The number was showing as HSBC My husband didn't give any pin or code. Cut the phone and called HSBC directly .

Turns out someone had used his account . Applied for a 10k loan( no clue how HSBC even allowed the loan to go through. So that first call from them FRAUDSTERS trying to pull the money out

HSBC stopped it all after my hubby spoke directly with them and the loan was returned as it disappeared from his account but Hsbc refused to tell us exactly what happened. How was someone able to take a loan in his name without his authorisation. Was it a staff of HSBC that was part of the scheme. We never know

But if you get a call from the bank asking for this and that. Best to cut that call and call the bank directly . Dont even call the number that called u. It might be a fradualent person claiming to be from the bank. My husband looks back and said there was something off about the TV licence site. They asked him more details than required but he wasn't paying attention at that time so he thinks that was when they grabbed all the info. the TV licence wasn't paid by the next week because it was a fake site . That another indication that the fraud came from there

My worry now is that someone told me there might be some implications at the visa stage as I might be required to explain why am going for a second masters.

If u have LG or Samsung TV u can download an app called smart iptv on it and then find vendors that will load the channels for you. It ranges from £25-£60/year depending on the quality of channels and how well u can search for bargains

Interesting thing about most vendors is they give btw 12-24hrs free trial (but NOT on match days). Vendors are all over Facebook market place, eBay and even ali . Most vendors have telegram groups to communicate streaming channels, updates and to report issues. Each vendor have their own area of interest, some it’s movies, for some it’s live sports, while some do everything. My vendor does everything Infact they just added African magic Yoruba and almost all DSTV channels especially the sport ones.

Another option is the Amazon firestick, you can buy it from Argos or Amazon and watch a YouTube video to jailbreak it (very simple and straight forward) this will enable you download streaming apps on it. Then find a vendor to load channels. You might need VPN to improve streaming quality and to change location for obvious reasons

An advantage of the firestick is that u can detach from tv and take with u when u are going away from home . Otherwise the smart iptv app too is fine.

If you read back, lots of applicants have used naija bank statements applying from other foreign countries and I've personally done so as well.

Apply from China. The bolded is incorrect.

The idea is any bank statement you submit must be regulated by that country and in this case, it's cbn.

Yes declare. Approval depends on the refusal. If minor as long as you meet the requirements, he will be fine.

My advise is to write them back to clarify if you will be informed when a decision is made concerning your application. Because they can decide today and in 1 week you get your money.

It basically says you are switching from one visa to another. If it was T4 to PSW and never graduate, the requirements wouldn't have been met.

Apology or not, the ban stands and wouldn't make any difference. Just get UK off japa plans and focus on other countries.
