Because the judges were afraid.they didnt want to declare a winner which the supreme court will overturn.therefore,its best they left the decision to the apex court.again,they misunderstood the case of hope and wrongly evaluated it.

Studying the previous judgements by the supreme court on imo state, they may have paved way for hope uzodinmma. For those saying APC came a distant 3rd, with the elimination of AA by supreme court judgement, APC automatically comes 2nd. Uche nwosu cannot say he is the true candidate of APC cos he stood on the platform of AA during the last election and as such supreme court disqualified him for double standard. So he cannot even lay claim to APC flag. He stands disqualified from anything concerning last election. Ihedioha on the other hand got majority of the votes but didn't get the spread to be declared winner. Hope didn't get the majority but got the spread. He is also claiming some polling units where he convincingly won were excluded. If he gets the nodding of the supreme court on that, he becomes the governor today. But it will be tough.

So why did Uzodimma lose at the tribunal and appeal courts?

Don't forget that only a few days ago the supreme court declared Nwosu as the candidate of APC. Nwosu could not carry the flag of AA and APC together.

Mr. Uzodimma came a distant third and has been dragging a yeye case to the supreme court. Whether you are in the PDP or opposing camp it is as clear as daylight that Uzodimma cannot win. Where does the fear come from? As it stands APC can no longer defeat PDP in Imo state. I am not from Imo but I believe that under Ihedioha Imo will certainly become better than it presently is.

Uzodimma made a very foolish political manouvre when he decamped from PDP to APC. He should have remained in the PDP in Imo to stay politically relevant. He does not carry the same weight in Imo like Akpabio in Akwa Ibom. As far as I see Uzodimma is on the part of political oblivion except Buhari helps him a little.
