BosseJ:
Is this a joke or something? Peter Obi should have stayed in PDP and used his trending popularity as leverage to negotiate for VP slot with Atiku. But his political I.Q is too low to make him see the wisdom in that. He stood the best chance of getting Igbo into Aso rock within 8-yrs minimum (in the event that Atiku wins the presidency), but his ego got the best of him.
Ibos in general have a low political IQ, Ego always gets the better of them. Ego is the biggest driver in the DNA of an Ibo man it will always prevent him from making the right political decision because politics by definition is a game where you win by considering others.

Politics › Re: Reno Omokri: How Northern Solidarity Gave Atiku Victory by casualobserver: 10:37am On May 29, 2022
It is unfortunate that people are using Northern solidarity to describe Atiku’s victory. It shows people are not learning their lessons and why some groups will continue to lose in politics. Peter Obi is unelectable, Wike is unelectable. The powers that be who are desperate to return to power recognized this FACT and coalesced behind a candidate that can win. People need to stop getting emotional about this or they will continue to lose elections!!!!

In politics you recognize the man that can win and back that man. Tinubu recognized this and backed Buhari in 2015. Tambuwal recognized that the person with the biggest chance of winning is Atiku. I don’t believe there is any tribalism here just pure politics!!!

You go where the numbers are, the numbers are in the North and if you want to win, you go for a candidate that can give you numbers in the North…….simple!!!

Remind me again how many votes any of them got in the primaries? Peter Obi is the symbol of the SE and he will pull SE votes away from PDP and both parties will remmember. The party that wins in particular will remmember they win without SE support…..God help SE if that ends up being PDP.

SE is not in a position to not take the offer. You take the offer and wait and see. Right now, you are worse off than you’ve ever been in the political alignments of Nigeria. You have no relevance or bargaining power in any of the 2 parties that will produce the president. Which is better, to be a partner or to be an outsider?

Forget that wishful thinking, after talking about integrity? Ibos need to understand this is a very pivotal moment, the SE just blew their chance of the presidency because now every body has called their bluff!!!! There will be no SE president or VP in 2023 and you had a strong chance of the VP...but blew it. Obi was Atiku's natural running mate, he made appeals to the SE give me 1 term and I hand over to you but no!!! Ibos dont know how to play politics, it's not about who shouts the most but who has the stronger hand. GEJ became president by just complying with the people with the strong hand not by demanding p[residency and then throwing a fit when he doesnt get what he wants. Now even some elements in the North want him back. The north are the power brokers and they will hand over to the south if they see a southern candidate they can trust wont rock the boat.

while people like Obi and Wike were ruinning up and down meeting delegates, Aiku was strategizing because he knows the language of PDp delegates. he just appeared at the last minute like a don and went away with the ticket in the process sending Peter Obi and the SE into political oblivion,

peter Obi really did a disservice to the SE by leaving PDP because now they have no national party!!! Not only wont they get the presidency but now not even the VP slot. They are now an irrelevant force in both APC and PDP.

People like you don't vote lmao. You are still waiting for Tafawa Balewa or Awo or Sardauna to save you. I am going to build a monstrosity of a structure for LP in my wards. Take this as my final response, congratulations on wasting few minutes of my life smiley
There is effort for sake of being busy and the is effort for sake of having a desired effect. Voting for a mediocre candidate simply because the others are equally mediocre is merely effort for effort sake, it does not produce the desired result. It is like people constantly changing lanes in a traffic jam, you can think you are doing something but ultimately you are stuck in traffic and you will not go anywhere until the traffic eases. Have you changed lanes only to find the car behind you in lane you left is now ahead of you? Or how many times has the traffic been made worse by accidents caused by impatient people trying to change lanes? That is exactly the product and result of your mindset. This is how we ended up with Buhari.

Let me remind Nigerians that everything Awo did in the western region was achieved in 5 years! That’s vision, that’s leadership, that’s having a plan. You can argue that Obi is in your opinion the best of a bad bunch, I won’t agree or disagree with you, there isn’t much of a standard or metric but do t come here telling enlightened people Obi is brilliant, is a visionary, has a Brilliant master plan or is the savior ….he doesn’t and he is not!!!! Only unenlightened unexposed impoverished ignoramuses buy into his Rhetoric!!!!

That fact that there is no savior or visionary on the scene does not mean you should insult your education and call a charlatan a visionary and a savior. The fact that Jesus has not come does not mean you should replace Jesus and call your pastor Christ the son of God.

Whether you vote for a mediocre candidate and I stay at home we will both enjoy poor leadership until a true visionary leader arrives so for a man talking about wasting minutes of his life you will be wasting more voting for Peter Obi. Firstly because he won’t win and secondly because even if he did, his govt will be more of the same mediocrity and I who stayed at home will be no worse off for refusing to vote for mediocre candidates.

Tell me you are voting for Obi because it is time the SE produced the president, for equity, for peace and national cohesion and he is the best Ibo candidate of the Ibo politicians on the scene and I will not disagree with you, I will respect your reason, your thought process and you as a person for being able to give a valid reason for your actions. But don’t come here telling me he is the savior of the economy, has some grand vision or plan or can deliver Nigeria to the promised land because all that does is portray you are an intellectual lightweight and a man who cannot reason properly !!!!

From my knowledge of politics, full manifesto's come AFTER candidates have secured the tickets which Peter Obi only did a matter of HOURS ago. Please do not try to use these epistle's to bully people. You are well informed but you clearly don't know all and you have not watched all of Peter Obi's speeches. He has said over and over again how we can take the Bangladeshi and vietnamese models of exporting clothes! We have the skillset and women are always the biggest beneficiaries! Both of those countries earn more exporting clothes than we do oil!
BTW please watch peter Obi on Channels tv today with an open mind despite the fact that you are avid fans. peter Obi said he "wants to move Nigeria from consumption to production and exports". Seun finally asked him how? as if Seun read my posts.....please watch... the man just waffled and waffled but he never answered the question just like the guy earlier I was in discussion with , he just kept reeling more diversionary stats but failed to answer the question and you know Seun Okunbaloye is an intellectual lightweight so he got away with it. Please watch the interview and you will see what i have been saying. Obi bamboozles the uninformed with stats the real question is how?...the man evaded and failed to answer and instead quoted more stats but failed to answer the question....how?

I am convinced Obi is a trader who made money as a trader largely because he had exclusive license for certain key products and later went to a few business schools got bamboozled by the exposure and stats that any international 1st degree economics student knows and is using that to bamboozle ignorant Nigerians sounding like some saviour but he has no solution. He is not a man who will steal public funds but other than that e he has nothing to offer.

watch the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BkPlFndswM

Seun asked him how around the 20min watch and see what i am saying about Obi. after trying to sound intelligent by saying we only export $30b, Seun asks him how will he improve exports, the man says he will invest in health and education to improve exportshuhhuhhuh?? Yepa!! I hope you are all seeing, no mention of power, infrastructure, roads, bureaucracy bottle necks ans efficiencies etc etc etc and then he stats to reel more irrelevant stats nobosy asked him that have nothing to do with the question he was asked.

you also hear him say earlier he left $500m. you state lacks infrastructure and you are leaving $500m for who? you didnt see infrastructure projects to invest in? dont confuse an stingy man with a prudent man. Obi is stingy not prudent. There is laos a part where he pretends he didnt know what Wike said about his integrity and then later he is the one even telling Seun about Wike's interview!!

I have told you people this man is a charlatan!!

if Obi were electable, they wouldnt have forced him out of PDP. PDP wants to win, they dont care who the person is, as a friend in PDp said boys are hungry they have been in opposition too long and just want to win. The difference between online fans and politicians is that politics is the profession of politicians, they know who can and cannot win and who gives them the greatest chance. Obi is popular no doubt but his popularity is in the south and he doesnt command the whole of the south where even among his core base (youth) he is battling with Osinbajo but his most significant electoral liability is that his popularity in the south comes at a cost of Northern votes where he is virtually unelectable. if he were a southerner who had appeal in the North especially with his cult like following in the south, i have no doubt that they would have given him the ticket. When you hear bala and tambuwal speak you know they understand this is not a sentimental thing but who can get PDP elected...it's not Obi. he may gain PDp votes in the South but he loses them more votes in the North than he will GAIN in the south.

You are talking about a man who was governor of Anambra for 8 years under APGA when it was a PDP parliament. He did it successfully the. And he will do it now.

We do not need lofty 30 year plans. Our situation is dire. We spend almost 100% of revenues servicing debts and interest rates are rising globally. We need fiscal responsibility and we need to tighten our belts. Nigerians will have to suffer to fix this issue. Nigerians will not accept that suffering from criminals who are so obviously sharing the milk and honey of Nigeria in front of our eyes. I believe he is someone that can sell that message, he can create the political will to challenge and actually take down some of the vested interests in the country. Or we can take a chance with 76 year old Atiku or Buhari’s handpicked successor. Your vote, your choice
I didnt ask for 30 year plans i mentioned a 10 year plan, with milestones along the way to know we are on course by the end of his 1st term. Excuse me maybe you missed my last edited paragragh but after 8 years in power the IGR of Anambra was lower than what it was when he got into office. What exactly is his legacy in Anambra, what is his signature infrastructure that the people of namnra still enjoy today. I acknowledge he improved the education rating of Anambra which is good...what else? i ask genuinely because I have not heard or read anywhere of signature infrastructure during his tenure.

Anambra is not Abuja but seriously how do you run a state for 8 (eight) years and you leave with IGR lower than when you entered office (think about that o, ive never heard that before,,, eight years) and the small you have instead of investing in frastructure you "saved" for your successor to steal, at least Obiano upon all the empty treasury built airport. what did Obi do?

Thank you at least you are able to articulate something unlike the other brain dead supporter. Like I have said, I am not a youth, we have heard this over and over again, I am old enough to have heard all this since 1979, there is nothing new under the sun....they always fail, what i want to know is not what you want to do but how and how do you intend to make sure you dont fail. The how is the critical thing in all of this. All these things sound good on paper but there is a reason they never happen. When babangida devalued the naira in 1985, it was to spur an export led economy, the export boom never happened, factories closed down and the naira went down with it. Because to export you have to solve complex issues of electricity, govt bureaucracy, transport, security, port efficiencies corruption, forex to import raw materials and machinery that are even worse now and more entrenched than they were in the babangida era. So while i agree with you that in depth manifestos will truly start to circulate after primaries, the truth is anyone who hasnt got 1) an ambitious say $500b 10 year plan for key sectors who can say this is how many Km or roads or track i will deliver, this is my GDp target, this is my plan for security, this is how many police I will employ, etc etc and articulate how he will finance it. and 2) a clear plan to acheive certain revenue to GDP targets and 3) a plan of true fiscal restructuring, is going to fail....i dont need a crystal ball!!!

Like i said there is nothing new in what he is saying, People smarter than him, seasoned economists, industrialists and technocrats etc abound they are just not in the public space, there is nothing he is saying that is new, maybe to a generation used to mediocrity. But there were brilliant Nigerians who came up with our 1st,2nd and 3rd national development plans for example. What Nigeria needs is a plan and an ambitious one anything else is just noise and unfortunately he hasnt got a past record either in business or in government to suggest he can deliver, so until he can show be his plan, his targets, the metric for measuring success, timelines, potential obstacles and how he intends to overcome and most inportantly funding, this man has been around too long to be fooled.

it takes a lot to export, same aas you cant have agric or toutism without security and transport and you cant spend 4 years to build a 100km road or rail and expect agric or tourism or exports to take off, it aint gonna happen. The world is not going to wait for your late export orders because your supplies are late because of Nigerian factor, your foreign customers will find alternatives.

Finally you cannot run the country if you dont control parliament, so even if he wins under labour, how many labour party senators and reps does he have on his side? he wont get his way just like his period in Anambra with a PDp house, he will be lucky if he isnt impeached. So though i wait for his manifesto AFAIAC even if he has a convincing manifesto, he will fail because you need votes to approve your plans and budget.

In fact the more I think about it, even without seeing his manifesto the more I know he will be a disappointment and it is probably in his interest not to win and be seen as a hero by his supporters. Anyone who was around in 1983 knows what happened when Buhari was in power and I said it in 2015 that yes Buhari is a good anti corruption leader but he is clueless on the economy. Moreover, the circumstances have changed, it is hard to fight corruption as a civilian especially when you rode to power on the backs of corruption...I have been proven right!!! In the end he neither fought corruption, though it is better nor saved the economy. A similar fate awaits obi in the event that he wins, he will be held hostage by a corrupt parliarment who will either frustrate his plans and compromise him with sleaze because he shouldnt kid himself that he has the stature to end sleaze in Abuja in which case he him becomes compromised or he loses the reputation for cutting waste. Nigerian politics has a habit of compromising "clean" people, thats why the truly clean stay away and people with 1 eye start parading themselves as messiahs. If he wins irrespective of his plan, He will either get compromised, fail or be impeached!!

He Governed Anambra for 8 years as an APGA governor with a PDP house at the end he had nothing to show, a lower IGR than his predecessor left him 8 years before. He is either a failure or doesnt know how to get things done with an opposition house. Guess what?..... if he wins he will face the same scenario at the federal level bright ideas or no bright ideas!!!

If I have to articulate those brilliant ideas, I have to do it Side by side that of your PERFECT Candidate.

Unfortunately, since you don't even have a candidate, this has turned into a blind argument and I can make bold to say that You have not made any point on this discourse.
You know what they say: the problem with democracy is calibre of people that vote. unfortunately the electorate as you have exemplified are unintelligent, and lack critical thinking. You stated Obi has brilliant ideas, you didnt ask for my candidate when you stated that. So why do you meed my candidate to state these brilliant ideas....because you are afraid there are no brilliant ideas!!! One would think that if your candidate is so brilliant you would only be so eager to comvince a man who is undecided and has no candidate, after all your candidate faces an uphill task and needs every vote he can get!!!

If you cannot articulate the brilliance or even the policies of your candidate how has your education made you any different from the farmers, market women,, motor park touts or okada riders? Seriously you should be ashamed of your self!!! The sad thing about people like you is that the people I listed above are actually more intelligent than you....why? because they are the delegates who determine who you vote for and ultimately who will become your president!!!! The least you could at least do to yourself against these sad odds is to know why you support the candidate you support and be able to articulate it and convince some of these people as you come across them in your daily lives but as we see even you dont know why you do what you so.

We were brought up in excellence, so we know what good leadership is, we also know what doesn't work.

I will give you 2 good examples, we have been hearing we will fix electricity, we we promote agric since the 1970s. Obasanjo in 1975 had Operation feed the nation, Shagari had green revolution, Jonathan and Buhari came with Agric nonsense, they all failed!! people like me know why they failed before so we dont buy into their BS. As an example I knew Buhari would fail in Agriculture because you can close the border all you want but how does a farmer plant when he is not safe on his farm? Secondly if you have to close borders to revive agriculture it is a sign your agric products are not competitive, thirdy, true modern efficient agriculture does not employ a lot of people, because planting and harvesting are done by machines so Nigerian agricultural products can NEVER be competitive on the international markets using manual labour. Anyone who therefore tells you Agriculture will bring forex is lying to you or does not understand economics amf that is why they always fail. On power they all say they will end darkness but they never say how, many GW they intend to construct and by what date and most importantly how they will pay for it, is it any surprise i have spendtmore than half of my natural life knowing nothing but blackouts and empty promises? With either experience or intellect, there are some things you dont have to wait to fail to know they will fail. That is why when someone promises or comes with Economic BS, you have to ask him how, what are the targets and how will you fund it?

If you want ab ibo president dont be afraid to say so but dont kid yourself he is the messiah or has any brilliant ideas! Its all the noise of a salesman! clealry a brilliant salesman considering his personal business and followership.

You have been so dumbed down you dont know when someone is bullshitting you. Has he given you an annual gdp growth rate target? has he told you where he intends the GDP to be by end of his 1st term? Has he told you which sectors will drive that GDP growth? has he told you how many jobs he intends to create in which sectors, Has he told you HOW he is going to create those jobs? has he told you how he is going to stabilise the Naira, has he told you how he intends to fight security, has he told you HOW he intends to provide electricity? Has he given you any targets for his promises? if you examine all his rhetoric all peter Obi does is rehash Business school BS that he has no track record of implementing in his private or public life. When he was in Anambra what we can even say look this is what he did? You saved money so that Obioano could steal, is that something to be proud of, would he not have been better to spend the money he saved and even borrow more to build roads and infrastructure so that whoever is coming after him will have to raise IGR if he wants to steal because debt payments for existing infrastructure that people are enjoying means there is no money to steal unless you raise IGR?. All he says is "production" "production" but even inhis private life he is not a producer of anything, he is a trader!!!!! buying and selling!!! has he told you what his plans are to get all the much touted mineral resources of Nigeria out of the ground? has he told you how many thousand hectares of agricultural land he intends to bring on board during his administration and which will be the priority crops, has he told you which products he has identified that Nigeria can export ot get additional forex? I bet you the answers to all of these are a resounding NO!!

You people never learm people with vision and real ideas give definite targets and tell you how they intend to go about it, if they fail to reach their target, at least they will get somewhere because they have a target they can be benchmarked against. mediocrity just says i will do i will do, no targets, no details how they intend to do...this is why we have a leadership like Buhari.

The reason why we get mediocre leaders is also down to the electorate, they dont ask the right questions, we are not very bright. next time a man says I will do, ask him how, when, with which money...then you will see who is truly a messiah or a fraud!!!!

In the country of the blind a one eyed man is King, peter Obi can only sound brilliant to someone who is either unintelligent or ignorant. Intelligent people who understand how business, governance and great countries and visionaries work and think can see through peter Obi as a fraud!!!!

Nit like I said we are talking of a citenzenry that think that a billionaires son of 30 years not being able to buy his own car is a thing to be proud of or saving money for saving sake is great leadership, or carrying uour own bag means you are humble. There is a difference between humble and stingy. Obi is clearly a stingy man, everything about him says stingy...understand the difference between stingy and humble as well as stingy and good leader.

I don't see anything wrong with the letterhead. It is a personal letter written from his desk. It doesn't have to be sleek.
I am very sure his company letterhead will be much more attractive.
you dont surprise me, many Nigerians will not see anything wrong because most Nigerians have been conditioned to expect mediocrity.

Like someone said on twitter, if this is the kind of letter head a former governor, bank chairman, business mogul, former vice presidential candidate and now presidential aspirant uses, it should tell anyone with a brain and any insight that he has nothing to offer but mediocrity!!! i am not bothered because I know he isnt going to win but I would be really afraid for Nigeria if he actually won the presidential elections.

just look at that letter head please...it is unbecoming, it looks like the letter of a small time electrician or building contractor , not a man who sayas he has attended prestigious schools like oxford havard etc!!

From the crop of mediocre contestants who is the least mediocre that you could manage?
I will wait to see who emerges be fore i decide, none of them is worth stressing over for now when they havent won their party tickets.

Who is your preferred candidate if you don't mind me asking? Who do you believe has the capacity to actually change Nigeria for good?
The only person of the current crop of politicians that comes closest to what you asked isnt contesting....fashola and even then the key words are "comes closest". You need to understand that sincere people with a plan and vision are not in politics. none of these aspirants is the messiah, the options on offer are a choice in levels of mediocrity and which is least mediocre!

When you hate someone you almost always ignore the story after reading the gory headlines.
I made these posts below before i even saw the Channels interview ( you can check the time stamps) and anyone who knows me knows I have always questioned the integrity of both Obi and osinbajo based on their actions but many of you people are too desperate for change you dont see beneath the charade just like in 2015, people were so desperate for change they didnt take a critical look as Bugari's record. there is nothing Bugari is doing now I didnt warn people about in 2015. it is not hate I am just not as dumb as all of you who have been hoodwinked by the charade and rhetoric. I am no fan of Wike, he is not presidential but but he has some basic common sense that many Nigerians seems to lack, one thing for sure he is a straight shooter something that cant be said of Obi.. I respect Wike because he says it as it is but I cant vote for him, Obi has shown he is a questionable character. You cannot ignore a man;s character and his past record simply because it suits you...it will come back to bite you in the ass. Obi is not the answer, neither is Osinbajo but thankfully neither has the delegates to become president.

I am not familiar with Anambra politics but i do know one thing, once you are out of power you are out of power, once an erstwhile nobody controls the party structure and delegates, you become the nobody. Just look at the pasting okowa gave Ibori in Delta or Dapa Abiodun winning 100% delegate votes in Ogun. Very few people control party structures once out of power and usually they arent the combative (my way or i quit) type. Peter Obi has decamped twicwe from Apga to Pdp and now to wherever he is going, I doubt anyone sees him as a loyal party man!!! In any even it is delegates that determine the candidate as obi himself has found out and that takes years of loyalty, thats why you see delegates collecting huge sums from aspirants and still getting Zero votes..

The most stupid thing he could ever have done but then, he has a record of jumping from one party to another. I have personally not bought into the whole Peter Obi narrative and rhetoric. Ask his fans to tell you what exactly his legacy in Anambra is and they cant point to anything besides the education ranking went up during his tenure. What exactly is his signature infrastructure project, nobody can answer, they talk about prudence but is it not the money he supposedly saved that Obiana has now chopped, would Anambrans have been better off if he left the state in debt but left behind infrastructure he can pint to? I keep telling people all this talk of "i saved money", to what end? nobody elected you to save they elected you to spend wisely on infrastructure. A man who thinks it is a thing to be proud of that his 30 yr old son doesnt have a car, abeg if the 30yr old son of a billionaire has not been raised well enough to buy his own car you have failed as a father!! All we ever hear from him is "I have 2 shoes", "in japan", in morocco, in china etc etc...when you were in govt what did you do....nothing!!! Under himthe IGR of Anambra went down!!!

if you actually put the man under a microscope he is nothing but hot air!!!

I am not a PDp supporter or a fan of Wike but There are few politicians in Nigeria i respect more than Wike and Fayose, rough and uncouth as they are they have integrity and character and are loyal!!!!

He is just too rough to be a president but he is exactly the kind of man Nigeria needs...a no nonsense, speaj the truth, principled, no bullshit kinda guy!!!

But really wike is too childish.
How can you go about ranting unnecessary things......such a thing may only earn you enemity.

There are just few things he ought to highlight but he stooped low

RIP PDP
He is actually right. Obi has shown behind all the rhetoric he has no integrity. His jumping from party to party after he has acheived what he wants from them prooves he is not loyal. i posted the exact thing a few hrs ago before the interview.
