What payment? Please I would advise you make the payment yourself or be close to the person making the payment. Don't contact anybody abroad to make payment for you. So many wire fraud these days. Don't complicate your issue.

Nah Medicals is actually a simple step and conducted independently by Healthcanada. This just to interpret the medical tests conducted by panel doctors. Recall it has been uploaded. I think (my opinion), the number of applications maybe the reason for the delay. Also R10 - document checks is carried out during this period.

To answer, I think it's between 1 - 3 months and depends. Security check is usually the longest of them all.

Happy Sunday people. My statements are extremely heavy and compressing is not reducing it to the desired size. Pls what can i do. Hubby and i are using a joint acct mainly for savings and also our personal accts to show them the source of our funds....the personal accounts also have some of our POF in them. There are various ways of compressing scanned documents. First, you reduce the resolution when scanning. The disadvantage is that the document may not be clear based on the resolution used.

There are other free applications that you can used to compress PDF - ilovepdf.com - the disadvantage is that the compressed file may not be opened and that is automatic rejection due to incomplete documentation.

Or you can move your funds in other accounts into a single account - possibly the joint account and submit single sheet statements for these account to show build up and consequent transfer into the joint account. Support this with LOE explaining why you moved these funds and also the reason you submitted single sheet statement of account for the other bank accounts.

These Banks you mentioned all give reference letter. In fact all Banks give reference letter as long as you specify it is for immigration purpose.

For your letter of consent for your wife to use POF - no need for that as long as you are an accompanying spouse. Your marriage certificate proves spousal relationship. I know this issue has led to previous arguments in the past, but I'm 100 percent certain now that you can submit spouse bank account statement as POF and also 25% of Pension is now being calculated for Nigerians as POF.

No. There is eligibility hurdle and background checks - The background checks involves confirming your assertions and also includes criminal and security checks.

Please let her get a job first and gain experience. She is a pharmacist and a fresh graduate and I doubt if NYSC would post her to a pharmaceutical company. She may be lucky. However, she should get a job, gain 1 year experience and then apply. The experience is actually good for her. It's not about immigrating. Remember she would be living there too and also compete for jobs. With no experience, she then has to work very hard or move to another industry

DO NOT withhold info from cic cos it will backfire, if u get married before ppr inform them immediately, waiting till after ppr can lead to withdrawal of your visa cos ur wedding date will show u got married before the issuance of the visa.

This I know cos it happened to someone.

If u want to include after ppr, wait till u get the mail then u can fix ur wedding at a later date, goodluck!!!

Thanks for the response. Immigration is an important process and should be properly planned. I believe the poster knew he was going to get married soon, but decided to proceed with the application. Maybe he thought of just giving it a trial. This is a wrong approach.

Marriage is also very important and if you intend to immigrate, please inform your future partner. They may or may not like the idea. This is to ensure proper planning. If he proceeds without his spouse, it takes 6 months for spouse sponsorship and that's another process, additional money and even not definite if they are issues.

If an applicant knows that he would be getting married shortly, please delay applying. Get married and start your application. There is this notion that single applicants get more CRS than married applicants and some Indians are trying to disguise their marriage or marriage plans - this is misrepresentation.

Canada is still going to take qualified immigrants in the future, as long as you are a qualifying immigrant, you stand a chance. Don't join the rush bandwagon and complicate your application.

I repeat again. This is risky and you cannot see the document he has uploaded. For someone who cannot scan and send his document to you, what is the probability of him uploading the same document and what is the difference between sending his document via email and him logging in with your details, reviewing your application and then uploading his document.

That's a huge risk you are taking. If he is not going to give you the document, let him be. If he cannot trust you with his document, why would you trust him with your own application. Just my thoughts

I think we have a lot of ignorant people in the country. The EFCC will not act because there is no petition against him. Hence, he has not committed a crime yet. However, in his case, I think if we do have a strong tax enforcement team - yes, those are the agent that should go after him for displaying his wealth and yet pay no taxes. On the other hand, he is not the only one displaying wealth on social media. Many of us are culprits, we display our newly acquired assets, regardless of size, on social media forum too. Hence, I do not understand the reason why people are mad about Huspupu situation, except Jealousy.

What is ironic about this is that the community does not know how many members the dreaded cult group are, what they look like, their age range and how they operate. No issue. At that point she is a permanent resident. People with pre-existing condition should not be excluded from treatment. I even think Canada is good for her because they are testing stem cells for sickle cell anemia

I was in a similar situation before we eventually submitted. Firstly, understand that people have different risk appetite and in our own case the person said he can't risk all they have worked for in Canada by sending us a copy of his PR card, he said he is scared of it being intercepted and used for fraudulent activity.. We were not his concern but rather the insecurity that comes with sending such a document via internet.

Here is what we eventually did, we sent him the copy of our own proof of relationship and told him to merge with his, of course sent him the details required. After which we sent him our login details so he could upload directly from his end and we submitted the next day. Of course u can always change ur password afterwards.. Dont forget that once a document is uploaded, u can't view same document on the CIC platform so that takes care of the persons fear.


If you offer your relative this suggestion and he still insists he won't upload, then let him be, just do an LOE. Please dont let that affect ur relationship with him though and don't take it personal, its his legal document and he has the duty of care.

Dont waste ur time abusing the person cos u may also feel reluctant when u get there and understand how people can clone PR cards.

Madam, this is very dangerous because you don't know what your relative has uploaded. It is your application and all documents being uploaded should be reviewed by you. You can only hope that he uploaded the document he claimed to upload and there would be no issue. Yes, PR card is a sensitive document, but he doesn't need to upload that.

Please don't edit your EE profile. Fortunately, you did not claim point for this sibling. I hope he resides legally in Canada. If he does, I don't understand why he changed his mind. He doesn't need to upload his PR card. His utility bill plus proof of relationship to your husband is sufficient. Another reason why you should not edit it, is because during background checks, they may find out that you have a relative in canada and you did not declare as such, this would result to suspicion. Proceed with your application and if he still refuses, indicate in your LOE, that he initially agreed, but later changed his mind.

The test doesn't involve screening genotype. Don't open your mouth to complicate issues. When they ask, you say I can't really remember. It's being a while I checked. Do your test and leave.

After paying him #70,000 to pay WES fee of CAD 234 (Higher than parallel market rate) . This is what I got this evening.

Sorry about your issue. Don't give up. Police clearance certificates are valid for 1 year, though it's valid for 3 months here in Nigeria. For other documents, except there is a wide time difference to the date you intend to submit, I don't think there may be need to get fresh documents. Remember your documents have already been reviewed, just your passport that was the issue. Which you have the opportunity to correct now

I have been denied Canada visa twice before my husband got ITA, infact the second application was still in progress while we submitted our PR application and I got refused along the line I ordered My gcm notes to know reason for refusal. Gcm notes pointed insufficient funds mainly as reason for refusal and ties. Am just disturbed does the past refusal have anything to do with the current PR application in anyway? Your husband's PR application will be treated independently. However, your husband must indicate that you have been refused visa twice and state the type of visa and the reason for refusal, else it would be termed as misrepresentation and outright ban of 5 years.

The problem is not WES, but from your Institution - maybe there is no record of your credentials with them. What WES do is contact the Institution to confirm if the certificate and transcript are original and when the institution indicate otherwise, then it is termed as a forgery. So visit your school and confirm the authenticity of your results.

Since CIC states that the funds in the POF must not be borrowed, how do they ensure this, do they check credit history of the applicants or accompanying spouse or BVN checks of bank accounts to see if there is any loan being serviced anywhere?

Let me say for instance a spouse who is not the PA took a loan just before they submitted their application and the loan is for a business venture and in another bank account and not connected to the funds in the bank account (joint account of both PA and spouse with sufficient proof of source of funds) being presented to CIC.

Will this be checked and can it cause a refusal of the application?

No it won't. CIC will only confirm balance of the bank statement you provided to them. They don't do credit checks. Since the loan do not reflect in the statement of account submitted to them, then there is no need to worry.

Wow - this is a huge one. Your wife may decide not to claim points for your education. Her score seems sufficient to get ITA, but we don't know what the new draw will be like. However, I am more concerned about the future when you finally immigrate. Employers in Canada still request for WES evaluation and since you may not get this, it may be tough to get a good job.

I will also like further opinion on this.
