@almondjoy Quite a handfull u posted here, u forgot that good dreams can turn sour in the middle of it? Your judgement is rather too hash. @ the poster The 1st point u made is quite disheartening, being unfaithful and then battering you. Were there tell-tale signs of these in the beginning which u probably overlooked because of love? If they were there, u probably married a womanizer. if not, may be there are things u used to do initially that u have neglected, in that case i'll suggest u go back to ur first love. The 2nd one is that you said he browses all day long. does that mean he lost his job? (u did not clarify). How come two of u did not work out a plan for him to upgrade his education for over ten years, knowing what educational qualifications have become in Nigeria. you said he is quite intelligent and lazy? i don't understand that combination |
You mean which is the best among the 3 series? ![]() COPY THAT |
hey dudes, We must appreciate that this is not about being tribalistic, let's not deny we all came from somewhere even before Nigeria came to be. Even God appreciates different tribes and tongues. Sorry though, if u're not proud of ur pples's dish and u're just trying to hide under 'de-tribalized Nigerian' |
![]() Hey, Randy, sorry is it Randa? I think u're suffering from first degree Naivety. how in the world can u be speaking so excitedly about another girl to your own fiancee. haba!!! Don't feign ignorance of anything brewing b/w you and this corper girl. Believe me, u need a hot slap from your fiancee to help get that ur dumb skull tightly screwed back! Just take a leave from ur office, rush back to Jos and show ur girl she's the best thing to have happened to u after salvation. |
I think the issue here is that the promoters of the show allowed a debased, irresponsible young man to win the show, and thereby making him a hero and a model to the young ones. this leaves much to be desired but we still have to understand that you cannot 'BAN' a satellite TV program. only a terestrial TV program can be banned. Whoever watched BBA2 definitely subscribed to it and that makes it a CHOICE and not by default. If they want to really make a change, i think what they should do is to lobby other African parliaments so they can challenge DSTV/MNET on why such a villain should be made a role model for African youths. |
I am an IT professional (Application Management/technical support) working in a bank presently and i'm planning to go into core networking/Communications because i believe in being dynamic and versatile. It's real fun for me because it has always been my passion right from school, though i studied Industrial Chemistry. I get challenged/inspired by Mitchel Elegbe of Interswitch, he worked with Telnet before floating Interswitch and i intend to float my own IT company in the near future too. Since professionals are people of integrity, can we all please update our profiles by uploading our pictures or what do u think? |
Your story reminds one of what happened in the family of King David. One of the sons lusted so much towards the step sister that he became sick! He couldn't do anything untill the girl was brought to attend to her, and u know what? After he slept with her, he so much hated her! The story didn't end there though. The girl's immediate brother was so infuriated when he heard her sister was defiled that he sought out and killed the lover boy! whatch your feelings boy, It's not worth it! |
she's my baby. Always my baby. anyday. anytime. anywhere. |
, Well, the guy may be a billionaire's son, but believe me, he needs a good Wardrobe consultant.urgently. Dakore a gold digger? NAY! the cute girl has paid her dues. she deserves a better deal of the good life. Have u seen her latest work with RMD? 'caught in d middle'. |
How come some folks that are seen as being famous are the one breaking all the Forum rules and regulations (topic-1026.0.html) with impunity. Sounds like Adedibu's popularity in PDP to me. Seun are you still here. |
Seun: Seun:Seun and language structure! Anyway sha,the issue is how do we make Nairaland not just the no 1 in Nigeria but to put it in the ranks of Google and yahoo. That's my personal vision for this great project. |
Seun Osewa? I'm still amazed at that young man's creativity! He's too loaded for his age! He is the perfecet example of what Nigerian youth is all about. |
Richard's winning this game is a big shame! With all the emotional and social wounds he inflicted on his legally married wife in front of a world-wide TV audience. Are the sponsors of this show trying to sell INFIDELITY as a virtue to our youths? May God save our youths! |
Truth is the 'friend' is where the babe's heart is, period. The reason she is stiil with u is probably the 'friend' has not said what she wants to hear, if the 'friend' proposes to her today, you are a goner. She tells you he is a friend because that's the person she really trusts and cherishes. Be wise brother, bow out while your heart is still intact. |
4 years cannot be said to be too long depending on the circumstances. Courtship means BOTH PARTIES HAVE AGREED TO MARRY, so in that case, u may not always control how long it'll take, in as much as u might want the wedding to be the next day. I've seen situations where couples agreed to marry but their parents stand in the way, either because of tribal sentiments or societal status. In that case, u have no control. Finances is another monster that's making some guys to hold out much longer. |
original post @justbazik How long does everyone think it appropriate for courtship? What are the advantages and this-advantages of long term courtship. Educate someone today. Peace out. Most posts here are making the assumption that dating and Courtship are one and the same. let me start by clarifying the differences. DATING: You're still going out as friends, sizing up and getting to know each other better. COURTSHIP: You have finally made up your mind, and verbally agreed to marry. My advice is if a guy dates you for up to 2 years and doesn't propose, ask him his plans if u think you can live with him in marriage, if he doesn't say anything reasonable, cut off and save yourself from impending doom. 2 years(especially if u see up to 2times a wk.) is enough to know if somebody is compatible with you. |
@viperman I really like ur passion for this car dealership, getting all the photos and all the other works. u're a good salesman n i like that. when i'm picking a car nxt i hope to get it from u. All da best, man. |
nay nay nay! u got it all wrong boy. love is STILL d sweetest tang! just get it right n u'll know what i'm talking about. failure is only an opportunity to start afresh. i charge u to start afresh! Never say 'Never' |
never give what you cannot leave! |
Like Seun rightly pointed out earlier on, all R/ships not heading to marriage is only bidding time. So how do u deal with this kind of situation. take my word: |
wow, this guy must be an A-list comedian. i'm just having a good, deep seated laughter here. who says u need to enrol in a school to talk to a lady? but 4real, there are guys that will just freeze in front of a lady. why is that? |
Go n sin no more, girl. I hope u've also done a personal apology to the babe . It's ok to have feelings for people, but it's good to restrain ur desires when u know they are not right. That's why we are different from animals. |
Hey dudes, i've discovered that 'time-set' (age) is not always equivalent to 'mind-set' (maturity). because u're 5yrs older than ur wife does not necessarily mean u're wiser. The bottom line i believe, is love and mutual respect. if u got those 2 folks, u got everything, even if u're decades apart(either way). |
hey dudes, save urself some troubles. check in to any chicken republic outlet and u'll be glad 4d rest of da day. Their chicken is superbly done and the hot spicey moi moi is hhmmmm, |
Try and get in touch with a lawyer ASAP, human right lawyers don't even charge for services like this. |
Bailo, truth is that first bank is among the 'very few banks' in nigeria today where u have the opportunity as a fresh intake, we call it Banking Assistant (BA), to work in the various departments of the bank in the process of making u a thorough bred banker. Most of the other banks are interested in ur marketing skills to bring them billions of deposits, and it can be really nightmarish if u possess no flair for marketing, unless u have relatives that can bail u out by making heavy deposits. On the issue of pay package, confirmed staff (after 1yr) for 1stbank earns 1.7m while 0ceanic earns 2.3m. what u take home monthly however is dependent on so many factors. So it's up to u to decide based on ur personal strenghts and potentials. welcome 2d bankning world! |
It's good to get these things straight. Even if you are a graduate of your local dialect, you can enter and still excel in the IT world. The key word is passion. Don't be ashamed to start with a cafe in your vicinity, even it means working for a low wage or even free, you are only developing yourself for the big opportunity, with the experience and then the certifications, you get to move on from there. As a fresh graduate, you don't need any experience, you only must write and pass the bank's aptitude test first, followed by the oral interview(s), and then you are in. The first few months in the banking, you are called an Executive Trainee(ET), meaning they are watching you to see where your skills and adaptation lies, this is when you need to buckle up with your certifications and start pushing up for the IT department. |
U can take Saint Chuks' breakdown to d court. it's d best advice u can get. i'm in d IT dept. of d leading bank and i can tell u it's highly fulfilling if u have the passion. the bottomline is u must decide what u want and stay focused. |

kosovo, u mean u're still in ur parents house and u watch series non-stop for almost a whole day? believe me, if i'm any of them , i would have banned u from the tv. At ur age u shd be planning 4ur future and not watch more than 2hrs of tv per day.(only advice, no offence intended) |
