They refer to different understandings of the same entity and neither is a perfect understanding. Its like two Bible readers can have contradictory understandings of what they read as writers too may contradict themselves.
Problems arise when one tries to believe instead of understand the implications and ramifications of what one has read. The gravest error is in replacing the image (the books) for the God.

robinso01: Well, you might be right. Just because you are privileged to have a good work as a graduate, doesn't mean other graduates registering for npower doesn't studied or learned. Don't just speak from your angle only. I am not priviledged. I just studied hard and learned, mostly without even parental assistance, and would call myself uneducated if my education cannot provide my daily bread. That after all, is the purpose of an education, to ensure I do not starve nor beg. Do note that I am not of the opinion that npower means not studying. Sometimes, we do need assistance getting by. But we must aim to eventually stand on our own two feet instead of blaming others for our empty plates and bellys. And it starts from getting up and falling a few times until two feet standing is mastered. |

If so as long as humans(with developed brains) exist so would Religion Except in time, we might call it something else. I would suggest evolugion, as in, the religion of the ideology of change. It would be the study of historical evolution, and it's prophets will be evolugionists, as in promoters of change. That however would be a reinvention of the wheel, as those who begin " In the beginning" and work their way diligently to the end would already have learnt of the evolution of God from slave master to beggar to loving Jesus Christ. |

Xmuslim: Religion is capable of turning an intelligent person into irrational being
Human evolution in progress. We are moving away from religion gradually. What will happen to religion in the next 5 to 10k years will be interesting. It will eventually extinct I'd bet you religion would not be extinct in 5 to 10k years but I doubt I'd be around to collect on it. What I think would happen is those alive in 5 to 10k years will look back at us and our religions as we look back at the religious of a thousand years ago or not look back at all like we don't look back at the religious of years ago. And rather than religion becoming extinct, it would just evolve like it always has. "The poor", it is written, "will always be amongst us". |

kumulus: Interesting that you know my experience
I should be clear on my earlier input; there is a part of knowledge which simply means 'to know' and there's the other part which goes beyond just knowing.
For instance, most children/wards 'know' that 2×1 is 2 but only a handful can tell at those nursery ages why it is 2. Those amongst them who can have passed the first stage of knowing. I hope you see my point clearly this time.
-Lloyd It is a universal experience that we believe some things that we later find to be wrong. You can of course correct me if my belief that this has happened to you is wrong. We usually do not make a distinction between beliefs and fact based knowledge and many tend to think their beliefs are true. The phrase "I believe", actually shows doubt which could easily be tested. Consider the two sentences below and tell me what springs to your mind. 1. I believe there is a billion naira in my account. 2. I believe it is raining. Would one say either if one actually knew? If a child says "I believe 2x1=2", most will raise eyebrows and wonder why that child does not know that 2x1=2. |

robinso01: Do you think many people that applied for npower really wish to? Circumstances is the reason why they applied for it.. Did you know how many graduates out there without any tangible work, can anyone just become graduate without reading, studying and actually learn? Yes, many people can and have become graduates without reading, studying and actually learning. We see them on here asking for someone to write their final thesis for them or screwing a lecturer for grades. Many do not show any knowledge of what their degree is in nor do they reason like graduates. The option for such people will be npower. |

As soon as you have facts and evidence for a belief the belief becomes knowledge. That's the reason you'd never believe your mother is your mother or your wife is married to you. You ought to know who your mother is and whom your wife married. |

MuttleyLaff: The one time belief that the earth was flat was based on an opinion and not a fact
Opinions, changes, but facts don't change. Opinions don't affect facts. But facts, do affect opinions, and make opinions change. The problem is, too many people don't know the difference between what's fact and what's opinion. Opinions change, facts don't because facts are based on reality. The one time belief, that the earth was flat, was based on a fantasy/speculation (i.e. an opinion) and not reality (i.e. a fact) It was still a belief, which goes to show that beliefs can have no factual foundation. |

Trump congratulating DeSantis on great numbers in April. Today Floridians are getting virus every five and a half seconds -
DeSantis fumbling 2 months ago- Problems began when DeSantis stopped being a Republican and became a Democrat. If he'd remained a Republican coronavirus would not have gone to Florida. Or at least that's what we should believe because coronavirus only affects Democrat led states, according to some. You'd need to ignore the headlines though.

But the thread is a misdirection and a futile attempt at attacking Darwin's work.
That's what religious apologists do...go against scientific works but offer fairytales and unverifiable stories as possible explanation for reality. I'd like you to see it as some stating how ignorant they are so they can be taught. They of course do not know they are ignorant. |
