2. 'Very good course' is broad. Research or go for what you've always planned to do

3. Leg or connection no reach here. Check all universities and apply yourself. It's either you meet up with their requirements or you don't

4. You said you've followed every single post. CAS shouldn't be new to you

5. Yes there are installment process for some unis but looks easy on paper but can be different in reality. Either get most of the funds or get a loan

Good morning to everyone on this forum.. I’ve been a silent reader since 2019 and I always follow every single post that’s been posted on here.. but right now I need an advise and also a quick response from y’all.

So this is what actually happened. So there’s this brother that stays close to us in Lagos that moved to Germany early last year and he’s currently in the UK. So last week I received a call from my mom saying she already spoke to this brother wanting me to move to the uk mind you I’m in my Finals(HND)..

Now here’s the thing I already gathered a lot of information on here so I’m much familiar with the study route to the uk. And during our discussion conversations everything he’s saying 75% of it are what I gained on here which I’ll be listing out so the guru here can help me out cos I don’t want my mom to fall for any fraud or waste her money smhw.

1.He talks about schools in the uk not really accepting HND students for masters (not all schools). So he advised I start all over again..

2. He advised I go for a very good course in terms of job in future.

3.He said he can only assist with 4 university University of Huddersfield, Kingston university, University of Wolverhampton and Leeds international Centre.. those are the four options he gave concerning the university.

4.He talked about CAS but I would like someone on here to enlighten me more about CAS things to do before it’s issued.

5. Now here’s the main thing.. during our conversation I told him studying in the uk is quite expensive but he’s saying one can pay his/her tuition fee in installment process..

6. But here is my main concern I told him I don’t think my mom can come up with POF at the moment but he insisted on helping out. I asked him how? This bro said he’s going to put the funds in my account blah blah. Though he said I have to pay the part payment of my school fees into the school account maybe 4k which I asked stylishly if I can pay myself he said sure..

But my main concern is about the POF please someone just help me out probably if they’re some things I still need to ask him.. cos my mom has been disturbing me about my response but I needed to be sure if this bro is real about the whole thing before anything. Though a scam will always sound real.

The rules are simple and clear. You either break or follow them .. Why the heck is it 50/50 especially when the applicant breached no rules

Bro the chances of staying back is 50/50 there is no guarantee that PSW will be issued after study o.
If you have more than enough,you can risk it even if it doesn't go as plan you will have something to fall back on.
But it is better to go and weather the storm first,then move the family when you have a job that guarantees your stay.
Coming back to resettle in Nigeria after 2yrs gap no be something one can absorb o.

But it is written in the GOV.UK site that dependants of Tier 2/Tier 4 are entitled to study in State Funded Schools.

Of course you can even if it's expiring on that day as long as you meet up with the 'Date of Application' requirement which means you submit your application online before it expires. If employer reaches out while your application is still being processed, ask to vary your application. And if it's out, switch to Tier 2

You don't need to convince visa officer as You've served your sentence. Declare on the form and you will be fine.

Your masters degree does not pose any red flag. The university has assessed and you met up with their requirements. Ukvi will only ask for more documents if needed. Careers can be switched so not sure how this will be a red flag

I asked out of curiosity but I honestly don’t want to get too involved in the case because it’s mentally draining and I don’t have the mental strength for it atm. From what she said, she hinted on the fact that she was not collecting payslips as the money was being paid into someone else’s account (first red flag) secondly since they have her passport and all, I assume it may be possible?

I will start by creating an account and logging onto the HMRC Tax account then match payslips given.

Make a complaint with hmrc if anything suspicious in your account.

FYI your friend stands a chance of it being overturned if she's gathered all the evidence.

I’m genuinely curious because on my previous reply on the student thread, I had posted about two people I know that were refused PSW and marched back to Nigeria on grounds that their NI were checked, and discovered they broke the 20hrs rule. I reached out to the other one that actually applied for tier two, and she swore she never did more than 20hrs that she’s sure it was one of these agencies that must have given her details to people to work with. She’s planning to hire an immigration lawyer but I’m here asking to satisfy my curiosity becauseeee it’s scary if it’s true

I am not referring to a particular individual but to the particular skilled occupation that took you to UK eg if nursing as profession is taken off from the shortage occupation list ,what will be the fate of the other nurses that are currently on the visa that are yet to get attain ILR visa.

Not on the list means no license to sponsor hence home office will notify him on any curtailment of his visa. He will have 60 days to look for another role.

I've seen cases where the sponsor forgot to renew their license and maybe it's the case. Best he checks with HR to get a clearer understanding as to why it's not on the list so it doesn't affect future application(s)

Not sure how this is criminal. The university will just withdraw their offer if they find out he's been dishonest in his application. There's no such thing as a 'unified system' hence the reason why Data is protected by law.

2. Do you know that the number of people given PSW visas are lower than the number of graduating students per year? It doesn't matter whether you meet the requirements or not, you can be denied. Just like how so many people are denied visas even when all their details are correct and genuine.

To Whom It May Concern,
Never place your hope in the PSW visa, because the likelihood you wouldn't get that visa is high due to the volume of students received in the UK each year. Go with the mind set of returning to your country after the close of your program and you wouldn't be disappointed. Some of us are bitter about the UK just because we think we are entitled to work there due to the high fee paid. Am not then saying don't look for an opportunity to work or stay there but we shouldn't think we entitled for that. Always get a backup plan should in case you don't get the PSW.
The greatest issue is that most of us move to the UK (as student) without proper backup plan. I have about 5 friends who ended up returning after schooling (masters degree) because they didn't have a proper plan of searching for jobs.
Please, let's all plan well before we japa or else we will blame them (UK) for something that doesn't exist.

After breaching immigration rules, any other point based application(s) will be denied even if he gets CAS. Again, his best bet is to voluntarily leave the country and apply for study visa in a year's time. This breach is a year ban

Well from my convo with him, he is not prepared to leave because he is scared of being denied since they already found him guilty of breaching immigration policies. So the question is, can he apply for another master's and student visa within the UK?
