The People Democratic Party Governorship Candidate of Lagos state Jimi Agbaje has dumped the People Democratic Party over an unresolved disagreement between him and the leadership of the party in the state.

This contains in a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos. Agbaje revealed that it is necessary for him to leave this party after a series of allegations that arose after our party lost the Governorship election in Lagos State.

” I have tried to remain focused and ignored all the distractions coming from the leadership of the party. I am making the decision after due consultation with my supporters and loved ones for the sake of peace.

Mr Agbaje, however, did not give details whether he will join another party.

The former Chairman of the people Democratic Party in Lagos State, Chief Tunji Shelle, has accused Jimi Agbaje of responsible for party poor performance in just concluded Governorship election in Lagos State.

Let him go. He played a great part in the woeful performance of PDP in the governorship election. How many times did he campaign? Look at Ojo and Amuwo Odofin, areas that are PDP strongholds. While APC agents were spending money and pushing hard, Agbaje spend only mouth. Agents and canvassers complained and ended up working for APC. Agbaje was waiting for Igbo votes. The Igbos were intimidated and Agbaje failed to rise to the occassion.

Remember the court judgement in Asaba, Delta state yesterday against the Prophet Erue/Ogboru/Omo Agege faction of APC. By the pronouncement of that court recognising the faction of Cyril Ogodo/Pat Utomi all actions taken by Prophet Erue have become nullified. It means Omo Agege WILL NOT RETURN to the senate. The other faction will forward its own candidate because the election was won by the party, APC. So effectively it is only Dino Melaye left.

For the record, you said I was angered or sentimental because he switched to PDP. How? Why? Like you're happily impossing him on us because he's now PDP? If you really want us to leave in peace then that idea of following the band wagon to believe that a total failure ultimately becomes a saint once they switch parties should be totally ditched. Its what these politicians use on we the masses. Your governor may be worse but that does not in any way make Ortom a good man. A man who could fool the entire country hiding under the long standing fulani /herders crisis and all other forms of sympathy to achieve his evil aim while doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is one I should praise? You've said it all, you aren't from Benue bro, you may NEVER UNDERSTAND.
Do you mind if I ask what evil the man has done to Benue people? Why then did people vote for him? Presently he is ahead with votes counted so far.

I am not from Benue state but as we must all agree whatever affects one part of our control must be taken seriously by all so that we can have a very peaceful country once again. I do not think that Ortom is the worst governor considering the perfomances of other governors in most parts of the north. They greatest challenge I think Ortom faced was his inability to pay workers. What about infrastructure? For me his move to secure the state and its people from the murderous fulanis must be commended.

I mentioned Kogi state just for you to compare developments between the two states. Every Kogi man/woman wants to vote out the governor. His performance cannot be compared like that of Ortom. Ortom is far better and Benue is better than Kogi my friend.

Your Awara did not make wahala to campaign. Three days before the election Amaechi APC in Rivers to vote AAC. Who knows AAC? Truth told is that Wike won the election by a moon slide. APC lost because of unnecessary power play in Rivers state. Bros let me ask you. Where did Awara find the mouth to ask INEC to declare him governor? Can he win the house of assembly seat in own area?

' Benue people ' Benue people ' which Benue people? Besides was he not in PDP then APC almost throughout his tenure then back to PDP again? Ortom is the perfect definition of failure and the worst governor we've ever had bro.

You are very lucky to have a governor that defends the interest of his people. You are only being sentimental or angry because Ortom decamped back from APC. Sorry you hear. Manage until 2023. PoliticsRe: Declare Emmanuel Jime Winner Of Benue Governorship Election - Observers To NEC by Cantonese: 10:44am On Mar 18, 2019
Freestyl:
Coalition of Election Observers in Benue State has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to forthwith announce Emmanuel Jime, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as winner of the March 9 governorship election.

Like in six other states, INEC had declared the polls in Benue inconclusive, alleging that 121,011 electorates were either not able to vote or election did not hold in their areas.

However, in a statement by Convener Princess Ajibola on Saturday, the election observers urged the electoral umpire to adhere to the constitution and declare the APC flagbearer winner having picked up the highest number of votes in areas where card reader machines were used for accreditation.

The group of observers, who thoroughly monitored the exercise asserted that the incumbent and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Samuel Ortom, connived with some INEC officials to deliberately sabotage the entire process in his favour.

According to the observers, “ It is no coincidence that the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Samuel Ortom, only scored high votes in places where Card Readers were deliberately sabotaged by his agents to force electoral officers to resort to manual accreditation. In course of our observation, we documented that Card Readers were not used in Logo, Guma, Vandekiya, Konshisha, Buruku and Gwer West Local Government Areas.

“ The manual accreditation gave room to vote manipulation in the identified local government areas. Incidents documented included over voting, accreditation of people that are not registered voters, ballot stuffing amongst others. These incidents do not in any way form part of what INEC had promised when it announced its determination to conduct acceptable elections and they certainly do not indicate credible elections in any part of the world.

“ The knowledge on the part of other candidates that violations occurred on this scale is reasons for the election results so far announced are being met with rejection. The results have become controversial and are now a subject of protests by many candidates and observers.

“ Public anger will continue to grow for as long as INEC continues to delay in declaring a rejection of results from locations where Card Readers were not used. This is because INEC had issued a guideline that specifically directed that the use of card reader machine must be complied with.

“ In a bizarre development, the PDP candidate has connived with some INEC officials in Benue state to rig the elections through the failure to use Card Readers and is now parading himself as the winner of the election while citing some outrageous votes.

“ The rigging is so brazen that the leading APC candidate was allocated zero votes in places where it had large turnout of its supporters and polling agents, which would suggest that even the agents were not allowed to vote.

“ We see the case in Benue State as test for INEC that it can take electoral decisions that will ensure that every vote it organized do not end up being tabled before Election Petition Tribunals for adjudication. The Commission must begin to put an end to the practice of deprived winners being asked to go to court to reclaim their victories. INEC should therefore cancel the results from local government areas where Card Readers were not used and declare the Emmanuel Jime/Sam Ode ticket as winner.

“ We urge the international community to keep close watch of the development in Benue state so that the world will know what truly transpired in the state since it will become necessary to make interventions at some point based on the way the electorates will likely respond to their votes being stolen.”

Yeye electoral observers. Both the local and international are the worst we ever experienced in this country. Electoral observers who saw clear irregularities in the presidential election and said everything went well. In the presidential election what happened in the areas where card readers were not used? Did we not see some of the areas clearly? What about under age voting for the president and APC? Why did the observers not join forces to tell Nigerians the way it went. Did the president not use state force in all states. Even thugs and threat to kill a particular tribe in Nigeria was used. What did the observers do? Yeye people. As far as we know PDP is way ahead in Benue state. Did Jime not win votes in areas where card readers were not used? Who are they out to deceive?
PoliticsRe: APC, PDP Attack INEC Over Bauchi, Adamawa Gov Polls by Cantonese: 6:14am On Mar 18, 2019
famotechs:
THE ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were at the jugular of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, weekend, accusing the electoral umpire of bias and favouritism in recent elections and planned supplementary polls.

The APC, which expressed worry over the forthcoming supplementary elections, INEC’s decisions on Rivers and Bauchi states, accused INEC of favouring the PDP in its decision to continue collation of the governorship election in Bauchi, instead of holding a re-run in Tafawa Balewa Local Council as it earlier announced.

It alleged that Barr. Festus Okoye, chairman of INEC’s fact-finding committee sent to Bauchi, is a friend of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, who hails from Tafawa Balewa Local Government.

In a quick respnse, Mr Okoye dismissed the APC’s allegations as laughable because, as he said, he has neither met nor worked for Dogara, adding that INEC was not interested in who emerged governor in any of the states other than carrying out its constitutional duties.

Also, the PDP accused the electoral umpire of denying its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar access to election materials as ordered by the tribunal, and was working with the APC and the Presidency to frustrate it at the courts, an accusation the INEC dismissed as balderdash because it is yet to receive the court order.

This is as Dr Umar Ardo, a former special assistant to both President Olusegun Obasanjo and Vice President Atiku Abubakar, advised the electorate in Adamawa State to boycott Saturday’s supplementary election in the state, faulting the decision of the INEC to proceed with the exercise in spite of a court order to the contrary.

How INEC is favouring PDP in Bauchi – APC

In a lengthy statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the APC berated INEC as well as the PDP for what it described as an unholy alliance between both bodies regarding next Saturday’s supplementary elections as well as the commission’s decision on Bauchi and Rivers states.

“The electoral process was suspended in Rivers State in a very fraudulent circumstance,” the party also added.

On the supplementary elections, APC listed its concerns about the various states where the exercise would hold.

On Benue, the APC claimed that its candidate, Emmanuel Jime, obtained the highest number of votes via the usage of the card reader but noted that “INEC declared the governorship election in Benue State inconclusive, citing an insufficient margin in votes obtained by the APC candidate, Barr. Emmanuel Jime, and the PDP candidate, Governor Samuel Ortom.

“Even though the PDP claims a bogus lead of over 81,000 votes, reports strongly established that this dodgy figure is an aggregate of ‘votes’ obtained by subterfuge, not from the numbers recorded by the card reader.

APC says Festus Okoye is a friend of Dogara forgetting that Yakubu Mahmoud, the INEC chairman is from Bauchi. Between Yakubu Mahmoud and Festus Okoye who will favour APC? Is it not Yakubu Mahmoud who is playing the ostrich with us? This APC leaders keep talking without giving deep thoughts to their words. They simply want to grab power, hold on to power without knowing how to move the nation forward.

joshuisiukwu:
Femi Falana in an article on Sunday, titled, “INEC’s fresh power to deregister political parties", stated that only 10 parties will survive deregistration by INEC.

According to Femi Falana, if INEC followed the constitutional provisions on deregistration of political parties, not more than 10 of the 91 political parties would survive based on their performances in the just-concluded general elections. The renowned lawyer and activist cited the May 2017 amendment to Section 225 of the 1999 Constitution, which empowered INEC to deregister any political party on the grounds of “(a) breach of any of the requirements for registration; (b)failure to win at least 25 per cent of votes cast in: (i) One state of the federation in a presidential election; or (ii) one local government of the state in a governorship election; (c) failure to win at least – (i) one ward in the chairmanship election; (ii) one seat in the national or state House of Assembly election; or (iii) one seat in the councillorship election.”

He further added; “From the foregoing, it is indubitably clear that INEC has been conferred with enormous powers to deregister political parties that fail to meet the fresh constitutional prerequisites.“Going by the results of the 2019 general elections, the 91 registered political parties may have been reduced to less than 10 that may have scaled the constitutional hurdle.”

And then you will hear "20 presidential candidates endorse Buhari". Again you will hear association of former aspirants. Win their own polling units they cannot. The other day Oby Ezekwesili stepped down and her party asked her to refund all the money given to her which largely included monies sourced personally by her. How much were they talking about? 49 million. While APC and PDP were talking about billions one corner side party was crying over 49 million. Clearly what what the politicians do is register the parties and keep them for decamping if aggrieved in the future just like Okorocha and AA. The politicians register parties also just to collect funds from government for elections and share. Please INEC do not delay, deregister them all.

PoliticsRe: Dominion Anosike: 'They Are After My Life' - Bauchi INEC Returning Officer Cries by Cantonese: 9:32am On Mar 15, 2019
Nkemakonam62:
Mrs. Dominion Anosike, the returning officer for Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, in the gubernatorial election, has written to Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), requesting to appear before the electoral body at its headquarters in Abuja.

She was expected to appear before a committee set up by INEC to investigate controversies over the cancellation of the results of the governorship election in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

But Mrs. Anosike has requested to present her case in Abuja rather than in Bauchi on account of threats to her life.

The letter, dated March 13, 2019, was addressed to the National Chairman of INEC and was received in his office on March 14, 2019.

In the letter, she stated: “I superintended over the above election in Tafawa Balewa LGA as the returning officer and I believe that there will be need for your committee to find out from me what transpired at the collation centre that led to the cancellation of the result by the resident electoral commissioner for Bauchi State.

“The purpose of this letter to your good offices is to indicate my desire to appear before the team in another location, preferably Abuja – as doing that in Bauchi State would constitute a threat to my life, as I have already been threatened with instant death, should I be found anywhere in or near Bauchi State.”

It would be recalled that the returning officer for Bauchi State governorship election, Prof. Mohammed Kyari, had cancelled the election of Tafawa Balewa LGA on Sunday evening, citing the failure of Mrs. Anosike to use the prescribed form to enter the result of the elections collated across the local government areas.

This was despite the explanation given by her to the commission that the result sheets for the governorship election were carted away by thugs who invaded the collation centre in Zwall, Tafawa Balewa LGA, in the early hours of Sunday.

She had also notified the commission via an explanatory memorandum signed by all stakeholders in the election at the collation centre who unanimously agreed to collate and record the result on another form, and addressed same to the resident electoral commissioner and the state returning officer, which was submitted in Bauchi on Sunday.

However, the state returning officer, Prof. Mohammed Kyari, rejected the explanation and unilaterally declared that there was no result for Tafawa Balewa LGA and cancelled the election of the entire local government area even though there was no incident of cancellation, violence, or electoral malpractice at both the polling unit and ward levels as reported by the returning officer.

The PDP candidate, Sen. Bala Mohammed, was in the lead after results of 19 LGAs were collated, with the incumbent governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of the APC, trailing behind with a margin of over 4000 votes.

In the contentious Tafawa Balewa LGA, the PDP had scored 40,000 votes against the APC’s 29,000, putting the PDP ahead with about 15,000 votes.

It would be recalled that when a similar incident occurred during the presidential election on February 23 in Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State, when the collation officer discovered that the result sheet for the presidential election was missing, all party agents and electoral officers unanimously agreed to record the result on another form which was accepted by the commission and collated as part of the result from Bauchi State.

Similarly, following an attack and destruction of result sheets at Nasarawa LGA collation centre by thugs, the resident electoral commissioner of the state decided that since elections held and result were declared at various polling units and wards, the results could not be cancelled and adopted regenerated results from the wards and polling units.

What you know nothing about is bigger than you. What you have no information about you cannot discuss it.

Unfortunately most of the Igbos on the Onitsha side do not even have the history of the origin of their towns and villages. Even the Onitshas claim to be part of Anioma. In the clamour for Anioma state Onitsha is in it to be made the capital.

How many among the easterners know that the western Igbos migrated from the east? How many know that it was the Benin warrior kings like Eweka, who overran cities from Agbo to Onitsha and made them pay tributes?

If western Igbos are not Igbos why do they speak Igbo language? What makes the Afikpo, Ebonyi, Ohafia, Nsukka, Oghe, Abriba more Igbo than the Ukwuani and Agbo? Their Igbo dialect is not understand by those who speak the generally understood Igbo dialect. What about the Igbos of Rivers state? Are they not Igbos too?

The blind argument has to come to an end. The agitation for Anioma must be taken seriously so that the Igbo identification within the geographical expression called Nigeria can be complete.

but it was thief wike that brought fake army to disrupt the collation centre.
Then you have not been properly informed. This evening on Politics today, a Channels Tv programme anchored by Seun Okinbaloye, Mr. Chris Collins, a chieftain of the APC was asked who brought the soldiers into Rivers state. After trying to tell the viewing public irrelevances he finally thanked the army for coming to Rivers state to save the state on election day. While the army has disclaimed that the so called soldiers seen there were fake, the APC man was thanking them for sending soldiers to the state. Remember the proverb "the witch cried in the night and the child died in the morning". While PDP had been insisting that the results must be counted, APC in Rivers state has been blaming President Buhari for looking the other way.

Why don't you ask what is the business of Amaechi and Rivers APC in an election where they did not have a candidate?

AAC scored 370 votes in the presidential election in Rivers state. Obviously it was a very unknown party until Amaechi three days before the governorship election instructed his members to vote AAC. My brother in all honesty which of the two parties between PDP and an Amaechi backed AAC needed federal back up more. Clearly it was AAC called 'Amaechi Adopted Children' that needed the military. The plan would have been to get APC supporters to vote AAC backed with federal power to remove Wike/PDP. If AAC wins the candidate would be expected to decamp to APC. Simple.

Rivers state is indeed need of a messiah we need to get Rivers state working again let’s ignore party sentiments let’s put forward first our state and see how we can get it back from the hands of wicked even the Bible confirmed it “when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.
How many states have been paying workers consistently? For a very long time Aregbesola kept civil servants on half pay. How many states have completed projects initiated many years ago? Lagos started the blue rail project under the administration of Chief Bola.Tinubu. The sum of 250 billion was secured for the project that was designed the be completed in less than 10 years. Project commenced effectively under Fashola. As we speak today go and see the road from Iganmu to Okokomaiko.

Wike may be a poor governor to you, please show us which governor is performing at 100%. None. Go around all the states in the north and south. Go to Kogi, even Kogites are ashamed of their state but APC will return him. Go to Zamfara. The.governor is most of the time in Abuja and he boldly defends it.

The issue is River state is not hidden. The crisis between Wike and Amaechi is a major issue. But you need to see the good part of it. Wike knows that if he does not perform he will be thrown out. Amaechi keeps him on his toes everyday. Wike is not called Mr. Project for nothing. He did not send the soldiers to snatch ballot boxes. Soldiers are answerable to the president through the respective command structures. The votes already counted clearly showed Wike ahead. The people of Rivers voted him. All the house seats declared were won by PDP. Do not expect AAC to wake up just two days to the election and produce the governor.
PropertiesRe: The Story Of Woman Losing 5 Kids In A Collapsed Building Is False - AutoReportNG by Cantonese: 5:01pm On Mar 13, 2019
saints2:
We all heard the breaking news today of a building in Ita Faaji where the unfortunate incident happen where a 3-storey building collapse. According to the information being made to AutoReportNG.com, this is as a result of a digging within the area. We are meant to understand that there is a digging going on maybe from the Local Government or from a private individual, we can't verify that but it seems the digging affected the foundation of this building.

It is however shocking and sick to see headlines that a woman lost her 5 children, this is a lie from the pit of hell. AutoReportNG is currently at Onikan Health Centre as at press time and we are yet to hear any of this story.

2. Rescue is still on-going at the site of the building, this is done with the efforts of the Lagos State Emergency and the Area Boys within this area... kudos must be given to these guys, they took up the challenge when the government workers are running back.

3. As at 2pm, more bodies are rescued from the site of the accident, according to our live source, 3 more children are brought out alive!

So, where is the confirmation of a woman loosing her 5 children? Where is the proof and also, where is the woman?

In as much as today is a black Wednesday for Lagos and for Nigeria because we have lost our bundles of joy, it will be neccessary to verfiy all stories before we jumped at it in order to make a new. Even if the story is confirmed, is it a thing of joy?

Please, let's be ware of fakes news.

It's 4.33pm and the ambulance services are still bringing in some rescued children.

God bless Nigeria.

Why is the yellow payloader right on top of the affected area? That payloader is very heavy and it will further add pressure to the affected area if there is anyone right under the spot.

Next is that fact of this wickedness and greed in our country. That particular house had been twice marked for demolition by government as we just heard on Arise Tv. It is being beemed live. Someone may have collected bribe and removed the destroyed house from the list of properties to be demolished.

Next I wonder why governor Amobode could not summon the political will to issue the order to demolish dilapidated houses in Lagos Island and Ebute metta particularly. Fashola actually did it with the controlled demolition method that he applied. When will human lives be valued in this country?

The affected school was actually at the top of the house which was a residential building with tenants below. How did someone sign the approval to have a school sited there with children younger than 6 years old. It is wickedness of the wicked. The proprietress was rescued from the rubble.

Let's keep praying for the innocent children. For me some government officials MUST be jailed. Even the emergency rescue people got there very late. What kind of wickedness is this?
PoliticsRabiu Kwankwanso - Very Silent, Very Efficient by Cantonese(op):
When in 2018 Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwanso decided he had seen enough of the APC he chose to return to his old and well known home and base, PDP. To the powers in charge within the APC it did not matter.

Having informed us all through his spokesman about his plan, he eventually decamped. One thing was very pronounced about the composure of Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwanso and that was his silence. Upon his decamping he promised to remove Ganduje from the governor's office. Ganduje told Kwankwanso that mathematically it would never happen. Ganduje was banking on the popularity of Buhari in the north west forgetting that Kwankwanso is an iroko tree. Kwankwanso kept his silence.

Kwankwanso planned to visit his own state, Kano, but the governor, Ganduje, claiming all sorts of negatives ensured that Kwankwanso remained in Abuja. Kwankwanso kept his silence and faced his work. Ganduje at all opportunities would tell us how he had worked so hard, how Kwankwanso had become nobody in Kano, how members of PDP had decamped to APC and how he single handedly would deliver 5 million votes to Buhari. Kwankwanso kept silent. Shekarau went back to APC along with Professor Hafiz, the deputy governor and others, Kwankwanso kept silent.

One day Kwakwanso visited Kano and the great Kwankwansiyya movement came alive again. Campaign also came and Ganduje saw the intimidating crowd. Ganduje said the crowd was fake! Kwankwanso kept silent.

Election came in Kano. Voters thumbprinted to Buhari. Ganduje's political blindness did not let him think about possibilities in his political future. He failed to read the political barometer. He thought that with what he saw during the presidential election, Kano state was already in the bag for APC. When Bola Tinubu was calling the different caucuses in the south west and compelling them to vote APC with good assurances upon their successes, no such from Ganduje and as usual we did not hear Kwankwanso's voice.

Governorship election came on the 9th of March and after counting of the votes we saw with Kwankwanso how it pays to know your group and work underground. PDP currently leads APC with roughly 26,000 votes. So far Kwankwanso has delivered over 1 million votes to PDP. Kwankwanso has still maintained his silence. Ganduje has failed to deliver 1 million votes at a time in the two elections so far.

Ganduje has been going to the press to say "no shaking". Ganduje should be reminded that " na like play butterfly dey enter bush". How can Ganduje overcome the margin now seeing that Kwankwansiyya movement will ensure that PDP get most of the votes with the clear and very honest CP in Kano state who has ensured fairness and equity.
Kwankwanso has still maintained his silence and has been doing his work underground. It is said that "action speaks louder than words".

Ganduje going...going!

I think Lagos island and Ebute metta are the areas where you find the worst build story buildings. Now many families are left crying because of the evil hearts of some - get rich quick - landlords. May God's power set the trapped free.

What goes around comes around! Just as Akpabio tried to rubbish those who made him, his so called political son has rubbished him. He contrived to get Aloysius Etuok to concede the senatorial seat to him and Etuok decamped to APC. He contrived to force people away from PDP to APC. He claimed that Engr. Chris Ekpeyong deceived him and made him decamp to APC while Ekpeyong remained in the PDP. He overrated himself. Now see the result. Loss of his seat as the senate minority leader, loss of his status as godfather in Akwa Ibom. Worse if he contemplates to decamp back to PDP he has no role to play there. How are the mighty fallen!

Bros may I ask one you one question please? Does your first name start with any of the following alphabets, H, P or S? Meaning hardship poverty and suffering.

And what prize pdp took over in 1999? Let me analyze in case u don't know

1. They said when Buhari took over from them a bag of rice was N11,500 but they took over when it was N2,500

2. They said when Buhari took over from them ltr of petrol was N87 but they took over when it was N11.

3. They said when Buhari took over from them $1 was N235 but they took over when it was N20.

4. They said when Buhari took over from them a bag of cement was N2,000 but they took over when it was N400.

ANALYSIS BETWEEN APC and PDP GOVERNMENT OF I6YEARS AND 31/2YEARS

ON MAJOR COMMODITIES

Rice
APC-N15,000-N11,500 =N4,500
PDP-N11,500-N2,500 =N9,000

PETROL
APC N145-N87 =N58
PDP N87-N11 =N76

U.S $
APC N360-N235 =N125
PDP N235-N20 =N215

CEMENT
APC-N2,500-N2,000 =N500
PDP-N2,000-N400 =N1,600

Who then created povertyhuh
Brother your details are absolutely wrong! May I respectfully ask you how old you were between dec. 31, 1983 & aug 1985 when Buhari was the head of state and Tunde Idiagbon his deputy. The reasons why they were overthrown by Babangida/Abacha, etc, were highhandedness and poverty in the land. That regime was characterised by many cases of soldiers breaking open peoples shops, selling their essential commodities and making away with their money. Life became harsh for Nigerians. When they were removed Nigerians were happy and relieved.

Be reminded that when PDP took over in 1999, a bag of the best quality rice sold for between 4,000 and 5,500. The 2,500 that you quoted was the price of 1993 - 1995.

The pound sterling as at 1996 was at #130 - £1. At least I imported goods into the country that year and the dollar was @$1 - #60. The rate of #20 - $1 that you quoted existed between 1992 and 1993 just before the 12/06/1993 election.

My brother so also goes for other items/things that you quoted. Every Nigerian who had come of age, every Nigerian who was working or doing some form of business, every Nigerian who was handling some financial responsibility, every Nigerian who was concerned about the affairs of this country as of 1999 knows all the rates including the political leaders in the APC.

The problem sometimes that people have is blind followership. When things go wrong we must honestly admit it and hold leadership responsible. APC appealed to us all in 2015 on the grounds of morality and with evidence of looting on the part of PDP. We all saw it and booted that government out. That is the was it should be. Why is it difficult for some people to admit the truth that in this government the word "intergrity" has taken another dimension? Can you honestly say that APC is filled with incorrigible men and women? If so should I then remind you of some so called men and women of intergrity currently serving in this government but who are being protected?

The truth my friend is that this particular government had no clear cut economic plan. That's why we are still in the economic wilderness and the government still telling stories of how PDP wasted 16 years. We no longer one year to waste as far as development is concerned. Embezzelment is the very compelling reason why our politicians want to get power. If not so APC will not be in this do or die affair to hold on to power or capture PDP state.

You think about it. Our president promised to end medical tourism. Can you ever hear how much has been spent on his several visits abroad to fix his health? Why must he remain in power? If he is severely sick why won't he simply retire and go back to Daura. The only reason that can be adduced is power and the money he makes as a president. So also are other men and women across political parties. Cut off sentiments and see clearly my friend.

The day we begin to hold leadership accountable irrespective of political party, that day we begin the move out of the wilderness that Nigeria has been led into by power hungry politicians.

Ogboru and pride work hand in hand. By the gentlemen agreement existing among the people there 2015 - 2023 belongs to Delta north. Ogboru continues to be in the wrong party in Delta state. Added to that he wants to scatter the political agreement. Can the people of Delta north allow Ogboru to take away their opportunity? Never! Delta central where he comes from will vote PDP because 2023 is their year and they expect a return of favour from Delta north. Even then by 2023 who in Urhobo land, a PDP candidate, will he beat. His best bet is to battle senatorial seat in 2023 when Omo Agege will contest governorship.

Aside every politician in Delta state knows that Okowa is a grassroots man. Ogboru cannot uproot him.
