Donald Yusuf: @shady26. Responding to you in the same tone would be an act of immaturity on my part. You said the writeup is "beautiful nonsense". You are entitled to your opinion. It's obvious you read the post with the intention of criticizing it...i never said all graduates are unintelligent; i said there is a difference between being naturally intelligent and cramming to pass exams. If you think you are intelligent, then good for you.U struck a nerve when you relegated the mechanical engr to a mechanic. I understand your post, but if u know nothing about engineering, please don't claim you do, cos you sound pretty flat to those of us in the profession. Its almost like saying a doctor is incompetent simply becos he can't operate an xray machine! Am a chemical engineer, but I can actually say that automobile engineering is J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ a specialized subset of mechanical engineering. This is not to say that there are not a lot of half baked engr graduates out there (every profession will have its mediocres) None the less, I agree with a few of the points you raised, J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ be careful when you venture in to areas you have limited background on when trying to present your points ![]() |
I agree with most of what op is saying, but the part about mechanical engr graduate not being able to fix a car engine is really a statement out of ignorance. It is true that the practical aspects of learning engineering in Nigerian universities are rather limited, but there is more to mechanical engineering than J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ fixing cars. As a matter of fact, automobile engr is J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ an elective course that is done by certain final year mech students for J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ one semester. Is that enuf for them to start constructing and repairing engines left right and center? Also when op made reference to engineering, he made the classic layman's mistake for mixing up "the engineer" (in this case, mechanical engr) with the "technician" (in this case the mechanic). Op was correct in so many ways, but when he delved into engineering, he was working on intuition. No matter how much practical an engr. Student is exposed to (maybe in a foreign school), there is no replacement for EXPERIENCE in the field. That's why almost all companies will train graduate engineers after recruitment. Also, companies abroad offer more internship programs to graduates (to build these potentials) than they do here in nigeria. All we have here is a 6 months internship program which is not enough. Finally, so much of what op is saying is true, as there is a need to do what u are designed to do, instead of doing J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ what family or society dictates. This is the more reason we need counselors in our secondary schools |
jude33084: It shows clearly that you are a weak ♏ãnHahahahaha MR Macho I hear from you. I can feel the testosterone J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ oozing from you. Try and be practical for once in ur life. Its ur type that will come out and brag about how he "combo-ed" is wife the previous nite, when na ur head the "koko" full pass. Get real abeg! Its one thing to be J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ a house wife, and its another thing to be the wife of the PRESIDENT! When you talk of controlling a wife, you should put the two in perspective. Even a humble house wife in the position of mrs 1st lady will most like let the whole thing get into her head, not to talk about someone as un-posh as Patience. It takes a very sound and decent upbringing for a lady to handle so much power and still keep her cool. |
Gamji007: We need a president with control.Lolz I agree with you jor. Nigeria needs a tyrant and control freak. We simply haven't had enuf of abacha. We need someone that will make us do frog jump on the streets as a means of instilling discipline. We are not ready for democracy. After all how many of the so called e warriors here had the liver to say jack about abacha. . . . . Nigerians and their epileptic, myopic brain cells. ![]() Backward set of people that have no plain or insight for the future. What has he done before that warrants a second chance? Is buhari the best we have in a nation of 160 million? What about the donald dukes, and fashola's? We keep recycling junks as leaders and people like you are happy...say we are making PROGRESS. |
This is very unlike me. I know I should have read the whole story, but when I hear 2face and young children plus advice, the only thing that comes to mind is mass condom distribution. BTW, I hope there aren't any over matured looking girls there. I J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ don't trust that young man ![]() |
Paulkigame: I see a the failure of the president to act on this matter as the main problem! He should tame his unruly wife and make the woman understand his government and person has sufffered much disgrace through her actions. Oga gboss4sure, i thought this whole land matter was a joke or created to drag her name in da mud. I blame GEJ; a man that has no control over his wife!I laugh @ you in swahili...did you J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ say control of his wife. How many men in nigeria have "control" of their wives today in their families. Which woman here on NL will get married 2 a president and wldnt go crazy with all the power that comes with it. Common local govt chairman's wife was slaping som1 the other day. Can you enter office today, and tell ur wife "well honey, there is no official position in the constitution for 1st lady, so J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ be quite in the background" I can bet u GEJ has enuff heat to last him 2 life times than to stand the heat of a nagging wife. The of a Fear of a woman is the beginning of wisdom, ask any married man and dey will give you their full gist. Control ni , controller ko!! |
yhellow: The best way Ȋ̝̊̅§ face to face transaction.face to face? So how does that work here on NL? Especially since I and the person may mostly be states apart |
There is something so wrong about the post am seeing here. Why da Phuck is the op J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ posting jargons thru out. "Very good", "trust me" . Etc This is the 3rd thread am opening and its only op commenting Freaking weird |
For example, since the issue of trust is a big problem here, who makes the 1st leap of faith? If I find an interested customer, do I demand payment 1st b4 I send the product, or is it the other way round? Please my bizzness gurus in the hous should help me out |
Hi, I am about starting a computer importing bizz, and intend to use NL as a medium to sell them. Seeing how dubious and evil some people can be, I need some info on the best way of selling to people here . Please your experiences and suggestions will really help. Thanks |
fittty: Stock fish! I have been expecting someone to say dis for ages |
jaybee: the seventy something year old man is still there (lingering around) because he believes he can offer what the younger ones don't have ( or can not offer)Amazing argument brother. So what ur saying is that GEJ J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ contested for presidency right from the creeks abi? Or right from his days as a lecturer? Was he not 1st a deputy governor, before becoming a governor, then vice president before he became the acting president and finally the president? IBB's comment has nothing to do with the under performance of GEJ's administration. Even in terms of age, GEJ ain't no spring chicken. He should be above 50 years. And finally, who's job is it 2 train the leaders of tomorrow. If IBB, Buhari and co had don their job correctly, would there be a problem finding young leaders of today to assume the mantle of leadership? And if they failed then to impact their immediate future generation (our parents), what hope do we the children of the present have? |
TechyGuy: All the bad road projects you see are inspected by civil service engineers. They go there, they are sorted, then they go back with good reports. the road goes bad the next month, everybody starts insulting the governor or president! Its amazing how an ordinary NEPA official can open his filthy mouth and talk about how corrupt this country is when he contributes daily to the problem. What about NNPC staffs. My God, I had a friend that did is IT in nnpc...people move fuel like its their fathers property. I guess GEJ should personally arrest each and every one of them. As far as am concerned...if you are a nigerian and were born and raised in this country you have the potential of being corrupt. The only deciding factor is God and opportunity! |
Apparently, its glearing this dude we refer as Nigeria president cannot pilot the affairs of this country,he's so full of timid. What is the essence of a dog one purchases with money that can neither bark nor bite?I'd rather suggest he steps down on time to pave way 4an individual capable to handle the affairs of this country efficiently. We are death sick of his rants on daily basis,he cannot prosecute any1,what meaningful project has he done successfully so far?he only ascended that position by a fortune and is running out of it now.
. . . . .^^^

payless: This man is insane and needs urgent attention. How did we let this guy beocome President?Do you people read @ all. And @ op the title of the topic is misleading. He never denied the presence of corruption in the government, nor is he running from responsibly, but simply reminded us that when we point a finger, the rest always points back @ us. The truth is that most of us in this country do not believe we have any form of responsibility apart from paying of taxes Truth is so many of us in this country benefit from corruption in one form or the order. Its high time we had more whistle blowers in our industries. Our banks are ripping us of on a daily basis, and there people with inside information that keep this info to themselves. The law is BLIND (hence the piece of cloth over the eyes of the statue we see in court houses). Big thief, small theif, a thief is a thief! Govt is doing something about corruption (no matter how microscopic it may be), its time we did our bit, but disclosing information about our corrupt uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, cousins, that are part of organized labour, and are benefiting from corruption in one way or the other. |
Goodluck is going to win the next election. Not because I like him, or others do. He is going to win based on the principle of Attraction The principle of attraction is very real, and states that we attract into our lives what we think about the most. The principle is so real and has been scientifically proven (pls google it). There is too much hate and attention being poured on the wrong person. Its J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ like tonto dike and negative press. Wheda you like it or not so many people downloaded her song not becos it was good, but because so many "haters" advertised the song. I would suggest the people who dislike GEJ to focus their energy less on GEJ running or not, and redirect it on who dey feel should be in aso rock. That same energy on GEJ should be used in publicizing WHO you want. My 2 cents |
Afam4eva: An underdog getting to the semis? That's a new one. Lol.They were the Underdogs IN THE SEMI's |
La Liga is not rated cos they are just 3 teams, barca, madrid and the rest. The competitiveness is frigging poor. That's why the likes of Messi n CR7 will be hitting 50+ goals every season like they are playing against their kids.Nobody watches La liga cept barca or madrid are playing, its absolutely pathetic. Now LooK what the germans are doing to them, they can't try it with Everton I tell ya
True, heard buffon said messi wldnt score up 2 20 goals if he were in d seri A |
Afam4eva: How come the reigning champions didn't get out of the group stage this season? What chelsea did last season has left a scar in the prestigious competition and should never be allowed to happen ever again. How can a team without class be listed among the greats f european football. They have indeed stained that compeition. I'll rather Chievo verona had won it.Sir Afam even though I respect ur comments on NL so much, but honestly if any club ever disgraced the champions league, it would be barcelona. WTF! 7-0 aggregate in a semi final?? Who does that. It gives the feeling that bayern were playing a club from south sudan. Chelsea won it by showing resounding courage and tenacity. Its not sweet, but its a quality respected in any game. But 7-0 man?? Barca should be banned from football 4 a year or two. If a team from isreal or scotland took part in dis league and got hammered a 7-0 margin, am pretty sure UEFA will be talking about reducing d number of slots allocated for that country. For the 1st time in my life, I found myself supporting barca. (Simply cos I have a soft spot 4 underdogs), and dey baffled me. . . . . . . . Never though I'd see the day whn I would use the word underdog and barca in the same sentence. Smh |
thegoodjoehunt: I think the Germans will win the world Cup. The mixture of the Bayern and Dortmund players can make a formidable team to rattle any opposition.Don't really see what all d new hype about the german league is all about. They as about as monotonous as the spanish league, with bayern enforcing the highest level of monopoly. The gap btw bayern and any other club (including dortmond) is 2 wide. German league is not much different from the spanish league. Also, on a national team level, no one can match spain (yes her 2 best team where beaten). But I would like 2 see the german national team try this stunt with the Spanish national team b4 I conclude anything |
andyanders: Match started. Mercy, go for goal. I see Barca taking this game tonight.See this one, its like ur watching ur own tv in reverse ![]() |
Hmm always wonder how being raped and molested would feel like ![]() Am guessing I would feel like barca ![]() |
BREAKInG NEWS!!! UEFA has J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ cancelled the barca vrs munich match. . . . Am serious ooo . . . . . . ![]() |
Well I try to refrain from commenting on political things, but this one caught my interest. Did I support goodluck @ the last election? The answer is yes Am I surprised about his performance? The answer is NO! At all. I told my sis back then during the election period not to expect much from him. That he may not necessarily be a good president, but may not be a bad one either. I anticipated that GEJ would be very static Why I did I then support a man like him? Well the answer is that of all the criminals that came fort, (in as much as I disliked pdp), he looked the most human, and less likely to turn despotic. Honestly, if confronted with d same choice of "criminalistic" candidates like buhari, etc and etc, I would b once again forced to choice among the least criminally minded among them (because they are ALL criminals). This is going to be the situation on ground, until our political climate becomes such that real patriots and leaders among the masses with ideas and values are allowed to contest, without being assassinated. |
Was among the happiest people whn munich won barca...I can't help but support barca 2moro..don't know why Must be my weakness for underdogs.. (Lolz neva thought I would ever use d word underdogs and barca in d same sentence) |
Ozil shot be brought out, hanged, shot, then decapitated ![]() |
Ezebinaugwu: abeg which station dey show d match!!!!!!!Radio Nigeria ![]() |
Ozil J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ made his way to d top of my hit list . Check in the stands and you will see one bald headed hitman waiting 2 terminate his as$ |

As long as due process is followed, and all entitlements paid...I say "SACK THEM ALL" Pay back's a BIT*ch!! All those years of overblown estimated bills, and I am expected to feel sorry 4 dem. If by sacking 100,000 I stand the chance of seeing constant power in this generation I say "SACK THEM ALL" The majority of them are highly inefficient, corrupt anyway. Yet you will still some mindless labor dudes coming to cos confusion. We want progress, we must be ready 2 pay d price for progress.

slimghost: You really need to see a shrink sir! Can't make sense out of that crap you posted. Point is, your are a biased, bigoted and hate filled soul.My friend relax abeg. What's up with all this negativity and insult. The person ur quoting hasn't even insulted you. Bigot this bigot that...do you even know what the word means?? That perhaps he is on the side of rotimi and not GEJ now makes him a bigot right? Aren't both parties from the south south. So what's up with all this bigot tantrum your spilling here. Does any form of opposition to an opinion need to be classified as bigotry? I J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ tire for you jor. As far as am concerned, we here in d south south need GEJ and amaechi to get their shi*t together, and stop advertising their dirty laundry in public. They will accomplish more working 2geda than apart. |
Faculty of engineering is known as a bad boys faculty everywhere bro...even in uniport. I guess its J̶̲̥̅̊u̶̲̥̅̊S̤̥̈̊τ̲̣̣̥ the male dominance that people sense whn the see guys from that faculty. They can't handle us. Add our swagg plus our brains, and what you have is pure ENVY ![]() |
