Amen Slushia, I join my faith with us and every moma on this thread. This too sha pass by God's grace! |
Thanks a lot my people. This blessing will go round all of us and we shall look back and smile sheepishly at the devil. @Amazon, hmmmmmmm, that ur question get comma o! What these boys have showed me in just 3 months ehnn! I no wan complain too much. I've contracted 2 nannies, an elderly lady and another middle aged nanny, still, I dey sleep and wake up with headache cos I still have to be there 24/7. My mat leave expires mid next month and I keep wondering how my sleeping pattern will be like in the office then. It is very well sha! |
Today 6th May 2013 marks my 7th wedding anniversary. I'm thanking God specially for granting me the privilege of seeing another year and also making this year's anniversary special by making me a mother. This same day last year was a sunday and I remembered holding hands with my hubby and praying seriously for a miracle this time around in far away Second Baptist Church Houston where we had gone to worship. I was actually on official assignment then and we went together with my ivf drugs. I remembered running out of syringes and no pharmacy wod sell to me so I had to rinse and reuse the already used ones pending our return to naija. I remembered trying to administer my fsh injection inside the toilet of our return flight and somehow I mistakenly stepped on the loaded syringe and everything spilled on the toilet floor so I ended up missing one dose before my next appointment with my Dr. In all of this, God still used this cycle to bless us with 2 boys. I thank this God specially for making me celebrate this anniversary with a smile filled with memories and it is my prayer that all my sisters still in His waiting room will also receive special anniversary gift this Season in Jesus Name. Happy wedding anniversary to my new special family and happy mothers day to all of u my beautiful mummies! |
Pinkydaisy congrats oooo! You must be very heavy by now. How are u and our lil one? Has lo turned now? I read ur posts on the pregnancy thread about the breach position. It is well o! My sisters baby turned on his own at 37weeks when we've all given up on him. There is absolutely nothing God cannot do. @AlwaysTrue, we are fine o, just the stress of taking care of 2 strong men. |
Gimnato kpele! God will surely wipe ur tears and crown all ur effort with success. It is well my Sister |
This thread has suddenly gone quiet. Wetin dey happen my people? It is very well o, God is still in control. I just left the ttc thread where they celebrated 9 bfps this month. Is God not wonderful? See what prayers can do! I thank God on behalf of my 9 sisters who left God's waiting room this month. We are believing God for a 200% increase of that number next month in Jesus name. Pmama! Pmama!! Pmama!!! How many times did I call u? Hmmm, my sister leave sex selection alone and pray to God for baby/babies through ur first attempt at ivf. He knows what's best for u and will give u exactly that which suits u. Let me quickly share the experience of one of my very close friends who had 4 girls. She put herself and hubby under so much pressure over the male child they didn't have and decided to go for ivf/sex selection. Meanwhile the other 4 babies were conceived naturally. This babe paid heavily and I mean heavily for sex selection and 3 embies were transfered. Close to 20weeks she went to check their sexes and its like they all closed their legs or so cos she claimed she didn't see the sex b4 she delivered. My friend then traveled to US to have her male US citizens only to be delivered of triplet, all girls. She has 7 girls as we speak. Initially my friend wanted to sue the clinic that performed the sex selection but I don't know who advised her against it. Me na laugh I just dey laugh cos I no kuku get one that time. My Sisters, fear God o cos He will always take the lead. Science and technology can only try but can never ever take the place of God. Nice weekend my people! |
cow and gate has cereal for 4m. The rice is very good |
Honeybony, really sorry to hear this. I feel ur pain my Sister but God knows best. Take heart. But I was really wondering if your Doc did anythg different this cycle since you've had 2 previous early miscarriages before. He needs to find out what the issue is cos somethg is definitely wrong somewhere so as to avoid a reoccurence. Kpele my Sister! Doydebisi and Zoefavour, congrats my Sisters. The Lord who started this will perfect it to the end. I wish u guys a stress free nine months. Thanks for sharing ur story and encouraging others. |
HurrrrrrayYyyyy!!!! Hebrew congratulations. God is indeed faithful and I join in thanking Him for this special gift. Our love and kisses to your lovely Angel. |
Pikin Mama thanks a bunch and welcome back. How is our Pikin? Our love and kisses to him. Peace5050, God go do am no worry. So far as HE never retire, U go kiss ur sons and daughters soon. I understand how u feel. I've gone thru this path b4, there were times I wondered if I'll ever be a mother because of the plenty issues they said I had but today its a different story so don't worry, u will smile soon. Don't give up. I like ur spirit of standing by ur wife. It shows ur miracle will not tarry. All the best. |
Nogen thanks a lot for this explanation. You couldn't have said it any better. Arisolama, Emeka is very good and different from every other ivf Dr I've come across. Those who have met him or used him can testify to that. I just feel sad when people call me or send me emails concerning failed ivf attempt with him. Especially those people who are not financially ok but saved 1m just to have a baby. It is always difficult for me to console them cos I know most Nlanders went there becos of the good things I've written about this Dr and that is why I'll gladly want people to try other places like SA since the cost is almost the same. Bridge is another good place I'll recommend because of their blast transfer. My only issue with them is customer relationship as they are not so good in managing client relationship. In all, allow God to direct u. If at the end u come out with a bfp at first attempt, thank God, and I'll be here to rejoice with u and if otherwise, thank God for better things to come. |
I didn't say his results are not very bright. Those who are getting bfps are still getting it but a lot of nairalanders got bfn this period that was why I adviced SA if u have the time since the price difference is not much. Ivf is not automatic and it requires a special miracle from God to work. I did 3 with Dr Emeka b4 I got a bfp. So if money is an issue and u can afford 1m-1.2 then u can as well go to SA where u're sure u'll get the best if there's phrase like that.. You can also look at Bridge as they are also good. In all, pray to God for direction because the procedure also comes with its own confusion. |
Peace5050; when u mentioned 900k-1m, I actually tot u were refering to the cost of ivf. My brother spiritual waka as far as am concerned is not for sale. If u can afford to burn 1m, concentrate on ivf and also go for deliverance where its free. I know of mfm and other churches where they conduct deliverance free of charge if u think ur problem is spiritual. Don't use ur money to buy everlasting wahala for urself and family pls. All those pay 500k and u'll deliver in so so months is all scam. They end up giving u a child bought from where I don't know cos they know childless couples are usually desperate and can take anythg. Forget ur neighbor and do the right thing. We've discussed this issue extensively on previous pages of this thread. Gimnato; I'll just advice u relax and concentrate on ur babieS. This 2wks wait comes with a lot of tricks. Its very psychological to feel very pregnant and also to feel as if AF is on its way. All 5 ivf I did, I saw all the signs of pregnacy and was confident it had clicked whereas the 6th one that I was indifferent to due to previous experience was what paid off so my Sister just relax and be praising God. Trust Him for answering ur prayers till u do the test. All the best as I join u in prayers. Abibby is Georges Dr Emekus o! She saw my email address in one of my post and wrote me asking about the clinic, price etc. Funny thg is she's done this same ivf several times abroad, it didn't work so she travelled down and at first attempt here in Naija, she got a bfp. She didn't even stay in naija for the 2ww as she travelled back like 3days after transfer and called me when she tested positive. Yesterday they did scan and she discovered she's pregnant wt twins. This God ehn! I trust she will rectify her email issues soon and come to testify herself. |
I received this email today and thought I should share with us to encourage somebody. When this lady (Mrs X) contacted me after reading our posts on this thread, few months later she travelled down to Naija to have the ivf done and I begged her to share her story on NL just to encourage others. Here's her mail, as u read, join us in thanking God for removing one more woman from His waiting room: Re: am so happy for you Mon, Apr 22, 2013 5:33 AM PDT View full HTML message Mama Twins, How are you, together with the twins? hope the stress is not much? Have been trying to register to nairaland but have not been able due to email problem.Seems I have got loads of different email address for different activities, which I instructed all my systems to remember both the address and the password, and they all have my name or initials attached to it,so opening of another email account has not been easy for me. Anyway,my hubby will soon find time to help me rectify the problem. Meanwhile,it is my Joy to inform you that am now pregnant with twins after years of Childlessness, while I still pray that He who started this good work will perfect it to the end. My love and kind regards to all Nairalanders. Take care of yourself, the twins, their daddy and other members of the family. Lots of Love |
Abibby we are good. Just the stress involved in managing 2 men. E no easy but we thank God cos I can't complain now. Still on Mat leave so managing the stress gradually. @Peace5050, the total cost of doing ivf in South Africa is not so different from what is obtainable here if u have the time including ur air tickets except of course accommodation. If u're looking at burning 1m here in Naija, Capetown fertility centre will charge u like 600-700k for the procedure and drugs, and 200-250 will pay ur both return tickets leaving out accommodation and feeding. I'll forward the cost analysis they sent to me when I considered using them. I think with 1m-1.2m, u're good to go. And the good thg about SA is that freezing of embies is very cheap compared to Naija likewise their success rate, also they will arrange u do all ur tests here and forward the results to them so u don't stay more that 2-3wks in all. Dr Emeka is good but of late most Nlanders have been having BFN so really don't know what to make of it. I know its God that gives but then if there are better and cheaper places where u're sure of a BFP, my brother go for it. Will forward the ivf price package and analysis to ur box later cos I can't access it on my fon now. My love to ur wife and baby dusts to all still in His waiting room. |
Ha Believer, I bless God on ur behalf o, He's just too much. Triplets at 36weeks? waaooooh, u're a strong woman and I thank God for giving u the strength to carry them to term. Congrats Dearie. 3 Chics for only u Am tempted to be jealous o but won't be since my boys prospective wives are increasing by the day. Big hearty congratulations from all of us here. God bless u the Queen, the Princesses and the King real good. So happy for u. |
One of the posters on the ivf thread claimed her tubes were opened after using fellopio. I also read another testimony on the ttc thread from a different poster. Will paste the links one of these days so u can contact these nairalanders directly |
We sincerely appreciate ur presence, love, and gifts at our babies dedication. Am so happy a lot of us who promised to attend turned up. For those that promised but couldn't make it, I can understand the stress we all face in Lag. We shall also celebrate with u all very soon by God's grace. One love! |
Honeybony congrats!!!! I wish u a stressfree 9m. All the best Dear. |
Topal my inlaw! Finally all my sons Chics are beginning to show up. Waaoooo, Topal congrats o!!!!!! |
Hello House, one of us by name Nwabebe just delivered a baby girl. What a perfect Easter gift from God! She's still very strong but I trust she will come here to testify herself when she's better. People, let's bless this God cos more of this testimony will abound amongst us very soon by His grace. I'm just too excited today oooo!!! This God ehn, this God.... |
Hello Omogemi, I've sent the email concerning the dedication. Lots of love and kisses to ur LO. Inwan, hope Madam is better now? My regards. Nogen make sure u return with enof goodies ooo!!! |
If u're o positive or negative or A positive or negative. Baby aspirin helps a lot with stabilizing early pregnancies. Discuss it with ur doc. |
Subzidy I dey feel u big time. Inwangobio, what more can I say that hasn't been said already? I just thank God for ur life. He will perfect that which He has started. My love to Madam. Honeybony, I think all Doc should concentrate more on investigating the miscarriages. Do they give u baby aspirin or other blood thinners during the procedure? Are u rhesus negative and ur hubby is positive? It is well. I pray this one one stays by God's grace. All the best. |
It is well my Sisters! God has not retired yet so keep the faith because He will definitely visit u. Big e-hugs to both of u. |
Pm, this is good news and we thank God. I wish u and madam stress free 9m. Congrats once again and sparkling baby dusts to all |
Tell him u're from me that I said he should give discounts. It has worked for a number of NLanders. Also take ur recent test results so u can dodge the 88k investigation fee. that way u will save at least 100k |
Waoooo! What women go through in this part of the world. Hmmm I can only say believe God that none shall be barren. Always add prayers alongside whatever procedure you decide to use. Ivf is also a miracle in itself and needs lots of prayers to make it work. Well done Sisters, God who sees your pain and tears will crown it up with Success. Talking about Baby dedication, mine comes up on the 7th of April. If u're in Lagos and will like to attend around Ajah area, send me and email, include ur NL name so I can send u an invite. My email add is ruona2000@yahoo.com One love and sparkling baby dusts to all. |
Since u're able to get preg with iui, I don't think u shd waste ur money on ivf becos ur problem is not with getting pregnant but sustaining the pregnancy. U need to investigate why u're not able to sustain a preg maybe insufficient progesterone or blood issues etc and manage it. Is ur rhesus factor negative? Do they giv u cyclogest or PIO after insermination? My clinic also gives blood thinners such as baby aspirin to enhance blood flow between mother and baby for the first 12wks but most people are still able to sustain their pregnancy without aspirin. For u, ivf is really not neccessary since u're able to achieve preg with iui because u might end up having same issues if u don't manage the cause of the miscarriages. All the best Dear and sparkling baby dusts to All |
@Demmykay, don't apply anythg on ur baby's face just let it be and it will disappear same way it appeared. One of my boys had same rashes at 3wks and I almost went crazy thinking he was reacting to something or maybe it was heat rashes. When I eventually met a ped, she asked me to use sudocream and it became really worst as it extended to his neck as well so I started researching it online and discovered from foreign sites that its an hormonal problem that clears on its own. So I stopped the sudocream and the rash cleared up in 3 days. U can google rashes on babies face and u'll see several write up on it. Keep using the ori and his bathing soap only |
The pictures are still there o, I haven't taken them off yet. Maybe ur fon is not displaying it. |
Lots of people who have fibroid have been able to remove them through operation and went ahead to have babies normally. What's the guarantee that if u divorce this one, the next one u will marry without fibroids will bear u children within a short time? Its God that gives. There are men who married virgins without any other health issues and still don't have kids. If u love this woman in question, stand by her. Take her to a good clinic to have the fibroid remmoved and God who sees your heart will bless u with children. |
