look like the mother or the father and have pains in the end.

Someone here said her hubby was placed on treatment to boost his fluid before the procedure and she got her bfp in fertil aid, abi is that not a clinic? Dr Eke is good from my experience with him but he is not getting it right at alllllll with his donor prefered, abi he is using his akamu for it?

Na wa my Sister. So the Dr did it to u too? Heard he is good but trying to convince patients to use donor when nothing is wrong with their hubby's sperm is where I have issues with him. Why the urge to use donor? A friend of mine ran away from there cos she kept argueing with him that she would prefer to do ICSI than use donor but the Dr kept persuading her to use donor. The man tire me sha because when I heard, I also asked her jokingly if the man is not using his fluid and sowing his seed in people's body all in the name of helping them have children? Cos this donor madness is really frightening.

VENUSS: When I came here today, I saw camrygmails post and also asking about pslam23 the pioneer of this thread. I decided to do a little saerch on pslam23 and I got to read about her divorced in the family section. I wept reading about divorce. I pray God blesses her with her heart desire and give her another chance. Below is a quote from one of her post. So touching. I found myself thinking about her all morning.
"I got a lot of love and prayers on this forum and I
thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
As for my journey to have a child, all i can say is
this, as the sun rises and sets, my heart desire to
be a mother will surely be a reality!
Much love!"

Psalm23 is fine and coping very well. Divorce is not something we pray for but when it happens like it did in her case, we just have to let go and leave the rest to God. God who sees her heart will definitely grant her that which she so desire. All hope is not lost yet.

Meanwhile for those of us who desire to use regenesis hospital, please be very careful and follow your mind. Reports reaching us from my friends who I told to use the place for economic reasons was not so pleasant as its believed the Dr convinces his clients to use donor sperm even with clients who dont have azospermia issues just to improve his BFP records. A friend of mine whose husband had 12million count and 60% motility was being persuaded to use donor sperm by the so called Dr Ekeh. If your hubby"s count is low, ivf/icsi is your best bet or better still TESE if its been ascertain that fluid can be gotten through TESE but dont allow any Dr talk u into using donor fluid when its not an agreement between u and ur hubby because when the wahala will start later, the Dr wont be there to help u. I dont have an issue if the man is aware that he cannot produce viable fluids and agrees with his wife to use donor but when u do it behind his back and he finds out 2moro that the child is not his, he wont even remember u did ivf. So my people, if you're going there, pls follow your mind and if possible repeat ur SFA else where if he claims u need donor due to azospermia issues.

Camry its not been easy but God has been faithful. I was lucky to resume when my babies were close to 5months, just last week. Am not really a fan of daycare for babies who cannot speak yet. Maybe nex year sept when they will be close to 2, will put them in creche. I got an elsderly nanny, a maid and one of my small cousin who just finished junior waec just to put an eye on them. My mum still works and she's already taken her leave to stay with us when I put to bed. You're very blessed to have both your mum and mum in law around o, arent u lucky? Though I close at 2pm and get home around 2.40 so somehow, we've all been coping. my love and kisses to ur lil daughter.

Health / Re: Pleas Help!!! They Said My Babies Are Breech by Blendy77(f): 12:03pm On Jun 20, 2013
Mutty.babe, you've been given all the best advise you can ever get. Gone are the days when people are ashamed of discussing CS. Like you"ve been rightly told, the most important thing is for both u and ur babies to be ok after everything. My case is actually the opposite of urs cos I wanted CS.I ran away from a particular hospital I was referred to by my company because the Dr kept insisting he's not gonna do a CS on me at 37 or 38 weeks. He said I dont need it even though money wasnt the issue since my organization will pay any amount incurred at the end. My both babies were cephalic but I didnt want to take chances of going into labour maybe because I waited 7 years to have a baby. I eventually went to the hospital where I conceived them and paid from my pocket because they have my history and are also willing to help me see my children without any complications. In less than 3 days I was discharged from the hospital after giving birth and in less than 2weeks it was difficult for anyone to believe I did CS cos I was very ok. My Sister rejected CS when she was told her baby was too big at 37weeks. She eventually carried the pregnancy to 41 weeks and went into labour after her water broke. And after 5hrs of labour, the Drs told her her baby was distressed and her only option was a CS and she agreed becos she didnt have a choice then after all the suffer. Eventually, when the baby came out, she weighed 4.8kg. Already looking like a 3m old baby. The only thing they kept saying at the hospital was that she was lucky because scan didnt even pick that size so anythg cod have happened. They knew the baby was big but not up to that size so u can imagine the suffer.
So my Dear, listen to your Drs if the need arise that CS is the only option available to you. All this turning of breech babies to cephalic is very risky and I know you dont want to risk both ur life and that of ur babies. Moreover, there is nothing God cannot do between now and when you will give birth.

Health / Re: I Don't Know How And What To Shop For My Unborn Child by Blendy77(f): 5:02am On Jun 17, 2013
From my own experience, the list they giv u at the hospital contains just what they expect u to bring while coming for delivery. Don't know if other hospital gives u a comprehensive list of everythg the baby needs. What u and wifey should put together for the first 3m after birth:
Body suits (they com in pair of 5-7) 1-2packs is fine if u intend washing every other day
Sleepsuits (pack of 3). 2-3 packs. Try buying unisex colours of bodysuits and sleepsuits so u're not taken unawares.
Bath set
Outfits for going out. (U need like 2-4 for the first few months since outing won't be much at this stage)
Toiletries like soap, oil, lotion, powder, shampoo (avoid johnson if possible for the 1st 1m) u can buy boots or Chicco.
Shawls (2-3) one for staying at home and the other for going out
Caps, mittens and booties/socks
Sterilizing unit and feeding bootles (u cod buy either avent or tummy teepee)
A cot or playpen (not too compulsory if u want ur baby to share beds with u)
Diapers (size 1-2) a carton or 2 should be fine if u're buying huggies
A bouncer/rocker (so ur baby does not get too use to be carried by hands all the time. Not too compulsory though if u're on a tight budget).
Cotton buds and cotton wool.
Olive oil and spirit.
Flask
Maternity bra and br.east pads

Will post more when I remember or other mums in the house can complete whtever I've missed out. Also, u can stroll down with wify to Balogun market on a weekend if u want to cut costs from these expensive baby shops. There's a section where they sell foreign stuff. If u enter from adeniji (just b4 obalende) drive straight till u get to Ojo giwa street (actually the 2nd street on ur right from adeniji). Ending of Ojo giwa street is where they sell foreign stuff. Just accompanied a friend there recently and we discovered the plaza. Foreign Baby things are very cheap there.

Like others have said, knowing the sex b4 delivery is actually not a big deal as scans can disappoint u. I've seen a situation where a colleague was told she was expecting a boy. She even had pictures of the scan showing its a boy. Only for us to pay her a visit the day she delivered and met the poor Chic all wrapped up in blue in her little hospital cot. I have so many other friends with similar experience. All u need in the first few months of delivery is more of body suits and sleep suits, caps and shawls and u cod buy unisex colours like cream, green, brown, grey and yellow. Outfits u may need might not be more than 2 each for immunization and 6weeks check-up and by then u cod get other outfits since u're now sure of their sexes. Same goes for ur baby room, accessories like bath etc. All the best.

ZaraBrown, that's a million $$$$$$ question o! Bridge has one of the best facilities in Naija in terms of ivf. They are very good wt blastocyst transfer. The only issue me I hav wt them is customer relations and also the fact that they don't give discounts to returnee clients except 30k or so.
The decision is entirely urs on whether to reuse them or try a different clinic entirely. Pray about it and let God direct u.

Akintr, I dey jare. Am resuming work on monday after a very long mat leave so this week has been really hectic due to plenty preparatn to ensure everythg is in place b4 I start work.

Venus, bridge also has record of Bfps. Just that most of their clients don't return here to share their testimonies. I know like 3 ladies on NL who got results thru them.

ZaraBrown, it is well. I think u shd try another fresh cycle since FET gave u a bfp. Though it cod hav been chemical preg since u lost it very early even b4 the 6wks scan. If u got a bfp thru FET, u will most likely get preg thru fresh embies that will stay. In all, keep trusting God, He is the giver of babies whether ivf or natural conception.

All, I throway salute o! More BFPs by His grace b4 this month end IJN, Amen!

Avoid going to bed with ur make up on. No matter how tired u are, try washing off all make over on ur face if u can't take a bath. Using mild facial soap and warm water works best for me than cleansers and scrubs. Though depending on ur skin type. Also avoid all this plenty foundation etc they sell in the market. Most of them prevents ur skin from breathing so imagine what happens when u go to bed with foundation on.

For those of us trying to cut cost, I posted this on the cost of ivf thread and tot I shd share it here as well.

Akintr and co, u guys should also look at Regenesis fertility clinic. They seem to be having results there, as lots of BFPs are being announced from that end regularly and to think that ivf is just 450k with them. The last Bfp we got on the ivf thread, Buccacious is from them. Remember also that Believr84 who delivered triplets also got her BFP there with IUI. So for those of us trying to cut cost, pls give this Regenesis a thought. Buccacious is still coming to share her testimony on the ivf thread

Nurika there's nothing God cannot do. There are people who still can't get pregnant even with their billions and ivf. Its God that gives children no matter our effort just that we have to keep doing our best and leave the rest for Him. Are ur tubes patient? Have u been to a Dr to have u checked? Fertility tests can be quite expensive sha but if u can do an hsg to be sure ur tubes are fine and hormonal profile as well then u'll know the next step to take. U can also try LUTH for these tests if u're in Lag. I feel ur pain my Sister but there's really nothing God cannot do. Meanwhile hav u ever tried these local ijaw and urhobo massagers? They are very cheap and lots of peeps are lucky to have result thru them but that is if ur tubes are good. Where are u based? It is well.

Nogen my Sister, our ivf thread is still very much active. I read through all the posts daily when am less busy and comment where necessary. This is a sister thread to that one so posting here once in a while serves same purpose. Moreover people considering ivf need to look at cheaper centers hence the info on regenesis hospital.

Health / Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Blendy77(f): 5:36pm On Jun 02, 2013
Are u also in ph? They've already sent them to me in Lag over the weekend. Send me an email to discuss the price. I've also got fisher price bouncers and play gym abi mat, Gracco twin stroller, designer baby clothes (Calvin Klein, Ralph etc) male/female 0-12m, Chicco lullarby play pen as well. Everythg is new and has not been touched. They were actually things I bought online from the US but my contact didn't ship them on time so I got replacements for most of them when I codn't wait. The container they were in eventually docked at Onne port instead of Lagos hence I was asking the PH lady if she was interested. But send me an email and I'll give u the price. Ruonar2000@yahoo.com
Health / Re: Can Late Marriage/pregnancy Cause Fibroid In Women? by Blendy77(f): 3:10pm On Jun 01, 2013
U go ask Dr google that one o! Drs will tell u early pregnancy and child bearing prevents it to some extent. some people claimed to have had theirs removed with local herbs. Don't know how true and possible this is. Surgery is widely used even though most fibroids grow back if there is no conception within a long time.
