BeeBeeOoh:" “The NLC has a membership of about 5 million, the TUC has a membership of about 8 to 10 million, the number of students registered in the Federal universities is about 2.5 million, those who are not in the Federal universities are about 6.7 million, when you add all that together, you are looking at about 20 reserved voters that have direct affiliation with Labour Party." typical Peter Obi, talking theory and reeling stats. market women may be technically part of TUC but only their leadership know, ask the typical market woman woman anywhere in Ngeria, they dont know anything about |labour party and many of them are die hard APC or PDP supporters and will never change. it's like telling NURTW, they are technicall part of the labour party. This is the problem with peter OBi, too much theory but if you examine his reality it doesnt match his rhetoric. |
Buckeyemedia1:Who told you i am a Tinubu supporter? Let me make this clear to you much as I am not a Tinubu supporter, the 2 biggest jokers in this election are the peter Obi and Osinbajo supporters. |
and yet not once did he formally hand over to the person people claim is the anointed one |
It is clear Adamu was installed for a clandestine reason. |
helinues:there will be no annointing oil |
Esseite:which people? the same people that opposed a parliarment that padded budgets or give themselves fat salaries. Let me tell you the reality of these people you talk about: you make so much noise during ENDSARS only to fighting today on which old leader to elect...all of these candidates are well above 60...they are old!!!! you had 3 years to mobilise and form your own party, you didnt. because you are all hot air, noise makers. Atiku or Tinubu will be your president men in their 70s and you will all fall in line!!!!! Nigerians are useless, the elders are useless, the middle age are useless , the youth are useless, there is nothing that is happening now that hasnt happenned before, read about Nigeria's history from pre independence struggle, you will realise we are incapable of running our own affairs, it took only 6 years of the British leaving for things to fall apart. Everything that is happening now has happenned before just a different set of actors, like i said read more Nigerian history, you will be surprised how you will read accounts of events in the 1950s and it's exactly what is happening today. id anything todays youth are more useless, because you actually have better tools and the demographics are in your favour but your brains are dead!!!! At least the older generation, the Awos, Ziks, Balewas, Gowons, etc were actaully patriotric and brave and didnt wait for anyone to hand them power. idiotic youths are coming on nairaland arguing over old men with mediocre ideas and talking of "the people", do you guys even think? That Rinu of Endsars for example whenever I see her tweets, I say to myself what an idiot, you had a platform and the worlds attention, you should have spent the last 2 year creating your own youth party and mobilising for 2023 with young people instead the fool spends all her time on twitter insulting old men. thats the reality of the people you talk about!!! psquare went to endsars to protest only to now campaign for a 60year old man who has done nothing special in governance. Brymo is campaigning for a 70 year old Tinubu and Dakolo is campaigning for a 78 year old Atiku..........Nigerians are their own problem, the only difference between old and young Nigerians is that the young are not yet old. |
bluefilm:What precedents? i keep asking this question nobody ever answers. Saving money is not good management in Nigeria because the money loses its value every day so you are better of spending it on key projects because those needed projects will cost approximately double every 4 years so whatever you gain by saving you lose when it comes time to spend. You are elected to spend money, saving money when your state needs infrastructure only for the next man to loot is not good management. What is his legacy infrastructure wise in Anambra? Finally on saving peter Obi forgets to tell everyone that much of the money he reportedly saved was not his money to begin with, a lot of it was local govt allocations that he kept because there were no local govt elections during his tenure. Finally how can you be a good manager that your IGR was less after 8 years in office than the IGR when you took office...who does that and calls himself a good manager? |
Esseite:oga please forget all this story. peter Obi even if he wins cannot solve Nigeria's corruption problems, they will either frustrate him from doing anything if he refuses to play ball or they will compromise him or he will be forced to look the other way while the corruption continues like Buhari. Buhari is economically incompetent, we always knew that, he was brought in to fight corruption, If Buhari cannot fight corruption trust me it is not Peter Obi that will fight it. he will be lucky if he isnt impeached withing a year. Nigeria is corrupt, you are corrupt, if you are below 35 years all you've know nall your life is corruption, it is part of your DNA!!! there is more to governing a country that just winning the presidency, how does he expect to govern with a parliament full of APC and PDp legislators? How many times was he impeached in Anambra as an APGA governor in a PDP legislature? Do you guys even think at all? The bottom line is does he want to be president or not? If so he made the wrong move. if all he wants to to is raise his profile and be in the limelight, speaking English up and down and reling stats without providing concrete solutions, then yes go and contest under Labour but if you want to be president of Nigeria there are only 2 avenues it can be acheived APC or PDP. osinbajo is a serious contender for the Vp slot, nobody knew him 7 years ago, he has no political structures, nothing, thats the power of being a VP but you are too emotional to accept VP slot...so go and be president of Labour Party who will demand more money from him than anything he could have spent at the PDP convention . If he didnt want to buy delegates (itself a contradiction because money changed hands when he contested with Atiku in 2019) he should just have allowed Atiku to spend the money and be his Vice. I repeat Atiku promised the Se he wil serve one term and hand over to them, who else was he refering to if not peter Obi? No he has bleeped it up and if Atiku wins another SS person will become Vp and likely President before the SE. Politics is about strategy, not emotion......know this and know peace in your life. if Obi cannot even get his strategy right it shows he is driven by emotion rather than strategy it shows he doesnt think right and would not make a good president. |
I have always maintained that anyone discerning enough to look beyond the rhetoric would see that Peter Obi is not the man of integrity he portends to be. He isnt corrupt but there is a difference between being corrupt and having integrity. By definition a corrupt man has no integrity but because a man isnt corrupt does not mean he has integrity!!! |
Esseite:Why would I be angry? You know emotion is why the SE never succeed politically. I giving you facts, you are using emotive language! If Peter Obi has used his head not emotion he would be the vice presidential candidate of the PDP today and if Atiku keeps his promise the president of Nigeria in 2027. But as is typical he got emotional and move to a party where his chances are 0% |
Esseite:Not at the expense of disengaging the brain the lord gave you. If the lord is going to do everything for you why would he bother giving you a brain? If you are going to provide for your child when he is grown, why bother training him or sending him to school? A man is not popular in a zone where the majority of votes come from, he hasn’t got a strong party structure or army of foot soldiers/apostles that can penetrate that demographic and you are still harping on about Him? You actually don’t need to have a brain to know that Peter Obi’s quest to be president is dead in the water! His best chance was becoming VP and he killed it by leaving PDP. Atiku made a promise, I will serve 1 term and hand over to SE, Atiku is now the presidential candidate…..go figure!!!! Obi’s move to Labour was self sabotage! There was a 50% chance of a SE vp in 2023 and a SE president in 2027, he just cut both chances to 0% |
Esseite:youve clearly been spending too much time in church listening to Pastors and less time with books sharpening your brain. |
Esseite:Dream on. Most Northerners have never even heard of him despite being Atiku’s vp candidate. Only a few educated northerners are aware of him and they don’t want him. Don’t forget, the majority voters in the North are uneducated and communicate in Hausa, they do t watch Peter Obi on the platform a debating medium in English organized by a church, what would they doing there in the first place to have even heard of him? they don’t have Twitter or Facebook. |
hisexcellency34:Thats why he never formally handed power to him again whenever he travels abroad for extended periods and why key portfolios were taken away from him? |
Esseite:A liberal minded moderate Northerner who knows his people is telling you the harsh reality that you need somebody that can overcome Northern sentiment and you are here typing peter Obi? |
You forgot to add Emefiele and Jonathan. Buhari is a lame duck president, Party members know, they are according him respect but they know he is on his way out and he is likely to be aloof once he is gone. |
duwdu:I dont think Buhari is as comfortable with Osinbajo as appearances suggest. To begin with he has never formally handed power over to him again when out of the country ever since that period when he was sick and Vp did and undid. That to me says a lot. Secondly Osinbajo's supervision of certain key programs has been quietly taken away. Thirdly, I doubt he will snub Tinubu and then add insult to injury by anointing Osinbajo and expect there to be peace in APC. Like it or not religion matters, Buhari is a religious fundamentalist, Amaechi is a moderate Christian, VP is basically a proxy for RCCG, they are not moderate in their views, they have an agenda. If he cant handover to a muslim, he will prefer a moderate christian. Finally I think there is a hint from the fact that the cabal were looking to the SS for a successor, in their failed attempts..... Emeifiele and Jonathan are from the SS. If it's not Tinubu and it's not osinbajo, it has to be Amaechi, the others dont tick enough boxes Amaechi seems to be his golden boy, in charge of one of his key legacy infrastrutur projects. he was twice his campaign DG and no doubt aside from Fashola his best performing minister. Amaechi is everybody's friend, has no enemies in APC except Wike in PDP. |
Monkeypox has been around forever, you didnt know to ban bushmeat or importation of wild animals, it is when oyinboman got monkeypox you are banning? Unserious people!!! |
Truthisunique2:you are clearly an ignoramus. Consensus form was included "in case it is needed" and it was not compulsory you filled it, in fact you were not meant to submit it. According to INEC rules unless ALL candidates must formally indicated they are in favour of a consensus, (hence the consensus form) otherwise there is no consensus and elections must happen. This thing is Bigger than Buhari, these are laws of the land, if 1 person says no, then elections must go on, so please, go and consult your beer parlour mates and try again. |
JayPeeOham:why would Buhari need consensus for Tinubu, he is already the front runner. All this cabal agenda of Emeifele and Jonathan clearly shows he isnt supporting Tinubu, do you think he isnt aware of those moves. |
triple996:If he wanted Tinubu, there would be no need for consensus. He clearly doesnt want Tinubu but he will not succeed because Tinubu wont step down. He will either allow a fair election or the party will implode. Tinubu cannot afford a consensus unless he is the consensus candidate because he will be finished politically. Remember how he was treated by the cabal? His joker is that they cannot force a consensus on him and only a fool with agree to his own execution. We want to eliminate you so please sign here so we can eliminate you...who does that? i highly suspect his candidate is Amaechi. |
brainbox34:Buhari can ask all he likes, if Tinubu refuses to step down, consensus is dead |
fergie001:i still dont know his name and I am sure many people didnt even register his name while reading the story |
Afamed:Tambuwal did the right thing for PDP. I have said it many times it is not a Northern agenda or a Northern gangup, it was a winning gangup because the truth is Wike cannot win nationally. I have posted this before: Atiku was not endorsed by the Northern cabals, their candidates were Saraki and Bala Mohammed. I have also posted that Dino confirmed that Katsina and Kano (2 of the highest voter delegates) voted for Wike. It was when Tambuwal and Atiku saw that Wike would win and hence PDp would lose the 20232 election that they made a deal. ther is no northern conspiracy unfortunately southerners are too emotional to see sense. The North are just as divided as the south. It is always the south that sell themselves to the North. If the south voted for Wike as agreed Wike would have won because he had support in the North, unfortunately after shouting power shift, many states in the south sold themselves to Atiku. The reality is Atiku is the only person that can win for PDP so while I understand why Tambuwal and some southern states went with Atiku, there was also a clear betrayal and hypocrisy from the south because if you truly beleive in a cause then put your votes behind it. |
yinkus6750:who are you refering to? |
shadrach77:No like all whites she is more interested in claiming credit and appropriating what isnt hers than highlighting your issues. Your issues to her are only a path to fame for her. they dont care and quite frankly neither to Nigerians themselves. |
"Soro soke werey" actually started from the Nigerian footballing community and was already trending in the Nigerian tweeter football community before Endsars. A few days before the event that triggered ENDSARS there was some banter on tweeter between 2 sets of fans in a 2 legged European match between Bayern Munich and another team. The 1st leg went in favour of the Bayern and fans were rejoicing on Twitter, unfortunately they lost the second leg and also the aggregate tie. The official twitter of Bayern simply posted "4-1" as the result of the second match (which they had lost) without indicating which club won. Whereupon a twitter follower posted a reply to the tweet: "soro soke werey who get 4? who get 1?" Thats the origin of "soro soke werey" many have tried to appropriate it to themselves but this is the true origin. Obviously a football fan aware of the trending tweet simply shouted it at Alausa and it blew and became the slogan! below is the tweet that started it all, check the date: The tweet was 27th sep. The event that triggered the endsars protest (a video showing a SARS police officer shooting a young Nigerian in front of Wetland Hotel,) did not happen until the 3rd of october , Endsars protests did not begin until 8th october. it was on 9th october when Hamzat was addressing protesters that the phrase was 1st used in the protest.

helinues:why? it's like speeding on the way to your wedding and the police stopped you and you say they should have allowed you to go to your wedding, why were you speeding? if you werent speeding they wont stop you. Police have no business with your wedding, you were speeding you were caught you face the law. It is the responsibility of you who knows you have an important appointment to make sure you dont do anything that will prevent you from attending your appointment. |
helinues:He would have failed his screening. One of the questions asked was whether the aspirants have any cases pending before ICPC or EFCC. In any event he was the one that jumped bail and failed to appear in court 3 times. If he didnt jump bail the Judge would not have ordered EFCC to produce him, hence the forceful arrest. |
Nicenixon:you are talking nonsense, Kano and Katsina delegates voted for Wike. Anambra voted Atiku, Cross River voted Atiku, Delta, bayelsa voted Atiku Lagos and ogun were both split Ogun between Atiku and Saraki, Osun voted Saraki,, Oyo and Ekiti went Wike, , Ondo voted Atiku, Enugu voted Atiku, Imo went with Tambuwal who eventually voted Atiku. That is where Wike lost the election, like I said Dino confirmed that Kano and Katsina voted for Wike. So only an intellectually weak person will come here and talk of Northern gangup. Many in the North voted for Wike, his southern counterparts bleeped him up!!!! If the south had backed Wike, there was nothing tambuwal could have done. More than 50% of Wike's votes actually came from the North Stop blaming a mythical Northern cabal. The Northern elders did not even endorse Atiku, they endorsed Saraki and Bala muhammed!! Northern domination or Northern cabal is an excuse southerners use to hide their own disunity. The North has never been united, it is a myth!!!! If you check the history of Nigerian elections, the North has NEVER EVER voted as 1 voice. their power has always been in collaboration with some elements in the south....ALWAYS from Balewa to Shagar to PDP to APC no civilian government headed by the North has ever gotten enough votes to win without the south. |
Ejiphill09:No let me educate you, Anambra voted Atiku, Cross River voted Atiku, Delta, bayelsa voted Atiku Lagos and ogun were both split Ogun between Atiku and Saraki, Osun voted Saraki,, Oyo and Ekiti went Wike, , Ondo voted Atiku, Enugu voted Atiku, Imo went with Tambuwal who eventually voted Atiku. More than 50% of Wike's votes actually came from the North |
alsudan:One of Atiku or Tinubu will be Nigeria's president and Peter Obi will return to his normal stomping ground talking grammar and reeling stats without offering viable solutions bamboozling mediocre minds at the elevation church's annual platform summit. |
