Whenever I deliberately pray intensely (very occassionally) about anything, the reverse is the outcome as against my usual 30 seconds prayer. I've noticed this trend. I've benefitted from near-miraculous opportunities by just my 30 seconds prayers.

It's been over a decade since I left my parents to live as an adult and I'm the least religious person I know.

I've not stepped into a church in three years, don't pay my tithes or any of those things they do in the church.

Other than 30 sesonds to 1 minute early morning prayers that I observe, half asleep, half awake, that's it with my relationship with God.

But I've enjoyed so much grace, promotions, unimaginable financial blessings. My career took off like a jet. What took people over 20 years to achieve in my industry, I did in less than 3 years. I may not even take common paracetamol in years. I ascribe it all to God.

I was raised in a godly family. We prayed together as a family morning and evening everyday, WITHOUT FAIL.... plus regular fasting and prayer on Saturdays.

Again, just now, I left a meeting that I had been preparing for for several weeks. Because it was important to me, I prayed really well (many times). Something was telling me as I was praying that "You're going to regret this". The meeting was a major disaster!!! Everything looked okay until 10 minutes before the meeting. It was as if something was messing with everything. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. They ended the meeting mid way
and never returned. I'm sure I won't receive any email from them.

I've been through similar meetings with even less preparations and just my 30 seconds of prayer and I usually dance out of such meetings.

Not just about this particular incidence but a striking trend I've noticed. I can begin to count. Today, I just promised myself never to exceed 30 seconds of prayer EVER again.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

This is the time I wish I had someone who is more discerning or could interprete this.

But somehow, people believe the latter group deserves it because they are fine or 'dumb.'

Some people may say i'm lucky and would want to be in my position, but i really need ur advice..

My girlfriend mum have a very big provission shop, and u all know how it feels (that joy) to have such person daughther as your girlfriend.

She loves me so much that she can give me money, food stuff, all for free from their shop. infact, i don't even spend a kobo to buy anything again. All i do is just go to their shop, & collect whatever i want.

If i meet her mum when i want to buy something, i'll pay her. But if i give her N500, she will give me change of even N2000 and ask me to go. And i don't argue with her so that her mum won't notice. I will just collect the money and go.

If i call her on phone that i'm hungry, only God can tell the things she will bring for me withing just 20 minutes of calling her..

She's spending so much on me, and i think i need advice.

So what can buy happiness or what special role does your female gender offer to the family. Cooking, cleaning or washing of the children cloths, And why cant the female gender see beyond that. I can hire a housemaid to do all that, nothing special about all that. You think its only mothers who play with their kids these days. I for one do play with my kids a lot, when ever i am around, and they prefer me to their mother when ever i am around.

You are forgetting father are the ones who advice's and guide the children on the right part. while mother always spoil them.

And at your bolded. The mother caring for the children and the household is also not a blood sacrifice, but rather is it not her responsibility. You can not go higher by trying to bring other down, it doesn't work that way.
