OVA200: I've always been critical of the way Chelsea handles under age players and their youth team and I know it will eventually at one point get to this. What a bad time to be handed this ban when everything is going bad;
no manager will want to take over the from sarri if sacked;
Sarri won't mind losing his job anymore because he know he will be difficult to replace;
no new signing to equip them for coming season;
big players might look for a way out;
it might delay their new stadium plan;
Things are about to get from bad to worse for Chelsea.

mycar: The only problem I have with APC is their intellectual handicap, no technocrats among them, all of them are radicals
All intellectuals in the Buhari become highly unintellectual very speedily. Have you not seen them always finding it very easy to lie but very hard to defend even their own lies. Even they take down notes but they do not seem to understand what they write down with their own hands. Sorry for APC.
stephenduru: According to the story shared by Ivur,Fulani herdsmen yesterday attacked a market in Guma and kille two persons.Below is what he wrote....
'Fulani militant attack iye mkt in Guma yesterday around 8pm, killed two persons and burnt a beer pallor'
Thanks a lot to the midget called ElRufai and his attempt to set this nation on tribal and religious war. Hopefully we can all see that the Fulani herdsmen were only asked to calm down for a little while. In Benue the herdsmen and their sponsors must be voted out.
Lé snatché ballot boxé , le shoot, le travellé et meet ancêtre(ancestors).
My brother honestly speaking between PDP and APC who is more desperate at the moment? APC cannot present candidates in two states and that gives PDP very great advantage. Who controls the thugs, motor parks and touts in Lagos? APC. Who's primaries and rallies have been marred with killings and destruction? APC. Who needs to remain in power at all costs? APC. Which party is ruling and plays the opposition at the same time? APC. Which party has the brighter chances to win? PDP. Which party has intellectuals who are very ATIKULATE and reasonable? PDP. Which party has intellectuals who are confused and never reason properly? APC. Look at the physical appearance of the leaders of both parties. Which side has more lively looking people? PDP. Look at Tinubu, always wearing oversized clothes. Look at Oshiomole, head like rock. Look at El Rufai, pinchomic and looking like someone from Congo. You need to wait to find out who stole the card readers. And for your information if they did not lose their lives as stated by President Buhari, then they may likely be the party using headache medicine.
Bigmugu: Popular Nigerian Billionaire Business Man Femi Otedola, Shows off his voters Card to proves he Fully ready to participate in the Electoral process on Saturday.
Otedola also made it clear that Nigerians will make their Decision on Saturday.
Fully Atikulated Femi Otedola, just like his friend Dangote. APC/Buhari reduced Dangote's networth from $20.5 billion to $10 billion. How do you expect such men to follow APC?
The social media aide to the Nigerian President, Mrs Lauretta Onochie, Wednesday, reeled out facts to prove that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari was indeed a man of his words. Lauretta Onochie Buhari, who came to power democratically in 2015 promised Nigerians ‘CHANGE’, which undoubtedly, was achieved in spite of the economic recession that struck the country in 2017. Buhari, in his three and half years declared war against insurgency, corruption and economic hardship. His administration is winning the war gradually. Recall that Vanguard had published a statement by Femi Adesina were he listed 10 things Nigerians should know about their economy, and how Buhari has achieved so much in the economic sector. However, following the alleged report by Niger Deltans on marginalization, Onochie took out time to number out projects which President Muhammadu Buhari has completed and some still ongoing in the region. She said that Buhari constructed Otuoke road, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s village which he (Jonathan) could not construct when he was the president. “Otuoke, his own village, had no road leading to it nor water. Along with water, the road has only been constructed by the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, a man so much hatred has been galvanized against in the Niger Delta.” Read her full statement below: Under Buhari, The Abandoned Niger Delta Has Been A Construction Site.
I have always held and opined that leadership is about meeting the needs of the people. It’s not about having my brother or sister in position of leadership, unless such a brother or sister has the competence to deliver the dividends of democracy to ALL. I’m worried we’re not allowed to participate in some Rivers’ elections – Buhari Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian, PhD, and core Niger Delta son, led this nation for six years. The Niger-Delta has little or nothing to show for it. Otuoke, his own village, had no road leading to it nor water. Along with water, the road has only been constructed by the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, a man so much hatred has been galvanized against in the Niger Delta. But the people know better and they know who their leader is. They know the one who truly loves them; they know the one who cares about them; they know the one that is bringing development to their region; they know the one who is fighting their corner; they know it is President Muhammadu Buhari. Here are some of the projects that are either under construction in the Niger Delta or completed, just some of them. Credit to whoever compiled this. Thank you.
The construction of US$186 million (N65 Billion), 240MW, Power Plant in Afam, Oyigbo, Rivers State. (commenced in 2016, in partnership with General Electric. Project almost completed).
Construction of 120 billion Naira Bonny-Bodo Road in Rivers State, jointly funded by the Federal Government and NLNG. (Project ongoing).
3) The construction of a 459MW Azura Power Plant in Edo State, in partnership with the private sector. Approvals for the US$900 million (N315 Billion) project were given by President Buhari, leading to commencement of construction in 2016. Project completed in May 2018, seven months ahead of schedule.
4) Payment of N1.3 trillion statutory arrears to the NDDC, this money was owed to the commission by all governments of the PDP in an oil boom. Buhari is doing this in a recession. Before this payment, the NDDC has turned may communities in the region into a construction site.
5) Construction of Cassava Processing Plants in six Niger Delta Communities. The communities are Mbutu community in Aboh Mbaise LGA and Okweketa Umuekwune in Ngor-Okpala LGA, Imo State; Ibeku Village, Umuahia, in Abia State; Wanakom in Yala LGA, Cross River State; Gbarantoro, Ekpetiama in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State and Bah Lueku, Nyokalena Village in Khana LGA of Rivers State, Igbotako in Okitipupa LGA of Ondo State.
6) In partnership with the IOCs, Payment of initial $10m (3.5 billion) for kickoff of Ogoni Clean Up. Facilitation of the Clean Up exercise, leading to initial payment of $177m (N62billion) for the first year of the clean up. 15% of this amount already paid to 16 contractors for mobilisation, leading to site mobilisation recently. Over 20,000 persons already given medical services, and 400 surgeries carried out in the medical aspect of the clean up. Procurement for water provision ongoing. And preparation for second year of remediation ongoing. Training and employment of indigenes of Ogoni to work in the project.
7) Completion of new Port Harcourt International Airport Terminal. Police, INEC ready for Feb. 23 elections in C’River Completion of the 60km Alesi–Ugep Road in Cross River State; contract awarded for 72km section from Odukpani Junction to Ugep.
9) Ongoing construction of Modular Refineries in Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom States. Delta own is almost concluded. This is a way to involve Niger Delta indigenes in their own oil, something they’ve been clamouring for in years but nobody, not even their “brother” could provide for them.
10) Water Projects: Completed Ogwashi-Uku Dam, Delta State;
Completed Ekeremor Water Supply Project, Edo State;
Completed Northern Ishan Regional Water Supply Project, serving Ugboha and Uromi communities of Edo State;
Completed Rehabilitation of Ojirami Dam Water Supply Project, Edo State;
Completed Central Ogbia Regional Water Project in Bayelsa State.
11) Social Investment Programme: 85,000 N-Power Beneficiaries in the South South; School Feeding has kicked off in 3 of the six States: Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Delta. 214 women who specialize in Poultry and Snail Production were given between N350,000 to N500,00 Each, 198 women and youths in the Niger-Delta region were trained on ICT & business hub, poultry & fish production, under PMB’s administration, 60 youths from the Niger-Delta region were also trained on assemblage and repair of phones.
12) Kick off of Federal Maritime University in Delta State, to the praise of many Niger Delta leaders. Academic activities commenced in 2018. NDDC currently constructing a 69Km link road and bridges to the university. Oil-producing communities draw up template to manage 13% derivation
13) Work is now ongoing on the East-West Road after it was abandoned by previous administration.
14) Ongoing dualisation of Yenegwe Road Junction-Kolo-Otuoke-Bayelsa Palm.
15) Ongoing rehabilitation of Sections 1 to 4 of the Enugu — Port Harcourt Expressway. 16) Rehabilitation of Calabar–Itu–Odukpani Road that links Akwa-Ibom to Cross River (ongoing). 17) Construction f 25KM Ogbia/Nembe road in Bayelsa State costing N21 Billion. Project already 100% completed.
18) Buhari dealt with the so called Niger Delta Avengers, putting Tompolo on the run till today. He eliminated the threat of Don Wanney in Rivers State. The government, through NIMASA, bought several speedboats to deal with the threat of pirates on our waterways.
19) Nimasa engaged 3,752 seafarers, 1,000 of them from Rivers state alone.
20) Many Niger Delta States were unable to pay salary before Buhari took over. But through his comprehensive bailout program to state governments, these States were able to begin to pay salary. This is why all governors in the country love him today
What a foolish talk. I think Buhari's people keep hallucinating everyday. Each day they show us how unprepared they were when they won the election.
Who is more tribalistic than our present president. For all the years Obasanjo was president he did not fix OTA roads. 5 days after he left power it took him hours to get to NOUN Victoria Island and back.
Jonathan did not fix Otuoke roads but he built universities in the whole of the north. He built new roads in the whole of the north leaving behind his own state. He ensured equity and fairness as a president.
Out of his tribal sentiments the current president is building rail road across his state to Niger republic. Yet the NBS says the poverty index in his Katsina state is at 73.1%. Is Bayelsa state wallowing in poverty? NO.
Which is better? The one whose intergrity claim is corrupted, racist, completely tribal and biased, who is totally racist or the one who remains a statesman who ensured equity across the nation?
Just two days ago Predident Buhari informed everyone about his instruction to security men. He told Nigerians that those who would snatch ballot boxes would do so at the expense of their lives.
I wonder if that instruction was given because of the fear APC has of PDP. Or did the president say it just for the sake of instilling fear in the people.
One man tried to unsuccessfully defend the president's statement and that man is Bola Tinubu.
With what we saw in the Ekiti and Osun elections. With what we saw in the APC primaries. We saw killings, grievious bodily harm and ballot snatching. Ballot box snatching is synonymous with Nigerian politicians across political divide.
Just recently in one APC rally, a certain man called MC Oluomo was stabbed in the neck. We have been given some names of APC thugs in Lagos and another popular name is Kunle Poly. We have been told that these men answer to the APC strongman. We have been told that these men and others have been used in Lagos and parts of the south west to cause mayhem during elections.
We have seen the restriction placed on APC in Zamfara and Rivers states. Already PDP is 2 - 0 ahead in terms of governorship seats and HOA won. Delta state is dangling in the air for APC also.
Just a random sampling of opinion among people on the streets confirms the popularity of Atiku over Buhari.
Who is more likely to deploy ballot box snatchers? What will happen in vulnerable areas like riverine arears where there are usually high incidences? In the areas where ordinarily APC should win but they find themselves loosing?
In the debate with Kadira the president was asked if he would step down if he lost. The president could not answer either yes or no. He said "it is not possible". With such a declaration who needs ballot box snatchers more?
What will happen to APC thugs caught snatching ballot boxes? Will they be shot? What will happen to security men deployed to conspire with thugs? Who will shoot them?
Those who live in glass houses must not throw stones!
Guzel: I gave up on Dino when he said that Not just akpabio, he also said Orji Uzor Kalu, uduaghan, Ken Nnamani and others. By Saturday’s OUK will deliver Abia North and 40 percent of Abia votes. Uduaghan will deliver his zone. Akpabio will deliver Akwa Ibom state Nnamani will deliver his area Then Dino will retire to his pseudo anti Corruption fight
Hahahaha. Bros you are not even current. For your information Uduaghan is struggling now for his candidature with the court pronouncement in favour of Okorodudu in Delta south. Aside from 1999 - 2003 all attempts by Orji Uzor have failed woefully. With one term to go no other zone in Akwa Ibom will allow the Eket people exceed their second term which ends with Emmanuel Udom in 2003. Ndima Ekere is an Eket man, if he wins that will be three terms for the Eket. Where e go take back enter? Nnamani is retired as a politician. What does Melaye mean by retired politicians? He refers to those ex governors who spent 8 years looting their states like Akpabio and have retired to the house of assembly as senators. Are they politically relevant in their states? From what you have been seeing across the country, abeg bros, use your tongue count your teeth.
kahal29: The acting Inspector General of Police (IG) Mohammed Adamu Tuesday in Abuja, echoed President Muhammadu Buhari, threatening that anyone who engages in ballot box snatching during Saturday’s poll will face the music.
Adamu, who issued the threat while briefing journalists after a meeting of service chiefs, including the IG with Buhari in the State House, said the heads of security agencies met with the president, reviewed the security situation in the country and resolved to ensure adequate security during the polls.
According to him, thuggery, touting and ballot box snatching during the polls will be met with grave resistance.
By his declaration, the IG was only echoing Buhari who at the national caucus’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party secretariat in Abuja on Monday, said he had ordered the security agents to deal ruthlessly with anyone who snatches ballot boxes or attempts to undermine the integrity of the polls even at the cost of his own life.
Buhari also said any politician portraying himself to be popular in his domain and hence hoping to exploit such popularity to hire thugs to snatch ballot boxes during the elections, will do so at the expense of his own life.
The president’s comment has however been condemned by many, who reminded him that the punishment for ballot box snatching is imprisonment for a period of time and not instant death as threatened by the president.
But the IG restated the president’s threat, insisting that whoever engages in any criminal act on election day should be prepared to bear the consequence.
However, Adamu encourages law abiding citizens to freely go out on Saturday and cast their votes without any fear of molestation.
He assured citizens that security agents will duly protect them and guarantee their safety.
“Today, members of the security community and intelligence community came and briefed Mr. President on the security situation in the country.
“We deliberated on the consequences and came up with the resolve to further provide adequate security within the country so that the electorate will come out and cast their votes without any fear of molestation.
“Every Nigerian is encouraged to come out on the election day and cast his or her vote without any fear of molestation. The security personnel are ready and prepared to protect everybody.
“Anybody that feels that he can come out and disrupt process should have a rethink because that situation will not be allowed. If you plan and allow yourself to be used as touts, whatever happens to you, you will take it.
“Ballot box snatching, ballot buying, thuggery will never be allowed. Anybody that is planning to snatch ballot boxes or planning to be used as a tout, will have him or herself to blame on election day. So, you better don’t allow yourself to be used,” he threatened.
So what will happen to the likes of MC Oluomo and Kunle Poly who are known thugs of Tinubu and APC? What will happen to the policemen themselves who on their own snatch ballot boxes or protect their own supporters who would snatch ballot boxes. We saw the APC primaries filled with violence and discontentment. Many cases are in court regarding the APC. They do not have candidates in Zamfara and Rivers. Delta has a very serious case in court and Ogboru very likely will lose the case. Rivers APC threatened hell and brimstone if they do not participate. Looking at it which party is more likely to rig of the two? Is it PDP that technically has two states ahead already or the APC that is still behaving like the opposition party? Do you not think that the threat of the president is just to make people believe that all is well whereas he has given the security agencies instruction to protect APC? In normal democracies where institutions have been built their presidents do not need to give orders to the police as they already know their jobs. My take on this is that APC has read the political barometer and done the political arithmetic and found out that they have lost the election.

Afospecialk: VOTING FOR Atiku AND PDP IS LIKE COMMITTING POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC SUICIDE
Atiku DONT SELL OUR ECONOMY ASSETS TO YOUR FRIENDS IN DUBAI AND YOUR BOSS IN AMERICA
Atiku PLS LEAVE NIGERIA ALONE AND GO BACK TO CAMEROON
8 YEARS OF Atiku IN OFFICE HE ONLY USED IT TO SELLOFF OVER 100 NIGERIA ECONOMIC ASSETS AND LOOTER HALF OF THE MONEY
Atiku AND PDP AGENDAS ARE
1)TO SELLOFF OUR MAJOR ECONOMIC RESOURCES 2)PUT NAIRA ON FREE FLOW 3)GRANT AMNESTY TO CRIMINALS 4)ENSLAVE NIGERIANS TO HIS AMERICAN BOSSES 5)ENRICH HIS FRIENDS WITH NIGERIA TREASURY
OPERATIONS SAY NO TO CHIEF THIEF Atiku
Infact it will be better to sell you too as a property! MUNTULA.
Kagawa10: Nigeria situation could be likened to a market woman who sells 20 number of corns at a rate of 110 naira per each daily. Years later, the market leaders eventually reduced and controlled the price at 50 naira. The market woman is still expected to sell same 20 number of corns but nothing higher than this. Tell me if the woman's income would increase or decrease? However, if the woman had saved enough when the corn was still priced at 110 naira, she wouldn't be affected by the fall in sales price, pending the time sale price would increase once again.
That's the situation of Nigeria today. When crude oil which is our main source of foreign revenue was selling at $110 per barrel for more than 5 years under Jonathan, Jonathan didn't save but looted us dry instead. We're suffering from this effect today now that crude oil has been selling at a poverty rate of $50 per barrel for the past 4 years under Buhari yet Buhari administration has had so many projects undertaken by him despite earning 60% less.
If only people knew what other oil countries such as Angola and Venezuela are passing through during this global crude oil price recess, they would thank God Buhari came in rather than Jonathan who looted us dry despite oil boom when crude oil was selling at $110 per barrel for five years unlike the paltry $50 it has been selling under APC. If the looting Jonathan couldn't save during the time of plenty and was already borrowing, how would he have carried on during this crude oil price recess?
Despite Buhari administration earning 60% less yet he's come up with plenty projects such as
Our railways at itakpewarri, Lagos-ibadan, Lagos-Abeokuta, kaduna-abuja etc,
The production of low cost fertilizers,
Zik maoseleum
Baro inland port,
Kaduna inland dry port,
Port Harcourt airline terminal,
Abuja airline terminal,
Rice mills,
Foreign reserve increase from $26b to $43b,
Construction of our express highways such as enuguonitsha, Lagos-ibadan etc,
Several bail out funds,
Social policy schemes such as tradermoni, npower etc
Payment of all pensions of airline staffs that were forced to retire after the shambolic privatisation by Atiku. PDP didn't pay them in the last 16 years.
And most especially, stabilizing us through this recession which happened because jonathan failed to save despite earning 60% more than Buhari. Note that there has been a fall in the price of crude oil from $110 per barrel in 5 years under Jonathan to a paltry $50 per barrel under Buhari administration yet Buhari was able to keep us afloat while having many projects undertaken by him, thereby surprising Ngozi Iweala and Charles Soludo who predicted recession because jonathan looted and failed to save during the time of plentiful.
Sai Baba. PDP, Neva again
Sorry for you. One of the blind and bewitched. Did you hear that 91 million Nigerians are now in poverty? That came up 6 days ago. Did you hear from the current finance minister that the policies of Buhari caused hardship in the land? Do you remember all the promises of APC before 29th may 2015? You sound like the woman who made it her policy to receive bribe from her husband before sex. You and your likes are in deep sleep bro, wake up. Corruption started in the military era and has enveloped the society. Ask APC/Buhari what happens to his own security votes please.
morili: You may be here on Nairaland clicking like and share but the people that will vote know what they want.
This is a Kwara state PDP house of reps candidate driving through a road that has been abandoned. He was going for campaign. I don't know the lies he was planning to tell the people but the people were smart to stop him from entering their community.
Let the idiots block even their own ears. The truth is that we have had enough of the violent APC party. The truth is jealousy of the success of Saraki in Kwara is driving Lai Mohammed and his group mad. After reducing 91 million Nigerians to poverty APC wants to go to the next level. If Kwarans want to remain in poverty that is their business. The truth is that all reasonable and rational Nigerians have moved away from Apc. Secure your PVC and vote them out this saturday. It must be good riddance to bad rubbish.
AutoReportNG: Though the election may have been rescheduled due to some logistics reasons being cited by the INEC Chair, we seem to be getting some heartbreaking news on the hour. According to reports, it was reported that two buses carrying sensitive materials to Obot Akara local government in Akwa Ibom state got burnt and two persons were reportedly died.
Two persons have been killed in Akwa Ibom state after an attack on buses carrying sensitive materials to Obot Akara local government area, the buses were accompanied by NYSC corp members who will serve as polling officers in their various locations.
The buses which were also conveying election personnel were set on fire and some of the drivers were wounded with machetes. It was reported by a corp member that they have to run for their lives and some spent the night in the bush.
Why must it be only in the states where APC has no hope? Why must it not be in APC controlled states? Anyway APC controlled states very soon will reduce to 10 or less.
Traditionally our presidents travel to their respective towns/villages to cast their votes during elections.
Millions of Nigerians travelled also over the last few days to carry out their civic responsibilities, at great personal expenses and sacrifices.
There was this very great expectation that elections would happen today. Alas we were confronted first thing this morning with news of the postponement of the election.
APC campaign council man was not "happy" about the postponement and blamed the PDP.
I wonder then if the president/APC were not aware ahead of the said postponement.
Does anyone know if our president Buhari travelled to Daura yesterday or before to cast his vote. If he did not, one can safely conclude that he was briefed early enough about the postponement and he/APC have some funny plans prepared.
edego2up: . So the foolish are still articulating,for this evil foreigner to sell off our nnpc to America and aso rock to UK ,however Nigerians will disappoint them .any evil meetings by dino and others,, holy host fire>>>>
Ignorance is very dangerous at this age. At the stage where we have found ourselves as a nation, anyone still following Buhari/APC is fast heading to the desert of extreme poverty, hardship and suffering. I feel sorry for all of you blind followers.
I have over this campaign period been looking at members of the campaign teams of Atiku and Buhari.
For me it appears that Atiku carefully handpicked a team of bright minded, highly intellectual, properly grounded, focused men and women. On the hand even though Buhari's team is loaded with educated people, they seem to be highly uninformed and lack ideas. At each debate the Buhari/APC teams are easily swept aside by the Atiku/PDP teams.
Even the uneducated have ideas on where Atiku is going and they are able to make very clear and coherent statements.
The question I ask is this "will a second term for APC/Buhari move this country forward truly"? Notice that our president is very tired and clearly physically weak and suffers memory loss. Without him can APC move Nigeria to the next level?
So why are people accusing Ali Modu Sheriff and Ali Ndume only as boko haram sponsors. Now we can see that there are other sponsors and beneficiaries. That is why the menace will be difficult. Now also because Buba Marwa belongs to the APC and he is expected to deliver Adamawa state, he is "set free from his sins" even as he has confessed to having such deep rooted relationship with boko haram. One can now see what Jonathan was talking about. While his government was busy trying to root out boko haram Buba Marwa was hiding them in his house. He was made an ambassador under the PDP regime. He got away with all his loot as a military man. Sincerely there should be no delay in arresting thid hypocrite and jailing him. What a wicked man. Making his people in the north suffer, lose their lives while he was making money with.their blood.
Seetto: Otoge , tinubu legacy has brought remarkable achievements for Lagos, what has your legacy brought for kwara people, poverty at its peak, absolutely infrastructure deficits.....
Fine man, please tell us some of Tinubu's achievements in Lagos. Tell us also how far Lagos has prospered under AD/ACN/APC since 1999 till date.
AreaNews: The Supreme Court has commenced hearing of the three appeals filed by the two factions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in River State led by Ibrahim Umah and Ojukaye Amachree.
During the proceeding on Monday in Abuja, the court heard arguments for and against the ruling of the Court of Appeal which stayed execution of the judgment by Justice Chiwendu Nwogu.
Justice Nwogu had in his jugdement barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising the primaries conducted by the Rivers APC wherein Mr Tonye Cole and others were nominated to represent the party in the coming general elections.
This is just another opportunity for lawyers to make more money. Another "hoping for nothing" to the APC. Supreme court cannot overrule itself. Judgement was given last week.
Both APC, Lagos state government and the trailer drivers should hide their faces in shame. Who are they deceiving? The president knows the situation of the road. Everyday one story or the other from the APC. Who can point to one single infrastructure project proposed and executed by the APC led government since we all massively and erronously voted in their favour in 2015?
happney65: Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on Nigerians to “dump Obasanjo in the dustbin”.
He also accused Obasanjo of being behind the greatest election rigging in the history of the country.
He stated this in his remarks at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Saturday, during the APC presidential campaign rally.
However, while accusing Obasanjo of rigging the election that brought Yar’Adua into power, he also made a gaffe, stating that the election was conducted in 2003, instead of 2007.
His words: “Obasanjo came and we taught them that there is no other way for business evolution and revolution without steady power supply. I introduced independent power generation. What did he do? He and Atiku opposed it. I went to court and Osinbajo was my lawyer. I won in court and we started generating 300MW; the first state to do it. Imagine 1999, if Nigeria had made that dedication to electricity generation, you will not see Dunlop, Michelin move out of this country. Look at our roads; look at the vehicular density of Lagos alone. And they call one man Obi somewhere in one party. He said he will create jobs. He has not been able to tell us how we can make brake pads, wheel spanner on our own for those vehicles. And he said, maybe we should extend the port to Benin Republic, so that we can clear our cargo faster. I call that one ‘container economy, Obi China’.
“Who sent Michelin out of this country? PDP right? Who got rid of Dunlop Manufacturing Company? Who sent Siemens out of this country? They want to take that money and the business of this country, back to their friends in Europe and America again.
“I want to sympathise with our friends, our foreign observers. You’re welcome. Observe what you need to observe, write your report in peace and go home. This is our democracy. America is still questioning its own democracy. We’re watching CNN; Trump and China, Trump and Russia. Interference in the largest African democracy is what we are saying. G-20, in year 2003, asked Umaru Shehu Yar’Adua of blessed memory, ‘what are you going to do with the election in Nigeria?’ He said: ‘The election that brought me as president of this country is flawed and I will reform it’. Is that not correct? Who conducted that election? Obasanjo is the greatest election rigger in this country. He’s an expired meat. Dump him in the dustbin. Forget Obasanjo.”
Also present at the event were President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Adams Oshiomhole, the APC National Chairman, as well as governors and other party leaders.
Ungrateful Tinubu. When Tinubu and ACN joined Buhari/CPC in 2014 to form APC they needed someone who could help them wrest power from Jonathan/PDP. That person was Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Vividly I can remember when Tinubu visited Chief Obasanjo in his Ota home. Tinubu said father and son must settle their quarrels. He likened himself to the son and Chief Obasanjo to the father.
Their is a saying "he who sleeps with an old woman and thereafter places her private part on fire should remember that his reason for sleeping with her may recur some other day".
Placed side by side it is not a hidden fact that the two of them are not of the same level. If not for the joining of ACN and CPC Tinubu would have remained a regional champion and a tribalist. Obasanjo is respected not just all over the nation but all over the world. Unfortunately Chief Obasanjo is not respected by some very tribalistic and racially inclined south west leaders like Tinubu.
Tinubu is like the child who has twenty coins in his hands and equates it to 20 days. He can continue to frolick with his group thinking that it will last for long. It is no secret anymore how he was sidelined by Buhari and the northern oligarchy in APC after 2015. As usual they brought him out of political obscurity to help them arrange things leading to the removal of Chief Oyegun.
Tinubu's defeat is at hand. I believe sooner than he ever imagined. This time he will be consigned to the dustbin of political history.
