mitchelle16:I was about to say this same thing. Op, that girl is seriously cursed. I don't mean any offense. Marry her and give birth to lesbians and gays. Your decision. |
I need your help guys. I have a dell laptop which always displays that it has connected to a device via wifi but the problem is it does not go further than that. I mean after a connection is established and I try to surf the net on my pc using my phone's data it doesn't load. Nothing loads. Again, the dell pc may display that a wireless connection has been established between pc and phone but a wireless transfer cannot be carried out. I am thinking of formatting the laptop but I am not fully certain if it will achieve the intended result. So I decided to ask if anyone has an expert opinion to share on this issue. Apart from that, does anyone have any idea how much a flex device costs and how to identify an original one from a fake one? TIA |
Toks2008:You are blessed, bro. God gave you a peek into paradise like He gave me. Awesome God. My other visit to heaven was the crystal sea. I was amazed to find that I could breathe, hear, and even talk under water. That is not all. A mighty, friendly whale approached my cousin to play with her. It was so enormous that we looked like wraps of sweet to it in size, and to my surprise it could also talk! It was a very very friendly sea animal. I never forgot this visit to heaven. It was my first. |
grailife:True, there is a God and His children are gods. However, my brother, we are gods now and when we sleep in Christ waiting for our powerful resurrection bodies which will be given to us when the Rapture takes place. We can experience heaven now and need not wait till death to experience it. |
Toks2008:I tell you my brother, a glimpse into paradise is enough for a lifetime of home sickness for heaven. Heaven is our home. With time, people will come to learn there is nothing impossible with God. There is nothing we love eating on earth that are not in heaven and are much much better up there plus more varieties of food and drinks and fruit than we can ever imagine. |
Well, without any form of pride, I can say I have seen paradise 3 times through the grace of God. Once in a dream and 2 times in visions. And yes, there is chocolate in heaven, LadyF. I saw it, I ate it. It was so abundant in the Chocolate Room I found myself that I went out to call others to join me. This is just one of my visits to heaven. Heaven, there is nothing worth missing it. I am blessed to have been granted a peek into heaven. That peek alone is enough for me to do everything possible and impossible (both through Christ) never to miss that place. Trust me, nothing on earth is worth missing heaven. |
Lol. The height of wishful thinking. |
Pastors who own a private jet: Bishop David Oyedepo Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor Pastor Enoch Adeboye Bishop Mike Okonkwo Pastor Joseph Agboli Non-clergy who own a private jet: Bola Ahmed Tinubu Aliko Dangote Rotimi Amaechi Daisy Danjuma (wife) Theophilus Danjuma (husband) Jimoh Ibrahim Sam Iwuajoku Wale Babalakin Haija Bola Muinat Shagaya Femi Otedola Senator Ali Modu Sheriff Mike Adenuga P-Square Mohammed Indimi Godswill Akpabio Folorunsho Alakija Diezani Alison Madueke Ifeanyi Ubah Orji Uzor Kalu Muazu Babangida Aliyu Emeka Ofor Gabriel Igbenedion Musa adede Tunde Folawiyo Sunny Aku Andy Uba Arthur Eze Bala Ibn Na'Allah Aminu Dantata Alex Iziyon Ishiaka Rabiu It is praise worthy and acceptable when politicians, oil barons, the rich acquire private jets. It is the norm. The excess supply of dollars into the economy as a result of the acquisition and maintenance of jets of the non-clergy which weakens the naira is 'little' when compared with that of the clergy men who own a jet. Jesus Christ rode on a donkey because He chose it as a means of transportation to Jerusalem. Does that mean He didn't make use of any other means of transportation besides a donkey? How clueless. Private jets hamper evangelism being time consuming and requiring more effort and money than commercial flights yet you overlooked the expediency of elimination of delays or cancellation of flights, the non-refund of payment after it is made no longer becomes an issue, the unnecessary hike in ticket fees due to the variation of seasons is minimized, the problem of choosing or selecting destinations not included in the flight plans of commercial airlines no longer becomes a problem with private ownership. It is your kind that says evangelism in different parts of Lagos by commercial vehicles is cheaper and better than private ownership of vehicles. Bad image. I laugh. You are not bothered about the bad image politicians and corrupt officials, the bulk of who own private jets, reflect on the country. You are more concerned about the image of clergymen who make up 16.1% of people I have listed who own a jet as a result of their acquisition of private jets to spread the gospel. I am really touched by your heartfelt concern. If Christians try to defend the ownership of private jets by clergy men because of silly and baseless accusations coming from these hypocrites, then you will have to defend your acquisition of expensive clothes, houses, hotels, shares in a company, etc. Even when a pastor is poor they term him a church rat. Now he is rich they term him a deceiver. |
ideatoprince18:Unlike Mohammed, Jesus Christ predicted His death a long time before it happened. The Prophets of old also prophesied the death of Jesus Christ centuries before His birth. In the case of the prophet Mohammed, his death took him by total surprise. He wasn't in the least prepared for what happened to him. In other words, he didn't see it coming. Was Allah sleeping when death came for Mohammed? |
Jeromejnr:Lolz. This is awfully familiar...and extremely funny. Familiar because it reminds me of Catholics I have talked with. I tell you, you haven't heard the worst. ![]() |
Swearing doesn't prove anything. When God created the world and the human race, even then and now He has had no need to swear or kill in order to prove His title of ownership of the world and the universe at large. His works speak for themselves. The acts of God are witnessed all over the world so that His power that established the earth and all mankind is undeniable and without rival. |
dalaman:The same person who screams that Christians are suffering hallucination as regards their testimonies of seeing Jesus, God the Father, angels and demons, that miracles and healings are staged even when broadcast live on television, that the tons of testimonies on the amazing miracles of God in written testimonies including that of those who died and came back to life with medical proofs and names of the hospitals where these miracles took place are fabricated, who calls Christians apologists, is the same person who asks where God's greatness is displayed and where He is being witnessed by people...as if he is willfully blind. As usual you will come up with your own deluded christian apologist thrash forgetting that there are about 1.8 billion muslims in the world that can conjure up such statements and also have religious experiences that are just like yours or even more than yours. Lolz. Is this an example of "religious experiences that are just like yours or even more than yours?" I can show you a link of a hindu baby worshiped as God because it was born with four arms and four legs. Allah may display manifestations but being a lower god, however, he cannot attempt great manifestations of God that separates God from lesser gods. It is utterly impossible. This is the same way the magicians in Egypt tried to counterfeit the miracles God performed through the hand of Moses until it got to a stage the powerlessness of the Egyptian gods was obvious to all. Since this thread concerns a Muslim's conflict of religious beliefs, let me give you a video testimony with proof of healing of someone who SAW Jesus and was healed even when his disease was medically impossible to cure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TC-TLFYNCQ Even more interesting is the fact that his ancestor was the first Caliph of the entire Muslim world. Another interesting fact is where he said, "Allah is not a healer. Mohammed is not a healer so we don't turn to Allah to heal us." Wonderful! If this baby says the name of Allah who cannot heal, what does that tell you? Allah is a powerless god and, therefore, your statement of "religious experiences...even more than yours" is pure fallacy and ignorant. This particular testimony is just a drop in an ocean of testimonies as regards the greatness of Jesus Christ. Here is another testimony from the lips of a Muslim - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdMydpavOz4 He was a jihadist. Events led to his asking the real God to reveal Himself to him. In his dream, a figure in very bright light appeared to him and told him He was the one he was searching for. The figure told him to read the Bible. This is how he became a Christian, through a personal revelation of Christ. I have only revealed two examples of millions of witnesses to God's greatness through personal experiences. If you are so confident that the Muslim world has any such testimonies of personal revelations of Allah's greatness bring them here, bring their links and make them public, I DARE YOU. And if you can't forever hold your peace about things beyond you. |
The religious diversity in the world ironically makes the true belief in God so outstanding that choosing it is only a matter of choice and not confusion stemming from a selection of numerous options of religions as this writer would have us believe. I have once said that if I observed and saw Allah's greatness in the manifestation of signs and wonders all over the world in ages past and present and that he is being witnessed by people alive and by those who died and resurrected, and that his attributes and power are not witnessed in any other supposed deity in the world or the universe at large then it goes without saying that Allah would be the true God. However, this is not the case. The only One who has demonstrated such greatness in the whole world as I have described and even goes beyond what I have described is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the true God who surpasses every other god and salvation is found only in the name of His Word or only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. There may be many tall and short buildings in a street but if one is asked to identify the tallest, it should not pose a problem to someone who is willing to take time to survey the area in order to identify the tallest building among others. The fact that you were born in a particular building does not make it the tallest in the street. The same can be said of the religions (buildings) in the world (street). A Muslim once had this same doubts after he had unsuccessfully attempted to kill Christians. Following an unexpected accident, the same Christians he had tried to kill took him to their home and cared for him till he got better. This made him question his belief so much so that he cried and asked whoever was the real God to talk to him. He began with asking Allah to reveal himself if he was real. He waited for a long time but there was no response. He then asked the God of the Christians to speak to him if He was real. That was when God spoke to him. The Muslim asked the voice who He is and the voice told him He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Muslim, as a result of this revelation, gave his life to Jesus Christ and became a born again Christian. To the writer, if you are really sincere with your questions, then you should embark on a search to seek the true God. The true God will not disappoint, but the false gods will disappoint you. |
keenn:You are confused, very CONFUSED. An expression of disjointed thinking. This is not even the topic of discussion. |
keenn:Indoctrination or absorption of family values and belief system is a passive form of education a child receives until the child is old enough to choose his or her path, good or bad, right or wrong. That is the way life works and you will agree with me if you are realistic about your opinions. Moreover, The Apostle Paul whom you cited was, very possibly as was the culture, taught the Jewish religion by his parents in his formative years which may have contributed to his zeal as a Pharisee in his adult age and which eventually led to his persecuting the church until he had an encounter with Christ. Is it not better for such child giving us detail account of what God his and how he should be worshiped, for crying out loud this child is coming from God as the holy books would put it, thus no need for introduction to a godThe child comes from God but it is hampered by physical limitations such as its undeveloped infant brain, zero level of understanding and awareness, inability to form articulate speech, etc. Seeing all these limitations, how would you expect the child to tell you who God is and how He should be worshiped when, probably four or five years later, the only thing it knows and can recall is what it has been exposed to on earth? In other words, the child begins with only a clean slate. How do you expect any writing from a clean slate? Is that realistic? |
Something to read. The end of a thing is far better than its beginning. ![]() |
Is it not the U.S? Little kids are constantly exposed to the doctrines of Satanism through cartoons, movies, children magazines, games etc. This is not unusual or out of the ordinary. They are only spreading the knowledge of Satanism to include the kids school curriculum. On the whole, they are being indoctrinated daily into Satanism through harmless 'fun' activities. God help America. |
What do atheists even understand by the word 'predestination' to make them erroneously suppose that all actions of mankind have been programmed so as to render any use of the reasoning faculties needless? No matter how many times you bring them out of that pit, they always willfully fall back into their error of thinking. This brings to mind an important question. Do they love being blind and ignorant? ![]() |
kevoh:Very wrong! Babies are neither theists nor atheists nor in between. Babies do not possess any consciousness of self because all they do is born out of reflex at that stage let alone possess any "knowledge" of facts or beliefs gained by learning or observation to which they apply the power of their minds to either accept or reject. They are not even on any neutral ground because if one is said to be on a neutral ground, it is believed such a person is fully or partially aware of the facts but refuses to take sides in which case he takes a neutral stand on the issue. Just to set the record straight! |
That was my deliverance from that particular thorn in the flesh. I woke and was very happy that God had finally delivered me from the power of that besetting sin. Did I see changes immediately after the dream? No. Not even after a space of months. I even thought the dream was just a product of my imagination when the thorn kept piercing me as before after that dream. However, it happened when I least expected it. The power of that sin was broken and Christ, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, destroyed its hold on me and, for the first time in many months I have served God without succumbing to that sinful thorn. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed It is not my style to reveal personal experiences to the public but I only tell this story to encourage you not to give up. Don't give up asking Christ to destroy that sin's hold in your life and He will answer your prayers. He will come at a time you least expect and destroy the power of that sin so that you will walk in victory as I do. Our victory over sin comes from Christ's victory over sin on the cross. Christians are not victims. We Christians are MORE THAN conquerors through Christ Jesus. When you became born again, victory became your birth right, your inheritance in Christ. Stay victorious. When Jesus had first entered the dark room, His entrance had made me see I wasn't alone in the room. There were about 50 or more demons behind me whose job, I guess, was to keep me in darkness and one standing guard at the door, their leader, bigger in size than the rest and had more authority than other demons in the room, and whose job was probably to keep me from escaping or keep anyone from coming to my rescue. When Jesus came in, the door was flung open and that demon couldn't stop it. As we made for the exit, the demons behind me attempted to run after me in a sudden stampede to bring me back to the darkness. As they ran after me, immediately, Jesus turned, and with very fierce anger in His voice He roared two words, "Get back!" Just as He spoke those words, they stood absolutely still in great fear. None made any motion as they heard the command. Dreadful and fearful silence came upon all of them. Then Jesus took me out of that darkness. The leader of the demons in the room fearfully and respectfully held the door open for Jesus and I to walk through. When we did, the leader shut the door quietly behind us and locked it so as to keep other demons in the room from going after me in the future. |
One night, in my dream, I was sitting on the floor facing a door in a very very dark room. There was no ray of light anywhere. It was like an underground room. Suddenly, the door to the dark room flung open with force. A man in a white robe walked briskly towards me. He had this air of power, confidence and authority combined in His aspect. There was fierce anger in His face. He walked towards me, bent lovingly, locked His arms around mine, lifted me from my sitting position and, with His arms still locked around mine, He made for the exit. I knew who He was. It was Jesus, my Deliverer. |
PRINCESSO2, I understand what you're going through. As a Christian, you need to understand that sin is powerless before you. You have conquered sin through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. By 'conquering' I don't mean will power. Will power will get you nowhere, obviously. It can never defeat sin. Your will power is still needed but not to battle against sin on its own. Never ever ever ever give up the fight against sin. Keep asking the Holy Spirit to destroy that power of sin in your life and He will do it if you don't give up. This is only where your will-power becomes relevant in that it helps you in your determination to not give up asking till your prayer is answered. This is faith that moves mountains. Let me give you my experience. I too struggled with a particular thorn sent by the devil to trouble me and keep me from walking in the path of righteousness. God knew my sincerity in trying to obey His commandments and He also saw my weakness of flesh which kept me from obeying His Word. I prayed to God each time after I fell to destroy that power of sin in my life so that I could live a life pleasing to Him. I prayed but it seemed God wasn't listening or that He didn't exist. My prayers seemed like they were made by me and addressed to me, but I knew with my heart, not mind, that God heard my prayers. The answer did not come immediately - or even a long time after until.... |
Ishilove:Lolzz. Add loser to that. |
Ishilove:Ishilove, is that why that guy hates you so much as to announce his obituary? Devil is a liar. |
ribbit:You talk as if God placed a rope around your neck and is dragging you towards the fulfillment of His plans for you even though you hate His plans for you, as if He stops you from carrying out your own plans for your life, as if His plans for anyone nullify their power of free will to choose or reject them, as if God will FORCE His plans on you, as if His plans for you are independent of your desire and active participation to see them come to fruition, as if knowing how to spell God equates with knowing who He is.... |
Jeromejnr:hahahaha. I tell you. Imagine, their reasoning of the ways of God is beyond absurd. You begin to wonder whether their criticism spring from the same Bible you know or if they have mistaken God for someone else.... In all, it is just unhearably laughable. |
MzNelly:Let me ask you, is it unrealistic for God to call one of His sons or daughters home through any means of death we know in order for them to come to His rest and spend eternity with Him? Isaiah 57:1-2. "The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death." Of course, this is not the 'general' reason why (God's) people die but it should not be discounted as one of the reasons. Have you read the book, The Final Quest? The book is not the foundation of my belief but it is one of the numerous confirmations of my belief. |
Hahahaha. Jeromejnr, have you seen this thread? My belle wan burst wit laughter here o. Sometimes I wonder if there is an end in sight to this display of ignorance? ![]() So prayer is now useless because God's plans now translates to His bounden duty towards you whether you express a desire for it or not. It now justifies your PRIDE of expectation and INGRATITUDE since, in your opinion, it is God's plan, not yours, which He must fulfill and, as such, prayer is redundant. It means you can be lazy or irresponsible and still be rich and great - God's plans to the rescue. God is your robot that cleans your mess, tidies your bedroom, cooks for you and bathes you since it is His plan for you to be clean, to have a clean environment, and be well fed. Scholar8200 and God2man, nice contributions. |
Let me add one or two thoughts to Scholar8200's answer. One thing is sure, sin hinders prayers. There are people that may have prayed many times for a solution but didn't get what they prayed for. This may be as a result of one or two sins they are still clinging to and are not ready to forsake. The presence of that sin(s) may hinder the effectiveness of their prayers. See, many people will just come and tell you that they prayed for a long time without any visible results, but what they won't tell you is their numerous adventures into the world of sin all that time they were praying to God for the answer to their requests. They think God will lower His standards because of them. 'Be ye holy for I am holy' can never be compromised for anybody. Secondly, when we hear reports of deaths especially when it concerns a believer, we never know what transpired between that person and God during their last moments on earth. It is possible God had impressed upon that person an instruction or command through nagging feelings or thoughts but the person disobeyed thinking it was their imagination and paid the price of ignoring that little voice of warning. In nairaland here, in this section, there was a thread opened for people to recount their testimonies of God's intervention in their lives. A particular young lady's testimony moved me. She narrated that there was a time she went to the school hall to read at night. While reading, she said the feeling to shift her position to the right kept disturbing her. Finally, she obeyed the 'feeling' and did just that. Almost immediately, the cement roof above her collapsed in a heap on the place she was originally. I read the testimony of a foreign pastor a many years ago. He said while preparing to board a flight, he continued to have this persistent bad feeling about his decision. When it wouldn't stop, he got down on his knees and asked God whether he should board the flight or not. The answer came that he shouldn't. Later, he received the news that the particular flight he planned to board had crashed. In the end, when a true believer dies through accident, or wickedness of man, or through sickness, it doesn't mean God did not grant their requests to live long. It may simply mean God used that accident to bring them home, not wanting them to stay any longer in the earth. Their work on earth may have been done so He sends for them using any means to bring about their death in order for them to spend the rest of eternity with Him. |
