Elated that there are still minds like yours that ask the important questions and know the real answers.

It's a capitalist move. Like you said "follow the money". They have found a new market to get their raw materials for cheap for EVs and people might not be buying EVs now but give it time, let the political part sink in. Some cities have stated that they will ban the use of fossil fuel passenger vehicles.
They will try and they may succeed to a large extent but they won’t eliminate fossil fuels. To start with it’s one thing to shift to electric vehicles, it’s another to shift the source of energy to power the EVs. It’s another to get electric ships, planes etc. Petrol is not the only byproduct of fossil fuels. Plastics, Fertilizer and many other petrochemicals down to things like artificial fibers for clothes, mattresses, Vaseline, candles ( the list is endless) are all things the world cannot do without and are by-products of crude or natural gas.

I've read about all you've said. Fossil fuel will be used forever but I think the demand will decrease a lot.

Good points you've got to be honest

But you know this world is politics sometimes. You've to respect it because if you underate "politics" you might be in for a rude awakening.

Let's just be watching sha. I'm not sure about the future that's why I said time revealeth all things.

Not gonna lie, I thought of this too. Nice observation.

But, what would you choose sir?

A leader in an emerging multibillion dollar field. Or, a random professional in an established but soon to become a niche field.

Life is all about boom and bust.

Know when to enter and when to leave.
Fossil fuels will still be in demand in your lifetime. Google what is happening with EVs in the US….people are not buying. Hertz just put up 20,000 of the EVs for sale because people are not renting them. Look at what is happening in the UK regarding their previous targets.

Understand that the whole green movement just like Covid vaccines is more politics than science. The science does not back up the rhetoric and like most things the truth will eventually out.

Global warming is real but co2 is not the cause of global warming. Co2 is a consequence of Glo l Al warming and global warming g is a natural phenomenon as part of a global cycle that has existed for centuries but if as a scientist you say otherwise all your research funding will be stopped so they all tow the line. It is the same thing they did with Covid, now we are finding out the vaccine is causing heart and other problems and ivermectin actually works. Lithium actually causes more environmental damage than fossil fuels but they won’t tell you that.”

In this life you have to read, research and think for yourself. The same Oyinbo man that told you margarine is good did so to promote their companies, margarine is one of the most unhealthy fats you can consume. The same Oyinbo man that told you palm oil was bad for you did so because they don’t produce palm oil. But guess what? The soya oil they promote is because they can produce soya but soya is bad for men. It damages the male hormones.

The white mania not your friend, always question the motives of the white man. As a mentor once said to me when I got out of university, if you want to u derstand what is going on with the west, follow the money, ask who is making money from this.

The white man has a burning desire to reduce their dependence on energy from u stable or hostile countries. Their reserves of fossil fuels are dwindling. If you understand that you will understand the real reason they are pushing the green agenda.

RepoMan007:
in ignorance or carelessness, you reinforced my point. That amount is too small to achieve any real verification that involves interacting with the so called beneficiaries.
It really isn’t. You are within a LG, the so called beneficiaries and addresses are known. How much are you goi g to spend in transport within a LG (which is the main expense) that will gulp N3.7m? The people doing the verification will almost certainly be moving around on Okadas. How much will it cost to charter a few okadas for a few verification staff for say 2 weeks?

I don’t know how much okadas costs but let us assume it costs 10,000 a day, you have 14 verification staff per local govt and n2000 allowance a day for 2 weeks that’s 12000 x 14 x 14 days is about N2.3m.

If you prefer to view it by ward, there are about 3,800 wards in Nigeria. It should cost less than N1m to verify beneficiaries in each ward. Which is approx N3b.

That's the new oil

Is petroleum engineering a viable course to study in big 2024? I don't think so.

But since time revealeth all things, we shall know 5 - 10 years from now.
If you thought it through, you would realize that many others would shy away from petroleum engineering for the same reason you outline resulting in a scarcity of petroleum engineers in the future.

If you also thought it through you would also realize that there will always be a place for fossil fuels and the future of green energy is not assured.

Therefore a betting man would bet on a career in petroleum engineering because demand will outstrip supply.

Instead of him to be a kingmaker as Tinubu did to Buhari and bided his time to Emilokan entitlement, he keeps forcing himself on the party,,thereby creating division instead of unifying the party.
Continue wailing.
It is too late for all this crying after split milk analysis. The opposition has sealed their fate because they (former PDP men Obi, Kwakwanso and Atiku) could not unite.

As it stands 2027 is for a southerner and the only southerner that can win in 2027 is Tinubu. If they like let them all unite behind Obi in 2027 he can’t win because the North will not vote for him.

You are a learner.

Diversity and affirmative action is destroying US economy and productivity.

If you don't know ,know it now.
You are a copy cat. We k ow the western world has a problem with wokism, etc etc. but that is not the problem with Boeing. Stop copying peoples comments on Twitter in order to sound knowledgeable about matters you know nothing about.

The problem with Boeing is as follows:

Boeing was a company that had a culture focused on engineering excellence.

McDonnell douglass was a company that had a culture of focusing on profits.

Eventually McDonnell Douglas went bust because they focussed so much on profits they had a plane with a fault (a cargo door lock would open in mid air and cause an explosive decompression) that they knew about but refused to fix. Google “DC10”

Many planes crashed and it damaged their reputation eventually they were taken over by Boeing. I believe it is the same plane that is now known as the

Unfortunately for Boeing, the management of McDonnell douglass were absorbed into Boeing with their cost cutting culture. Those MD executives are the ones now running Boeing with their culture of cost cutting.

This resulted in subcontracting almost everything that can be subcontracted. The fuselage of the 737 for instance is subcontracted to spirit aviation. Spirit aviation was a spin-off from Boeing to increase profitability.

The basic problem with Boeing is they have subcontracted so many processes that were previously in-house and in a bid to meet profitability targets the subcontractors cut corners. In addition Boeing has inculcated the Md culture of knowing about problems and keeping quiet.

That is Boeing In a nutshell. Boeing started having quality problems after they acquired McDonnell Douglas and started focusing on profits, share price and cost cutting.

Nothing to do with wokism or diversity.

Your link just proved my point: you merely copied something you say on social media without u derstandi g what is going on. I suspect you must be an Obidient…they are the ones who do t use their brains but copy what someone else said.

Who told you is copy and paste?
Do you know how old Boeing has existed?
Did they start chasing profit today?
your comment about diversity and liberal views was copied from twitter.

It is not today Boeing has been having problems with their planes because of cost cutting. Educate yourself on the problems with the 787 and the 737 NG. it is not today. Your comment "Did they start chasing profit today?" shows you have no clue about the long standing issues with Boeing stemming from cost cutting measures.

Boeing has not been the same since they acquired Mcdonnel douglas and prioritised profits and cost cutting measures!!

Are young comparing US to China when it comes to standard?

Affirmative and diversity hiring is what lead to the decline of Boeing and the 737max jets.

When companies prioritize Liberal views over competence.
Stop doing copy and paste. If you read something on social media, chances are others have read it. Stop trying to pass it on as your own original thought. You end up making a foooool of yourself. Think for yourself.

The real problem with Boeing is putting profit above all else.

Sometimes the opponent doesn’t have a case. Just like olanipekun has lost cases where his client had no case.

Not saying he isnt a guru on election matters but sometimes it’s just as simple as that. Look at Obi for example, he never had a case to the extent that all the judges reprimanded his lawyers for being gong such a flimsy case to court. The case was so ludicrous and Olanipekun was always going to win to the extent he only called one witness.
