jboixxx:And more bad news. (Sigh). Make I just accept my fate jẹ́jẹ́. |
obyrich:Late Chief Osita Osadebe. And how could she conveniently leave out of her list the Lady of Songs - Christy Essien Igbokwe, the reggae star Evi Edna Ogholi, the Golden Mercury of Africa - King Sunny Ade, Chief Ebenezer Obey and Orlando Owoh? |
Lixusheng:EMS? More bad news. NIPOST EMS is not any better than the regular NIPOST o. In fact, ẹ be like say dem no dey get pity for people. At least regular NIPOST still dey get pity for we. Aghrrr! |
isangjohnson:I'm not sure this is inverter freezer. This model number does not appear to be of inverter type. Also the label with "Nigeria's first inverter freezer" written boldly on it will be on the lid. If a 219L inverter freezer is rated 115w consumption, a 146L inverter freezer will probably have nameplate consumption much less than the 105w you have there. |
Lixusheng:Imagine even in the tracking, there was initial problem with shipping out the item, and that was documented. But it seems to have scaled that hurdle sha. I seriously hope this problem with shipping will not befall it the rest of the way. But then on a second though, note that the tracking number reads EX.....SG. This is the first time I have seen EX. I am used to RB...SG, which seems to mean "Regular". Could the "EX" mean "Expedited" which means it is expected to be quite fast? But even if it is, so far it goes thru NIPOST, an expedited item that takes three days to get to Nigeria will take another three months under NIPOST to get delivered to its destination within Nigeria. Fingers crossed.
|
aieromon:Only one, just one of the three items I'm sure ships out of Hong Kong because in times past, previous ones of such shipped under RB...SG tracking number. But the remaining two items, I'm not sure are out of Hong Kong. I think I should chat up the sellers up to know if they shipped the item from HK. Aghrrr! I'm in pains, I'm in serious pains now. |

The man must have read the front page article on NL yesterday about a beggar in Abuja with 500 thousand naira and 200 dollars found on her. Baba dey vex say the beggar masef get money pass am, so why hin go gi am money wey no reach the beggar own? |
So guys I just noticed something evil. It's new and if it is sustained, then it may imply going back to the bad days. AliExpress just made 3 of my orders combined package and guess what the tracking number is, freaking Singapore Post. This is a first and it's is shocking as much as it is saddening. And for the fact that three big items of mine are placed on SingPost, in my mind I've already conducted a funeral for them, and if they should survive and get to me, I think NIPOST is gonna bill me like 2k delivery fee, something that speedaf would have done free. Like what dá heck happened to speedaf combined delivery? Who uses SingPost for combined delivery of not one, but three items?

The only Nigerian produce that I will love to shun is Dangote PAN and oil, if possible. Of course, choices abound regarding the automobile, but the idea is challenging when it comes to the cement because those five consortiums that manufacture cement in Nigeria have Dangote as a deciding factor of their prices as they prefer to hide behind Dangote's greed to also showcase their own greed, so the concept of competition driving down prices is already defeated. As per the oil, well combined global auto sales have been superceded by the BEV (battery electric vehicle) sector than the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine). This is even expected to be greater this year with the plan of the EU to migrate from ICE to full BEVs by 2029. And since you can trust Nigerians' resilience to quickly latch onto global trends much faster than their other African counterparts, I am optimistic that a number of us, will be getting BEVs this year to reduce our reliance on PMS and escaping Dangote's Jaws. You may say that NEPA will be needed to charge it. But some of us have been non reliant on NEPA for more than 6 years now and the experience has been quite good. The sun is freely given by the divine, unless Nigerian government starts to tax users of solar energy (and of course you can't take this past the wicked Nigerian government). To charge your EV, you only need to consider upgrading an existing solar system to a capacity that will support EV charging. As per his Spaghetti, macaroni, etc, thank goodness Nigerians have a lot of choices in this sector and that is why Dangote has not been able to really succeed in that sector, the government protection he enjoys have been unable to earn him so much monopoly in the food sector. He almost got away with Dangote sugar but for that other strong guy in the sector (can't remember his name now). He also hasn't been able to make a monopoly with salt. |
So, that was in past tense. What became of it amongst Buhari's terrible security indices? |
Nonsense. So na slap and beating una go dey take declare una love to each other be that. One slap mean say I love you. Two slaps, I cherish you. Five slaps go mean say una wan do the do. Yẹ̀yẹ́ couple. By the way, the guy in the glo advert appears the appropriate meme for this nonsensically awkward situation.

This is a shame. Local Government used to be autonomous. They used to have enough funds to purchase for themselves facility vehicles and official vehicles. They used to own farm tractors, low beds, graders and a number of heavy duty vehicles that is needed in administering governance to the people at their grassroot level. Now they have to be waiting for crumbs like this pick up trucks from governors simply because they (governors) have refused to obey the FG's call for LG autonomy. No thanks to OBJ that messed things up for the LG. Yet the governors also want some level of autonomy from the FG. One of the good things among many bad things that Buhari did was trying to credit LG accounts directly, not paying their FAAC money with the state government into the same account. It of course, somehow the state governor still has some influence over the LG allocation the moment it is paid. The local government chairmen pander to the state governors and they simply hand over the allocation to the governor who then cuts a crumb out of it for the chairmen. |
Perhaps Iranian women too should start honour killing on their husbands. Perhaps the tit for tat will make the government wake up to protect helpless women. |
tetralogyfallot:How much for these? |
Donsheddy:At the expiration of purchase protection, file a trade dispute. Make sure a screenshot of the message from NIPOST is included/uploaded as part of your evidence. |
Pandorah:I tell you. That "Android phone" written gbàràgàdà on it is like the parcel screaming "steal me, steal me" to IMPC and NIPOST. And for him to have received the parcel intact with all that screaming is a miracle of 2022. Maybe some hitherto interceptors at IMPC and NIPOST are fighting hard to be true to their new year resolution. I pray God help them to keep it. rocken001:@bolded is the benefit. ceaser: |
Realzikkist:Kingsley Moghalu is about the only candidate from SE that I can give my vote to. He had my vote in 2019. How I wish he has a mega party give him their platform. The alternative for me here is Osinbajo. I'm not convinced of Zulum. The presidency or at worst vice president slot should rightly be given to the South East. A Zulum vice president candidacy is programmed to counter that, both in 2023 and beyond. I'm more comfortable with an Osinbajo/Moghalu than with Osinbajo/Zulum. Foreseer:I tell you. |
Valto:@bbally. Here is a superior review probably from an experienced user. Seems the souer may come across as relevant afterall. But the Yohako in that picture is hybrid unlike the Souer which is not. So you have considerations to make. |
Lies. Na so dem go discuss am so tey 2023 go come and beyond You picked Nnamdi Kanu with alacrity, attacked igboho's crib with alacrity and even pursued his extradition within days of his arrest in Cotonou, yet Abba Kyari's case, which is an open and close case without any ambiguity, is still undergoing "technical delay tactics". Shameless nepotistic nonentities. |
Glad to hear that. I think it's hight time the contraption got balkanized. Some sections don't wish to get along fine with others and will rather keep others subjugated while they vainly tag themselves "born to rule". Even that may have been overlooked. But the mere fact that they stood against the practice of true federalism and standing against anything that will propel other parts of the country forward and away from this present state of failure is another straw that broke the camel's back and such cannot be overlooked. See, hear hear. “The challenges facing all those people who are struggling to be President, I hope they understand that the problems that they are going to face are multiples of the problems that were faced in 2015 and all of us have to be ready for difficult decisions and if they are taken, we are all going to pay for it."He is stylishly telling us that Buhari has finally destroyed the country. If GEJ had the country in the casket, Buhari came to dig the hole, hit the nails on the coffin and did the interment all within 8 years of misrule. |
bbally:There is a gadget that you can use to test it. It displays the waveform of the inverter on a graphical interphase. But it's expensive Another way to guess the type is to note the output characteristics when plugged to your gadgets. Use an AC standing fan to test it. If when the fan powers on, you hear a humming sound alongside being produced by the fan, then it's likely to be a MSW. The fan should blow quietly at low speeds with a pure wave. The humming sound is produced because the square wave is not clean wave like NEPA is. Your washing machine will likely also make that hum but you're not likely to easily differentiate it or hear it above the natural noise produced by the washing machine motor itself. Another way is that some sound systems also produce same humming sound thru their speakers when powered by the MSW. bbally:I think the second one should be your target. Few or no guys here have come out to say they use Souer hybrid. But I think Yohako has some users here. |
jboixxx:True, that is one of two possibilities. The other possibility is that nothing of such but they used that to scam guys, just like the other user who was billed 500 naira "for using speedaf" as if he is the one that tells AE what to use. I sincerely hope it's the latter cos it's so absurd to charge 200 naira for an item that cost just 150 naira. |
Justiceleague1:There was a lot wrong with DAM, and there was a lot of wrong for GEJ to throway face when Nigerians were calling his attention to it. Justifying sleaze among my people when they hold power because some northern id10ts do it and the northern leaders look away is not a way to build a cosmopolitan society which engenders justice and equity and is fair to all and sundry. Once GEJ is seen to axe his own peeps that has shown waywardness, I'm sure no one will cry foul when he decides to axe any northerner that as much as try to mismanage a kobo, including divesting those owning oil Wells of their ownership. All he needed to do was lobby for the legislation and Nigerians will put their weights behind him. Doing the opposite is nepotism which is a form of corruption. It is sadly what Buhari is good and adept at, making him much worse than GEJ that he replaced. OBJ was about the only democratic leader in recent times that has refrained from that bug of nepotism and even though he has his own terrible rulership weaknesses, he excelled on that aspect of trying to punish his own when they err. Afolabi of the national identity card fraud is an example. The way OBJ dealt with the then police chief also made every junior officer to sit tight. Yar'Adua too displayed some traits of equity, but time was not on his side so we may not fully know how he would have held on to that trait. |
jboixxx:So I had an item today at NIPOST. I got contacted via SMS. Unregistered small item of about 0.1g. Na free I collect am o. No charges, no receipt. After saying thank you to the man, I was staring at his mouth to see if him go say make I wait say I get money to pay. But hìn no talk anything. I still reach the door look back again maybe hin go remember and call me back, but guy don dey busy with another client.

Poopypants:@bolded. 6 weeks to 2 months. Speedaf sticks to their standard and fast 3 weeks delivery. It is at the point of NIPOST taking over at Lagos distribution centre (DC-LOS) that it takes them almost 5 weeks extra to have it delivered to you. And guess what, they still charge you penalty for you waiting that long to have your item delivered. ![]() Poopypants: ![]() |
They have started again, the Northerners I mean. Okay, let me tell you something y'all might not know. The Northerners patronised the US to support Buhari's candidacy in 2015. The war on BH had been taking tolls on the Nigerian military and its resources. The US was initially invited to help with the fight but later they withdrew when they found out that secret missions that will help the military campaign were being compromised by moles in the Nigerian military and in the political class. So eventually the Jonathan government too decided to deny the US further participation in the war. The US who would have loved to continue because of what it stands to gain from Nigeria (the US does not offer to help if it won't get something greater in return). This angered the US government so they won't mind getting GEJ out. Unfortunately too, GEJ has been messing up with his dalliance with corruption in his circles (Diezani is an example) and refusing to yield to the cry of Nigerians to do something about it. So Nigerians were ready to kick him out. As Yorùbás will put it, GEJ became a case of somebody initially targeted for incineration but himself is helping the case more by using an inflammable oil (like petrol for instance) to bath. In the build up to 2015 elections, major stakeholders in Nigeria including those from the South East and South West held a meeting in Kaduna. The meeting also saw the attendance of some northern governors and it was a forum to discuss the 2015 elections with representatives of the US government . The then governor of Borno was literarily crying and begging the US to support Buhari on the condition that they will give them (the US) free hand in the theatre of the war against BH and terrorism in Northern Nigeria, contrary to what GEJ did. Now that may not be enough incentive for the US, so the northern Nigeria representatives in the meeting threw in another juicy offer which the US may not be able to resist - the promise to cede part of the abundant gold deposits and other mineral resources in the mix to the US when the occupation of their troops in the prosecution of the war on BH takes place. Of course this was in line with the MO of the US in most scenarios (Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan etc) where the troops occupy the country and take over pillaging the rich resources of the place. The US had no choice but to give Buhari the full weight of their support to win 2015 elections. I guess they (the northern oligarchy) think they can use the same tactics again. But I doubt this will work this time because apparently Buhari failed to fulfill his own part of the promise the first time. I was privileged to have this information. The authenticity was further buttressed when an investigative journalist also said the same thing. You can listen to Godwin the Guru on Lagos Talks FM every weekdays at 9:30am. He's the journalist I'm talking about. When outside Lagos or overseas, I use internet radio app to tune in. It is usually a very revealing session with a lot of stupid and dirty secrets of Nigerian wicked rulership exposed. |
bbally:I got me the 319L inverter. bbally:Stuff is good. Been on it for about 14 months now. Still going strong. bbally:Quite well. As good as the regular freezers. Boasts 100hrs of retention post-light out. However it also freezes faster than the regular non-inverter freezers. bbally:Performs Well. The company has a 10 year warranty on the condenser. That shows how sure they are about their condenser. bbally:As it is with other freezers, that depends on a number of factors viz: > How frequently it is opened. > The quantity of items in it. The more the items, the longer it takes to freeze. > The initial temperature of the items loaded in it (warmer items will take longer time to freeze compared to if it works from an initial power outage) Mine is used in a shop to sell frozen items, which means a little frequent opening and closing. As such it takes longer to freeze. But when it works overnight, it usually attains adequate temperature by morning. And of course since the items are always frozen anyways, I don't need to note the minimum hours it takes to attain frost. Also one thing to note is that the best case scenario for its use will be inside the home where you may not even have to open the freezer more than trice daily. In that case, you're assured of great freeze at the specified power (watt) consumption. This is because in my own case where it is opened more frequently, the working consumption during daytime usually hovers far above the nameplate specified of 150w; hovers around 220w. But overnight when it isn't disturbed, it drops to around 170w, near the specified nameplate spec. I'm sure if left unopened for more than 24hrs, it will drop to sub 100w. bbally:Absolutely, as long as it is pure Sine Wave. 1000w is more than adequate. Inverter freezers do not have the initial surge current of non-inverter counterparts. So the freezer picks up slowly at around 50w and gradually ramps up the consumption to a high level. In fact you will also hear the sound of the engine as it slowly ramps up. Added Note: I doubt that your inverter in that picture is PSW. A lot of MSWs that I know assume that form factor. However you should test it to be sure of the type you're dealing with. |
jboixxx: That 3 trillion naira budget padding amount by the legislooters must be made by all means. The executhieves too must get the money they need to maintain their lifestyles and since China doesn't seem to be coming thru again, the monster is now turning on us. |
jboixxx:Woah! Even after we must have gone thru the harrowing experience of delayed delivery that NIPOST subjects us to with unregistered parcel. In sane climes, any increase in price of services is informed by an improvement in the services rendered. You're not allowed to increase price if improved services that justifies the price increase isn't guaranteed. But you can bet that like NEPA does and gets away with it, NIPOST is just about charging us for worsening service delivery. This is apart from the VAT that has been added to AE quoted items for Nigerians. |
