ahiboilandgas:My brodaaa ROI is the key thing o. I cant put 4.5-5m on Just tuition alone, and not recover it back in the 2yrs post study visa. E no make now ![]() Roi has been my main thing in this abroad waka |
dizzynet:wow, well I kinda think your first class in MSC played a factor in the sense that although you got the offer before the final result but as soon as they got to know your got first class they had to start the application for the work visa thing you said is applicable to a green card. That's good to know you have relevant certf in Project management with the 3yrs experience, I also have relevant CERT's In Networkin/IT security, I think what i have to focus next to gain the same luck as you is a first class in the Masters program. |
dizzynet:wow that's great. My fear with Ireland has been the policy of first considering citizens for a job before immigrants. It seems you did exceptionally well, did you finish your masters with a distinction? Did you get professional certificates. the reason I ask is because I am also interested in IT, but In Network security/Info sec. I have a little work experience in the role and own a couple of IT certifications in network and IT security. I don't know if after Masters program and possibly more higher IT certfs , if that could boost my chance like it did for you in data analytics. I will like to hear from you tho |
who says you can't run both? Business is not all rosy as these guys are painting it, all those stories about boiz in Lagos island, alaba and co. trust me I have been there done that and still doing. its not rosy! Be prepared to lose all your sweat made in years with just one bad business move! For school, most graduates come out with just a Bsc and expect a fat paycheck to land on thier lap. That's why you hear them complain that certf is rubbish. who will pay you heavy cheques because you have just a Bsc. The same Bsc that thousands out there also have. so what makes you special? When you have extra additional skills to a Bsc in Comp sci. there is no way you won't stand out from the crowd and command high figures. Infact for someone who is business driven, after working for x no of years as an employee. you can quickly start up your own firm with your skills and experience gained. All these guys saying mini import and ko. baba its no easy as it seems o. This Christmas season alone business is very slow in Idumota market, buyers are scarce, no money for Naija. Mehn dey liquidate thier goods to travel out with thier family. Except say no be this same Idumota I dey. You can always start business any day you wake up. but to get that knowledge from a higher institution and get the needed experience as an employee has limited time. The choice is yours! |

Wiinnd:Uhmm...lemme have a heads up wussup |
Career: I didn't complete my Cisco CCNP R&S exams that I started this year. Finance : Should have pulled out some cash from Bitcoin months ago rather than Holding to the end, but it's all good. Goals : Canada Study visa failed I will still get that PR las las |
Every time the oil estimates would be at 2.2-3 million per barrel, but we have not even maintained 1.9mbpd consistently, yet we make unrealistic expectations. When last can we boast that we pumped 2.2-3 mbpd |
I don't have any physical thing to give but I have tons of E books videos links to share. From motivational books to investment books to IT books to IT videos to ethical Hackings books, I can share them all. all you need do is ask |
kamsy4God:lol, sharp guy. I have thought about this before but never had to try it out. It should work except someone who has attempted it and failed should share with us. |
Could we have a 16-17% rate coming months down the line? With Foreign investors outflow going steady, and a depleting Forex Reserves. Its crystal clear that Emefiele will want to defend the naira at all cost (Political campaign tool ) so that should mean Higher rates coming soon.Who else is seeing what I am seeing , abi am I seeing wrong? |
Best graduating student from the Medical Department. Her brain is on fire, she should be sent abroad for intense medical research, we need to preserve her brains o ![]() |
I sabi this girl right from Uni days, and she has always been the wild type. She used to have a Group where guys meet girls for "runs". She's the crazy type tho |
speedyconnect3:its no easy bruh. But will you fold you arms and keep your money in the bank instead. That's why I said Buy and Fence, the reason i said fence, its because its a good way to wad off Omoniles. land dispute/Problematic land can be avoided to a large extent if people took the right professionals to sites before purchase. Thankfully Omonile lawyer (mod of the property section and property lawyer) here on Nairaland has shared a lot of the tricks they use to sway buyers all for free. I believe everyone here should read through his threads to learn a thing or two. |
How about Signature, I see that artworks when I pass through Ikoyi and its beautiful |
Diyke4rich:Not like I am saying anything new from what others have said. You can run both, in facts that's what I do. Take money from rents and Pump it back into Tbills, Then use the money from Tbills to acquire more properties after some years of accumulation. However, if you sell that house, then don't put all that money into Tbills. U can buy some lands, fence it and hold. put the others into Tbills. so say u sold the house at 15m, u can do a 50/50 split. 7m to acquire and fence a land, 7m into Tbills. U can lease the empty land to farmers to generate small cash, to add to Tbills overtime. When Tbills is grown, u can take a chunk of it and acquire another land, fence keep! rinse repeat But then this is my own opinion |
tritritri:Hello Mr tri tri, we meet again. Am I still in T.bills yes I am. Funds still untouched ![]() Does trading Crypto mean Tbills doesn't make sense? NO... Most people who trade Tbills either have a business running or involve in Forex or something else. That I do Crypto doesn't mean that Tbills is Dead. I have my reservations for Real estate, here is a link of what I feel about Renting vs Land flipping .https://www.nairaland.com/878880/treasury-bills-nigeria/532#68748363 More so, I am a strong disciple of compound interest, I grew from a family who stuck with it and saw the benefits. So its heavily ingrained in me. Concentration in an Asset BUILDS wealth while Diversification PRESERVES it. Never forget that. #Dunno why you want to reopen old wounds even after making peace |
MarieAnn2012:studied Geology like you too. for professional courses related to that, you can look up all these health and safety courses, HSE 1 and co. except you want to branch out to the computer field |
No he doesnt, God only presents, You do the choosing. If God chose spouses for us, he would be taking responsibility for the failures in that marriage. How can you say God will choose a spouse for you, when he could as well chosen other vital things in your life such as Salvation. God only Presents , We do the choose. To make the Right choice, we have to WATCH and PRAY! |
This watch is the same watch that HushPuppi used to taunt Phyno. Hush claimed to have bough his 40m naira, so I wonder where these bloggers saw 700m for Patel that's not even diamond encrusted. |
Its common saying that after study, the Uk govt sends the individual back to his/her home country. However, I want to ask this question. Is it true that if You graduate with a first class over there in UK, you will be retained and not sent back? |
That means Beatfm pays entry level </= 100,000 |

yeyerolling:That's because they never want to work all their life. they are always in search of a man who will provide them with all the fantasy and desires of their heart |
The only beat FM OAP that talks without faking accent |
Grupo:Well That's his responsiblity, although some if these tenants can misuse the privilege that a landlord is taking care of his house. They even expect a landlord to come and repair the sink they use inside their kitchen because he has maintenance attitude ![]() Do tenants pay for service charges? I guess not, so if a landlord should repair stuffs like that, its out of his good will. Over here rents increase in 50k ,100,150k + for flats. |
Nice nice, I have some of these laces in my store. check my thread albeit old, I have newer stuffs. |
Grupo:when last did your landlord touch the rent before you start claiming it's unfair. Just 10k? that one no be increase now.... |
lool How can you negotiate rent with a landlord when you are known to delay rent payment. Some people pay their rent 6minths after when its over due, how do you think that helps in negotiating? Moving out? I will be happy if some tenants move out because it gives me ample opportunity to re arrange the house and put it a higher rent! Sometimes its hard to raise rent prices simply because so so tenant is an Old client in the compound, so if you wan move out na to my advantage ! ![]() More so, as a wise landlord when tenants pay their rent, you send them a sound warning that next year rent will be increased so they either prepare for next year or be ready to pack out #Cunny man die, cunny man bury am ![]() |
I criticize the strategy very often, because I noticed that some bosses are just after the money and not bothered how the employees are coping to meet the target. Some targets will be met better if the strategy is uptight |
I know Osborne towers, I know a couple more towers in high brow areas of Lagos like In banana island and in Ikoyi , I can boldly say that there is no place in Lagos where you will pay as much as 20m rent per month. That is a big lie. No towers in Lagos will charge you that high per month, I stand to be corrected |
