The entire Delta state was dominated by PDP until Omo Agege became a factor in 2019.

The loss of areas this year arose as a factor of the slackness of PDP. Okowa further angered people when he joined Atiku. That further cost PDP and allowed LP/Obi to make inroads.

From what I know on ground here in Delta state presently, PDP has started to recover grounds. After the elections, there was anger among members of PDP and those who acted against the party faced backlashes. Since they won the state, they became stronger and I believe that Sheriff will not give APC/LP any more inch.
