EgunMogaji2:The kidnappers are ALL Fulanis. He said they spoke Pidgin, Fulfulde or Hausa amongst themselves but when they needed to communicate with him, the ones among 'em who speak Yoruba switch to Yoruba. A lot of Fulanis speak and understand other languages fluently. Fulanis prefer not to make their language understandable for everyone else but they love to learn the language of others. Truly in the first instance, Fulfulde isn't a language any sane individual will be excited to learn. So what happened in the scenario of this farmer, I guess, is that the ones amongst them who rear cattle and understand Yoruba conspired/brought in some more vicious counterpart who are also Fulani to commit that crime. It's likely some of the kidnappers are those that live around there, rear cattle there or ride okada there. What this also suggests is that there is a sleeper cell of the Fulani somewhere around where they keep those arms and ammunitions and which is likely situated in that forest. The fact that they moved around for days does not mean they don't have a permanent base around. They usually move their victims in circles to confuse them and give the impressions that they don't have a permanent base around there. But there is always communication between them thru phones. These communications can be intercepted and those people placed on watchlist as Persons of Interest (PoI). And indeed this has been done before now. Some Northern governors have been linked with this unscrupulous activities and it was made public but the government slid it under the carpet because it compromises their expansionist agenda. Nigeria National Intelligence Agency (NIA) has since 2014 under PDP regime purchased/acquired the software/setup to monitor the digital communications of PoIs but instead of using such to ensure greater security for the tax paying citizens, all they do is use it to monitor politicians in the opposition and get enough dirt on them that can be used as smear campaign when they vie for office. The PDP failed to deploy that technology appropriately and the APC simply comes in to consolidate the wickedness of their predecessor. 1 Like |

Buhari is indeed a Jihadist. Or at least a jihadist sympathiser. He knows who Pandemic is before he chose him to serve in his cabinet. It's all about getting as much capable hands on deck to push forward or achieve the Islamic agenda or Fulanization of Nigeria. Good thing is that the international community have now begun to align with the people of Nigeria when they've found out themselves who governs 'em. Initially, based on international agreement and arrangement, it may not be acceptable for the government of one country to tell on the government of another. Pictures of the set up as seen on listings from vendors always show CC, solar panels and batteries as components. What you can't tell from the pictures is runtime. BrandSpurNG: The States are Ogun, Oyo, Imo, Cross River, Kano, Kaduna, Kwara. All the other States in the country would be added later as the scheme progresses.The southern states who are beneficiaries of this initiative should as a matter of importance guard it jealously and make sure it is a huge success. This is because the North as it is isn't likely happy that Southern states predominate the pilot list and also have greater chances of success by virtues of their weather and soil. The southern states were all selected based on merit rather than on quota, and that is why you can see only two agriculturally viable northern states in the list. The AfDB do not use quota system to distribute resources, but merit. If the funds were to be handled or dispensed by the Buhari led Fulani government, just one state in the south (and you can be sure it will be only in the south west) will make the list. There will be nil, I mean nada for any state in the South east not minding that they deserve such because of their soil and climate. It's a good initiative. But sadly Nigeria may happen to it sooner or later. Nigeria is policied to destroy dreams and kill companies especially when it becomes apparent that the benefit will be more to the southern part of the country. Our politicians are experts in infanticide. Ask Gokada and other budding companies that have been killed. DarkCaesar:People went for farming enmasse at the start but when Fulani herdsmen epidemic took over and farmers crops were getting destroyed or the farmers themselves getting killed, people retired back to their homes for their safety. Remember that medical doctor from Igangan who came from Germany to his hometown to establish farms that created about 250 employments? He was murdered in cold blood by fulanis (Iskilu wakill and the seriki Fulani) because he complained about their grazing their cattle on his farm. Now he is dead and his investment destroyed. People that were gainfully employed then have been thrown back into unemployment. Ghana and Benin Republic thru their genderems had foresight when they insisted that no Fulani herdsmen should be allowed on their lands or near their territories. As to him knowing how to take nice pictures of TV to look attractive and you get sent something that looks old, i suspect (just an assumption) that he probably takes pictures of the good ones from some nearby shop, then sends the scam down to the buyer. The easiest ones for 'em to fix and sell as good are LG products because of high demand and availability of cheap and imitation spare parts. The Modus Operandi with your guy and with me looks like variations of a specific script. |

Valto:I indeed fell flat for the scams on LGTV in one of the TV threads on the TV section, dealing with one Acunon guy like that. Of course what attracted me to the TV was the apparent power efficiency not minding the fact that it was fairly used. Plus the touted claim by the guy that fairly used foreign (Europe) TVs generally including the ones he sells are much more energy efficient and better than the new models sent down to Nigeria by the original LG manufacturers themselves. In fact he claims that European and US version of all TV manufacturers are far better than the versions sent to Africa and Nigeria from the same manufacturer because of the laxity of our standard organisations; a claim which made sense of course. And so I saw this 42 inch model he advertised as 2019 edition and the specs he claimed were so inviting. I googled it and boy, I read more attractive specs. It's a smart TV with much more specs than a 60 inch Hisense smart I've had for 2 years which I thought was a great hit. Sent him 85k and I must confess I was already imagining the smart life I was gonna have with this stuff. I was gonna be able to Netflix, browse the net and watch music videos at night with Bluetooth earphones on without disturbing wifey's sleep, WiFi direct, sorround sound etc. Third day, it arrived and I was shocked! See scratches here and there. And I was like WTF! I read some reviews from sellers that the TVs he sent to 'em were as good as new, so what on earth was this? On further examination, I saw clear signs (screw holes and labels and plastic edges) that indicated this thing was worked on. The model number on the sticker was even different from the model number on the damn screen! Okay, I convinced myself that as long as the internals provided me with what I wanted, I can live with the flaws of the outside. I come start to Netflix o, na in I get another shocker. Netflix was just blurry video. Okay lemme mirror my phone, same blurry response on the TV screen. Ah! Wàhálà dey. I come start to dey Google diagnostics on day one of purchasing a TV. Suggestions showed that either the screen resolution of the TV was incompatible with Netflix or my phone's 1080p movie resolution. Sho! For a Full HD TV! This pointed to the fact that the screen may have been replaced with a 720p type. Another is that the board may have been replaced with one that does not support that full 1080p resolution. I contacted the guy and he was telling me some technical stuffs that weren't so convincing, me being a tech geek myself but I still tried to believe him with the hope that things will be good. I updated the TV to the latest firmware as he suggested but the nonsense no stop. After updates, the buttons of the included remote decided not to work accordingly. To cut a long story short, the TV was indeed useless to me, so he asked me to send it back and being a meticulous person, I packed it veeeery well and included more protective layers than he sent it down with. Dude called me after and claimed that the TV I sent back now had a line on one side of the screen. How does a TV develop such within 72hrs for goodness sake? Well, all I just aimed at was getting back the money even if not in full. So I settled for 55k payback from this dude (that's 30k less within 5 days). I was pissed with myself for expecting so much from such arrangement, so the following day out of annoyance I went to pick up a "made for Nigeria and Africa" android TV from a walk in shop for 132k and I've had rest of mind using it ever since. What I learnt from that experience was that most fairly used and maybe new LG and few Sony products are easily repairable and imitated in the Nigerian market because of the high demand for such. In fact, fake and Chinese made replacement boards and screens for such abound in Alaba so it's quite easy for guys to couple boards and TV screens from different models into a casing from a totally different model and just slap a sticker from another desired model on it, then sell to unsuspecting victims like me. It's sad. This story is fairly long, but it was a traumatic experience for me and I licked my wound in silence that time. This event by my friend here just unlocked the memory and I can really identify with his pain and disappointment too. 6 Likes 1 Share |

NiyiOmoIyunade:I actually think it's a possibility to charge using panels. Just enough panels will be required and high power DC-DC converter. There is one (DC-DC converter) that I worked with. It has a max boost of 96v and 10 amps - that's 960 watts. It's connected to a 320w 36v single solar panel and a 48v DIY 18650 pack. There are days I got up to 240w output from the panel. The DC-DC converter is advertised to be used for charging ebikes, so I guess a powerful enough boost converter and solar panels should be able to handle daylight charging of an electric vehicle of 250v nominal. And except the input power is something close to what you get from real charging stations, then one must be prepped to wait two to three hours to get the batteries full before taking the vehicle out. The question now is that of charging for that long during the day something that is supposed to be used majorly during the day.

Unfortunately in the UK, the DSS guys attached to Buhari's entourage can't access unmarked Toyota Prado SUVs to ferry armed protesters to the scene and attack the anti-buhari protesters. These ones should be thankful that it's in the UK where both Pro and anti protesters can demonstrate side by side without the police taking any side. If they tried this in Nigeria, louts, area boys, Fulani boys and ill-informed Hausas will have brought daggers and knives to the venue to teach some lessons. 2 Likes |
