Thank you very much.
What is written there is just GRE, when I tried to register I started seeing things such as General, physics etc
Since it is not specified I presume it is general then.

Stevenssen:
check the department website for the requirement.
But most of them require the general test

Good morning all I hope we are doing well.

Is it general or subject-specific eg chemistry, physics etc

Thank you very much for your response.

TravelRe: Sudden Change In US Visa Rules That Affect Nigerians by chibertha(f): 5:24pm On Jun 05, 2019
wow

queenyetty09:
Sudden Change In US Visa Rules That Affects Nigeria
thenigerianvoice.com

The United States Government last Week, without prior information or notice, launched a New Immigration Policy called "Build America" It is a new merit base visa application system that seeks to increase the standard of scrutiny of visa application to prevent people of questionable reputation, economic immigrants and People without travel history from getting US visa.

Under this new rules, key changes have already been implemented without notice, as follows :

1. End of Drop box (automatic visa renewal without interview for existing visa holders is cancelled. Existing visa owners will now apply and be interviewed like everyone else when their visa expires )

2. Green Card to be scrapped
3. Applicants for B1 or B2 visas without adequate travel experience will now be automatically denied.

4. Applicant with monthly income below $1700 will now be considered as economic immigrants and denied.

5. Strong ties & attachments (compelling proofs of what can bring you back )to Nigeria now to be strongly emphasized.

If look at the attached picture, you will see No AOS stamped on the passport. AOS means Adjustment of Status.

Overstaying your valid stay invalidates your Visa immediately. This failure to maintain status could lead to future bars to entry to the USA or to you being removed from the USA. Violating the terms and conditions of your status also makes you ineligible for a Change of Status. You cannot change to marriage/school/work/health/asylum/etc.

Again, on the same passport you will see No.EOS. EOS means Extention of Stay.

If you are visiting the U.S. and find that you want to extend your stay beyond the date on your I-94, you CANNOT FILE ANYTHING AGAIN.

You cannot file Form I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status with USCIS.

What they are doing to people now in America is that they stamp your passport and write this shown below. Someone who landed in Atlanta and they stamped her passport No AOS, which means No Adjustment Of Status. The next one, No EOS means No Extension Of Status. So no longer extending your 6months stay or adjustment of status or getting married while you are there. Everyone has to be careful this people are not joking.

Trump isn't smiling. This is very serious. Going to America now is not going to be easy anymore.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by chibertha(f): 5:25pm On May 15, 2019
welcome
First, get a pen and book for jotting
then go to www.cic.gc.ca navigate to study
there you will see links to all schools in Canada and make your choice after which you apply to the school.
also there you would find other information regarding how to apply for visa etc.

Also, go through this thread from PT 14
when you have done that come back to ask questions on things you are not clear about.

chigo4u:
Hello guys, I want to study in Canada, how possible is it to get student visa @30 years, if yes what schools can I apply for, like community colleges or uni in Canada.
I’ll be sponsoring myself financially, I’m capable of doing that.
I abandoned university for business and feel like I need to get a degree right now.

Anyone in the know and can advice me on what to do, I’ll appreciate. Thanks

Abi oh

Kez911:
Wtf!! Are u sure this agent applied anything for the guy....am sure he paid #400k for that absolute nothingness of an application
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by chibertha(f): 1:50pm On May 15, 2019
Ah shame
But a lot of our people are keeping them in business because we have refused to take out a little time everyday to study.

Take for instance in my office they call me "Google it" why because if you ask me a question I would reply by telling you to Google it first or by giving you the links to the page.

I have helped a lot of them get Visas they had wasted millions paying agents and ended up not getting.

The truth is we only want things easy way at all times.

ghabrhiel10:
Men these guys are just ruthless, I just left qlife now and there's this guy that sat beside me for medicals, no medical form, the agent just said he should go for medicals. According to him, the agent said he submitted his application since May 2018 ND I'm like Wah!!!!. The one that off me was when I asked if he has done his biometrics. He said no cry Why are agents like this. The agent even held the passport since last year, saying it has been with the embassy and he took it from them yesterday and gave this guy to come for the medicals today (the agent said he knows someone at the embassy). How will somebody comfortably waste 1yr if another person life, this is so wicked. I've introduced the guy to this forum tho, and advised him to get that sole called wicked agent locked. Pls gurus, let's continue with the good work here, God will surely repay us well. I felt for this guy cos I know wetin agent do me sef cry

Don't you think at this stage it is better your friend came on board the platform to learn things for himself.
Because there are informations you might have missed which he would not.

Besides it reduces your stress to your own issues alone instead of thinking for 2.

My opinion

He apply in Nigeria through Paper route, on 28th of march medical immediately and biometric correspondence letter 5 days ago and visa denial today.

abusmanlouis:
Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your student permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

Sincerely,

IRCC Nairobi

High Commission of Canada to Kenya

My friend just got denied of study permit after 5 days.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by chibertha(f): 7:40pm On May 14, 2019
I saw it coming with the number of 211g flying around in recent times.

I just pray Canada does not tighten their own knots.

Qudkom:
The United States of America, just banned the use of drop box for visa renewal. Now you have to apply and wait. I just keep shaking my head to how far we've fallen. Every single year it gets harder and the requirements gets tougher. Nigeria is part of the top 10 countries that overstay their visa's in Usa/Canada.

To think there will be a general election in Canada this year gets me worried. I mean what if the immigration rules change!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by chibertha(f): 4:22pm On May 13, 2019
My dear as in eh
Me I saw it and just waka passed.

You tried to much to even try to give points of corrections.

Bracha:
I know my next words would be misconstrued, but I don't care.

You “need vital information” so we're supposed to just roll over and bend over backwards to provide them for you. Not a “please” or a “kindly” in all that sentence. Your post smacks or utter arrogance. But then we will give you what you want because we're here to fulfill your “utmost desire”, I mean what else are we here for? undecided

No WhatsApp group was created, at least none I'm aware of. As Kez911 and Makano will always advise, start from Part 14 of this thread and read through till the end.

Also, use Google. You're a first class student, you should know that Google is your friend.

Side note: no one is being paid here, even just.wise is doing it from the goodness of his heart. So please don't expect people to hand you things on a platter, do your research extensivelyz and when you're done, ask questions. Let's drop this entitlement mentality we have - me inclusive. This applies to nairaland and in life in general.

PS: teegreat08 before you change what you wrote to maybe claim something else, I have a screenshot of the original post. Stay humble honey kiss kiss

Now y'all can come for me, I'm ready. *flexes fat muscles* grin

Well spoken

Bracha:
Hello @Flashing, I noticed you didn't respond to my post here. Unfortunately I can't reply your private message because you do not have a post on nairaland - I'm assuming you're a private person, which means you'll understand if I don't reply you because of my own privacy.

I'm sorry about this, but maybe if you had a post or posts then I could have replied, that way I know I'm speaking with "someone."

Your ghost mode is uncomfortable for me.

Thanks for understanding.

PS: i'm sure others won't have this reservation.

I am not the person that needs it.
I also have all those materials you talked about.

As a first timer for the exam and considering the amount IELTS exam now charge, you need somebody to teach you well. although is very easy to pass but you need to be tutor well dear. You can visit British Council to get their self practise book for ( #5,000) and which have a CD in it. I could be of help to train you because I have the material and the CD.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by chibertha(f): 6:29am On May 12, 2019
Do you really need to pay for study lessons at all?
Go on line there are a lot of free study materials there. Besides when you pay you are given free access to some online aid.

See those YouTube links below

So to download any YouTube video from the net to your phone or computer so you can watch anytime offline, browse to the video on YouTube while connected to the internet; when the video is playing, click on the address bar (you’d notice it has a long string of address eg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gWxx1ntHTs); remove every character you have before the ‘youtube’ and replace them with ‘ss’. So the address for our example above would now look like ssyoutube.com/watch?v=9gWxx1ntHTs; hit enter and browse this new address, it would direct you on how to download the video and save to your phone/computer.

How possible this is anyway, because every semester result is sent to the Senate for approval in a spreadsheet.
It simply means her entire class result is missing.

Imagine losing a whole 4 or 5 years of someone's work/life, with no one to hold accountable. This country is something else.

In Nijia ke !
It is the same thing that is done in my school but the record is usually together with that of your other classmates.that is where it is extracted from to give you your 4 pages.

Eg if you graduated from Franch in 2002
Which means you mat. No./ reg. No 98.......

They would just go to the booklet containing all 2003 sets records

So her school saying they can not find it hum
Imagine from yr1 -5 no record of her

Bracha:
Then you attended a good school. In my school it was typed on four sheets of A4 paper, and it included the registrar's stamp where required. Daz all.
