Osinbajo is not wise,he had allowed himself to be used by Tinubu for dirty politics. And Eleyi the governor is useless politically
No he allowed himself to be used by the RCCG and their religious agenda. As a pastor he should have known that God does not reward betrayal.

Take note that the only contestants from the SW who did not step down are Pastors!!

The idea of a pastor even contesting for office is ridiculous, i am a Christian myself, but imagine the outrage if an Islamic cleric was contesting for office?

The pentecostal church is a big part of what is wrong with Nigeria today...a shockingly lack of a sense of morality in their leadership and hence their congregation!!!

Politics › Re: APC Primaries: Best Way To Get A Consensus Candidate by casualobserver: 3:51pm On Jun 07, 2022
Obinoscopy:
If I were Buhari and the rest of the APC NWC, the way I'd get a consensus candidate would be from the Aspirants themselves.

How would I do it? I'd ask the aspirants to submit the top three aspirants they think would do great as President. I would then collate all the list and pick the aspirant with the highest score. This way, whoever gets the ticket has a higher chance of been acceptable to most of the aspirants thus preventing rancor within the party.

This is a scientific way to do it.

My two cents.
ko le work

it is clear some candidates have no intention of stepping down and only signed the consesus agreement form in the hope they would be the consensus candidate.

Samirana360:
The northerners are playing politics well.... if apc brings out a southerner then all of them wil run to atiku....they believe leadership is their birthright
This northern agenda is a myth. No doubt there are a few northern elements who believer in Northern supremacy but evidence does not bear out that this is a widely held Northern view.

The reality as displayed by the actions of the Northern Apc governors as well as events at the PDP primaries and what is going with with APC southern candidates is that the real enemies of Nigeria are the southerners. I say this as a yoruba man.

Not just enemies of Nigeria but enemies of the south.

Lol ... All is fair in war.

Dele Momodu shared copies of Ovation magazines to party delegates at PDP primaries.

He got zero vote nonetheless
Dele Momodu will get zero votes even if he was the only candidate. Dele Momodu was born to get zero votes. i say the man contested in 2011, left his house to vote at his polling booth with his wife cook and driver , when the result came out he had only 1 vote.

Daftness on display, someone has a block vote, nobody else has block votes and instead of you to unite behind someone else eg Amaechi, you are busy giving your votes to a no-hoper! At the very least give your votes to Umahi who is still in the race if you are going to back someone who can’t win, So at least you build good will for next time.

eldoradoxx:
Ahmed Lawan is also a Northerner. You can't Trust the delegates since voting is through a secret ballot. The delegates can agree with the Governors and go to the voting cubicle to vote Ahmed Lawan, very possible.
in as much as some people have agendas, they know they cant elect a candidate that cannot defeat Atiku. It is electorally suicidal for them to elect Lawan.

War Against Tinubu at its peak.
Make God help him
it only enhances Tinubu's chances. Votes from the SE and SS may have gone to either Amaechi or Osinabjo will now be spread amongst candidates that will not win. Tinubu is ahead have no doubt about that, it is his challengers that need votes to catch him and more people there are in the race only hurts the top challengers like Osinbajo and Amaechi.

immortalcrown:
All those shouting "Get your PVCs" are delusional. The number (population) of voters is never the problem. The choice voters make is the problem.

If only ten persons vote and the majority (at least six) of the ten persons vote wisely, good leaders will emerge.

If 100 billion persons vote and majority of them vote foolishly, bad leaders will emerge.

If number of voters is the problem, there will be no problem in the northern region because that region usually give a very high number of votes.

I do not discourage people from getting PVCs. But I put it to you that number of voters is not among the major problems. Rigging is a bigger problem than low number of voters. The moment INEC was challenged to provide 2019 election data in court, the case died off. This shows Atiku got more legitimate votes than Bubu. Would you blame the 2019 result on those who did not vote? Also, what about the case of Imo state where someone who came 3rd or 4th in an election later became the governor? Is low number of voters responsible for that?

Number of voters only favours tribalism. And tribalism is not good in politics. A good leader is good to all tribes. A bad leader is bad to even his own tribe. Each tribe is clamoring for PVCs just to possible make its son the president. Igbo people are shouting PVCs to ensure Obi wins. Yoruba people are shouting the same thing to ensure either Tinubu or Osinbajo wins. Northerners are doing their own thing to make a northerner the next president. This is the problem.

If voters vote wisely, a good candidate will win and treat everybody well even if the majority of the voters are not from his own tribe. If voters vote foolishly, a bad candidate will win and treat everybody bad even if majority of the voters are from his own tribe. Bubu is a proof.

I repeat, I do not discourage people from getting PVCs. I myself have my own PVC. But let us understand PVC is not the major problem.
Nigerians are fools, like you said it doesnt matter how many people turn out if they still vote for the wrong candidate, it was the same get your pvc that ended up in Buhari when if eople had taken a critical look at the man;s record what we are experiencing now was foretold. I dare say if you take a critical examination of Obi, you will find nothing but emptiness...hot air! The good thing is he has something you can examine, his stewardship of Anambra. The truth is he was a mediocre governor. Nigerians are dumb, how do you want to rule Nigeria from a fringe party with parliament filled with apc and PDp senators and reps? Mogerians really dont think!!!

...but anyway, he wont win.

Best option is for the APC Governors to insist on primary election and maintain their stand.
thats what they have done.

The irony is that while osinbajo is trying to fester disunity in the SW and Orji Kalu trying to implant Lawan, it is the Northern governors fighting for the south.

it the the responsibility of the state chapters to provide transport and daily stipend for their assignment in Abuja. Accommodation is the responsibility of the national chapter. Beyond that they are owed nothing.
