RomanceRe: Am I Weird To Feel This Way?? by BuddhaPalm(m): 11:47am On Nov 15, 2015

Ok
So I don't know why I always feel offended when a stranger, complete stranger feels the need to pay for my lunch, or recharge card. Just because you feel that's what you have to do to get me to talk to you, or listen to you.

I don't know if they feel every girl is ebinna, I never chop..

Today I refused to talk to a man who paid for my lunch, because I really wanted him to know paying for my lunch wouldn't make me any nicer to you. And this is someone I was already being nice to before he even paid for my food. Like that wasn't enough, after eating his lunch, he sat in the parking lot and waited for me to finish eating and I'm sure I stayed 10-15mins after he left, before he drove towards, again just to show off his car...

This happens to me like all the time..

Why do guys think it's only when they show off money that girls can take them seriously? Its annoying tbh
I wish more guys will read this.

You're not weird at all...

Going the root of it: these actions try to obligate you (some kind of scheme). And naturally, we resent obligations - especially when the expectation is not 'equal'.

If your neighbour helps you jumpstart your car, you guys enter some kind of social contract. This is implicit.

The obligation on your end is that you will return this favour (equivalent) at a later date. Psychologists call this reciprocity.

If I help you jumpstart you car, an equivalent payback might be to invite me to sample your knockout egusi soup. But if what I want in return is to be able to borrow your car twice a week - because of that little favour...not worky worky.

So in essence, this guys offer was a plate of rice for your vagina, and this is a deal you resent.

And the sad part is that he probable just paid because he genuinely felt it was the right thing to do.

Temporary. Just like a bruise.

I hope you wailers are prepared to do this for the Next 4yrs? And do people even real at all. That post is not saying the president spent money on buying new air planes or incurring any extra expenses. Pls read out de first sentence. It is only spending that money to maintain the air planes bought by the previous administration. Maybe you still dont understand. Let me use a simple example to illustrate. "IF YOUr FATHER RENTS A DUPLEX FOR YOU AND Suddenly dies towards de expiration of the rent, when the time for payment comes, i wonder who is going to pay the rent? Now you have two choices, first choice is you bear the huge cost and pay the rent. Second option you agree the cost is to much and so you relocate to much more cheaper and affordable house. Now if am not mistaken one of the few promises made by buhari upon assumption of office is to sell some of the air planes so as to minimize cost. Now what i expect any rational mind to do is concentrate on reminding him of that promise! Now has baba forgotten?
You are not serious right?

Not from creeps that's for sure. When it's from your man, good, but from a stranger it borders on inappropriate. But then again, different strokes for different folks. Not all will skip & twirl at sexual compliments.
A creep is any guy you don't find attractive.

If he's your 'hot' you'll skip and twirl.

CareerRe: How I Got Belittled By My Boss... by BuddhaPalm(m):
SSpeter:
I felt breaking my boss head after he made some derogatory comments that got me angry and belittled.....

Yesterday a colleague and I went to take measurements of a bank for renovation works in one of the tertiary institution in ogun state. My colleague been the senior was given the full details and equipment needed. When we got to ogun state, he gave me the equipment (tape and camera) and asked me if I could do it that he has a babe in the school. I said yes and he gave me extra 3k I guess that was to shut me up.

After taking the measurement of the floor area in the banking hall and other adjoining spaces, I took pictures of the tiles and ceilings just to show my boss that they were in a very poor state. When I got back home I used my computer to scale the measurements and then redesigned the banking hall.

The main aim of the renovation was to increase the number of cubicles in the banking hall from 3 to 7. Today when I got to the office, I gave my boss the report and showed the the proposed design I made, he said "Great". During critic session I was surprised that the initial drawing was brought out and he was redoing the design. Well I no talk, I watched until he was done instructing the architect. Then I compared his proposed design with mine and I quickly pointed out to him that he has used up much space for circulation moreover our cubicle spatial analysis is till the same.

He called me Peter!!! ....what year were you born I told him, he said that was the year I started this company. If you have things in your head keep it. When you establish your firm, use it. Na so everybody dey look me like say I shit for body. See me wey for just keep quite....If it were to be somewhere else, Na orijin bottle I for arrange untop him head...............that is why I keep praying for a multinational firm....abeg make I quickly go check my shell application status....
This is/was an opportunity for you to learn a VERY CRITICAL lesson about dealing with your SUPERIORS - and even people in general.

So you would rather embarrass your boss, than be embarrassed yourself?

Don't think Shell or any other multinational will be different.

Human nature is exceptionally consistent.

In the 48 Laws of Power, the first law, which didn't make first by accident is: NEVER OUTSHINE YOUR MASTER.

Diamonddris:
There is this girl that I am having some crush on,she is pretty..and there is also a good friend of mine in school, anytime I tell him about a girl I admire, he is always too eager to see the girl.

And when he sees her he will exhibit some funny characters that even gets me ashamed sometimes in the name of making the girl like him..

Recently there is a girl I introduced to him, he talks about the girl like every where we meet..at the gym, game center, bet center. everybody in the street knows that I am having crush on this girl..

The most touching part of the story was yesterday when I got to the school, I called the girl on phone and the first question she asked me was "DID UR FRIEND COME"..minutes later I called my friend who did not come to school and the first thing he asked me was "DID LOVETH COME"..

I was so confused that I almost had a BP rise..

I need your advise fellow nairalanders..

Could there be something FISHY behind me?

No be like say him fine pass me o..I murder the guy when it comes to height and handsomeness, with my pink lips...but why?
They like each other, there isn't much you can do about that.

Everything is not Federal Govt!

As a matter of fact, what the STATE (State Govt and Local Govt) takes from the National Cake, is bigger than what accrues to the Federal Govt, per state!

We are focusing too much attention of the Federal govt while neglecting the "Big Criminals"... who are the State Goverment and Local govt Chairmen who just collect and steal their allocations!

Imagine if all "Street Roads" which are the responsibility of Local govt, are tarred and well laid with Gutters?
Imagine if the State Government compliment this with Major Roads in the state, well tarred and supported with proper drainage?

You think if this is done, anyone will remember we even have or need a federal govt?

The point l am making is that until we Nigerians remove this "federal Govt" tribalism and bigotry from our mindset and start stoning these Governors and especially the LGA chairmen, until, then, we will just continue to suffer and go round in circles.

I don't know about the specific figures, but I totally concur with you on the rest.

If Jonathan won the elections will they be agitating they want to go?
Useless tribalists. Let them go... can't wait to take over their businesses when they leave.
It is unfortunate this race of people fail to realise they are just traders who need to buy &sell to survive. They have no oil, no land, no resource etc. Yet if all the Igbos should go back home, where is the land that will contain them.
They have just taken themselves back to civil war era wher everyone looked at them with suspicion.
I weep 4 them.
Igbos can still stay in Nigeria, with a Visa, assuming there isn't enough land grin.

And the traders can still buy and sell to anyone, irrespective of nationality.
