shithapuns:I noticed similar trend in panels installed within six months. Initially does 1.4kw in installed 1.28kw but now barely does 900 watts. Panels is 20 degrees facing south, as dictated by the roof. Meanwhile similar installation that I witnessed was shooting out 1.3kw immediately it came online two weeks back. Panel orientation is approx 50 degrees South-West, also dictated by roof. ojeysky:Oh, okay. |
dejidotun2000:True. I touched the positive terminal and I had no footwears on; the two bare feets on the tiled floor. I would have tried to re-create the scenario but wearing shoes this time around just so to be sure that the inverter is not faulty. But mba! I have successfully resisted the enemy's temptation. |
Good points no doubt. But I gather these seem to be more tailored to the west where they basically use wood to build their homes. Well except maybe the wiring, water and broken roof issues. Aside those three, how about other important things to watch out for in Nigerian case scenario, where bricks are the major use, also putting in mind every other peculiarities with Nigerian buildings? |
Jokers trying re-alignment. If GEJ loves to still retain the respect Nigerians had for him for his concession preventing electoral conflict contrary to what "baboon and blood" would have done, he better stays as a former president and not run another race. If truly they are encouraging him to run, then what those governors probably want is someone that they can push around as they like. GEJ was held to ransom by the Nigerian Governors' Forum during his time. But they have been rendered useless by General tyrant Buhari in this present dispensation. Even though they couldn't boss General Buhari around like they did GEJ, but they have gotten away with much impunity in this dispensation, things like their corruption and wanton looting of their respective state resources. And this is because the "body language" man at Aso Rock has decided to indulge them (case study is Yèyé Bello and Fáyemí of Kogi and Ekiti states respectively). So they simply need someone who will keep indulging them in it plus an extra - someone they can boss around. |
It's becoming glaring that PMB is originally from Niger Republic. He is just claiming kAtsina. |
So the Instagram live videos of the Lekki army shootings that later sparked off the violence is now fake àbí? Live broadcast is now fake news? But the lies about the army posting a watermarked release of their involvement in the shooting as "fake news" is now the true news? Gbajamiamila's security detail shot another unarmed Nigerian going about his business few hours ago. This was in the glare of all present and within few minutes another police van came and bundled the body away. If this had been in the nighttime, I'm sure Kai Mohammed would have tagged it fake news or that the people around were trying to attack the senators convoy and the police had to shoot to protect him. Even now that they've carted the body (the only evidence) away, we expect the government to start to lie that no shooting occured. We expect their defenders here and other social media to attack the carrier's of the news, challenging them to provide proof of any shooting by providing the pictures of the dead body or that any family should come forward to claim that they have a son who is a vendor in Abuja who is missing. |
Coldie:Jonathan was the leniest in recent times. Buhari is simply a "dicktator" |
Jimoh Ibrahim is a master in destroying businesses. I don't know why government still allows him to participate in government auctions for acquisition of government business. His oil business was a flop. Now this. |
Sickos. Why then are they wearing uniform in the style meant for the West and civilization of the unbeliever? They should have worn turban and jalabiya like their religion commands. |
Namzy:No problem. Just open trade dispute and choose "item was shipped to wrong address" taking the screenshot of the tracking information as evidence. However if you still need the item, you can contact NIPOST to lodge a complain and maybe hopefully they'll help get your item back to the right destination. I suggest you do it quickly if you will cos items not claimed are usually packed for delivery back to Lagos and then returned to the seller in China. |
General M'hmd Buhari, the "Grand Chief law breaker" Of Nigeria (GCON) |
Fountainofyouth:Now the blame game begins. Óyá, who started it? Which one came first? The face painting and body paddings by females to attract males or the males drooling over painted faces and body paddings? The male folk were all appreciative of natural beauty and endowments. The less endowed female folks in other to compete begun to make-up to fool the menfolks. They forgot that even though they may be less endowed, but good attitude and impeccable character are gold that can earn them more value above facial endowment. The answer is simple, don't get things twisted. |
tinnyailes:In fact tracking one of my items few days ago shows "item returned to seller" after few days in transit. Contracting the seller, he admitted it was returned but says he knows not why, but will try to re-send. Checking another of my order few minutes ago, tracking shows "shipment cancelled". I just got a break from a busy schedule now and too tired to investigate the reasons for now. I'll do that later. |
mctfopt:Thanks so much for this. @ bolded, I wouldn't be sure but that suspicion was why I made that statement of electric shock when I touched the battery terminal. I'm used to working with standalone systems (that power appliances directly rather than going thru the wiring of the house, so I touch the DC terminals of those without experiencing shock. What would cause such back feed? I don't have access to a clamp meter, just the usual multimeter. I'll try a continuity test using that. In the event of confirmed short which may not be easily traceable, na for the guy to follow Ògá Niyi's prescription of an amp limiter. But inverters have short circuit protection built into 'em. Isn't that supposed to offer some sort of protection to the device itself so that it does not go kaput due to shorts? This can also be ascertained by putting the loads off, removing both the output and input wires of the inverter and connecting it together, place a clamp meter on the wire and power on. Check for any presence of high current. If you cannot find any, then there is no short on the line.@ bolded. I don't really get that connection described. |
NiyiOmoIyunade:Hmmm. Okay, when I tried to fix the second inverter, I inadvertently touched the positive pole of the battery terminal while the inverter was working (had my feet on the bare floor) and I sensed an electric shock. Could that suggest a live-neutral short? How does one get an electronic amp limiter? In cases of confirmed short, is there a way that can be finally corrected that the continued use of the limiter will not be necessary? |
Please house, I hope this will be treated as urgent. Is there a possibility that house wiring can slowly but surely cause an inverter to fail? The house uses generator power without issues. The house is not connected to grid power and has never used same before. A new 24/1.8kw inverter installed failed on the 3rd day (refuses to come on). I came thru and loaned the guy my standby 800w inverter as stop gap while he sorts himself out. I instructed that it not be loaded beyond capacity cos it's lower than theirs that had fault. They claimed to have followed the instructions. It has worked fine for 4 days. The loads on it had been max 120 watts, no surge draws cos they stayed away from powering freezer or refrigerator. But I was called tonight that the inverter too would not power on. I still wanna believe that the issue with the second inverter is minor and I hold that believe until I'm able to get there to see things for myself. Is there a form of house wiring that could slowly kill inverters? Thanks. |
just increase processing time it’s a big store they’re prolly busy processing other orders from 11.11 sales if they don’t want to ship to Nigeria anymore you won’t be able to make order in the first place
The bolded is not always true. Currently, I have two orders that the seller falsified "shipping of item" and I found them both out. They then agreed to false info and said I should open dispute to get refunds. Apparently the guys do not ship here but the purchase still went thru. |
Unik3030:Why trying so hard to make saints of the Nigerian Police, heh? If the gateman had diligently and faithfully done his job, had not kept betraying his paymaster and being found culpable in many break-in and robberies of his master he was paid to protect, the master will not subscribe to suggestions to have him fired. So just get the whole story and quick pushing your own biased view in schadenfreude. It makes you and the Nigerian police you defend laughable. |
But AGF Malami already concluded that the accused SARS officials are innocent because there are no compelling evidence to indict 'em. If UK is waiting for Nigeria judicial enquiry on human rights abuses to furnish it with reasonable outcomes, UK is on a long thing. Nigerian government and officials will not make conclusions and recommendations that will paint it as irresponsible, so the positive report the UK government is waiting for from Nigerian officials is dead on arrival. Golan007: ![]() I see what you did there. Gabkosh:You failed to see the sarcasm in his comment though. ThreeBlackBird:That will be correct in the situations of economic sanctions. Advanced countries go economic sanction ways when they want to punish the citizens join because they know too well that such will affect every damn thing in such countries, even affecting the leaders to a little extent. The citizens also demanded investigations that may warrant sanctions, not the UK itself. In the case of Nigeria, the saction will most likely be directed against Nigeria political class, like the US did to El-rufai and Oshiomole dem. What d'you think will happen if Buhari or some of his minions are no longer able to travel to the UK for medical treatment? Goin the Germany or the UAE route will likely be their next option. Germany being part of the EU may also align with UK in placing restrictions and soon our politicians will run out of options. They hate being holed up in their country. They were so uncomfortable all thru the lockdown periods that dem Aisha Buhari and co jetted out the moment international flights resumed. Nigerian political class hate their own countrymen and are so much addicted to identifying with people and anything foreign. It is that same addiction that the sanctions will target. And you know how withdrawal symptoms can be when addicts do not have ways to satisfy their urges. |
When is Trump going to instruct the military to go and shoot, main and massacre 'em nau? They should remember to turn off the lights and street cams before they start shooting o. We don't want the world seeing evidences. So that Lie Moh'm can find something to compare with Buhari. |
"Fierce" gun battle kwa? With just an ordinary fabricated berreta pistol? I understand fierce goes with use of AK47 or other automatic rapid firing weapons. And since when has berreta become "fabricated"? It's like saying fabricated AK-47. If e no be panadol, it can't be panadol. If it isn't Berretta pistol, it can't be berreta pistol. That fabricated suggest that what they carried on 'em is locally made pistol. So kudos to the NP if truly those guys were the criminals. I think the NP should keep being professional in constituting problems and headaches for criminals but cease constituting 'emselves nuisance to innocent Nigerians going about on legit hustle. Good job once more. Edit: Seeing the picture of the weapon, the NP should remove "fabricated" from the phrase. This na real original berreta pistol abeg. |
Corona22:Really, I do not support it's reduction, what I support is complete removal/eradication of it. The dude above trying to justify pensions for public servants because civil servants gets paid pension is getting it all twisted. Politicians are public servants, that is quite different from civil servants, the latter having worked for 35 years deserve to be taken care of in their old age, but in Nigeria pensions and gratuities are conveniently owed as arrears running into months and years until these pensioners die from/in penury. The same government has conveniently made laws to institutionalise the anomaly and illegality of paying pensions to public servants who serve less than a decade, during a time they wield powers that enriched 'em beyond imagination and at the expense of the civil servants and the generality of the population. That is great mischief. As per it being a political move to clean/launder the image of the average Lagos politician, yes I concur. If a Nigerian politician decides to eat in your presence or decides to enter the same public transport as you do, it is definitely image laundering. Politicians mixing with the people they govern is not normal in Nigeria unlike in sane countries where even the presence of a political figure on a public bus does not cause any stir. But I tell you that if they like, they should even stop collecting their own salaries, that still would not change the impression that people already have about them. The hoarding of palliatives was an eye opener to even their strong supporters who painfully realized that the same politicians they'd kill for will not flinch if they die of hunger. A new awakening was created with that discovery. It may not be a strong deciding force, but it is a paradigm shift from before. The people do not trust the government before, the events of October 2020 have only deepened that distrust and no amount of image laundering by the government or any politician will alter the mindset of the people. |
richie240:Two or three eyewitness accounts in a court of law is enough to indict an accused let alone a video evidence showing circumstancial evidence of killing. What is only needed is for victims and bereaved to come forward in the court of law and the case is decided. That is why the government is doing its best to scare eyewitness from coming out in the open. Even DJ switch that is a potential witness is being hunted. You see, you can only defend the government so much. The citizens of the country know the truth but do fear of victimisation by the government, they have chosen to be quiet for now. The international community and agencies know this truth and the entirety of the human rights abuses that transpired at Lekki that night. They have records of it and will actually make reference to it in due time. The government is doing a very poor job at covering her butt and defenders like you are actually doing worse. What smart government's and individuals do in scenarios as this is to admit the truth of the misdeed but get a fall guy that will give people and watchful eyes the impression that justice has been effected even if it is half-hearted. What the government is doing is the direct opposite. Malami has declared that the accused SARS officers cannot be prosecuted for lack of compelling evidence, a blunder which even an ordinary individual not trained in the act of criminal investigation will not make. The accused (SARS officials') bank accounts are there for the government/CBN to go thru and verify the claims of the accusers. But instead what they have done is to scrutinize the account of key protesters and frozen such, the government thereby further playing the judge, the prosecutor and the executioner in her own case that is currently being arbitrated in the court of law. That is why Nigerian lawyers have seen it necessary to file a petition that the panel set up by Sanwo Olu be disbanded as it is seen as a farce. However it is not surprising. Nigerian government has shown itself, even if they aren't truly complicit, as an enabler of a lot of irregularities and evils in this country. UAE arrested and sentenced 5 Nigerians that have been linked with funding Boko Haram in Nigeria by going thru inflows and outflows from Nigeria in their various bank accounts. The CBN has apparently deliberately overlooked those bank accounts that show that red flag. Now the UAE has done their job for 'em. |
showietee:Does Zenith now have more than 100 USD limit? Last time I checked, they still pegged theirs at 100 USD. |
marijane59:Apparently your "new user" coupon went thru with payment (some new user coupons won't even go thru but gives error during payment) but it seems the seller does not accept AE new user coupons in his own store hence your order was automatically closed/cancelled and the refund is automatic. You will be refunded 1.29 USD that is your own money out of the total purchase price while the seller escapes the wàhálà of giving his item out for free (thru accepting AE new user coupon) All those AE coupons thingy like their 11/11 sales, I always say, are most times a rat race on a wild goose chase. |
genius43:I don't understand. Which wàhálà do we have? What I noticed though is that on some items, seller avoid using AESS and use other shipping for it. I placed an order three weeks ago and seller did not ship until 10 days after, suspiciously. Suspecting foul play and acting on an assumption of "faked shipping" notification, I later attacked the seller accusing him of "NOT" shipping my item but lying that he did. My suspicions were true as he confessed that he truly did not ship it. Then he asked me to open dispute, funds will be returned and then I can re-order using SingPost this time. I did that and item has been on transit for 5 days, tracking effective. Another item from another seller that I ordered 10 days ago on AESS was shipped but after 5 days transit, I noticed tracking indicated "item was returned to seller". I message him and he confessed that the item was returned but that he wasn't yet sure why that happened. The promised to try shipping again but that in the event re-shipping fails, I should open dispute and re-order. I guess it's the same AESS - SingPost issue, but I don't wanna pre-empt the seller by giving him that possibility. |
"According to him, the state government will partner with Ibile Oil and Gas; and other private organisations to create different charging points in the city; so that people will have where to charge the cars." It's ironical though. "Oil and gas" to create charging points. That sounds self defeating except the charging stations will be powered by fossil fuel used by big generators too. Then Ibile Oil and Gas can still be in fossil fuel business. It's a welcome development nonetheless. |
https://www.nairaland.com/6256269/sanwo-olu-unveils-first-locally Full electric Hyundai car assembled by Stallion motors in Nigeria. Lithium cells full force. |
hotdealz:It has adjustable voltage from 5v to 21v I think. So you need to put the voltage out at 12v else you risk burning your fan rotor. It's good but the battery case is expensive for my liking. Another good side is that it can be charged comfortably by 18v solar panel or laptop charger. And it should give you enough backup at moderate fan speed. |
SolnergyPower:✓ Are they brand new 18/65/0 cells? ✓ Soldered or spot welded? |
