There is no doubt about the fact that APC funds Boko Haram. The only thing is that they failed to see they cannot rule "Nigeria" using violence. Unless they can somehow win the majority of Nigerians, their Boko Haram wing will remain a distraction. |
Ihejirika's refusal to allow USA free access to conduct the Boko Operations have really pained them. When calling him a sponsor of Boko Haram has been exposed for its hollowness, now Ihejirika is a billionaira in their words. Let the Federal government investigate the allegation on procurement funds, but it must be born in mind that America does not have the interest of the country at heart and cannot be trusted. They are most likely pursuing some revenge agenda here against a Nigerian officer they believe frustrated their evil plans for Nigeria under the pretext of "helping Nigeria find Chibok girls" and resolve Boko Haram insurgency. It is gradually becoming obvious that America's CIA helps to run the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria just like this agent revealed here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1mNgg8TtTM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACdZPM6NnS4 |
plan plan plan! What about action! |
This white man i s a rogue. Perhaps one of the many agents western countries have dispatched to hatch crisis to bring Nigeria down |
He is mourning Shekau abi its Bashir his true name is. ![]() |
I hope this is a lie. Now that Boko is almost defeated giving them these commanders to retrain recruits on weapons and terror tactics is the worst thing to do. They can always kidnap more people to ask for more releases. We have to learn how to act like we are a serious nation! |
True, Just like America and Canada have the best English accent in the world |
Cannonleo: He may look absolutely convincing nd stunning with his writeups but mr fulans posts or sitrepd smack heavily of B H propaganda mixed with on the street talk and true sources all made to paint a gloomy picture of the battle in the north eastProbably among the terrorist killed at Konduga ![]() |
shockwave91: That's how they killed their first leader and boko haram became wat it is today. Now they've killed dis dude maybe they will metarmorphose into freaking AL-QEADA!!! ![]() Where is alqaeda now and even their leaders? Even oga bin- something don kpai ![]() Nigeria was in an apologetic mood after the death of Yusuf and even offered to try policemen to know what happened.Until Shekau lost it and started killing people anyhow, it became obvious he was more interested in blowing up Nigerians to prove he was tough than arguing his cause. Now Nigerians know Boko Haram for who they truly are, we are now poised to fight this monster than the empathy for the group when yusuf died. Now, let him come out and confront Nigerians, why is he afraid nah? If they like, let them go and borrow a leader from Taliban, we don't care. The same one bullet that fell Shekau waits for him. That is if USA hell fire missile does not roast him alive like it did to al-shabab leader. It's only a question of time. ![]() |
sauceny: Abeg if its true that he is dead, they should smoke his body like a fish & kept @ the museum for touring...Tourist willing to pay heavily to see the man that said Nigerians won't sleep.Smoke wetin? They should throw it into lake chad with big stone around its neck or pour acid to dissolve it and burn it completely. Shekau is worse than ebola virus. |
Eyaa, Sahara report thought he could indefinitely continue killing and maiming Nigerians so that Jonathan can be blamed for Shekau's atrocities. Now await the next one to be crowned by the group. It is now obvious that Boko haram is a creation of the enemies of Nigeria to gradually bring the country to it's knees by war of attrition. Sorry, with the FG now determined to procure weapons for our troop through every means available, Bokos will soon taste the sting of NA. By the way, you can tell your friends at BBC and elsewhere to tip off South Africa that our arms shipment will pass through their airport. We will get enough weapons to deal with your Boko puppets. |
spyder880: Enjoy. .....Wow! kids are really having fun in Enugu! Please where is Joeluv? I miss that guy and his pictures ![]() |
While these may be Boko Harams that are tired, it may also be an elaborate trap from their commanders to mislead the NA with info and help divert their attention from the true plans of Boko Haram. Either way, some Boko Haram should be offered the opportunity to surrender and guarantee that they wont be killed if they surrendered in this battle. |
spyder880: Ifeoma Nwobodo in pictureshmmm, odikwa serious! |
Even though we remember all the atrocities they committed, we should not maltreat the ones that surrendered. Put them i a prisoner of war camp and ascertain their degree of involvement. Foot soldiers should eventually be discharged while the criminals and commanders should face the music. |
All the new building in Naija are collapsing WHY ![]() Now that we are cement sufficient, our buildings have started fulling apart like cookies? Is there a fall in standard between the cement now sold to Nigerians and the hitherto imported cement? Somebody please investigate this new phenomenon with new buildings under construction!!! |
Please Ignore this attention seeking ofenmmanu above. Cannot even spell chinazaekpere. He has been spamming all Igbo threads in NL seeking for attention |
christejames: Even in my school the wind of transformation is also blowing across. Here is sociology/anthropology department by the right (do u notice the workers around keeping the surrounding and buildings clean?), faculty of social science building by the left (housing four departments), faculty of education at the extreme end with pol. Science in the middle. We are not yet there but we would surely get there #repingUNN, and kudos to Bartho!Keeping the surrounding clean is a great thing to do. But most importantly planting trees, grass and flowers to transform the entire environment into a true campus feel is a begging issue in our higher institutions. We must teach young people that a conducive environment is just as important as the building itself. The best place to impact that awareness is in the universities...... and you can only do so by planting trees and flowers so that they see the difference between the campus environment to their hometown.

oneeast: You have made some valid and some invalid points as well!Chino, stop putting up all these maps, I know the place better than you.I don't wish to indulge in a fruitless back and forth on this issue. ONE thing you said that i like if it is true is " It will be a PPP funded project" So that it does not tie up funds meant for the development of the entire state. Therefore, I support the building of the airport in that case. I don't know about the convenience of it's location but that is the headache of the PPP consortium investing their money. I am a core Anaedo person and in business we know sentiment is a loser's strategy . So for example, If you expect Anambra people to buy an inferior and expensive product just because the seller is from their hometown and the other seller of the original and cheaper product is not, then wake up from your slumber for the surprise. Anambra people will not patronize you out of pure sentiment alone. That is why we try our best to beat every competitor's quality and price as a winning business strategy. So, I tell you solemnly, if we do not beat our competitor's quality and convenience of location in this case, don't expect our people to stop patronizing them purely out of sentiment. Ekwusigom nkem. |
I am still pondering if this is a good priority for my state now. I know in 2007 and 2008 we made representations to Gov Peter Obi on the need to complete Oba airport or to start another one along Awka Onitsha express way or along Onitsha - Owerri express. Prof. Chinyere Okunna the Governor's prime commisioner assured that the result of a feasibility study was being awaited. We made a second request on this issue in early 2008 when the Asaba airport foundation was laid warning that if Delta beat Anambra to it and acquires an airport in Asaba, the dynamics of our airport's viability will change and the momentum created by a good airport in Asaba will be difficult to overturn. The feasibility study result was again used as an excuse to postpone that request. While i have obviously agitated for an airport in Anambra state before 2009, the new realities on the ground cannot be carelessly ignored. Anambra is a young state in dire need of infrastructure. We must choose our priorities very wisely based on what is in our utmost interest. If truly a feasibility study was carried out on the Anambra airport, it be useful for Obiano to find it and see what their findings are. I also think our airport should be along a major expressway leading to Onitsha instead of the hinterland. If Obiano makes a rash decision and this project ends up like Oba airport which was never completed after spending billions of naira there, I will hold the governor responsible for the waste and help make sure he pays for this politically. We should apply our meagre resources wisely. |
This talk of skyscrappers reminds me of a meeting we had in Houston Texas with Peter Obi during his tenure as Governor. He had asked for ideas about how to make the state great. One man stood up and said if you looked around Houston, you will see skyscrappers, wide boulevards and he had come down from New York where he saw electric trains which conveyed people from Grand central station to all parts of New York. As far as he was concerned, that was what he wanted built in Anambra state by Peter Obi. ![]() The next speaker jokingly asked him what was the budget of the New York city and he did not know. So someone in the crowd goggled it and shouted $73 billion dollars Sir! There was immense laughter in the hall. The joke being that New York city's budget was more than twice the entire Nigeria's budget, not to talk of Anambra's tiny budget of less than $500 million dollars! Now what happened to suggesting the funding of Agriculture to enable food security and wealth generation, poverty reduction, building first class hospitals and diagnostic centers, accessibility of all parts of the state with durable roads serviced with solid gutters etc. These are tangible projects one can finance within a budget of $500 million dollars than mentioning single projects that cost an upward of $300 million to $10 billion dollars to accomplish. This is part of the reason people think that those that live abroad are ediots, because they have no sense of what is even possible. The point of the story is that our people go abroad and recommend super infrastructure white elephant projects which even advanced countries will struggle to fund. Back to the issue, I support us dreaming big. One of the reasons I adore Chime is that he dreams big but realistically. The Abuja style development is not just the most feasible based on the amount of money required to achieve it, but the sustainability of it. Chime has quietly made sure his roads, their marking, traffic lights, road signs and other projects at least measure up to what can be found in Abuja. For example,Look at the airport link road flyover, many SE governors would not have redesigned that flyover from it's initial poor design. But Chime made sure those going to Abakaliki from the Enugu International airport are able to join the Abakaliki bound expressway facing that direction decending from the flyover. Spyder will know what I'm talking about. Therefore, taking pictures of Tokyo, Los Angeles,New York City or Shanghai and insisting it must be replicated in Enugu without considering the revenue base of those states is like a one year old wondering why he can't suddenly own all Dangote's cement factories and all his money. Life my dear is in stages, you have to first build basic infrastructure to attract companies which will create an economy that generates wealth, before you can have such mind blowing funds for those romantic projects and skyscrapers in those pictures of Paris etc posted. Romantically dreaming of a sudden magic wand to wave and solve all the immediate pressing problems of poverty, suddenly convince IMF or world bank to decide to empty their vault and build skyscrapers in Enugu calls for some risperdal. The Abuja style development below is where we should be going.....

I am happy for everything in Enugu, Onitsha ,Aba and Owerri they are all my cities. I can tell you why. I will not give details of my life just to obscure my ID a little. I was born in Aba and raised there. Went to former Prescco secondary school Abakaliki, then completed secondary school in Enugu. Went to University in Awka and lived in Onitsha, precisely off Tony Umeh street in Awada L/O. When i got married to a guy living abroad, they advised me to read nursing while waiting for my green card, so I started with school of nursing at ABSUTH Aba, then finished and worked in FMC Owerri. then decided to also do Midwifery at FMC Umuahia, volunteered in the maternity ward at Emekuku hospital when i finished midwifery. Then got work same year at Onitsha general before i was finally able to get a green card and travel out.A total of about 9 years after our wedding. So I have a passion for the SE development, even though Igbos here in the USA always wonder why I'm still so passionate about Nigeria. Perhaps being in America has since opened my eyes to what we have been doing wrong as a people. We have failed to see our collective destiny as one and therefore work in concert to uplift our region.Unfortunately, those that wish death on Igbos know that if we unite our cause, they are finished in their wicked plots against our people. Unlike an American that will not buy a million dollar house in a bad neighborhood, because he believes he cannot be happy to enjoy his life in the midst of angry poor fellow citizens. We on the other hand believe that we can thrive and be happy individually when our neighbors are in sorrow. What fallacy! That is precisely the mindset that have ruined Nigeria as a whole. Where some people believe Nigeria can be a developed working country if they cheat in everything and find ways to under-develop and exclude the SE area of the same country! What madness! Somebody talked about South East Development initiative. That is where we should be going as a people.Strategic regional industries and transportation system. But our intellectually lazy generation may not see that glorious day. We are still busy focused on the small inconsequential things happening in their villages such as who built a house with escalator or not, than the important bigger picture of regional development and cooperation. That is part of my intention to begin by helping my state citizens to begin to see the entire state as their constituency rather than their tiny villages. Perhaps with time, they may learn to see the entire SE as a unit too. Somehow, being able to see how the prosperity created by agriculture in Ebonyi can feed into creating jobs for food packaging factories in Enugu that will easily make wares available at Onitsha and Aba markets as well as many working class customers who can buy those goods at Onitsha or Aba is beyond this generation of Ndigbo. Perhaps my sojourn to America enabled me to connect the big dots of the bigger picture. Thus, why i am ecstatic about the developments in Enugu, Owerri and elsewhere because i know they are good things for me. I may sound silly to some who are yet to attain this level of awareness, but in time you too will see it too. |
ChinoElects: Forget the long story and come to see me at federal sec when next you visit home. Of course we cannot shakes our hands that we have arrived yet but we shall keep aiming higher if not we shall remain stunted..I saw Peter Obi in Awka when I came back. We went in the company of ASA USA President. So, I know the progress we have made. But compared to our capability, we deserve much more. |
ChinoElects: You have made some valid and some invalid points. Maybe because of your over stay in US and all that. I will start by telling you that some if not most of great minds and big businessmen are now living within Anambra. All those big shots do not necessarily disclose their locations all the time, I am resident in Anambra so I am privy to some of this information. The last we checked the resident population of people in Anambra is still twice the population of people resident in Enugu state, what does that mean to you?Bro, by the way, I AM A BONAFIDE NWA ANAMBRA COMPLETE ! I was in Nigeria this February, so kpachalu kwa anya there. I am truly from Ekwusigo LGA which if you know the state comprise of Ichi, Oraifite and Ozubulu. I want to remain vague about my town because my name is truly Chima and I don't want anyone to figure me out so quickly. My intention is not to diss my state here or belittle our achievements so far, but we must discuss some hard facts about our warped mentality that has continued to drag us back. Instead lying to ourselves and continue to be referred to as the sleeping giant of the SE, I want our people to wake up and realize individual wealth count for nothing unless you are able to apply it in a unique way to make a difference in your life and others around you. |
ChinoElects: As much as I respect your tenacity in seeing this thread of yours through but I cannot fail to point out some 'misyarns' in your comments at times. What do you mean by the rapid development is not showing on the ground? It takes a person with full knowledge of what development entails to know one. When you rank Anambra and Enugu states sector by sector, you may not need an oracle to tell you that Anambra beats Enugu hand down. We should desist from unnecessary comparison. That said I still believe Chime has tried his best, and I wish Enugu state gets a technocrat that will do all round development that will not only focus on one area but all sectors simultaneously. Let us learn to make a balance comments and not unhealthy rivalry. GOD BLESS Igboland!Chino nwannem, gee nti kam gwa gi ife. If you look around, many of our great men still live outside Anambra, including the great Ikemba. WHY? We have not risen to the height we had hoped to rise after the 1991 creation of our state. Even Abakaliki today has surpassed our state capital Awka in development. Look around Enugu, what do you see? Many well laid out world-class layouts such as Centenary golf, city, Goshen, Victorcza, Trans Ekulu phase II, Abakpa Phase II, many are even around Emene and Gariki areas. Now, you cannot tell me that only people in Enugu can build houses! The difference is that the State government knows that it has to put in graded roads in the proper places designated for roads in these areas, extend electricity there to enable the citizens build. In comparison to our state, we pretend State government has no role in helping the private sector mark out a well planned residential areas with proper roads, drainage channels and thus we allow half baked people to build the state for us. The result is they will keep reproducing Awada and Okpoko all over the place, which may have great buildings, but so poorly planned that it appears like a concrete jungle because we have not given them the benefit of our intellect to help them put in proper roads, drainage channels, playgrounds for schools, hospitals etc in order to build great eye popping layout. Now in our state, apart from Udoka and Ngozika started by Ezeife, even our green wood estate is having hiccups. At Onitsha, the GRA phase II in Akpaka forest reserve have been blocked by people who want the land sold for thrillions of naira. In spite of that, the state government can dualize that Nsugbe road and ask the FG for reimbursement. The dualization of that road will enable GRA Onitsha to reach beyond FGGC Onitsha and use all that empty land at Nkwelle ezunaka. But who is thinking of developing the state like that? NOBODY! There are bridges which can be built in several parts of Omaba layout to access land on the other end of the Nkisi river, but nobody wants to do such a thing. So if you look at the satellite picture of Onitsha, it looks like a triangle. Boxed in by the river Niger at the base, the Nkisi river to the north and the Idemili river to the south. Everyone complains there is "No land" in Onitsha, yet all around the town reveal massive expanse of land which cannot be accessed because there are no bridges over the small streams surrounding them! We can plan great layouts with Abuja type houses if we simply look at our own homeland cities, build bridges where they are required and do what we know we are very capable of doing. Instead of trying to jealous others that have a visionary governor developing their state maximally. |
Sometimes, my fellow Anambrarians make me so ashamed. Looks like the IQ of those of them here is below average. Let me categorically state that the arguement here IS NOT ABOUT PETER OBI OR WILLY OBIANO!!! It is about our attitude as a people to our own COLLECTIVE development as a state. ( NOT ONLY SELFISH INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT). We should begin to think of Anambra as a unit, not just I'm from Ogbunike, I'm from oraifite, I'm from Ihiala or Nibo! Nobody doubts Peter Obi's great exploits in developing Anambra state from the the dungeon of a failed state which it used to be. Obi also had to battle many myopic Anambrarians who would rather the money shared to them than used in any useful way to develop the state and improve the lives of the people. This extreme individualism and a complete lack of the spirit of public service is what has killed us as a people and state! That is what this whole argument is all about. How Chime is able to put in the best infrastructure for the benefit of his entire people and state. Not just moving everything to his hometown the way Ngige would only fund the Anambra state university only if it were sited in Alor his hometown! What if Chime were building all these roads in Udi or Nenwe while he allows the state capital to rot? Then he turns around to say he was developing the rural areas, while the symbol of the state in the capital is a disgrace? It is on record that Obi built the first purposed built state secretariat, state teaching hospital, built bridges to reach many hitherto forgotten communities and shored up the education and health sectors to at least achieve the MDG. it should be noted that many so called "Anambra rich men" fought Obi tooth and nail to make sure he diverted the funds for development into their private bank accounts. Having said that, Anambra had existed many years before Peter Obi came. The rot in that state happened before Peter Obi and it was our disgusting overly greedy mentality to public good and development. That is why you'd find a strret over flowing with refuse and horrible pot holes, while all the houses on that street is woth at least N100 million naira each. Every one of the rich men would rather buy a jeep to get into his mansion, than talk to others on the street to pull together and provide a gutter and grade the road. I thank God many Nnewi, Ichi, Oraifite, oraukwu, Ukpor and Nnobi wealthy citizens have realized that their wealth is meaningless if they cannot in the least help their community with good roads, bore holes etc. If we can get all the Anambra rich people to behave like the few in these mentioned communities and help the state government to develop industrial complexes, well planned residential estates, help fund agricultural revolution by investing their wealth in rice production, poultry farms to produce frozen chicken, factories making cornflakes from the corn grown in Anambra etc, Anambra will truly become better than we can ever imagine. |
9jahubcom: Apart from the oil producing states, Lagos and FCT, all the states should receive the same amount. Now one can see why those who spill blood for power in Nigeria do so. Imagine Osun being last and taking a fraction of what Katsina, Borno or jigawa gets?? Injustice is the bane of Nigeria's development. |
see dirty nails men! |
Whether Jega's maneuvers was done to put GEJ or Buhari in power, Jega has created a crisis of confidence for INEC, which is supposed to be impartial. Nobody can be sure now that Jega will not alter the votes to help whomever is his preferred candidate to win. The clear point now is that Jega definitely has a preferred candidate he intends to use his unbiased critical position to influence the outcome of the elections. Just like it was good that Festus Odimegwu had to resign his position at the NPC for biased comments referring to the country's population figure for certain regions as bogus, instead of simply counting people and giving out the numbers he got. Jega should resign and save this country the inferno that will result from falsified election result |
For the sake of peace, confidence building and making sure the result of next years election is acceptable, Jega should honorably resign and save us this looming crisis of confidence. You cannot insist on being an impartial referee in a match where you have openly expressed your bias towards or against one side. |
nkenu: Nigeria would have been long divided .During my service year in Katsina, they hated me for not putting the hijab. They openly said bitterly they hated to be in the same country with the south, only that the oil was located in the south lol.... You know better than me what would have since happened to Nigeria if oil was located in the north. ![]() |
