alBHAGDADI:you are wrong like Satan. We baptize in the name of father, son and holy spirit? What does it mean to be baptized “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit”? Jesus said that his disciples would be baptized “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit.” ( Matthew 28:19 ) This means that a baptism candidate recognizes the authority of Jehovah God and of Jesus Christ. ( Psalm 83:18; Matthew 28:18 ) He also recognizes the function and activity of God’s holy spirit, or active force.— Galatians 5:22, 23; 2 Peter 1:21 . |
Why Are We Called Jehovah Witnesses Jesus Christ Many people think that Jehovah’s Witnesses is the name of a new religion. However, over 2,700 years ago, the servants of the only true God were described as his “witnesses.” ( Isaiah 43:10-12 ) Until 1931, we were known as Bible Students. Why did we adopt the name Jehovah’s Witnesses? 1.It identifies our God. According to ancient manuscripts, God’s name, Jehovah, appears thousands of times in the Bible. In many translations this name has been replaced by titles, such as Lord or God. Yet, the true God had revealed himself to Moses by his personal name, Jehovah, saying: “This is my name forever.” ( Exodus 3:15 ) In this way, he distinguished himself from all false gods. We are proud to bear God’s holy name. 2.It describes our mission. A long line of ancient people, beginning with the righteous man Abel, bore witness about their faith in Jehovah. Throughout the centuries, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, David, and others joined this “great cloud of witnesses.” ( Hebrews 11:4–12:1 ) Just as an individual may bear witness in court in behalf of an innocent person, we are determined to make known the truth about our God. We are imitating Jesus. The Bible calls him “the faithful and true witness.” ( Revelation 3:14 ) Jesus himself said that he ‘made God’s name known’ and kept ‘bearing witness to the truth’ about God. ( John 17:26; 18:37 ) Christ’s genuine followers must, therefore, bear Jehovah’s name and make it known. This is what Jehovah’s Witnesses are endeavoring to do. |
We are Christians for the following reasons: We try to follow closely the teachings and behavior of Jesus Christ.— 1 Peter 2:21 . We believe that Jesus is the key to salvation, that “there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”— Acts 4:12 . When people become Jehovah’s Witnesses, they are baptized in the name of Jesus.— Matthew 28:18, 19 . We offer our prayers in Jesus’ name.— John 15:16 . We believe that Jesus is the Head, or the one appointed to have authority, over every man.— 1 Corinthians 11:3 . However, in a number of ways, we are different from other religious groups that are called Christian. For example, we believe that the Bible teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, not part of a Trinity. ( Mark 12:29 ) We do not believe that the soul is immortal, that there is any basis in Scripture for saying that God tortures people in an everlasting hell, or that those who take the lead in religious activities should have titles that elevate them above others.— Ecclesiastes 9:5; Ezekiel 18:4; Matthew 23:8-10 . |

capitalzero:One True Christian Faith—A Reality JESUS CHRIST set up just one church, or congregation. That congregation was a spiritual body, a spiritual family. By this we mean that it was a gathering together of people chosen by God’s holy spirit—all recognized by God to be his “children.”— Romans 8:16, 17; Galatians 3:26 . Jesus taught that only one way was used by God to direct people to the truth and to life. To illustrate that important truth, Jesus compared the way to everlasting life to a road. He said: “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.”— Matthew 7:13, 14; John 14:6; Acts 4:11, 12 . A Unified Congregation We should not think of that first-century congregation as “a world-wide, universal, organized society such as we mean nowadays when we talk about the catholic church,” says The New Dictionary of Theology. Why not? “For the simple reason,” it says, “that such an organized, universal society scarcely existed.” No one can rightly disagree with the fact that the early Christian congregation bore no resemblance to the institutionalized church systems we see today. But it was organized. Individual congregations did not operate independently of one another. They all recognized the authority of a governing body in Jerusalem. That body—consisting of the apostles and older men of the Jerusalem congregation—helped to preserve the unity of the congregation as the “one body” of Christ.— Ephesians 4:4, 11-16; Acts 15:22-31; 16:4, 5 . What happened to that one true congregation? Did it become the mighty Catholic Church? Did it evolve into the denominational, fragmented Protestant church system that we see today? Or did something else happen? “Wheat” and “Weeds” To find the answers, let us carefully consider what Jesus Christ himself said would happen. You may be surprised to learn that Jesus expected his congregation to disappear from view and that he would allow such a sad situation to continue for centuries. Identifying his congregation with “the kingdom of the heavens,” he said: “The kingdom of the heavens has become like a man that sowed fine seed in his field. While men were sleeping, his enemy came and oversowed weeds in among the wheat, and left. When the blade sprouted and produced fruit, then the weeds appeared also. So the slaves of the householder came up and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow fine seed in your field? How, then, does it come to have weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy, a man, did this.’ They said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go out and collect them?’ He said, ‘No; that by no chance, while collecting the weeds, you uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest; and in the harvest season I will tell the reapers, First collect the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them up, then go to gathering the wheat into my storehouse.’”— Matthew 13:24-30 . Jesus explained that he was “the sower.” “The fine seed” pictured his genuine disciples. His “enemy” was Satan the Devil. “The weeds” were counterfeit Christians who infiltrated the early Christian congregation. He said that he would let “the wheat” and “the weeds” grow together until “the harvest,” which would come at “a conclusion of a system of things.” ( Matthew 13:37-43 ) What did all of this mean? The Christian Congregation Corrupted Soon after the death of the apostles, apostate teachers from within the congregation began to take control of it. They spoke “twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.” ( Acts 20:29, 30 ) As a result, many Christians ‘fell away from the faith.’ They were “turned aside to false stories.”— 1 Timothy 4:1-3; 2 Timothy 4:3, 4 . By the fourth century C.E., says The New Dictionary of Theology, “Catholic Christianity had become the official . . . religion of the Roman Empire.” There was a “coalescence of ecclesial and civil society”—a merging of Church and State that was diametrically opposed to the beliefs of the early Christians. ( John 17:16; James 4:4 ) The same source states that in time, the whole structure and nature of the church, as well as many of its fundamental beliefs, was changed radically “under the influence of a curious and thoroughly unhealthy combination of O[ld] T[estament] and neoplatonic models.” As predicted by Jesus Christ, his genuine disciples were hidden from sight as counterfeit Christians flourished. Jesus’ listeners knew how difficult it was to tell genuine wheat from weeds, such as poisonous bearded darnel, which during the growing season has an appearance much like that of wheat. So Jesus was illustrating that for a while, it would be difficult to distinguish true Christians from the counterfeit variety. This does not mean that the Christian congregation ceased to exist, for Jesus promised to continue to guide his spiritual brothers “all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” ( Matthew 28:20 ) Jesus said that the wheat would continue to grow. Even so, through the ages, genuine Christians—individually or in groups—no doubt did their best to adhere to Christ’s teachings. But they no longer made up a clearly identifiable, visible body, or organization. They were certainly not identical with the visible apostate religious system that throughout history brought nothing but disgrace and dishonor to the name of Jesus Christ.—2 Peter 2:1, 2 . “The Man of Lawlessness Gets Revealed” The apostle Paul foretold something else that would mark this counterfeit religious system. He wrote: “Let no one seduce you in any manner, because [Jehovah’s day] will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed.” ( 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 ) This “man of lawlessness” is none other than the clergy class that exalted itself into a ruling position over the “Christian” congregation. The apostasy started in the apostle Paul’s day. It accelerated once the apostles died and their restraining influence disappeared. It would be marked, said Paul, by “the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and portents and with every unrighteous deception.” ( 2 Thessalonians 2:6-12 ) How accurately that describes the activities of so many religious leaders throughout history! In support of their claim that Roman Catholicism is the one true church, Catholic leaders say that their bishops have “a life-giving contact with the original apostles by a current of succession which goes back to the beginning.” In truth, this claim of apostolic succession has no historical or Scriptural basis. There is no credible evidence that the church system that arose following the death of Jesus’ apostles was ever directed by God’s holy spirit.—Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:19-21 . And what of the other churches that sprang up following the so-called Reformation? Did they return to the model of the early Christian congregation? Did they restore the purity of the original Christian congregation? It is true that following the Reformation, the Bible became available to many of the common people in their own language. Yet, history shows that these churches continued to teach erroneous doctrines. — Matthew 15:7-9 . Note this, however. Jesus Christ definitely foretold that his one true congregation would be restored during what he called a conclusion of a system of things. ( Matthew 13:30, 39 ) The fulfillment of Bible prophecies shows that we are now living in that time. ( Matthew 24:3-35 ) That being true, each of us needs to ask, ‘Where is that one true church?’ It ought to become more and more clearly identifiable. Maybe you feel that you have already found that church, or congregation. It is important that you make sure. Why? Because as in the first century, there can be only one true church. Have you taken the time to make sure that your church closely conforms to the pattern set by the first-century Christian congregation and that it loyally adheres to the teachings of Jesus Christ? Why not examine this now? Jehovah’s Witnesses will be happy to help you to do just that.—Acts 17:11 . |
dear rottennaija What Does It Mean to Be a Christian? “IN MY country to be a Christian means to go to church once a week,” says Kingsley, from one African country. Raad, from the Middle East, explains: “In our community Christians are viewed as a group who follow Western customs and traditions in their dress, celebrations, and treatment of women.” But does being a Christian simply mean that one attends a church service once a week and follows certain social customs and traditions? Logically, should not the word “Christian” refer to a way of life that reflects the attitudes, values, and conduct that Christ preached and exemplified? How was Christianity practiced at its inception? Early Christianity—A Way of Life Jesus said to his followers: “You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you.” ( John 15:14 ) Since Jesus’ teachings affected all aspects of their lives, Christ’s disciples initially referred to their religion as “The Way.” ( Acts 9:2 ) Soon thereafter, “[they] were by divine providence called Christians.” ( Acts 11:26 ) This new name they bore meant that they believed that Jesus was the Son of God, who had transmitted to mankind the will of his heavenly Father. This belief led them to follow a way of life that differed from that of the world around them. Christ’s teachings moved his followers to follow Bible teachings, which meant avoiding “fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, . . . drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these.” ( Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 4:17-24 ) The apostle Paul reminded Corinthian Christians that some of them had once practiced these very things. Then he added: “But you have been washed clean, but you have been sanctified, but you have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”—1 Corinthians 6:9-11 . E. W. Barnes relates in his book The Rise of Christianity: “In its early authoritative documents the Christian movement is represented as essentially moral and law-abiding. Its members desired to be good citizens and loyal subjects. They shunned the failings and vices of paganism. In private life they sought to be peaceful neighbours and trustworthy friends. They were taught to be sober, industrious and clean-living. Amid prevailing corruption and licentiousness they were, if loyal to their principles, honest and truthful. Their sexual standards were high: the marriage tie was respected and family life was pure.” Such were aspects of being a Christian in the early days. Another distinctive sign of early Christianity was its zealous evangelizing work. Christ commanded his followers: “Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations.” ( Matthew 28:19, 20 ) Jean Bernardi, a professor at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France, noted: “[Christians] were to go out and speak everywhere and to everyone. On the highways and in the cities, on the public squares and in the homes. Welcome or unwelcome. To the poor, and to the rich encumbered by their possessions. . . . They had to take to the road, board ships, and go to the ends of the earth.” True Christians today should stand out for their distinctive way of life, just as they did in the first century. Accordingly, Jehovah’s Witnesses strive to adhere strictly to the precepts established by the first Christians. Their efforts to pattern their lives after the teachings of the Bible are noticed by others. For instance, the New Catholic Encyclopedia acknowledges that Jehovah’s Witnesses are known as “one of the best-behaved groups in the world.” The Deseret News of Salt Lake City, Utah, observed that Jehovah’s Witnesses “promote strong family ties and develop productive and honest citizens.” The newspaper added: “Members believe in a strong moral code. They believe smoking, overdrinking, drug misuse, gambling, sexual promiscuity and homosexuality are spiritually damaging practices. They teach honesty and good work habits.” The Witnesses also take to heart their responsibility to be zealous evangelizers. Commenting on this the New Catholic Encyclopedia says: “The fundamental obligation of each member . . . is to give witness to Jehovah by announcing His approaching Kingdom. . . . To be a true Witness one must preach effectively in one way or another.” Clearly, true Christianity is much more than membership in one of the many religions of Christendom. Jesus himself foretold the rise of counterfeit Christians. ( Matthew 7:22, 23 ) Jehovah’s Witnesses invite you to learn what Jesus taught and put it into practice. That is what it means to be a Christian. Jesus said: “If you know these things, happy you are if you do them.”— John 13:17 . |
Blood transfusions do not necessary save lifes and not a cure. It is like treating symptoms of a disease. I have seen cases where blood transfusions were done and patients still died. Why even with blood transfusion? I have seen cases where patients refuse blood and still survive. Do we have such data? why they survive? Also, we do not have data of patients that actually died because they refused blood and their cause of death can only be due to lack of blood absolutely. Even blood transfusions could worsen some cancer cases(modulation of immunity). In medicine, nothing is absolute. Yes, blood transfusion is seen as gold standard in some medical or surgical emergencies PRESENTLY. But can any doctor quarantee a patient will not die if transfused with blood? If you see anyone, let me know. In future, blood transfusion may be obsolete as medical researchers are recording success in blood alternatives. Furthermore, eating blood is wrong and Bible forbids that. Blood transfusion is a form of eating blood intravenously. Both serve different purposes. Blood transfusion is therapeutic while eating orally is nutritional. Both is wrong. |

Jman06:I never say pharmacists cannot prescribe. But which drugs? even chew, nurse, physiotherapist, optometrists, etc may prescribe. But which drugs and but whom authority? I repeat, prescription rights for other health workers are not their traditional roles but expanded roles and it is only medical council and moh that can allow them to do so legally. to learn more about prescription drugs check http://apps.who.int/medicinedocs/en/d/Jwhozip23e/5.4.html for decades, physicians have been dispensing drugs in their clinics and hospitals legally but they cannot open pharmacy shops. |
Jman06:duty of clinical pharmacists is not to prescribe drugs just as we outlined previously. there are clinical programme designed for pharmacists who want to prescribe. primary duty of pharmacists is not prescription of drugs and clinical care just as primary role of physicians is not dispensing of medications. of courses physicians do dispense drugs https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physician_dispensing. |
Jman06:where did you see o and g, nephrology , cardiology. Most of your info are half truths. clinical pharmacy is a branch of pharmacy. from your link,Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) currently recognizes the following eight specialty practice areas: Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Critical Care Pharmacy Nuclear Pharmacy Nutrition Support Pharmacy Oncology Pharmacy Pediatric Pharmacy Pharmacotherapy Psychiatric Pharmacy of pharmacy. what are duties of clinical pharmacists? to prescribe? no. What is a clinical pharmacist? Clinical pharmacists work directly with physicians, other health professionals, and patients to ensure that the medications prescribed for patients contribute to the best possible health outcomes. Clinical pharmacists practice in health care settings where they have frequent and regular interactions with physicians and other health professionals, contributing to better coordination of care. Clinical pharmacists are educated and trained in many direct patient care environments, including medical centers, clinics, and a variety of other health care settings. Clinical pharmacists are frequently granted patient care privileges by collaborating physicians and/or health systems that allow them to perform a full range of medication decision-making functions as part of the patient’s health care team. These privileges are granted on the basis of the clinical pharmacist’s demonstrated knowledge of medication therapy and record of clinical experience. This specialized knowledge and clinical experience is usually gained through residency training and specialist board certification. What do clinical pharmacists do? Clinical pharmacists: Assess the status of the patient’s health problems and determine whether the prescribed medications are optimally meeting the patient’s needs and goals of care. Evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the patient’s medications. Recognize untreated health problems that could be improved or resolved with appropriate medication therapy. Follow the patient’s progress to determine the effects of the patient’s medications on his or her health. Consult with the patient’s physicians and other health care providers in selecting the medication therapy that best meets the patient’s needs and contributes effectively to the overall therapy goals. Advise the patient on how to best take his or her medications. Support the health care team’s efforts to educate the patient on other important steps to improve or maintain health, such as exercise, diet, and preventive steps like immunization. Refer the patient to his or her physician or other health professionals to address specific health, wellness, or social services concerns as they arise. How do clinical pharmacists care for patients? Clinical pharmacists: Provide a consistent process of patient care that ensures the appropriateness, effectiveness, and safety of the patient’s medication use. Consult with the patient’s physicians and other health care providers to develop and implement a medication plan that can meet the overall goals of patient care established by the health care team. Apply specialized knowledge of the scientific and clinical use of medications, including medication action, dosing, adverse effects, and drug interactions, in performing their patient care activities in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Call on their clinical experience to solve health problems through the rational use of medications. Rely on their professional relationships with patients to tailor their advice to best meet individual patient needs and desires. source:accp |

Jaideyone:May be this will help and stop displaying your stupidity especially in front of your students. lecturer my foot. Separation of prescribing and dispensing, also called dispensing separation, is a practice in medicine and pharmacy in which the physician who provides a medical prescription is independent from the pharmacist who provides the prescription drug. In the Western world there are centuries of tradition for separating pharmacists from physicians. In Asian countries it is traditional for physicians to also provide drugs. In contemporary time researchers and health policy analysts have more deeply considered these traditions and their effects. Advocates for separation and advocates for combining make similar claims for each of their conflicting perspectives, saying that separating or combining reduces conflict of interest in the healthcare industry, unnecessary health care , and lowers costs, while the opposite causes those things. Research in various places reports mixed outcomes in different circumstances. Background In jurisdictions (such as the United States ), pharmacists are regulated separately from physicians. These jurisdictions also usually specify that only pharmacists may supply scheduled pharmaceuticals to the public, and that pharmacists cannot form business partnerships with physicians or give them "kickback" payments. However, the American Medical Association (AMA) Code of Ethics provides that physicians may dispense drugs within their office practices as long as there is no patient exploitation and patients have the right to a written prescription that can be filled elsewhere. 7 to 10 percent of American physicians practices reportedly dispense drugs on their own.[1] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Separation_of_prescribing_and_dispensing |

If you do not want that, you can hang yourself. I know you are frustrated because you are wasting your times pursing pg programme in anatomy with a view to teach medical students. I will advise you to pursue PhD in genetics or molecular anatomy in overseas. you can get fully funded schorlaship. |
