The Cross is no good because it is meant for people who are convicted to die for their wrong doings. Those who hang on it are accursed by God.

You and I cannot hang there to die and atone for our sins, that is why christ died for our sake and he became accursed.

That a pastor went to prison does not make prison a good place to go.

Most of us accept practices from our churches without inquiring into its origin. We tend to carry on with a practice because we feel it bring results, and careless if it transgress the law of the spirit of God. Many wrong things are been done in the name of Christ but those who follow the footsteps of Christ should carefully decipher them.

Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.' 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

The Cross is a symbol of curse.
Deuteronomy 21:22-23
22 “If someone has committed a crime worthy of death and is executed and hung on a tree, 23 the body must not remain hanging from the tree overnight. You must bury the body that same day, for anyone who is hung is cursed in the sight of God. In this way, you will prevent the defilement of the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession.

Galatians 3:13
13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”

The Cross is not something good in the sight of God, it is meant for those to be put to death, and those who are executed on it are cursed in the sight of God. To avoid defiling the land, such a person must be buried the same day and must not be left hanging on it overnight.[/color=#006600]

This is the same with the case of Christ. Therefore it is an affront to God and a systematic disobedience to His commandment to always depict Christ His son as always accursed (ie always hanging on the Cross), even when he is no longer hanging on a cross(tree) in heaven.

Christ bore our curse once and for all and it all ended that day when he was brought down and buried, Jn 19:31.

The Catholics and other churches who keep, kneel and bow to a cursed image (cross) made of wood and stone should know by now why God strongly condemn the use of images to worship Him. Such a thing is pure idol worship. The Father is pleased with those who worship Him spirit and in truth, Jn 4:22-24.

You don't need to wait for Rome or your G.O to tell you to follow the truth before you do so. Our loyalty is to God, not man.

This goes a long way to show that the Catholics are really confused and are just helpless to accept the truth. They have been tested and trusted in this regard. 3. What is the message of the cross? Is the message about how to design, kneel and bow before a man-made cross?

1. Jesus said he is God's son (the son of God).
2. Both Jesus and and the Jews are saying the same thing in vs 35, 34 and 33 (no misunderstanding).
3. Saying you are God's son implies you are a god, vs 35, 34, 33.

If gods should start a sentence it will definitely be written as 'Gods.' Nobody own the word 'God,' it is just like having 'Almighty' and 'almighty.' Same word,, same meaning. What we have is the God of Gods, this One is the God of all. He has no God and He is the Father.

I, and I believe most Nigerians have been waiting for a program that will give start-ups, businesses grants to start and carry on with their businesses and create jobs. Until recently, this present administration made it possible for graduates and start-up businesses to access the CBN MSME N220 billion loan. I reasoned that the offer is somehow good but I might not be able to diversify and expand in a short period due to payback and because my biz plan is capital intensive, as well as the expansion plan.

When I got to CBN to make more enquiries, I was told that I can only access N500,000 by depositing my certificate and BVN. But since my business plan is capital intensive, I must have landed property in a good location(not village land o).

I became very weak on hearing this because I don't have any landed property. I was thinking so many things and at the same time smiling with the CBN guy, he was just friendly. But what can N500,000 do for an agri-biz start-up (especially agro processing) without land, regular water supply, electricity, etc? And again you must payback within one year. This offer might be good for existing businesses and traders not for most start-ups. This MSME program might not really help much in creating the needed jobs. SMEs also concurred to this in this recent article.

We all know that YOUWIN really helped a lot of people with capital intensive projects achieve their dreams. So am pleading with Mr President, the ministers, senators and our reps to look in this direction and help us achieve our dreams. Yesterday on this forum I read how a church bought sorrow to the life of a to-be couple by turning down their wedding even after people have been seated inside the church. A lot of churches nowadays will not give their nod to marriages because the wife to-be is already pregnant. 1. Church wedding is unchristian and unbiblical: Go through the bible and see for yourself. The weddings take place according to traditional belief. From this, traditional wedding is the acceptable wedding according to the bible.

2. These churches won't test for your virginity but will test for pregnancy. The result is that dos who have constant sexual intercourse but are smart enough not to get pregnant and those who have been severally pregnant but have done abortion are free to get married in the church. This is injustice by the church.

3. Lord don't despise sinners : Jesus throughout his life on earth is always seen amongst sinners. Remember the parable of the lost coin and the parable of the lost sheep. He said he came because of them. He will never turn them back. Okay, but the church will refuse to join the to-be couple together because they have sinned (she has indulge in pre marital sex). When you turn them down from the church, where do you expect them to go? A lot has since been discouraged from the church because of this.

4. Why do marriages still crash even after the wedding took place in the church? Why do even pastors wedding crash? Getting the "pastor's blessings" do not in any way guarantee your success in marriage. You don't necessarily need it.

5. I know some pastor and churches have turn the church wedding to money making venture. If you hear what they collect to make the church wedding happen in their church, una go fear fear. They ask for this and that before the wedding,but then, how much do they pay for salvation?
Conclusion: A traditional marriage is what actually makes you husband and wife. While there's nothing really wrong about with church marriage, it is actually avoidable. You aren't committing any sin by doing only traditional wedding.

NB: While these are my person opinions, I am open to criticism.

You have said our mindS. I see no church wedding in the scripture, I only saw traditional weddings.

Those man-made cement men with different face cannot be our Lord Jesus who is but one person. True worshipper(true Christians) worship God in spirit and in truth, Jn 4:23-24.
