Sincere 9gerian: HATERS continue to HATE, while GEJ continues to DELIVER and IMPRESS:WASH WASH |
Well I have a few concerns, on the face of it Buhari seems to be the Messianic savior Nigeria needs and at this point we can safely say we all know what to expect from the PDP even if Angel Gabe himself is running as president under their platform. My main problem is that times have changed, a lot! The free hand Buhari had to run government that time is no longer there. He would have to deal with the shenanigans of the House of Reps, the Senate, the judiciary ETC. True that to a large extent who is president in Nigeria has a lot of power and and call a lot of shots, but I fear that he would be bogged down by the many checks and balances of the democratic system and unless his party wins an outright majority I do not forsee any changes in moving Nigeria forward. I think we need a more modern leader, one who is very conversant with the challenges of democracy, does not owe too much debt to benefactors, and most of all is not running under the PDP. |

Analysis Beat: Good, the problem is that most people do not and associate Dbanj with this genre of music and I think the beat is the only thing that saved this song from being a disaster. Nigerian hit songs have good danceable beats for the most part of it at least. This sounds more like what david guetta would produce after quite a number of shots of Shekpe and a few kpakpa sticks. Vocals: Absolute rubbish, he is talking not even singing as far as I concerned. Something made Oga skibanj the man he was, quick fast beats with plenty of african flavour made his songs a hit. AFCON my behind My verdict, Why me, Oliver Twist, Igwe......heck Tongolo self would kick this song's ass like Wladimir Klitschko. DBnaj cannot be as good without don jazy. Don jazy would not reach his full potential when he has those youth academy singers his rank. They should squash the beef and do good music again. |
Allahu Akbar!
where did it say anything about that?See how the western world is marching on purposefully and all we do here in Africa is fill out our churches and mosques on Sundays and Fridays waiting for a daddy with white beards to come down and put food in our mouths. I agree with deep sight, this debate cannot be held without plenty of bitterness. Jarus I implore you to re think this topic, it would only spawn a lot of tribal threads left right and center. |
Yo, I cannot say I know how you feel, and there is really no need to flog the horse of degree and what not. Have you considered moving somewhere else? If the competition is too fierce and you are feeling the heat why not move somewhere else where what you are able to secure would at least be sufficient to float you for a while? I have always felt Abuja was a place that gulped a lot of money but barely produced much, I could be wrong but try and have a relocation rethink. Remember, a one eyed man is king in the land of the blind. |
Ibime: You don check table recently? |
Ibime: Mscheeew. Look who's talking. I thought you were the Tobe Azikiwe leading league sef only to find out you are struggling with Deborah. You guys are just one good gameweek away from me plus I've got Ba to play plus points to come off the bench. Ibime: Pay attention to Captain Amangala. He's right in the mix.I am trying hard to pay attention but I nearly fell off the cliff looking at how low you were on the table I have even still got demba ba left on my team to play then I should get ahead of oga debo ![]() |

This thread was opened to discuss the issues with Nigeria away from the razzzmattaz of the politics section. Y'all should take a chill pill and let of on all these back and forth accusations. Even though different people have got different methods of dealing with issues, one of the signs I think of a very immature conversation is the trading of insults back and forth. To those who are "atheists" kindly search Nairaland for nferyn and read his posts, to be honest the way some people go about it makes even me feel like it a religion to you guys. I believe there are countless threads to fully utilise this vitriol, no amount of shout downs or accusations back and forth would make anyone here have a damascus moment to go "aha the atheists are right or the christians are right". To those who are theists I need not point out more that our honorable Mod Jesoul, I am not religious she is, Pastor Aio is in his own weird way but we all get along together. I know I am probably asking the boderline impossible but sheath your swords, I know a whole bunch of people I have learned a thing or two from on here that have stopped posting. If only for this thread biko sheath your swords, let's discuss like its over yam, palm oil and some palm wine ![]() Cheers guys. |
JeSoul: ^lol. Why you dey vex now Chris... I shall send the email first before him ![]() Don't mind me jare, still reading the discussions going on here from time to time. I am still struggling to deal with Ihedinobi's paradoxical write up. failed state? failing in some? rising in others? ![]() Maybe towards the end I would give my summation of what I think Nigeria is and will become. I always say that when you land at the Lagos airport from outside the country then you have to redefine what many things mean. Corruption is not when baba Kontagura puts in his son in a position that should be meant for someone else it is just survival. Corruption is not when mama iya basira contracts her daily supply of cow leg to her brother in law regardless of the fact that he is Hindu, its just survival for her family. In summary I don tire for Nigeria wahala. |

Nigerians and free stuff. Why the hell is the CPC sticking their noses in one of the most successful business in this country If it was that simple and easy to run a cable television biko where is HITV even with their initial gra gra where are they? These guys have tried abeg, having bouquets as low as 1500 abi 2000. IF you cannot afford it, leave it alone. Cut your babariga according to your size. Someone has to pay for the gel Mozez uses on his hair or for Ikpeba to make a totally boring match look interesting ![]() |
Ihedinobi, I did not want to answer you on the deep sight issue but just incase you are thinking you made sense, let me tell you why I still think it was in bad taste andhow you lack a fundamental understanding of lagos and Nigeria. First and foremost the rich people in Nigeria especially lagos are the most security conscious people. The very rich have bullet proof cars and some have gun slinging mobile policemen on standby. Your asssertion that because he is upper class society which makes him unconcerned with security issues is factually basless. Victoria Island is as safe as it can get in lagos, there are times when you have to go out late to do something like take your sister Jesoul to that christian night club at oriental hotel. If not him then maybe they would get someone else, and those people who jejedly stayed in their houses still get robbed, your argument folds completely on itself. Finally how does all this spell hope? Walks away shaking my head. |
Ihedinobi: Figured I should address this. You'll forgive me, won't you? ![]() Yo Yo YO YO This is so not cool, you have just demonstrated that you lack the practical and intellectual onus to discuss anything Nigeria and Nigerian. So what about the people that were in their houses? They should not be in anything less than a fortified bunker? SHAKING MY HEAD ![]() |
JeSoul:Quick question/s 1. What role does figures of speech have to play in most of what was written above, IMO there is a lot of figurative speech that should not be necessarily interpreted literally. 2. How much do you trust their knowledge of biology and the human development process? And finally really, I have asked time and time again, if a foetus would kill the mother, who would you save? Because there can be no double standards, "murder should be murder" |
Getting and staying married. |
Sagytarius: MFMLWKMD |
Yo, DISCLAIMER: THIS IS IN GENERAL TERMS There are at least three broad forms of cheating viz: Emotional Physical Emotional & Physical You see a man is a very straightforward creature, if men were to be a programming language we would be a basic machine level language that understands just zeros and ones, a man does not need a valid reason to want to have sex with another woman aside from the fact that she looks "hot" on a very basic level. A man does not need to do any permutations and think is she good enough or is she smart enough? Maybe to have a real relationship or to settle down with yes he might consider that, but in a very basic and primal way a man is moved by what he sees. When it comes to physical cheating the man is suspect 9 out of 10 times. Women on the other hand I think are more of emotional cheaters if and when they have to. Just like intercourse while a man mostly needs just friction to get "heavenly feelings" a woman needs many things and factors to be in place for her to leave a serious relationship such as marriage and cheat. Women by nature screen the men they get into bed with most of the time, men don't as much. No amount of wishing away would change the fact that men will cheat regardless of what the stakes are, Bill Clinton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, JFK, Tiger Woods.........the list is endless. So for a man you need to look at when the physical cheating crosses into "emotional & physical" while for the woman when the emotional crosses into "physical & emotional" for the woman. There are also many other factors such as being lonely and lack of attention, etc which can drive either party to cheat. My 50 cents. |
