Why did Nairaland bot not censor the word "erect" in the heading to "attention"? Heh, partiality. Okay o. |
AFONJAPIG:Oh crap. NL needs a "dislike" or "thumbs down" button for goodness sake! More emojis even. A tribal bigot and child molester in one. What could be a worse combination? |
smallsmall:Thank you for that impressive outlook and analysis of things as they are. |
Goahead:Ekiti people have had to ask Fayose one or two pertinent questions: • How much is the monthly IGR in the state? This is required to be made public knowledge because he always goes on air to announce the monthly loan deductions that occur on the monthly FG allocation to the state and justifies that as a reason he needs to keep owing salaries. As much as he emphasizes that, he has never for once made mention of or come out accountable on the state IGR and how it is spent. • Since he cane on board, he has instituted several ways to generate IGR which include:- - A quarterly NGN500 development levy for every student (KG, Nursery, Primary and Higher institution) in the state. - A duplication of the above levy but this time it is paid by the respective educational institutions per head of its students. The schools therefore includes this levy in the tuition fees, meaning each student gets to pay the total of 1000 naira as development levy. - Masons, truck and tipper owners have to pay to the government 500 naira per load of delivery made to customers. The money is eventually added to the customers' bills. - Cow butchers need to pay 1000 naira per cow butchered. This levy is also transferred to the buyers of the meat. - Wrong vehicle parking attracts a fine of forty thousand naira once your car is impounded. Nothing less than 50 vehicles fall victim daily. • Banks that operate in the state were made to pay a "state levy" of at least fifty million naira. Apparently these monies are truly owed by the banks, so they agreed to pay. However the mode of payment is what is suspicious - The "state levy" is to be brought to Fayose in Ghana-must-go bags. Most banks complied except two (Eco bank and GTB). The penalty for non compliance is that they cease operations in the state forthwith. Also Ekiti state civil servants with salary accounts with such banks were mandated to transfer their salary accounts to some other banks. After 6 months of banned operation in the state, Eco bank buckled under pressure and paid their own Ghana-must-go "state levy" to Fayose and they went back to operations. GTB is still holding fort and has had their banking halls under lock and key for almost a year now. Ekiti citizens who wish to transact business with GTBank have to go to neighbouring Ondo state or Kwara states to do business with GTB. • Fayose is owing as much as 6 months in salary arrears. He has not been transparent in the disbursement of the paris club refunds and other bail outs from the FG. People are careful to confront him with these burning questions for fear of intimidation - Fayose's first term as governor was literally a bloody one for those who entertain dissenting opinions. People are trying to be more careful this time around. |
Charly68: Hehehe. Fowl-yose, right? |
Son: T-Rex Father: T-Goat Na wa o. |
trustyshoess: Savage! |
ipoblogic:Good leaders like GEJ, right? |
ubongoton:I thought I saw the picture too, being circulated. I can't remember vividly and I thought it was just my imagination. I also believe that of Genevieve Nnaji too trended about the same time. But now that you corroborate it, dAmn! That dude is one badoo! |

Awaja:It's an ICBM, with a Plutonium warhead. It's made in India and had enough potentiation done with incantations from renowned India Maharajis |
DTaj:Actually he has also come out publicly to declare that all the many plane crashes that pervaded his dispensation as aviation minister were caused by witches and wizards. It's sickening to say the least. |
Jagabanmonerry:Errrr... Just for the purpose of future reference, Pluto contrary to what we were taught has been declared a non-planet. It's no longer one of the nine planets. This was confirmed about some 5 years ago. So in effect, there are now eight planets. Don't even know what mnemonic will now work for eight planets. Anyways, more facts are being debunked on daily basis and the knowledge we had then as kids are really being challenged. Another example is the recent revelation that "cholesterol" as we know it to be bad cholesterol "isn't entirely bad after all". I mean can you imagine that?! |

Are these self-adhesive wallpapers? If not, what is the aftereffect of the wallpaper glues on the wall after removal of wallpaper? |
Macgreat:Are the wallpapers and panels self-adhesive or it requires the use of a other layer of adhesive on the wall? |
sassyangel1:Maybe you should consider the inconvenience of breast milk otorrhoea on the baby and it's subsequent stress on you when you take it to visit the doctor. It's not just like heat rash or something. It can actually get messier, like the baby developing fever for example. |
Ruggedpen:As at now, only GTBank and I think Access bank allows this on their Naira debit card. Other banks freaked out and chickened out when the recession began and have not deemed it fit to resume that service even as we are outta recession. For such banks, obtaining their dollar mastercard my give you the chance to use their cards. |
olusegunthomas:You select your items and add them to your cart. You need to give him your login details into your AliExpress account for him to do the payment. The items, irrespective of the method of payment, will be shipped to the shipping address you have already entered into your user profile and settings i.e. the shipping address. Note however that in case there is a default in delivery of goods and you file for a dispute which is ruled in your favour, the refund will be into the account of the person that paid the money, so in this case, that will be your friend. |

wonlasewonimi:You're smart. Thumbs up. Couldn't have easily conceived that angle. |
I got a solar set up from an online mall. It contains an all-in-one 1000 watts 12volts/220volts inverter (has in-built solar charge controller, but no AC input), a solar panel, 100amp deep cycle battery and a 12 volt 10amps 240 volts AC intelligent battery charger. I have the all set up excluding the 240 volts main 12v intelligent battery charger. My question: Along with the set up, is any of the components safe if I connect the AC intelligent battery charger to the battery terminals directly without having it (the battery) disconnected from the inverter first? I assume that doing this will eliminate the routine of having to disconnect the solar panel first, followed by the battery from the inverter unit each time I intent to charge the battery directly from AC. Please urgent replies will be much appreciated.

Ratello:. Chidinma did not leave Nigeria. She is a celebrity and few even talk about her case nowadays. Events will equally overtake this. Time will blot it out of peeps consciousness to the subconscious. |
MICHEALADEX:That's a critical observation you made there. Jah bless ya. |
OlaMiki:Fáyòsé may have stockpiled enough cash to back up and fund any political manoeuvres you may bring his way. So I believe money to spend for politics is not his headache for now. In serious injustice to the Ekiti people, he has not been entirely honest with the citizens on the utilizations of FG monthly allocations, IGRs, Budgetry assists, previous bailouts and the most recent paris club refund. This has chronically led to his owing salary arrears of up to 9 months. Now you may say he is not alone in owing salaries, but that is what they want you to think in other to justify their looting behind the curtain. Aside from the IGR which Fáyòsé have never allowed the people to know much about, cash inflow and revenues into Ekiti coffers is public knowledge and it's therefore easy to compare revenue with expenditure. This has led people to believe that the governor an indeed pay salaries without problems. But the account book has somehow remain unbalanced. The good thing however is that "sharing of money and other incentives" to buy votes work in only few places these days due to increased awareness amongst the electorates. So people will readily take whatever monies he spends, but still follow their own determined voting pattern. |
autojosh:It is to come with the option of front wheel or four wheel drive. Does this imply that the likes of BMW and maybe MB are already buying into the revolutionary FWD idea of the Japanese? RWD was so unique and classical in terms of drive and handling that FWD cannot even fathom. And with the believe that German auto companies have been able to match up the fuel economy of the Japanese while still maintaining their signature RWD, I am surprised that a 2018 car from BMW is coming with FWD. |
Nellybii:This here is someone that knows what goes on. Fáyòsé is dictatorial; handpicks political appointees and subsequently muzzles them - Check Fáyòsé is garrulous. While that is nothing on it's own, it's his penchant to use such talkativeness as one man show that is the problem - Check Once before, the deputy had attempted to be outspoken on some public issues. Fáyòsé simply publicly shouted him down, chastised him and ridiculed him, talking as far as insulting the deputy's father. Before and of course after this episode, the deputy chose to be forever silent and hold his peace. That's one of the reasons you don't know him like you know Lérè Oláyínká. While he may have gotten few things in governance correctly, Ekiti people are tired of Fáyòsé's unreasonable excesses and shenanigans. Fáyòsé would not condone dissenting views of any kind no matter how superiorly reasonable such view is. People have therefore decided to save their skin and play safe by indulging him, meanwhile the general consensus among majority of Ekiti indigenes have been decided upon - make their statement at the pills and thereafter treat his fücks-off after he is out of power. This is one reason they may not massively vote for his apparent stooge in prof. Kólápò, even though the latter may have turned out to be a man of himself and fight for his own independence as the state governor. Permutations these all are. All sides make theirs and hope like hell theirs work out and in their favour. However time is a revealer of all eventualities. Let's wait. |
