While we're celebrating this great feat, the Nigerian press are already giving a conflicting report on this. Check out Guardian's report: 'Nigerian herb shows promise in diabetes management' , http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/news/article03/indexn2_html?pdate=040209&ptitle=Nigerian%20herb%20shows%20promise%20in%20diabetes%20management while This day has it thus: 'History, as Nigerian finds Cure for Diabetes', http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=134751 I believe the two reporters were sent to cover the events by their respective publishing houses,, listen to the presentations and then report back their observations. Now, what you see here is utter confusion because 'diabetes management' and 'cure' are definitely not one and the same. Can somebody give us the TRUTH on this report, please. |
Well, growing up, it was every man to his own plates, at his own prefered time. but i do remember visiting some of my friends house, and seeing every body dipping their hands in the same bowl of garri and soup. men, just like the Lord and his 12 appostles. And you found out they normally remove the meats/fish into a seperate plate, to be shared later(the youngest shares, the eldest picks first). lol It used to be a funny scene, u know. Now, i personally think its a lovely site for a family to sit together, round a dinner table and get the meals served. thats why the first piece of furniture i bought in my own house was a very sound dinner table/set. Am looking 4ward to that. |
Emperoh bros, 'A kwuro ofu ebe ekili mmanwu' Nna gi muru gi. That ur baby is lovely but the snag there for me is V6. I need a tight one like that but it must be 4-plugs. Let's deal if u have it. |
What do u mean by people saving up 300k a whole lifetime? Wake up bro, its some folks monthly take home pay actually! Folks still make good money in this country, we're not Zimbabwe ok? |
Is this car LIVE! in Lagos? give me the location/contact address let me look it over. Do this ASAP! |

Dan Foster was INSPIRED by some COOL millions ![]() So he decided to dump COOL fm for INSPIRATION fm ![]() well, considering he's now a family man with more responsibilities, its time to really chill, instead of just COOLING. |
Hurly! is my dude any day! |
Seun are u there ![]() All we are saying, give us a baby board for DIY. Thanks mate. |
Dclique:Just can't figure out what u mean here, bro. As for the coy, can't lay my hand on the receipt but i'll give u a description. As u enter Otigba from Awolowo road axis, go down st8 way past the police post/Stalla kitchen ![]() then turn right on the 1st street and u'll see the a shop that deals on lappy accessories only. Good luck. |
Good info. just that u did not give us an idea of who manages the free will DNS |
When will these leaders stop thinking from their bottoms ![]() Infact am very very angry with this report It is no good news at all! What will now happen to all my poor hapless Almajiris and mallams that eat sugar cane for their 3 square meals? When thier selfish Alhajis begins to mop up all the available sugar cane stock a la Brief case contractors to sell to the government? Any body mooting the idea of using food to produce fuel in this country must be a vampire. We don't even have enough to feed. Let them use the BILLIONS of naira they stash away to build a world class petro-refinery instead of glorying in the euphoria of investing paltry 15m to pauperize the already poor masses. ![]() Don't let me lose my temper here, |
() And that is why I praise First Bank for appointing Lamido as next CEO, he management style has always been risk based and focuses on the Basel II accord. ![]()

You are in the spirit, man. Considering Sanusi Lamido is a top Notch Credit Risk manager with impeccable record, FIRSTBANK will continue to be the bank of FIRST CHOICE for High Net Worth individuals who wants value for their money. The Big Elephant will keep delivering bounties to the valued investors and customers alike. |
Its interesting that the first post here is dated 2005, but the truth is that even in 2008, there is nobody that is doing broadband connectivity in this Country. All that Starcomms and their bunch are making noise with are no broadband at all. have u ever wondered why its always frustrating to watch even a 2mins video on You tube in Nigeria? not to talk of watching web TV or full lenght movie? our only hope of enjoying full broadband connectivity is when GLO tidies up their fibre optic submarine project that will be terminating in Europe by Q1 of nxt yr.(according to their plan). Till then, we'll be stuck in these marketing criminalities of recycling junk dial up connectivity/VSAT. |
Why not provide the model of ur lappy, it will help in giving u d best resolution. Lets say if its the newer HPs (from nx6310s to the Dv-Pavillions), u have an F11 option during booting that allows u to reload ur system OS to factory default. u can make use of that effortlessly. However if u're formatting a SATA HDD without that option, first go to setup with F2/F10/DEL buttons (depending on ur brand spec.) to disable SATA first. Then, slam in ur OS cd to load setup files. All d best. Let's know hw it rolls. |
I just replaced mine a couple of months back (same model as ur's). I got it at the Computer village, Ikeja for 6k. Its serving me faithfully. Up to 3hrs standby time, 2hrs active. Check it out if u're in Lagos. NB: Most dealers are not aware that the mouth is bigger than that of nx6110 model which is more ubquitous. Its better u go along with ur own strip to get the exact one. All d best! |
Foto D, sorry 4dat ugly xperience, man. U've done one better by sharing it here so that he won't continue to prey on more pple. |
Bros, Send me your location so i can look ur stuff over. Urgent! |
Bros, this baby no doubt looks clean 4m d outside bu my eagle eyes have spotted stained floorings suggesting the ride may have been flooded, what do u say abt that? If u are sure i am absolutely wrong on that, let me have the location address so i can look it over and may be, drop u a cool cheque. I need a lovely ride like that, man! ![]() |
One of my friends said it sometime ago that most of the world's corporate financial crimes are perpertuated by Havard trained professionals and that assertion seems to be coming home. Investigations have revealed that even though Ndi is claiming that the money was not actually meant for Obama's campaign organization, She had some pple introduced during the Dinner as Obama's Kitchen Cabinet members. Remember the organization roundly denied their knowledge of the event. Somebody seems to be taking 419 to a higher level, what a man can do, |
@Poster That was hw u guys started jumping up last dec. Jim got angry and slashed the stuff. U better wait for like three months to make sure it will stand b4 u come here to glee. |
Half of a yellow Sun- Chimamanda Adichie. What a compelling, masterful storytelling! I felt so nostalgic as i leafed through the last page, wishing it could just go on and on, |
Wow! I just finished reading that lovely book. What baffles me is how she was able to capture the sublime feelings of a young male (Ugwu) towards the opposite sex. Then, the impeccably detailed narratives are just the attributes of another master story teller. Ada anyi, thanks for making us proud. Abba na Abagana bu umu nne. |
@VINDY Don't let all these Toyota apologetics confuse u oo ![]() Baby boy is top of the range in that year bracket, over and above all the camry's and corolla's. To understand what am telling u, just take a trip to any of the car dealers where u can have both cars present, slip ur self behind the wheel of both cars, and feel the diff for yourself. What I call baby boy is COMFORT. it has no rivalry, man. You need to enjoy ur first success? Baby boy is it. that Camry is pure water, period. ![]() |
@Superstar You got that firstbank figure spot on! Even if u goofed on others, the 104k is it. I bet u saw one of the bloody BA's payslip? ![]() |
@poster Its called SEEING DA BIG PICTURE. In 2day's world, if u can't play globally, u're not a player. U got it? |
@Erico lol bro, Its true sha, afterall that was what James watt discovered long time ![]() |
quote from Double N What did you expect from a Zinox? It is always better to patronize OEM's. Just the other day i heard of a Haier thermocool Laptop beig Sold! How do you mean its better to patronize OEM's? For clarity, all Branded hardware system dealers are called OEM's (Original Equipment manufacturers) by the Software manufacturers. These OEM's include Zinox, Dell, Omatek, HP, etc. However, you have to understand that all the OEM's do not manufacture the hardwares in the actual sense. What they do is that they purchase all the components, assemble them together and put their name on them as a mark of Integrity. So, when you buy a laptop/desktop or any system from them, they take responsibility for whatever happens to any of the components because they put it together, that's why they can give you warranty unlike your guy at Otigba that cannot take responsibility for the one he cloned for you because he doesn't even know the reliability of the components himself. But like every other thing that is done in this country, either we don't have any value for standards or we are not generally prepared to pay for genuine equipments. While DELL or HP will make sure that all his components are set to highest quality, you may not say the same of our local counter parts. This brings our Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) into the picture. Those guys have failed this country woefully. They are the ones to keep our local OEM's on their toes to deliver the best all the time. Check out what NAFDAC is doing in the food/drug field, SON too should wake up and earn their pay. |
@Landis What a brilliant idea you have about using the rent issue to reach the underbanked. Though its still raw, but the idea is great if u consider d fact that getting the underbanked funds had been a huge headache on the financial institutions. I hope that our law makers will get to see this and develope the idea into a workable framework. That's why i love Nairaland, in d midst of a whole lot of junks, u still pick a few jewels. |
@klassyguy lol Was wondering whether those ur pix are actually for the car or for a construction site (building and road are all u took, man) ![]() |
Jenju man! Thanks for the low-down sha. You are da man!!! ![]() |
