OP had a choice and could have stuck to the same DOB. Atleast s/he came out and rectified with new passport but wants to know the way forward. Yes it complicates things from DOB, arrangement of names, missing letters etc but You can't really fault how some parents did things back then. Once the damage is done, they usually tend to stick with it (not sure why). Most parents are now enlightened and understand countries keep a unified system to avoid these kind of complications. These days we all have eforms/edocuments we keep on some drive or cloud storage which we can always refer to. Solatium: You are not mandated to fills form off hand, things like these are allowed to be verified by using an original document for clarification. Why do you think people are usually allowed to go with a firm and submit after you are done with it? why do you think people allowed to fill online form at their convenience? the mistakes in DOB or Misspelt of name has several dimensions.
1..If the i was supposed to type letter F on the keyboard but erroneously typed G i could be forgiven because of the proximity of the letters to each other,.
2...If The filled DoB by the Dad is 11-09-2000 and you turned up to say your new DoB is 20-10-1995 My brother how do you justify such? Most time's these cases are much more complicated,if you go before a document examiners or an interviewer and tell them you can't remember your date of birth they will just be viewing you as a LIAR |

You are quick to judge here. You will be surprised how many dads back in days (and possibly now self) forgets their own kids DOB giselle237: @laurendee Please dnt keep anything outside this story. If you need help, best to say the truth. How is it possible that your own father will make a mistake with your own DOB? How is it possible? Not uncle, not aunty, not extended family… father… |

A UK ban doesn't mean a ban on other countries. No harm in applying to other countries but her background, circumstances and intentions will be put into consideration. Applicants with 5 yr Canadian ban on this thread have gotten UK visas with no issues. All the best to your friend perestroika19: Will the ban not affect her application to other countries? Though I told her to apply to other countries but she's sceptical the ban might affect her chances and she was even told not to apply to another country as it would complicate her issues. I know this isn't true especially if she doesn't conceal her ban but I need to still confirm from gurus.
My advice to people here is that NEVER entrust your life in to the hands of agents who only care about money and the next customer/victim. They won't be there when the repercussions come. Admissions forfeited, PLAB exams forfeited just because of a dishonest agent. |

Unfortunately No.. Serve her sentence then apply or apply to other countries. The latter is a better option perestroika19: Hello house. Can a 10 years ban due to misrepresentation be appealed? The ban was due to an agent altering the applicant's statement of account without informing her. The agent actually hid the ban and only told her about rejection for a visit visa. She only got to know about the ban when she applied for study visa after paying her full tuition. If this can be appealed, how will she go about it? Thanks |

Whether she gets the loan or not, has payback plans or not -- has nothing to do with me . I'm just highlighting the fact that it's not public funds advanceDNA: If the person is not in the uk...then good luck they him or her getting the loan...dont have payback plans?? I don't think she's in the UK. Even if she is, loans handled by private financial institutions don't fall under public funds in anyway. advanceDNA: Rough play if you are on tier 4 visa... Very rough play...
Besides....its on your visa pasted on your passport that you are not entitled to public funds....please read it....unless u are not a student visa
The people you see applying for loans are either non Nigerian students or nigerians on another visa...they are probably citizens or people with indefinite leave to remain status...
People pay back loans by monthly instalments with a job....if you already have a job...u dont need a loan to survive....
if you need it to pay your tuition balance....thats rough play ooooo plus witchcraft oooo, because you have showed proof of funds that you have your full tuition before visa was granted.......
Abeg no let UKVI change POF requirement from 28days to 180days like canada....we all beg you |

I don't think being refused is part of CAS form when filling in applicant's details by unis. Academic progression came into law and one of the main reasons universities ask previous visa details is to determine if a student can show that their course represents progression from any previous course they have or had studied in the UK. Another reason is to protect their license as the number of student refusal can impact their license. The Visa refusal rate if high will flag up and they also go through UKVI audit about their processes and procedures to see if they've been compliant. They view these refusal details and then use that to determine whether applicant will have a straight forward application for a visa. I personally don't think it has any implication but what I don't understand is being insincere in one's application and then dey run kiti kiti dey run kata kata asking for people's opinion duchess90: Hello
The implications are endless but let me give you one example as a scenario.
You hide your visa refusal for instance from your Uni and pay your deposit say £5000
Your Uni request and submit your CAS details to UKVI, part of the questions is on refusal and your UNI responds No.
You get your CAS and submit your visa application and then declare your refusal so you say Yes
The visa officer spots this and refuses your visa amongst other things, you go back to the Uni and request refund do you think they should refund your deposit?
Declaring your refusal paints a clear picture of your travel/immigration history and ensures the details they have on their end matches yours. It naturally shouldn't affect their decision to grant you admission unless on severe cases for instance ban.
And yes this scenario has happened before.
Cheers |

1. What's the point of starting all over again when you can get a direct master's programme 2. 'Very good course' is broad. Research or go for what you've always planned to do 3. Leg or connection no reach here. Check all universities and apply yourself. It's either you meet up with their requirements or you don't 4. You said you've followed every single post. CAS shouldn't be new to you 5. Yes there are installment process for some unis but looks easy on paper but can be different in reality. Either get most of the funds or get a loan 6. I'm not saying he shouldn't assist but if he does, do things on your own terms. JamesHanu: Good morning to everyone on this forum.. I’ve been a silent reader since 2019 and I always follow every single post that’s been posted on here.. but right now I need an advise and also a quick response from y’all.
So this is what actually happened. So there’s this brother that stays close to us in Lagos that moved to Germany early last year and he’s currently in the UK. So last week I received a call from my mom saying she already spoke to this brother wanting me to move to the uk mind you I’m in my Finals(HND)..
Now here’s the thing I already gathered a lot of information on here so I’m much familiar with the study route to the uk. And during our discussion conversations everything he’s saying 75% of it are what I gained on here which I’ll be listing out so the guru here can help me out cos I don’t want my mom to fall for any fraud or waste her money smhw.
1.He talks about schools in the uk not really accepting HND students for masters (not all schools). So he advised I start all over again..
2. He advised I go for a very good course in terms of job in future.
3.He said he can only assist with 4 university University of Huddersfield, Kingston university, University of Wolverhampton and Leeds international Centre.. those are the four options he gave concerning the university.
4.He talked about CAS but I would like someone on here to enlighten me more about CAS things to do before it’s issued.
5. Now here’s the main thing.. during our conversation I told him studying in the uk is quite expensive but he’s saying one can pay his/her tuition fee in installment process..
6. But here is my main concern I told him I don’t think my mom can come up with POF at the moment but he insisted on helping out. I asked him how? This bro said he’s going to put the funds in my account blah blah. Though he said I have to pay the part payment of my school fees into the school account maybe 4k which I asked stylishly if I can pay myself he said sure..
But my main concern is about the POF please someone just help me out probably if they’re some things I still need to ask him.. cos my mom has been disturbing me about my response but I needed to be sure if this bro is real about the whole thing before anything. Though a scam will always sound real. |

So what conditions are attached? List them make we see .. . These same 'conditions' are the requirements they say you have to meet up to be eligible for PSW. 20 hrs is not the only breach of immigration laws so I wasn't even thinking about this Solatium: Point me where it was stated that you are entitled to PSW after your study? Condition's are always attached and if you think breaching 20hr a week is the only thing that can stand between you and PSW then you are dreaming. Nothing,i mean nothing is cast in concrete, immigration rule's are evolving |
