I had the premonition that the two young men hearts were as dangerous as their looks; In the process of wishing the thought away, my fear crystallized.

Who saw today's Google Doodle as an offence to the black race, today Google celebrated 41st discovery of Lucy (homo sapiens fossil) in 1974 by Donald Johanson and Tom Gray in Ethiopia.The illustration showing a stylised theory of evolution from apes to humans that is human beings were apes before but if you look at the Google doodle it shows an ape that transformed into a man(black). To me this is kinda offensive as they still believe that Africans were apes before they transformed into humans.
My opinion though.

Graham Bell actually never used the term "hello" . The first call he made was to his assistant who was in the adjoining room and he said "Come-here. I want to see you."

The word "Hello" actually came from hola which meant to stop and pay attention. Alexander Bell preferred to use Ähoy"as in the ships those days which co-incidentally was misheard by Edison.

In 1877, Edison wrote to T.B.A. David, the president of the Central District and Printing Telegraph Company of Pittsburgh:
Friend David, I do not think we shall need a call bell as Hello! can be heard 10 to 20 feet away.

Truth is, a man needs to work before he is eligible for relationship. That's our cross as men! Women only need to be women and be physically mature to be eligible for a relationship. We are not! We need to be better than our peers. The better we are compared to them, the more likely we would land most women. I think evolution has taught us more about this.

For me, what i advice the op to do is to allow her come closer to him, don't push her away and say "you that didn't take me then, what do you want now?" i think you should allow her to come close and see how she relates with you. She may have had a true and genuine change of heart. If you just tell her to go, then it is possible that you are still hurt and you are refusing to agree that women, just like us, can have standards and that sometimes, we don't meet those standards. And that her standards, though may be above us, are not necessarily bad.

Pls pals I need an advice from you guys on an issue that is bothering me. Am a guy of 30yrs old, working class. March this yr i started a building project at home, it is at decking level now, but around September i met a girl am seriously in love with & i know she also loved me, she has all am looking for in a woman. I have prayed and no Divine objection to my choice of her.
But major set back to my proposing to her is:
1) my building project, i want to get it to a reasonable extent to reduce financial burden after marriage.
2) I don't want to keep long r/ship or courtship before marriage

Good people of Nairaland, I am currently at a crossroad to either let a girl I love go or to try more, I've been friend with this girl for a while (2 years), during which I've asked her out once and I got that most dreaded response ( NO). The response does not seems to affect our friendship negatively as I didn't have a change in attitude towards her, but about some months ago a guy asked her out and she made him understand that she has a boyfriend (Me) and I get to know this through a mutual friend with the guy. This made me decided to ask her out again but I still got the No response which left me with a lot of questions like is she playing hard to guy? Did she just use me to chase the other guy away?
