grin

Wike Even though arrogant actually gave Atiku a good run for his money.
The more we Southerners close our ranks and work for the common good of our people the better.

Power is not leaving North for a very long time.
They are the real owner of Nigeria because we Southerners has given ourself to them as slaves. Pathetic.

Peter Obi is where my vote will go for even though he has little or no chance of winning but i will rather give it to him than waste it on the rogue party PDP/APC.
This whole stuff about tribe is a myth. Dino said on Tv that he monitored the delegates. Katsina and Kano voted for Wike and that Delta voted for Atiku. Wike was on course to win, he was simply outsmarted by individuals not the North. Do you know what it means for a southerner to get Kano and katsina delegates, talk less when running against a Northerner? stop playing the north v south tribalism card.

By the way a vote for Peter Obi is just as much a wasted vote. 1) after spending all his money to fund labour party that has no structure and coming 3rd in the election, I doubt a stingy man like Obi will vie for office again, so your vote is indeed wasted. The point in voting a man who cant win is to encourange him to try again. By the time Labour finish fleecing him, the man will have no money left and because he has gone on and on about integrity there is no way he can go back to PDP with any integrity left.

You people should stop all this delusional nonsense about peter Obi. He didnt play his cards right and he is finished!! To start with his supporters are exclusively southerners, secondly, his supporters are online noise makers and he is ion a party that has no national structure...at most he will get 2 million ibo votes because the other southerners who rooted for him are not blind, they know he cant win in labour party and will redirect their votes rather than waste it, the only people following him to death in labour are Ibos!

Atiku is the only Person that can defeat Tinubu and Tinubu is the only person that can defeat Atiku. the 2 of them know each other inside out and have been business partners for years. Many people do not know for instance that Tinubu owned shares in Atiku's company InTELS. In 2003, when OBJ waged an onslaught on AD states to capture the SW, it was an agreement between Atiku and Tinubu that preserved Lagos for Tinubu.

You are not getting the point. Obi will definitely divide Pdp's votes as some loyalists in Pdp willove with him to LP. Why picking VP from the region when they could have gone to SS where the votes are still intact
Because giving the VP to SS will not bring additional votes to PDP, the SS is already PDP. They may gain maybe 100k votes if they give the SS but they are losing millions of Ibo voters all over the country, who are going to vote for Obi even if they know he wont win. If you can get back half of the people Obi is taking on a fools errand to Labour it is more than any marginal additional votes in a zone that is already largely PDP.

The smart move actually is to convince Obi to come back to PDP and take the VP slot. PDP cannot afford to lose the Ibo vote.

Obi cannot win, he has embarked on a fools errand and all he will do is reduce PDP's votes. PDp need to regain the Ibo votes lost and on a journey to nowhere with peter Obi in labour party.

Ko Le werk.

Vote apathy is inevitable in SE in the next year election. Giving SE the VP ticket is a waste of opportunity of winning the election
I am not a PDP supporter neither am I ibo but the strategic move now for PDp is to give the VP slot to the Se and listening to Ohuabunwa on Channels, he sounds like a good man.

This is my analysis, Peter Obi cannot win in labour party, all his move to Labour does is to divert Ibo votes away from PDP, thus giving APC an easier ride. peter Obi will be overwhelmed by the money HE will have to spend in labour. Like Shehu Sani said, if he thinks PDP is corrupt, the smaller parties are worse, they will milk him dry in addition to legitimate funds he will have to spend to fight a national campaign in a small party. Atiku needs to regain as many of those those Ibo voters as he can or else PDP will lose the election. No need to worry about SS, they will always vote PDP.

Why are your crying more than the bereaved. How much did Wike spend yet nothing to show for that. How much did Saraki spend per delegate..

In politics you will spend money but when it becomes like stock exchange where the value can go as high as 35,000$. U want him to spend all that money for almost nothing...how much did Wike spend
in politics you will spend money, it doesnt mean you will win but you will spend, if you do n ot want to spend, then politics is not for you. He will spend more in Labour party (and will still lose) than any amount he would have spent had he stayed in PDP and won or lost. All the expenses of the Labour party are now on him and he will lose and I guarantee you he will spend more than he would have spent on delegates in PDP.

Most of these smaller parties do not even have physical secretariats or offices in many states, who is going to pay for these vital infrastructure? When you rent office then you will paint and furnish, he will then realise that $35k for 700 delegates in PDP is a bargain for having access to the existing infrastructure of a party like PDP and if you win, you wont shoulder the financial burden on your own!!!!

Nawa for you..

It was reported that some people spent 35,000$ for delegate...do you think he has such money to fund ordinary delegate election. That is not even the main election when their will be branded bus, rallies, vote buying, party agent etc
he didnt know that one before he entered the race, is it not the same PDp that was spending money on delegates in 2019 or because it wasnt his money then he didnt mind, now that it is his money he developed a consciemce? You said he doesnt want to spend money, i asked who does he think is going to fund labour party that doesnt have national structure, party agents in all the polling booths, who is going to pay? or he thinks somebody else will pay for him to become president like 2019 with Atiku?

This is Nigerian politics, you will pay the expenses of your party members, accommodation, if you dont want to be robbed you will pay judges...thats the game many injunctions and lawsuits will come. Election time is when certain groups (lawyers, judges, officials of different govt agencies, party delegates etc etc etc etc) make money in Nigeria and it is highest bidder, If you dont have or want to spend money, you are in the wrong business...go home now.

if you are not ready for Nigerian politics stay at home. Democracy is not cheap anywhere in the world!!! When labour party finish with Obi he will run back to PDP and beg!!!!

The problem I have with you people is that you people don't like to tell yourself the truth.
Drink from your own cup and tell yourself the truth, Nigerian politics is about money, if you dont want to spend your money then you are not ready to be president or you know deep down you cant win.

Who is going to fund the labour party that he has ported do, or you think having agents in 774 local govts is cheap? travel accommodation etc, who will pay for all the party reps? The money he didnt want to spend, he will spend, this time it will be for a lost cause. There is no way Peter obi can singularly fund the expenses required for a National election of a small party, which means he has already lost before he starts. When he is done he will ask himself who sent him to be quoting stats on the platform!

There is no way you succeed in Nigerian politics without either you or someone building a political structure and spending money especially when you do not have government apparatus and incumbency on your side..

Another long epistle without addressing the a issue. It was the actions of SE and SW in PDP that lead to throwing up of the PDP race open. Had it been the representative of the 17 southern states have insisted on zoning to the SE, it would have been like both 2011 and 2015.

For the state of SE producing the President. Time will determine the fate of Nigeria. The reason while SE have not been is because we supported and backed Jonathan against all odds

Tinubu should get the ticket first.

We have 100 delegate but how many State Governor. You all saw how PDP lost Imo and Ebonyi. Enugu and Abia governor went for the senate.

Let's allow time to past
My friend the least one would expect if indeed there was injustice towards the SE is that the SE at least vote for their candidate....abi no be so? The truth is your own voting pattern towards your own candidates is proof that PDp was right not to zone the presidency to the SE, SE is unelectable. The 1st job of a political party is to win elections, no serious National political party will zone its ticket to a zone or person incabable of winning the votes in its own zone talk less nationaly.

Always making excuses and blaming others for your failures.

The issue has been addressed...........1) Charity begins at home 2) Serious Parties choose flag bearers that give them the biggest chance of victory in elections!!!!! In life if people are constantly not choosing you the problem is you, if you keep being passed on for certain roles, if women keep rejecting you, if men keep rejecting you, if you invite people and people dont come, whatever the issue may be, if it becomes a recurring decimal in your life, the problem is you!!!! You need to fix yourself!!!

Why are you being sentimental. Did I mention Northern gang-up here.

What I said is simply this. The ambitious nature of SW and SS politician in not backing zoning to SE (using the we want a competent candidate) is what created the loophole that the north is using now

Have APC given Tinubu the ticket since he is popular according to you, why do you think they shifted their primaries.
Why do you think APC is bringing Jonathan or why is Orji Uzor Kalu and Hope Uzodinma rooting for Lawañ.
Even APC that was saying zoning to the south is even considering throwing that zoning stuff away.

The problem for both parties are the SW and SS. They thought that due to the influence and affluence, they could sideline the SE.
You are still talkin ga bout "the North" there is no the North only a party that wants to win and recognises their best candidate to win is Atiku. Obi and Wike are local champions, they sell well in their enclaves but they are not exportable to the northern masses and that is where the votes are. As far as SE is concerned until you people realise that an Ibo candidate is unelectable in Nigeria and go back to the drawing board and change your mindset and appraoch to to others, always bnlaming others for your self inflicted misfortunes, you will be always be stuck in this political rut!!!

The problem of the SE is the SE...get that into your head!!! SW and SS aren't asking for SE help to become president because they have made alliances in the North which is where the votes are. You cant keep antagonising everybody then when time comes for election blame the North or the rest of the south...do your own work and make yourselves electable.

A man who doesnt understand where he goes wrong will continue making the same errors over and over again. Your problem is not the North or the rest of the South, your problem is you!!! This idea of a Northern gangup or a southern betrayal is something you tell yourselves to avoid facing your harsh realities!!! The reason no one is zoning the Presidency to the SE is because Nigerians are either not comfortable with a SE president orthe main parties feel the SE is unelectable and will only lead to certain defeat. Thats the harsh reality!!

As far as Tinubu is concerned let's see what plays out, you cannot impose consensus unless the candidates themselves agree. The fact that you want to do something (cabal) does not mean you will be able to. In Nigeria there are only 3 political forces: Buhari, Tinubu and PDP. APC is nothing without Buhari or Tinubu, similarly that is no individual in PDP who has enough clout to triumph nationally without PDP, i.e can go to another party and win. Atiku tried many times he failed, he needs PDP to win. No individual in PDP has the political influence of buhari or Tinubu. Every individual that becomes president under PDP does so largely (80%) because of the party and less because of the individual. There is no "big man" in PDP the likes of Tinubu or Buhari....not even Atiku. Tinubu and Buhari are organic politicians, there are a movement. Atiku needs an existing structure and then he will buy his way, he himself has no pull, his political destiny is based on deep pockets, highest bidder politics, not idealogy or any grassroots movement.
the combination of Atiku and PDP is a strong force, it is PDP's best chance but it will fail again against a united Tinubu/Buhari.

One last thing, SE have 100 PDP delegates, Anyim got 7 votes, before you point fingers at the SS, SW and the North, go and ask your SE brothers what happenned to the remaining 93 SE delegate votes!!!

Thats where you got it wrong. Instead of shouting SE, you should blame SS and SW that refuse to back the SE agitation. Had it been SS and SW threw their support for SE, do you think north will try their luck.

Instead of insisting on SE president, SW ànd SS were just shouting South. Today both of them are complaining.

Events of yesterday have shown that SE as the bride of 2023 election

Both parties could go SE vice-president.

Atiku might go with a running mate of igbo extraction in a bid to unite the party (Ugwuanyi, or Okowa). He knows that PDP needs SE/SS before the election.

If APC picks Jonathan, the running mate will be Buni
If APC picks Lawan , the running mate with Okorocha, Ogbonnaya or Amaechi
. You are talking absolute nonsense, you are too emotional to ever be successful politicians. Obi and Wike did not lose because they are southerners, they lost because they are unelectable where it matters….the North!!! PDP wants to win and their duty is to present a candidate that gives them the best chance to win, that candidate is not Obi, that candidate is not Wike. If Wike or Obi had been welcomed in the north the way Tinubu was welcomed by the masses and delegate, one of them would be the PDP flag bearer. You cannot be a local champion and expect to be given a national ticket by default. I believe Wike when he says Peter Obi would have lost in Anambra!!!!

There is no northern gang up. They are just better politicians than you and know the job of a politician is to win and to win you must present a candidate that can get you votes. Until you develop the maturity to see this you are not ready for politics.
