Politics / Re: Jolly Mood After Meeting of South-West APC Leaders (Photos) by Canvass: 7:08am On Jun 05, 2022 |
Yes, they fought a good fight, mounting pressure until the North agreed with them along with some strong minded Southerners like Wike. It would be even nobler for them to come together and tell us they too agree to go East. Imagine the respect they too would earn. However, wishes are not horses. The mad politicking goes on. 78 Likes 8 Shares |

Nigerians are veritable guinea pigs. Good as lab rats for everything negative. Little wonder they call us "happiest people" on earth. How I wish we can pull an Arab Spring here in Naija and stop the obvious experimentation. 1 Like 1 Share |

[quote author=Clinton39 post=112869902] Well... Your findings/observations are right, science students tend to dominate the top scorers...but I don't really agree with your assumption that only science students are brilliant, because I have seen some really bright chaps in the Arts al Hmmmm. |
Education / Re: Jamb/utme Thread For 2022 by Canvass: 10:21pm On May 15, 2022 |
I noticed that the science students are scoring high while art and commercial students are just average. Most 300+ I have seen are science students. I also noticed that the top ten highest-scoring utme students for the last 3 years have been science students with engineering students being very dominant. Is there possibly a cause for this or are all the brilliant ones in science classes or my assumptions are wrong? 2 Likes |

Frigga13: Obed Azikiwe, Zik's father might have sold his soul for a penny, hoping his son rule the federation but not all Igbo's are Azikiwes. Ojukwu fought a good war and lost with pride. Still not all Igbos are Ojukwu. Biafra is a spirit that would prevail, if not now, in future. However, my question is why not now? 29 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: APC Presidential Ticket: Osinbajo, Tinubu, Fayemi, Others Fail To Agree by Canvass: 1:13am On May 08, 2022 |
Before nko? How can Tinubu that has been working for Presidency for the past 16 years concede to anyone, or Osibanjo, with the backing of ex- presidents bar Jonathan and Buhari concede to anyone or Fayemi, buoyed by the usual disunity and betrayal curse of ancestor Afonja, concede to anyone! If you don't know, know now - "We die there" is the slogan. The slot belongs to the South-East and irrespective of the disunity amongst them, in the spirit of equity, it belongs to them. They will sort themselves out and present a candidate eventually. Let all others accept that and we shall have a country. |

Mooh247: Your brain is working and working properly. I'd love to hate you for being so blunt but I can't help loving you. When we get down to it, no court will ever tell a landlord to hand over his property to a tenant or allow a tenant to live in rented apartment perpectually without paying. It's a lost cause sooner or later. Why not seek, and pursue it like the Bible advised? If leaving would bring you peace of mind, why show anyone pepper? Fools die. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Crime / Re: Tambuwal To Emefiele: You’re Free To Run, But Leave Our Central Bank Alone by Canvass: 12:22am On May 08, 2022 |
Unzerious: That's not the point. All politicians paying 100 million naira are all rich enough in their own right. The question is if it is right to head Central Bank and still run for President without resigning. It's an ethical issue rather than personal sentiment, as all civil and public servants are supposed to resign before contesting for elective positions. For me, it's Peter Obi first, Yemi Osinbajo next and any other sensible person. 2 Likes |

Dreamhighnow: Peter Obi or Yemi Osinbajo for me. I can not fault Tinubu and Atiku for trying for so long and wanting it so bad but our federation needs a breather and this old guys do not have what we need. However, from what I foresee, its Tinibu against Atiku in the final race. Kill me if you like but it's just my frank opinion. |

MadamVanessa: As in...., they are never rich yet they keep doing it. Look at them closely, you will see them wearing cheap Ankara and looking haggard. It is really stupid. A girl doing dogs for 1.5 million naira and possibly hurting herself in the process is far better than a full grown man killing someone else for 50,000 naira. Smh. |

Mystery2020: I don't know the criteria for evaluation or the source but I like these statistics. Maybe, this should be taught among other things during career day talks. If I knew this while younger, I'd have been more careful in my choice of career. I no like wahala at all. You did not put entertainment industry, sports and criminality. These are important industries too, given Davido vs Whizkid, Ronaldo vs Messi and Hushpuppi vs Super Cop stories. 1 Like |
Nairaland / General / Re: Why I Prefer Reading News On Nairaland by Canvass: 8:18am On Apr 21, 2022 |
TheScientist: Nairaland entails what you said and so much more. I maintain that it's our local Quora and Reddit combined. For instance, as a writer, you need alpha readers, beta readers, proofreaders and critics before you can publish and these cost a lump sum of money. However, writers in the Literature Section of Nairaland are getting these things for free, both quantitatively and qualitatively. I just adore Nairaland despite more crazy people domiciled in the comment section. They add gloss to pages with their divergent, even if abnormal, submissions. 1 Like |

As long as you keep it up North, no problems. You brought this upon yourself in your stupid quest for power and absolute dominance. It's only unfortunate that Nigeria's Commonwealth is used to fund insurgency and counter-insurgency. To Goodluck Jonathan that refused to cling on to power knowing what you planned for the whole of Nigeria, I doff my hat. |

Dem just start. Bubu's regular trademark is to see people live impoverished lives in the name of growing the economy. it happened in 1983-1985, it has happened again. All the printers in my area have closed shop in the past two weeks cos they cannot afford the price of diesel, among other materials. That is how to grow the economy fast. |

You are already a confirmed hypocrite. You knew he was not your type but you allowed him to nurse your broken heart and fix your broken life. Do what you must in the name of love since you know what your heart wants. However, be sure that you will someday wish you listened to your brain rather than your heart. 1 Like |

Yes. Go through the regular ritual of making the right choices, working hard at whatever you do, maintaining good interpersonal relations relationships anywhere you find yourself, praying for luck and using your opportunity well whenever it comes. You may not be as rich as Dangote but you'll sure get by life comfortably enough. And I came under the sun and I saw a new thing, that the race is not to the swift, not food to the wise..........but time and chance happens to them all. 1 Like |

Mikelarteta: Nwafor Orizu was the third senate president After Nnamdi Azikiwe (quit senate presidency to be the ceremonial president in November 1960) and Dennis Osadebay (quit to be premier of Mid Western region). Orizu was in power for 6 months between 1965 and 1966 and he handed over power to Agunyi Aronsi. Stop feeding us with craps in form of info and tell us fact. What is that crap about second senate President? 3 Likes |
