Guys, I need input on this little matter.

I ordered something on 11/11 2021. It just got to me last week. But issue is that one of the ears is not working.

At first I wanted to just move on but when I posted the review, I mentioned the fact that one was not working.

The seller told me to do a video of the issue and send. As if he wants to refund me.

I have done that but s/he keeps replying with the same annoying sentence that I should do a video of the problem.

I want to ask, do I stand a chance if I create a dispute?

An unboxing vedio would have been the best, but since you don't have that, a new video is what you can do. Thankfully, from your chat with the seller, he/she has partially agreed to a possibility of defect going by the response that you should make a video and send to him/her. So in the event that you decide to dispute, upload the screenshots of your chat with the seller alongside the video and emphasize in your comment that the seller has earlier requested video evidence which you sent to him.

Winning is not absolute without an unboxing video, but I wish you great luck.

But who get time to dey do unboxing video with every item sef?

This is the second day, still expecting. I need the refund to re-order another item.

Barter had a system upgrade month end. They sent messages that there might be some delays with transactions between Thursday 31st March to Monday 4th April.

The only transactions I've conducted within this period was to fund my virtual naira card and use it to fund the virtual dollar. I did not experience any delays beyond the ordinary. So maybe the upgrade issues does not affect them "collecting money but giving out money"

In my own case at that time, it was a bad sensor along the exhaust. I also noticed that the fuel consumption increased significantly as the on board MPG display went down from the usual 15mpg to about 9mpg

It was scanned. Two sensors, one in front and one at the back of the exhaust were changed and things went back to normal.

On a second RX vehicle, the problem was not with the sensors, but a particular mechanism along the left side of the engine just visible when you remove the plastic engine cover. It looks like a lever that has a thin rubber pipe at one end. The pipe had inadvertently pulled out from the nozzle, exposing the nozzle tip and making the lever to pull back. The mechanic simply plugged in the pipe back into the nozzle and I could see the lever moved back to its required position which made the soot from the pipe to stop.

I don't know much about this second issue, but the mechanic revealed to me that is a trade secret and a minor issue that they can charge quite a bit for.

Please know that your "warning" did not force them to ship via speedaf. That choice lies with AliExpress. And you must have bought items from sellers located in mainland China hence the ease to use speedaf as the shipping choice.

Try buying from sellers in Hong Kong and see what happens. The warning may not do as you wish.

What gives you the assurance that when dollar hits 700 barter would be willing to check out at 584? best you confirm if that would work before you invest all your naira.

I was doing what I did with assumption that whatever higher rate it is as at the time I want to sell back to them, they will buy at 10 naira less than the prevailing market price. But what stops them from buying it from me at 574 naira even though it hits 700 naira because I bought it at 584 from them in the first instance? I need to chat them up and know what's up.

But the physical dollar route is what I have been doing hitherto and I only saw this barter way as quite flexible. Besides, I understand that as far as the bank dom account goes, I can only get back my dollars thru withdrawals over the counter because "the way I funded the account was thru over the counter hard currency". In fact they told me that I can't even use it to purchase things online. That's why I thought barter is preferable.

I am still very inexperienced when it comes to coins and like I said here before, I have some challenges getting proper guidance even from those that are well experienced both online and offline. Today for instance, I physically spoke with a colleague to give me tips, but the response is not something encouraging. We don't bother much on aesthetics, you need to see the issue I once had with an artisan for not wrapping a cable back with the cable spiral wrap (attached below) that came with it. He said and I quote, "Will the lack of spiral wrap make the cable short circuit or not work?" Lol. He was willing to let it dangle anyhow as long as it works.

I actually believe that aesthetics is a thing of a gradual process. But it also requires an innovative mind that is willing to improve. I remember my first near-novice solar installation. I only wanted to get tit to work and then I was happy for a few weeks that I have a working system giving me ample freedom from gasoline generators.

A few weeks later and I begun getting impatient that I wanted more. And seeing some fine and aesthetic installs online, I begun to work towards ensuring mine also becomes "fine and attractive".

Most inventions start out as crude and rough assemblage that simply serve as prove of concept and prove that the ideas will work. Subsequent iterations and versions come out with improvements in performance and appearance.

With all the banks gone rogue with 20 usd monthly limit, I have suspended purchases on AE for now. Instead what I did was open a barter account and every single extra Naira I have lying around is going into that account changed to dollar. The rate as at today is 584 naira to the dollar. You might say that is much higher than the bank's, but of what use is a bank exchange rate when you have access t to only 20 usd monthly, heh? 20usd can't even get you a decent earphone on AE.

So 584 naira being just about 8 naira above the black market rate, I have decided to have as much as possible changed to USD on the barter app and have it stocked up. The way the politicians are shoring up USD towards the elections, it may see 700 usd to the dollar. Few days ago, there is this privileged info that Governor Wike gifted 50 thousand USD to some politicians that visited him from one of the states in the SW, yes you read it right. 50k USD. At least I know I have not lost keeping things dominated in USD instead of in NGN.

10th of March handing over to NIPOST is like 2 weeks ago. Some Speedaf item NIPOST deliveries have taken up to 5 weeks after handing over to NIPOST. I'd suggest you wait a little more. But if you can't, you can use the opportunity to visit their office. However I'm not optimistic because they will most likely tell you that "your item has not arrived, you will be contacted when it does".

Few days later seller ships with DHL (which kind wahala be this ), Tried to check the shop and it was no longer available, I almost shouted; I then sent Seller a message demanding why DHL and not ASS as I chose, and that he issued a fake tracking number, all I got was an auto response, seller didn't even read not reply message.

Fast forward to yesterday and I had an update on the package, so I copied the tracking number and checked on DHL tracking site, lo and behold the tracking was legit

Waiting to see if they really deliver and I hope I get what I paid for, fingers crossed

But wait a few days to know that the tracking number is indeed aimed for your location, as in your town and not some other dude in Nigeria. It is also good that he used DHL because you are assured faster delivery than what you would have gotten with the AESS probably using speedaf. The only downside I see here is the potential customs fees, which may have been absent of it was Speedaf.

Bro, if you can sacrifice that much for battery, then I believe you can give a little more for greater tweaks and monitoring convenience.

Get wireless/BT BMS and monitors to have a live feed from your battery performance. AliExpress is a good place to start. And if you can get that much range with two passengers with this small pack, I can only imagine the greater rest of mind with another pack. You can have that installed or kept at home to be charged while you are away and do a hot swap each time you get home for any of the packs.

Chai! A few times before, I had seriously thought of a line of okada or kèké business model with this battery powered runarounds ó. A line of such vehicles that you can rent out for users who come to give returns at agreed percentage. You know the patronage will be massive knowing fully well that they don't have to worry about petrol.

But funding and especially Nigerian government policies, they are programmed to kill businesses especially ones that threaten their relevance.

I don't think that option comes with the freedom associated with solar generation which has a much less, nearly negligible footprint on the environment.

If no be for God, the government would have legislated to have all solar enthusiasts prosecuted except they seek operating licences which has to be regularly renewed. Then you will see them create a task force that will be invading neighbourhoods to check roofs that have panels on them. They will count the numbers of panels and use that to calculate the rough estimate you will pay. Failure to pay, you risk getting your panels carted away, while the task force operatives will auction them to themselves at ridiculous prices or to other buyers while they keep the money/auction proceeds for themselves. Some may decide to start making illegal money from there as they offer you to pay an off the record stipend for them to "look away" so that you get to escape paying for an operating licence or its renewal. Boom, another illegal money making rachet is created. You will also start seeing a few neighbours who will start ratting out to the government those in their streets that are installing panels. I can just think of a dozen ugly, discouraging scenarios that can crop up from such legislation.l, as far as Nigeria is concerned.

And creating a mini dam is not as easy as it sounds. The finances, the environmental impact assessment of such structure and the resultant wàhálà from the government is not what one individual can bear, well except you are Dangote who is a government backed "businessman".
