Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigeria’s Unemployment Rate Third Highest Globally – Report by budaatum: 6:00am On Mar 20, 2021
oz4real83:
A country that imports even as little as toothpicks, will always have a high unemployment rate. A country that blocks investors from investing in some sectors of the economy because they have given the monopoly to Dangote will always suffer high rate of unemployment. A country whose president supports and defends terrorism will always have high rate of unemployment because investors will be scared of coming. A Country whose economic policies are being managed by unqualified people will always have high rate of unemployment. A country where religion is given higher priority than entrepreneurship/industries will always have high unemployment.
The Gods must be blessing Nigeria, I think, and somehow feel you should say, "a country that is not responsible for feeding itself and who eats the manna that falls from heaven".

Nigeria must be blessed with manna because all these unemployed Nigerians must be eating something or they'd all have died of hunger and starvation already which would have significantly reduced the unemployment rate but instead it just keeps rising.

Or perhaps I should ask.

If you are unemployed please how does your daily bread arrive in your belly?

I think we'd need to call it Amala for wealthy people with more money than an empty belly or something because I am certIn that plate costs a whole lot more than the mama put amala in the other photos.

They might serve it in the Hilton in Dubai and charge you tons, but please know that Dubai now has it's own Enish where authentic amala and abula can be had.

That said, I doff my capito to the creator of this as it sure must have taken some out of the box thinking.

OpenYourEyes1:
It's almost hard for satan and his agents to hide their true "fruits". No matter what they do to hide them, there will always be evil/lies "leaking" in them and you will always detect it as a true born again. Believe, trust and obey GOD's Words, and you will be empowered to see.
Be careful mingling with that person who calls his/herself a believer, yet tolerate evil or is controlled by evil. Good and evil can not mix together, otherwise the good get corrupted easily by the bad.

fine discussion....

But i as i go through it, the only conclusion in sight is that "religion divides".

I see persons who call themselves true christians vilifying a fine christian woman who has been a model wife in a happy marriage for 7 years. To these persons, her crime is marrying an atheist. Some of these persons quote verses in the christian holy book to justify the concealed enmity they have towards others not aligning with them in faith, especially atheists. Is this not the same as Muslims calling others not aligning with them in faith as infidels? Know that they also quote verses in their holy book for justification.

If we look at one another as individuals, and really respect one another, we really can live together irrespective of our religious differences. And for those concerned about the children of the union, know that atheist (at least my kind) don't go proselytizing. I teach our kids to have an open mind. I remember my girl once asking me whether I or mummy was right about the god subject; and my answer was why she thought either of us was right. Trust me, the little girl has been taught more christian stuff than kids in many all-christian home. But importantly, she's learned to avoid some fallacies, such as the fallacy of false dilemma.
daddy may like rice, and mummy may like beans, but she can like either or neither. That's up to her. We don't teach her what to think; we teach her how to think.

So please, stop all the enmity (whether overt or concealed). Respect one another's (especially your partners') taste/ preferences. Don't see your taste as superior. Don't force your taste on others. And you'll find that just as a rice-person and a beans-person can be successfully married, so a christain and an atheist can be successfully married.

Easy really. They did not bother black me at all, though my white colleagues were always being kidnapped and kept till their accounts were drained. I was in Mexico City, so little cartel and more wealthy people to harass I guess.

My main problem was my misbehaving colleagues and the 419 company I worked for. They'd harass people wherever we go but only I would be recognised next time we go so I stopped going out with them which got me labelled as antisocial.

Buda,
Knowing God only from intellectual point of view is like loving your wife purely from an intellectual point of view. Such will be a mechanical union!

Mat 22:37-38:

"Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart , and with all your soul , and with all your mind . This is the first and great commandment."
The way you create crap in your head and believe it is the same way you assume one only knows God from an intellectual point of view.

How many times has buda told you one must ask and knock and seek with all ones heart and soul and mind and being?

Imagine lawyers and accountants being seen as unskilled, that's harsh bro cheesy
I'm pretty sure humans will still fight and get in trouble regardless of inhabiting another planet, so they'll still need lawyers...plus accountants will still be needed to run the economy. Its the religious fanatics that would be unskilled tongue
I guess I just wanted to poke fun at lawyers and accountants. With breathing rights at stake, accountants will very likely be required to count breaths and lawyers will be suing for breach of breathing contracts.

I can see it already. Cases in courts claiming compensation for taking a ¼ breathe more than was paid for.

Lawyers and accountants may be unskilled but they'd very much will be required, along with politicians to buy and sell the rights to breath to their friends and themselves, and bankers to lend them the money to buy those rights, and there's your trouble I guess.

But be thankful there's other planets. After messing up Jupiter, we can always go start on Saturn and Mercury and Uranus, especially if the date does get to like One billion Annos Dominos.

People like Buda an Kobo probably came to Christianity purely from an intellectual point of view.
Are you saying we use our God given brain?

Yes Sir, buda is guilty as charged! Because, if some man says to buda that God said, "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat, But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die", buda will tell that man to fuq off and buda will eat that fruit!

And if some God were to say to buda, "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat, But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die", buda will tell that God to fuq off too and buda will worship the serpent instead.

buda is like that, you see. You can not place knowledge in front of buda and expect buda not to eat. It's like when the "Lord said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel. You are to worship at a distance, but Moses alone is to approach the Lord; the others must not come near. And the people may not come up with him”.

buda, said, "What the fuq, Lord! Has Moses got two heads?! Is it not you who created buda also? I'm coming up too. And I'm coming near you!"

And so buda went all the way up the mountain with Moses. And the Lord gave buda the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father sent to teach all things and bring all things to remembrance because the God of buda does not want buda to be ignorant and stupid or buda will not be able to "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth" and be blessed.

Lol do you have any idea how much the rocket ticket would cost? Only the filthy stinkingly disgustingly rich people will be able to afford it.
Ah, come on. By 1st January 2,000,021, minimum wage will likely by ₦1b per annum if not more, because we'd probably need to pay for breathing air through the air meter attached to the nose, like ₦1k per breathe, though you'd likely get a discount of ₦10k for your daily breathing if you buy in bulk, so, you'd likely have enough left over for a ticket to Jupiter, especially if you breath in moderation like 10 breathes per minute or less.

Besides, they'd need workers on Jupiter, so unskilled workers like lawyers and accountants can sell themselves for free passage like some initial migrants to the Americas did, while skilled labour like doctors and engineers can be charged like 10 years of their lifes to get there if their employers do not include tickets to Jupiter as a relocation benefit like maternity leave and holiday or part of their employment terms and conditions.

Sorry preachers, imams and sheepies. You can all go to the much preferred heaven because your skillset would likely not be required by then, but I am assured all things are possible through God, and slaves are always required by the stinking rich so one never can know for sure.

Those former atheists now christians are true believers because they've taken time to study the word of God and also been touched by the Holy Spirit they dropped their atheism and believes unlike we normal christians who just go to church and agree with anything the pastor says..
I will say "understanders" instead of "true believers". As in, we seek an understanding and find one.

I, for instance, believe nothing when it comes to Gods, but if you slap my right cheek and I turn my left cheek and you slap, you'd likely not go past 7 times before you find you can't lift your hand to slap again, and I sure will be occupying space in your head for days, if not months and years and for the rest of your life, because you will find it hard to stop thinking of the me you slapped 7 times.

And yes, I know this because I have always lived by this mantra though the slappers never go past 3.

Interesting conversation going on here. From all that's been said, something jumps at me:

Former atheists, like Buda and Kobo, who are now "christians" seem to have a different, somewhat philosophical interpretation of the scriptures from "mainstream" christians, like Shade.

The majority of christians, including members of JW like Max, would find the position of Shade and Max agreeable- No "true christian"( whatever that means) would marry an atheist. I might be wrong but it takes a christian who has passed through the eye of athiesm or at least agnosicm to even entertain the thought.

So my quandary remains why is former athiests idea of christianity different from other christians?

Anyone?
First, let me surprise you.

shadeyinka:
Continuation:
My journey to atheism was slow and steady.
Now, a rephrase of your question, if I may, since I am not a Christian.

Why is buda's understanding of the Bible different from most christians?

For me, the answer is objectivity. And an ability to read. And an undying atheistic ability to disbelieve. And the obedience to the gnostic doctrine of "ask and seek and knock with all your heart and soul and mind and being, and even after you think you might have found, keep on seeking till your last breathe".

Some go looking for a God, you see, but I do not need to because it is written in a book I can see and read that God created an image I can see when God breathed into mud and made you, I read, a child or creation at least, of the Most High, who's greatest law is Love Wisdom - a gnostic understanding of the word "God", and who's second law is "Love one another, of whom Christ, the Words in a Book, reads "inasmuch as I have done for those here whom I see, the Gods in heaven whom I see not are pleased".

The whole book basically teaches how to love you, and I just happen to have this one belief that loving you reduces the hateful people by one therefore making the world a tiny bit of a better place, which I think is worth doing since I will be spending three score and ten years in it, so why be a hateful buttho I say, and if that ain't good enough for the Gods, they can collectively kiss my butt when it arrives in their presence to be judged.

P.s. What I love about this thread is that atheist eomajeh is more Christ like than buttho "Christians".

I think I got your point now...But you sounded initially as though you meant that: one could just work out a way through those self induced effort to understand the word and eventual become sin free as a result.
You got my point because you did not allow yourself to be blinded by your initial perceptions (beliefs) and instead induced the effort (became as a child) and asked questions to seek to understand.

If you had not done so, buda could have made your flesh sin by becoming your enemy, but by Grace, I now love you.

The Word is powerful, Kingdomtruth. To some is to merely believe. But to some is to do the work to understand the Gospel.
