Sir, this is because you are only interested in the goods. Do you go as far as prosecuting the perpetrators? Do you consider closing their business since they are only interested in short-changing the government and disrupting the economy. Do you publicize their information for all Nigerians to see?

Sir, if you are not doing all these, then smuggling would continue to be lucrative. For now the consequences for smuggling is lower than the benefits.

Tho FRZ's endless attacks on Pastors is kinda nauseating,
I must admit the points listed above are indeed SOLID points

Kudos Frz
Whilst I understand your view, I think it is necessary. There is need to hold many of these pastors to morality test. Many of them have abuse their office with the influence they have and it appears there is no watchdog over their activities. When the Financial Regulatory Authority decided to put in place corporate governance in religion; religious bigots in Nigeria screamed foul and the head of the organization was sacked.

These pastors need to understand that their every actions and utterances are now being reviewed by the general public, spearheaded by Daddy Freeze.

you are one of the very few sensible people in nairaland.

anyway I don't believe the pastors claims, pastors can configure any story these days to appear more powerful and be more appealing to prospective members.
I thought I was the only one thinking in this light. I don’t believe the pastor’s claim, he is trying to build his reputation. We have many ignorant pastors in this country and I don’t think the letter is authentic. If he had gone to destroy a shrine, another man’s private property, he has committed a crime and should be in jail.

I also think that the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity should begin to sue these Christian hooligans for using their name in disrepute. The methods and strategies employed by these pastopreneurs in order to garner members are unorthodox.

Good morning great people... I've learnt a lot from this forum with regards to Canada EE.. right now I'm at the point of submitting my documents for ITA. for the POF I have usd 19,000.00 ( i has to convert almost all my funds when USD was climbing up during the exchange rate volatility). Can I use the fixed deposit letter for my USD as the POF.. converting it to Canadian dollars is about $24,000.00 which is higher than the requirements for 4 people. Kindly advice
This is a lovely POF - leave it the way it is. Just explain you converted your funds to USD due to currency fluctuations. In fact it indicates you are not going to spend the money. You are good to go

Only tithing secures your destiny.

I thought the destiny of Christians is to make heaven or has the destiny changed? It appears like the objective of Christians has changed or the heaven is now on earth and securing it is via tithe.

Christians should go and study their religion very well because these days, there are so many charlatans out in the streets

Hello guys,

Please I'm new here and really need your advice. I intend applying for this express entry program, but wanted to find out if US visa denials affect one's chances of securing the Canadian immigrant visa and PR. I've been refused a US visit visa twice now, and after the second US visa interview, the consular officer said to me "you wouldn't be going to the US in a loooonngg time", and then passed me the normal 214b blue visa denial document. Please does anyone know about the effects of US Visa denials on the express entry application so I can know what step to take next?

Many thanks!
Hmm there is no harm in trying. However, your application will be highly scrunitzied. Just indicate you have been denied a visa and state the reasons why you were denied a visa. I read somewhere where your friend applied for a diversity visa for you. I think you need to play around words when you are explaining, because stating that your friend used a different country to apply is not a substantial reason. Even me don’t believe your story.

Anyways I wish you all the best of luck. Give it a shot.

Unfortunately that's not the situation/reason for the Euro bond sold by Fg. They raised money to finance the 2017 budget. Yes we all know a year budget could run into the first quarter of the next year but can we sincerely say this is the case with Nigeria? This is the 3rd eurobond this year and we still have sukuk bond which we don't know the full details of repayment with the holders
2017 is over. What aspect of 2017 budget do they intend to fund
Business › Re: Nigeria Sells $3 Billion Eurobonds - Largest Ever. by Boss13: 7:27am On Nov 22, 2017
BanevsJoker:
I may not know a lot about Economics, but common sense would suggest that it is utter foolishness to borrow money to pay off debts. This only means that in 10 years, the FG will again borrow to pay off these bonds. The painful thing about Nigeria is not the current situation, it's the strong indication that it will only get worse with this Government at the helm.
You are actually saying the truth. The Government has borrowed to refinance its local debt and spend on 2018 budget. Don’t forget that 70% of our budget expenditures are recurrent items and hence the government borrowed $3bn to spend on recurrent expenditures and to pay off loans. Which means in 10 years time when this bond is due for repayment and after paying interest, the present government will have to go source for money to pay off this loan. The same for the 30 year issuance.

However, the present administration that made this decision would be far gone or some of them dead by that time. Nigeria is in trouble.

One question- what is Euro bond? undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided

Someone pls explain this thing undecided
Good question - First, a bond is a loan/debt certificate issued by a borrower to raise finance for their use. There are different kind of bond issuance and Eurobond is an international bond or debt. It is an unsecured debt, that is you do not need to provide collateral and it can only be raised by companies with good reputation- that is companies with good credit ratings. Some countries also go to the Euromarket (this is where Eurobonds are raised) to raise debt. The difference between an Eurobond and a Local Bond market is that you are raising debt finance in a currency (dollars) other than your local currency (Naira).

When they beat him and robbed him in Eko Hotel and Suites, they made a big mistake. The incidence could tarnish the name of the hotel, that is why the owners of the hotel are going to make sure the culprits are dealt with.

Mr 2kay currently has a lawsuit against the hotel... so it is not about how much money he has.
I am really surprised. There is a lot of bad reputation attached to Eko Hotel & Suites for this. As a guest, you expect a certain level of safety and security. You do not expect armed robbers coming into your hotel room, claiming to be staff of the hotel, beating and stealing your stuff.

It shows that there is some sort of security lapses in Eko Hotel & Suites.

I think Burna Boy is surrounded by the wrong set of people. Talented, yes he is, but perception is important. His music was on the airwave yesterday and I was less interested in listening to it.

He may be wondering why he isn’t receiving wide recognition and acceptance, probably it maybe because of the negative attention he is drawing to himself. He should focus on his career, which is his job and forget about making the news on issues other than music.

He also should not forget to dissociate himself from the people around him. Certainly, their advice and services are not really propelling him upwards.

Whoever wrote this is ridiculous and immatured. Little wonder young adults live their lives on social media. When has Instagram being a measure of a good marriage? They may have disagreements which is very normal in marriages and in fact, families. However, when a publication or article is based on mere speculations, then the writer and his/her editor need to re-examine themselves and their mentality.

Why don’t you go and ask them directly and in fact what is your interest if they are having marital issues?

The New Testament Saints is also a Jew by faith. We are the faith seed of Abraham.

Romans 2:28-29
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
First I will ask you - How old you are? Many Christians do not literally understand their religion. They just go about ranting stuff. Do you know who a Jew is? Please challenge yourself to understand the history of Christianity. Jews are not Christians. In fact a Jewish man maybe annoyed with you if you label him that.

There are a lot of things some Christians do not understand and I don’t blame them. Many were born into it and had no opportunity to explore anything outside the religion. Their pastors too either deliberately choose not to let them know or proceed blindly with their own interpretation.

Go and thorough learn about Christianity - your findings would shock you
Foreign Affairs › Re: Robert Mugabe On Hunger Strike; Refuses To Eat For 2 Days; Vows To Die by Boss13: 3:09pm On Nov 19, 2017
I don’t know that a 90 year old man still has any ego left. I strongly think Mugabe should take the resignation offer and step down so that he can still gain the privileges accrued to him as an elder statesman. Impeachment devoids him of such privileges.

Constitutionally he still remains the president but he has lost a lot of goodwill internationally, that’s why the international community is not responding to the situation in Zimbabwe. To them it means good riddance to bad rubbish. I also think the military is handling the situation very well. Still giving Mugabe his due respect as the president.

Mugabe must drop his ego and negotiate effectively for his resignation. He must consider the safety of his wife and family in his negotiation terms else upon his death, there may be reprisal attacks on his family.

Also, is this news inferring that Niger state have no scholarship programme for less privileged residents? If I am the governor of Niger state, I will be issuing a query to the CoS to explain his motive and source of income. Except if the governor and CoS think alike.

Tidy your application. Even if you end up in London, you are rest assured that your documents are ok.

From statistics, Visa denial (basically US and UK Visa denials for Nigerians, Pakistanis and Dubai residents), long contractual involvements with UK entities such as institutions or organizations. In my own opinion, suspicious documents that require further review from Nigeria, Pakistanis and Dubai residents.

Why I say in my own opinion, I do not intend to annoy anybody. However, from the batches of ADRs sent by LVO you can see the link.

Gurus in the house,

I have not written exam yet, this is scheduled before end of the month, However my question God willing, I do get a good score and create a profile,
1.Does the profile information require POF at that application point because I intend to see the outcome of the result first before pulling all resources together to raise 6.3M for family of four.
2. How can someone demonstrate 6 months history for Bank statement if he only plans to get the cash after outcome of exam. Though my thought is that perhaps fixed deposit up to the tune of 6.3M will suffice post submission of profile. The fixed deposit will be done all after God willing ITA received.

Advise please
From what I can interprete from your post, you are still deciding on immigrating to Canada because you want to wait for the outcome of your result. First, you have to decided that this is what you want and there is no going back. At this point, it is important you gather the financial resources because once your IELTS turns out good, you would be getting your ITA with only 3 months left to submit.

If you can get the cash now, please do. Don’t wait for the outcome of your result. You can do a 6 months Tbills.

Good luck

Boss13, Hamiltondreamer, Kontagious, Prideandjoy, Linuslynx and others who responded thanks a lot I really appreciate it.

Leaving POF for a family of two earning the horrible fixed deposit isn't a financially wise decision looking at the inflation rate and other investment opportunities. I don't have anything to hide so I will go ahead and buy the T-bills if I do not get a response soon. I will just ensure that I have proper documentation and I write a proper LOE IF I get ADR for updated POF. I have thought about it all day and it will be unreasonable for the VO to penalise me for changing the form of my savings because I want to earn higher interest especially as the volume of savings will not reduce.

Thanks a lot guys.
I salute your decision. Investment-wise, it is sound. In my opinion, as long as there is a trail of the money outflow from fixed deposit to Tbills, I think, then you are fine. In fact, you may not get ADR. It is very possible.

I wish you the best of luck. If you are not yet in the WhatsApp group for LVO, try to join. If you are then that’s alright.
